I booked this trip at Christmas and we have been looking forward to it since then. I genuinely cannot find fault with Grand Horizon, and cannot understand a lot of the negative comments in the reviews. This is our 4th holiday to Gran Canaria (6th in the Canaries) and hands down, this hotel is the nicest by far. There were plenty of staff around the complex, whether that be cleaning, or by the pool/at the bar. 24/7 reception/customer care team have been perfect from my initial enquiries in December, through to checking up if everything is OK during the stay. Notably, Yasmine and Sabrina are 5* personal concierge and answered any questions in a timely manner. One of the key selling points is amazing sea views being at the top of the mountain. We booked an Elite suite with private pool and we genuinely speechless when we arrived. The entire complex is spotlessly clean and built to a very high standard with super high quality finish. I’m usually ready to go home at the end of a holiday/break, but this time I’m genuinely sad to be leaving today. Beautiful hotel. Fantastic staff. Amazing views. - "Really enjoyed our stay at the Montebello. Check-in was easy despite having to wait as we arrived a few hours early. The room was on 9th floor and was perfect. The balcony had 2 sunbeds along with dining table and parasol. Shower was lovely although we did think it was only cold water until we realised you need to turn on the boiler in the kitchen area :-) heads up there to any future guests. The location is great too - easy to walk down either steps or slopes to main centre /marina. Taxi back is €4.25 max. Good little grocery shop onsite although a little pricey- there’s a super Dino in Morgan mall which is best place to stock up. Beds- clean and comfortable Room was very hot so we asked for a fan from reception which helped. Pool was clean and sunbeds were plentiful even in half term. Little snack bar was nice for salads chips etc."

Both times times standards have been consistently excellent for this charming hotel. When I’m searching for a place to stay in GC, I always require and look for rooms that are safe, the staff are switched on friendly, and helpful. I search for clean modern rooms, decent clean white bedding and towels, good WIFI which I can log on to with my phone and Laptop or Ipad, air conditioning, very easy and close public or taxi transportation and even closer access (walking distance) to restaurants, supermarkets/shops. The Corona Cederal ticked all my boxes. The rooms actually look exactly as the pictures. Nayra was very friendly, helpful, and fast with my check in. She was expecting me and provided the room details there and then -which are login codes to access the premises and your room. This was super helpful because I was overheating when getting to the property and just wanted to get to a cool room and shower. The hotel is up a slight hill, in a quiet area approximately 5 mins walk away from the buses going both ways. The new Morgan Mall, brick brack shops and restaurants is less than 10 mins walk and Puerto Rico Beach is 10 mins walk the opposite way. - "From 9am to 9pm this ‘small’, simple and very clean hotel with a great view over the city is highly recommended. But from 9pm to 9am it’s a different story. The entertainment in the evening is of really mixed quality, but the worst part is that it is extremely loud and often goes on until midnight. One of my personal favourites is Dj Domingo who shows pictures of himself as a baby, but also weird pictures of cats and horses on a big tv screen while playing music. The best part is, that the other guests didn’t seem to mind. Felt like hidden camera. There is also a hotel “hype” man who tries waaay to hard and ends up being offensive and aggressive in his behaviour. He likes to shout really loud in the microphone. Also after 11pm. We lived on the top floor and it was super hot in the evening and at night. With no aircon, we had a hard time sleeping. The crazy loud evening entertainment from the pool/bar didn’t help us falling asleep. Last but not least, a lot of the other guest ‘reserved’ sun beds before the pool opened, but didn’t use them until hours later. The staff didn’t do anything about it. A beer is 3,9 euro which is a little expensive compared to the bars and restaurants nearby. Solution for the hotel: install Aircon or at least some fans and stop the loud music at 11pm. It would improve this hotel a lot. Sadly, bad sleep every night affects the rating. 3/5 stars."

Our place offers two separate rooms that need to be booked individually through Airbnb:

Room 1: One double bed and a small dresser.

Room 2: A space-saving loft bed for two as well as a wardrobe – ideal for friends or solo travelers.


Both rooms are simply furnished. Please note that the property cannot be used exclusively unless both rooms are booked at the same time. Otherwise, you will share the apartment with other guests.

In addition, there is a shared bathroom with shower and toilet as well as a small kitchen with fridge and two hotplates. There is also a living room available.

The house is inhabited by several parties.
Thanks to its central location, you are quickly in the beautiful fishing village with three beaches and can explore the surroundings comfortably. Supermarket, pharmacies and a bus stop are within walking distance.

The property is located in a basement with high ceilings – so not a typical basement with a low ceiling height!

The apartment only has windows in the entrance area, and each room has a window to the hallway.

This quiet, unique place has a beautiful terrace.
The bedroom for rent has two twin beds. Bunk bed. Ideal for two people, or two young couples or a young family with a maximum of two children.
The bedroom is private, the rest of the apartment is shared, you have to share with me. The furniture is new, the kitchen is fully equipped.
You need to access it by stairs, I don't recommend it for people with mobility issues.
