The apartment is located on the outskirts of the traditional fishing village of El Cotillo. And yet the historic town centre with its old harbour is only a 5-minute walk away, where there are some of the best Tapas and fish restaurants on the island. A fantastic French bakery is in the immediate vicinity (2 minutes’ walk), as are small cafes and eateries for all tastes and budgets. The supermarket is also 5 minutes’ walk, adjacent to small shops and boutiques which invite you to shop for local produce and gifts. Doctors, Chemist and cash machines are all very close by.
The airport is 40 minutes away by car, we recommend a hire car or our airport transfer service to your apartment door. 15 minutes’ drive takes you to Lajares, a favourite place for Ex pats to take up permanent residence, it has a cosmopolitan & hippy chique feel while keeping its Spanish charm
10 minutes further takes you to Corralejo, the main resort in the north of Fuerteventura, with an abundance of local and international shops, restaurants and bars. Dinner followed by an hour or two wandering the old town and harbour is a favourite local past time.

From the large terrace you have a direct view of the beautiful lagoon beach of El Cotillo. On the terrace there are comfortable seating for 5 people and 2 sun loungers. After a few steps you reach the beach through a small garden gate. The pool area is also just a few steps away.

The downstairs area had more than enough room for our family of 3 and the bedrooms were roomy enough. El Cotillo is a really laid back town. We loved it. Not too developed, so it feels like a Spanish town more than a tourist resort. It has many lovely restaurants and bars - we didn't have a bad meal the whole week we were there. The beach to the south of El Cotillo is a long, gorgeous stretch of sand and much loved by the surfer dudes whose rusty camper vans populate the town. To the south the beaches are calmer and beautiful and, if you like bird spotting, there are even mud flats a little further up the coast (still walking distance). The north of the island has much to see (Calderon Hondo, Corralejo Dunes and Betancuria are all worth a visit), but really it's the beaches here that take the top prize! It was a great week. Thank you."

Almost all apartments are located in the complex have a size of about 40 square meters and are all the same cut with living-dining room kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, terrace or balcony. Only four apartments have a frontal sea view. Due to the "sloping" layout of the other houses, most of the apartments (ours) have beach and sea views depending on how the location is. Sometimes the apartments even have mountain views. So you can enjoy sunrise or sunset from the balcony or terrace.

The Apartment 'Casa Los Lagos' (51)

The approximately 40sqm apartment is located in the lower floor (ground floor) of a house and is reached via the spacious terrace. Due to the staggered situation one takes neighbors hardly was. The apartment consists of a living / dining room (sleeps 2 for children / teenagers) with fully equipped kitchenette. Next to it are the bedroom with large wardrobe and the bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and washing machine.

The destination- El Cotillo

El Cotillo, the original coastal town in northwestern Fuerteventura, is far from the hustle and bustle. In the alleys of the old harbor district meet fishermen, individual tourists and wealthy Majoreros who have built their second residence here. The charming little town of El Cotillo is known as a paradise for surfcracks, high waves and good wind conditions. There is plenty of sun here. In El Cotillo, for example, an alternative surfing scene has been established, always in search of new challenges. There are ideal conditions for "windsurfing", "kitesurfing" and traditional surfing. A small supermarket (delicious breakfast sandwiches / baguette!) and more shops are only 4 to 5 minutes walk from the apartment.
