My apartment was huge and had everything I needed. The decor is a little tired but is was perfectly clean. The room was cleaned and towels were changed every other day and my bedding was changed three times during my fortnight stay. Staff were very helpful. It was very quiet during my stay, so plenty of sunbeds but the pool was far too cold for me to swim in. The layout of rooms is a little confusing at first and there are a lot of stairs to negotiate. After a couple of days I found the shortest route in and out with the fewest stairs! Great value for money."

Our room had a small lounge/ kitchen area, 2 separate twin bedded rooms and a fantastic bathroom with walk-in shower. The location was excellent, literally steps away from the pool. We booked breakfast at a cost of €5 pp per day and added half board for 3 days, taking advantage of a special offer of half board for €12 per person. Breakfast consists of cereals, fruit, continental cheeses and meats, full cooked English breakfast options, along with a variety of breads, croissants and pastries, hot drinks and juices are also included. Dinner is buffet style, with salad, meat dishes, pasta and a couple of kids meal choices. On one of the nights, it was a tex mex buffet with tacos, fajitas, rice, chilli etc and this was probably the best meal we had there. The hotel has a daily happy hour 4-6pm and prices have not changed from last year so you can get 2 pints of Cruzcampo for €2, as well as wine, soft drinks and cocktails all 2 for the price of 1. Entertainment is generally in the form of a kids mini disco as well as variety acts and singers. The bar is open most nights until 11pm, or 12pm. The staff work tirelessly to keep public areas clean and maintained. The Santa Rosa is located around 15-20 mins from the resort centre, with a wide selection of bars/ eateries, with a few just outside the hotel. We would not hesitate to rebook!"

The Property

Estrella de Mar Apartment has been tastefully decorated with a starfish and sea theme. This can be felt once you step inside the apartment which has been equipped with our clients’ comfort in mind. The apartment forms part of Playa Roca apartment complex. What we love about this apartment is its ideal location. One is able to enjoy a quiet holiday whilst being in close proximity to the sea, bars and restaurants and all amenities Costa Teguise has to offer.

This apartment sleeps 4 persons and has a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, and a second twin room. There is also another bathroom with shower as well as a fully equipped kitchen / living room and a spacious terrace where you can work on your tan or enjoy a nice glass of wine while watching the sunset.

The kitchen is equipped with all pots, pans and equipment you will need to create your favourite dishes and has been prepared with an oven, hob, fridge, microwave, filter coffee maker, Italian coffee maker, kettle and toaster.

The Area

Costa Teguise is one of the main tourist resorts in Lanzarote located just 12 minutes away from Lanzarote Airport. It is especially important as it was created by Lanzarote´s well known artist Cesar Manrique. When in Costa teguise one mustn't miss out on visiting the ´Pueblo Marinero´which is a small fishing village with many quaint bars and restaurants. A market is also held there every Friday night from 19:00 hrs.

Costa Teguise is also well known for a variety of sports and leisure activities such as windsurfing, snorkeling, golf, swimming, the waterpark etc. It is also about 20 minutes away from the well known tourist attractions of Jameos del Agua, Cueva de Los Verdes and Jardín de Cactus.

However we would comment as follows: The access instructions regarding entry into the complex and the code for obtaining the code fir keys should be with folk perhaps 2 days before arrival. Our text was sent whilst we were flying and it was only with help of a neighbour with Wifi that the message came through. A Tourist book would have been so helpful, there was not a trace of any. Similarly, a guide to the house facilities (we had issues with the electric cooking hob) etc would be useful. The apartment looks a bit tired e.g settee not that comfortable and the cooker. That said we enjoyed the balcony and tranquillity of it all."

The house is located in a very quiet residential area and a few minutes from Pueblo Marinero and the main beaches but away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. On our local beaches you can easily practice scuba diving and diving. Also, due to its atmospheric conditions, Lanzarote is the ideal place for stellar observation. Those interested can enjoy this unforgettable experience from a stellar observatory. In addition, close to the apartment you can find a large choice of restaurants, bars, flea markets, car rental, bikes, etc.
