However, on opening the door, which lead into a beautiful communal entrance, our expectations instantly rose. On opening the apartment door we exhaled and were blown away! The size, the decor, the view!! We fell in love with the place immediately and spent a good hour or so just settling in, checking the place out and absorbing the atmosphere and the location and view from the veranda. The owner (Morris) arrived on the first day to welcome and greet us, a warm, charming and friendly man who gave us information about the apartment and restaurant recommendations - as well as a welcome gift of one of the best bottles of red wine we have ever tasted! All rooms are spacious and tastefully done up to a high modern spec yet still maintain an ease of comfort and relaxation. The area itself is lovely, the view is ever changing and surrounded by lovely restaurants and easy walking distance to shopping areas and the port area. Of course due to location there can be noise in the evening of music and people seated outside restaurants in the streets below; this did not bother us in the slightest but it could be an issue for others, however, the veranda doors block out noise successfully. We spent a wonderful week here and 100% intend to return."
