And when I called to ask for help he talked to me like I was an idiot- totally insulting. Once I got past the check in everything was wonderful. The room was gorgeous with beautiful finishes. Its a little further from the total tourist trap of the main part of the strip which i loved, but only like 2 blocks removed- so an easy walk, but queiter and more local charm. Our house is small 50m2 yet very comfortable, one bedroom and a kitchen studio, stress free, with a relaxed atmosphere with self-care and personal boundaries. We do not rush. It's a long view approach to life.

You can access the storage room, if you need to leave some hiking appliances for instance. Kitchen with anything you might think of is at your service. Coffee and tea count as an always welcome drink. Everything small you might need in a house you find here. Washing machine, ironing table, dishwasher.

During your stay
You will live in a separate room, you have keys. Me and my daughter are staying in the same apartment in a shared space so you will probably see us at evenings or mornings. The apartment is 50m. With balcony and a storage room. Please, do not hesitate if you need anything. We can share a bicycle during your stay.

Other things to note

The space
A very charming, private room in the heart of Reykjavik’s city center. The room is located in a quiet, family street but has still all the advantages of being in the center of Reykjavik’s culture and night life. The house is 5 min. walk to the best restaurants, bars and the main shopping street, Laugarvegur. Besides being a quiet street in the centre of town, it is also located only 3 min. walking distance from BSÍ, the city’s main bus station. The Flybus from KEF airport stops at BSÍ so you can easily walk straight from the bus to your room without sore legs. BSÍ is also where most all sightseeing tours leave from. This is very convenient if you want to explore the country.

The room is one of four private rooms which have shared access to a bathroom, shower, kitchen and washing machine. The accommodation we are offering is more like a small homey guesthouse, with a private entrance and is separated from our apartment which is on the next floor.
The room has been newly renovated and has a brand new double bed (it can also be changed in to 2 single beds). The room is perfectly suited for one or two people.

The kitchen is fully applied with a stove, microwave, fridge and cooking appliances.

We also offer a bike-rental with brand new bikes for very little money.

From October to April we offer special winter prices, 25%-50% off, depending on the time and length of your stay. Please contact us for further information concerning the winter prices, if you are interested in booking a room in the winter time.

One of the city's most popular swimming pool, nice gym area or a visit to a grocery store is just within few steps away. If you have a rental and want to get out of the city for a sight-seen tour this is a great location to skip the traffic and head straight to any direction for your next adventure.
