We rent a holiday apartment with love and passion in a more than 120 years old parsonage in Katerbow. Katerbow is our small village near Neuruppin. It is surrounded by forests, fields and meadows with cows, horses and sheep. In autumn, many migratory birds gather on the Katerbower See, which is also a popular angler's paradise. However, this is only partially suitable for swimming.

If you freeze easily I would recommend asking in advance to heat the apartment before your arrival, because warming up the place takes a while... However, from the moment it's warm, it stays like that for long :) Any time we had questions, Anke and Ressi were available and helped very quickly if needed - they are very kind and great hosts, which cannot be taken for granted and we really appreciated that! In the area around are many places for taking a walk in nature or to hike and Neuruppin, the biggest place in the area, is also not too far, for buying food or for eating out. Romantic, child-friendly apartment in our farmhouse with an idyllic large garden in Schweinrich, right on the motorboat-free Dranser See (on the edge of the Mecklenburg Lake District). Only 100 meters from the swimming area. Boathouse with its own jetty, kayaks and sailing dinghy (knowledge of sailing required) can be rented if required. There is a riding stable in the neighboring town of Babitz.

The accommodation
The approximately 70 sqm two room apartment is located in our farmhouse with a large idyllic garden. The apartment has a living room with a comfortable 3-seater sofa, bedroom with double bed 160x200 and bunk bed, bathroom, a kitchen and a small hallway. WLAN access to fast DSL (50,000) is available.
The 2,500 sqm garden can also be used. The garden is only partially fenced and borders on a paddock of a neighbor.

The neighborhood
Schweinrich and the Dranser See lies in the Stechlin-Ruppiner-Land nature park on the edge of the Mecklenburg Lake District. To the north, adjacent to the Dranser See, there are other lakes that flow into the Müritz. The Dranser See is one of the few clear water lakes in Brandenburg and has an excellent water quality.
In summer there is also a snack bar with small dishes and drinks at the bathing place.
The small village of Schweinrich has no shops. A mobile baker comes twice a day and supplies the village with baked goods. You can get eggs, poultry and meat from your neighbors, mushrooms from the forest and game from the forester. In the towns of Wittstock or Flecken Zechlin, about ten kilometers away, you will find various supermarkets with long opening hours.
Schweinrich is an ideal starting point to experience the wonderful natural surroundings and to explore the cultural highlights of the region. B. From Hamburg, take the A24 towards Berlin. After approx. 160 kilometers, leave the motorway at exit 19 Wittstock-Pritzwalk and head towards Wittstock.
Caution! A flash unit is waiting for you behind the entrance to Wittstock. Take advantage of the opportunity to shop in Wittstock and go to refuel.

Arrival by train is possible via Wittstock / Dosse. From Wittstock it is another 10 km to Schweinrich.

A bus connection to Wittstock only exists in the morning and in the afternoon on weekdays.
