Our familial Hotel B&B is located in the most ideal street for a stay in Valkenburg. The city center is a few seconds walking distance, but in the evening you can still enjoy a well-deserved night's sleep. From this place you can discover (after an extensive breakfast) our marl city and the hilly area of South Limburg in many ways.

This very cozy room, located on the 2nd floor, is suitable for short stays. In your room you have access to a private bath room with shower. You'll be sleeping on Swiss Sense box-spring beds. These can be separated or facing each other. The rooms may vary in size.

Our B&B is located in the beautiful Oud-Stein. It is a room with breakfast. The stylish decor of the garden you can use as a guest and the shared bathroom make the space a nice place according to previous guests.

The very small budget room is part of B&B de Hofnar. The room is located next to the shops and restaurants in the center of Maastricht.
It has a double bed of 1.40x2.00 meters and the room is 9 square meters. The bathroom and toilet are in the hallway. With an access code you can enter the B&B for 24 hours.

The space
You can always sit in the breakfast room to have a little more space. There are magazines, games and also a fridge with soft drinks, wine and various beers, a cupboard with chips and sweets and a coffee machine.

The space
The Broodhuis Kerkrade is located in a beautiful mansion with an authentic facade. The house was built as a bakery with a shop in a street that was an important shopping street in the Bleijerheide district at the beginning of the 20th century.
In the mid-20th century, the bakery closed and it became a private home. Since 2017, Jan and Margriet Bayense have owned the property. And they have converted the entire 1st floor into a bed & breakfast run by Margriet. The four rooms have lovely box springs, armchairs, table, mirror, etc. The rooms can be completely darkened. On the kitchen block (with refrigerator) you can prepare a delicious meal yourself. Pans, kettle, Senseo machine, coffee pads, sugar and powdered milk are part of the standard inventory.
The bedrooms can be locked with a key.

Surroundings
The surroundings are a special part of the Netherlands. You are at the foot of the hills, in the foothills of the IJfel. From your accommodation, you can start various walks. You can go in all directions by bike. The distance to Aachen in Germany is only 10 kilometers. There are several museums to visit. For children, it is wonderful to go to GaiaZoo animal park in Kerkrade. Also within walking distance, you can discover the world in the Continium discovery center.
Kerkrade is part of Parkstad, a partnership of the municipalities in the former mining region; the part of the Netherlands where the mines provided the greatest employment in the past. There is a lot to see about this in the Heerlen mining museum. The Schacht Nulland in Kerkrade belonged to the former Domaniale Mine in Kerkrade, the oldest coal mine in the Netherlands. This mine runs under Bed & Breakfast Broodhuis. A special place in the Netherlands.
The Broodhuis has four rooms.

Rooms
The rooms are all equipped with box springs, where you can sleep wonderfully. There are two single beds 2 meters long and 80 cm wide. The mattresses have a luxurious molton and a 100% cotton bottom sheet. The pillows are 100% anti-allergenic with a 100% cotton molton cover. The duvet covers and pillowcases have been carefully selected from a hotel collection.
On the bedside tables, there is a night light that turns on by touch. In the linen closet, you can store your clothes. You can relax wonderfully in the armchairs. TV is available on request.

Bathroom 1
This bathroom from 2018 has a shower cabin with rain shower. You can also use the spacious bathtub with shower head shower. Above the sink is a mirror cabinet with lighting, equipped with sockets for the razor or hair dryer.
The toilet is also in the bathroom.
Bathroom 1 is rented with the Graanveld room.

Bathroom 2 was built in 2020. This bathroom has a walk-in shower, a toilet and a sink.
Bathroom 2 is rented with the Heuvelland room.

Kitchen
For the preparation of your hot meal, the apartment is equipped with a kitchen block with two electric plates and cupboard space with pans, dishes and cutlery. The refrigerator is also in the kitchen.
A Senseo machine, kettle and sandwich maker complete the kitchen equipment.
There is a wooden bench on which you can sit when you are heating or cooking something. But in this meeting place, you can also have a nice chat with each other.

Bookcase
A filled bookcase is available with something for everyone. Books to dream away in, to study, or just to browse through. There is some information material and some reference books about the area.
Those who prefer to play a game can find the board games there.

B&B Broodhuis is the ideal base for Chio, Pinkpop, Dutch Mountain Trail (DMT) or WMC, Limburgs Mooiste, André Rieu and many other activities in South Limburg.

Guests have their own, enclosed room as shown in the photo. Outside the room is the private bathroom. Each room has its own bathroom. Furthermore, there is a shared kitchen. In the garden, there is a terrace with chairs. Room Graanveld has a private roof terrace.

The ideal base for hikers and cyclists who want to explore the Heuvelland!
But if you want to visit cities Maastricht is 9 km, Valkenburg 9 km and Aachen and Liège within 25 km.
The Huuske is rural in a small village so for shops and the like you have to be 3 to 4 km away.

The space
A small and simple, cozy cottage with all the comforts!
The cottage is for 3 people, but due to the sofa bed, extra people can sleep (pass on) or if double bed (1.30x2 m) is too small, the sofa bed offers a solution!
To reach the bathroom, you do need to go through the bedrooms!

There is a sauna on the property that one can also rent off privately (€20 per 3 hours). There is also a wood fired Hot tub that one can rent ( costs the 1st x €40, and the 2nd x €30,) this should be requested at least 4 hours in advance due to the ignition.
The garden will be shared with the residents. Guests may pick ripe fruit and herbs from the garden for their own use (raspberries, cherries, currants, plums, etc.)
The cottage can be reached via its own entrance to the side of our house.
