Our guest house is located in the old part of the city just behind the big square. Around the square are several cafés, the restaurant and shops, library, cinema and a small museum. It takes about 2 minutes to walk to the square, 5 minutes to walk to the train and bus station and to Astrid Lindgren's World and Astrid Lindgren's Näs it takes about 20 minutes.
Parking is available nearby.
There are no playgrounds in our small garden but a larger park is only a 5-minute walk away.
The space
The tourist office is in the square. Near the city, there are swimming lakes and nature areas as well as several destinations related to Astrid Lindgren. There are no cooking facilities but a kettle, tea and coffee in the room.

This year we have decided to rent out our recreation room in the basement so that more families can come and experience our nice city. The house is centrally located with proximity to the city center, shops and Astrid Lindgren's world.
Your family will be close to most things in Vimmerby when you live in this quiet villa area. You rent a room in our basement which is about 14.5 sqm in size. It is a private entrance to the basement level.
The space
You rent a room in the basement. The basement has a private entrance, and you pass two rooms and a hallway (laundry room and storage room) to get to your room.
In the room there is a toilet as well as a storage room. In the storage room, there are disposable items in the form of food plates, deep plates, knife, fork, spoon as well as glasses and coffee cup. There are 10 of every day you sleep here. In the storage room there are also 4 duvets, pillows, blankets, extra mattresses, garbage sorting, etc.
In the room there is a shelf with books, games and things for some crafts.
Smart TV is available with YouTube and Netflix.

Stay in the center of Vimmerby, close to everything! You live in the same house (floor 2) as the cozy café Green Fika where your breakfast is served. Everything at Green Fika is vegan, gluten-free, and without nuts & almonds. We are a family of five plus our four-legged family member Milou. It's me, Anna, my three daughters who are 18, 16 and 10 years old plus Peter, my partner. Milou is a Lagotto, a breed known for being family-friendly, kind and social. Their fur is like wool and they don't shed. Two of my daughters have fur allergies but they don't feel anything from Milou.
Milou is curious about (almost) everyone she meets and would love to say hello and get a little pat. Milou sleeps with us at the other end of our large apartment, and she is never in the room that we rent to guests.

With us you live in a secluded location in our large garden. Private glazed terrace and furnished terrace. DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR OWN BED LINEN AND TOWELS. Great location with walking distance (5-10min) to the city center, Astrid Lindgren's World, Astrid Lindgrens Näs and grocery stores.
The space
The cottage was built in 2001 and is about 20 square meters. Here you can stay four
people (best suited for 2 adults and 2 children) and sleep in bunk beds and sofa bed (a little cramped) plus extra bed if desired (let us know). There is a kitchenette equipped with microwave, coffee maker, hot plates and fridge. The bathroom is tiled with toilet, sink and shower. Note: Please bring your own bed linen and towels, this is not included in the rent. Household/toilet paper and cleaning equipment are included. The cleaning is not included in the price and we trust that our guests clean up after themselves as instructed. If cleaning is desired, there is a fee of SEK 500 and should be ordered at the time of booking, in case of no-show or poor cleaning, the fee is taken afterwards.
Charging of an electric car is not allowed, charging poles are within walking distance.

In our charming loft cottage Lillekulla it is easy to enjoy both outside and inside.
In the cabin there is all one might need for a few days of comfortable accommodation. In addition to lakan and towels, which you should bring yourself.

Here you choose if you want to hang out with someone, or sit yourself and look out over the water.
Rowing boat is included in the rental - if you want to put your own electric motor, that's fine! Fishing licenses are easily solved through a visit to the nearby Frödinge store, only 7 minutes drive from here. If you want sea breezes, seagulls, boats of different kinds and first class food, a visit to Västervik, the pearl of the Baltic Sea!
Two canoes are available for rent. 2 adults 2 small kids per canoe option two adults and one larger child per canoe. Talk to the host about price & availability!
The cottage is easily accessible from all directions, so even by bus from Västervik and Vimmerby when the stop is only 1 kilometer distance. If the host is able, pick up is taken at the stop.

The cottage is modernly updated with a new kitchen (2017) and amenities such as convection oven, stove and dishwasher (2017). In the bathroom there is also a washing machine for those who want to wash up the holiday laundry before home or onward. For warm evenings and nights, the newly installed AC cools nicely! Ahead of 2021, new flooring was added in the whole house.

The cottage is completely and fully utilized by the guest. Adjacent to the cabin is a storage room used by the host, but it does not affect the guest's availability to the cabin. The beach is shared with the host and the world's children & dog.
In the cabin there is a bedroom with a place-built bunk bed, 80 cm wide beds. In the upper living room there is a sofa bed, 140 cm and in this room is also the fireplace of the house. In the lower room, the master bedroom of the house is located with a double bed and a pull-out single bed underneath. In total, there is the possibility for a maximum of 7 people to stay, depending on how the beds are distributed. Be sure to state the correct number of people when booking, as this affects the price.
The garden is to some extent shared with the host, but the main garden of the guests is a secluded garden part bordering the river, to the right of the house.
Other things to note
The host lives in a house about 10 meters from the guests' house. Therefore, it is important that guests respect and use only the part of the garden that is intended for the guests. Evening hours are encouraged to quieter activities and as it is responsive, it is appropriate that activities after 8 pm are carried out indoors.
The lawn between the houses is private & the host's. Guests parking is the spot to the right of the garage pad.

A stone's throw from Vimmeby city you will find this Småland idyll. Stay in this nice guest house on the farm Krönsnäs dating to early 1800s. You have about 4km to Vimmerby Centrum and Astrid Lindgren's World by car, but there is a footpath that takes about 20min to walk. Next to the courtyard, beautiful Stångån runs where you can rent your own boat with fishing possibilities. The house is newly renovated in 2017 and there is a lovely patio with barbecue possibility.

On the lower floor there is a kitchen, dining room, bedroom and a big bathroom with double sinks and big spacious shower. In the bedroom, there is one cozy fireplace and two bunk beds. There are also two high chairs in the dining room as well.
The upper floor is a large lovely bright room with completely open layout and exposed ceiling beams. There are two double beds on each card side with separators creating rooms in the room. In the middle there is the living room with sofas, poufs and TV. There are also two cribs for the smallest guests.

At the entrance (north of Vimmerby on road 23/34) to the farm you will see two milk pots on an old milk bench. Across the street is the "Welcome to Vimmerby"sign with Pippi on it. Once you have driven in, turn left and follow the signs to the guesthouse's own parking.
Beautiful Stångån is located 200m below the farm and there you have the opportunity to rent a small boat for 300kr.
