Charming Bed and Breakfasts in Mariefred

This B&B is 2 kilometers outside the city center. It's open May-Sept.
The guest space is in the ground floor of the house. You will have your own entrance, toilet and shower. One bedroom and a living room. Beds are made. Shower towels and simple breakfast included.
Children and dogs are welcome.
We have 2 outdoor cats that walk freely on the property.

The space
One bedroom with 2 beds (90 cm spring mattress). A living room where there are tables/chairs and a sofa bed (2 beds). Private toilet and shower. Play TV is available and free WiFi.
Private patio. Free parking.
You will arrive to made beds. Shower towel and simple breakfast included. You do NOT need to do any cleaning. If you are more than 4 guests (older than 7 years) and some can imagine sleeping on mattresses on the floor, we will arrange it.
It is not possible to cook, but there is a coffee maker, electric kettle and microwave and of course a fridge/freezer to put food in.
Sauna is available at extra cost (SEK 100/hour).
2 bicycles can be borrowed.

Guest access
This is in the countryside but very close to Mariefred. Close to horse and sheep pastures. The forest is nearby. Cycling and walking distance to the city.
Gripsholm Castle is a must-see. The city has an old city center and most special is the local history museum with its coffee in the garden. Narrow-gauge museum railway that is run non-profit and the steamboat s/s Mariefred (which goes to and from Stockholm in the summer) are some of the city's other prides. Since 2023, there is now also a 140-meter long spectacular artwork fence to view at Gripsholm's inn. The theme of the fence is the history of Mariefred and its surroundings. It was created in connection with the 500th anniversary of Gustav Vaasa.
For families with children, there is the Pax hike (after the children's/youth book series PAX, which takes place in Mariefred. It is about old folk beliefs and creatures) to follow via an app.
Proximity to the Sörmland Trail for hikers and the Näckrosleden/Mälarleden for cyclists.
Take a full day/several days in the forest, leave your car here and come back for a shower and possibly a sauna.

During your stay
Someone from the family is very likely to be on site during your stay. Annelie can be reached by phone for questions. I can certainly pick you up at the Läggesta train station if needed. Hikers on Sörmlandsleden, I am happy to pick you up along the road. We can load 2 bicycles on the car's tow hitch with a traditional bicycle rack.

Other things to note
No smoking indoors.
Smokers should walk a good distance away from the house if they have to smoke.

The space
The guest houses are newly built in 2022 and are 25 and 15 square meters in size. 6 beds are available for the guests in two separate rooms as well as a fridge with freezer compartment, stove, dishwasher, TV with chromecast, charcoal grill, and two verandas.
