This Cosy modern air conditioned cabin is only 5 minutes drive from the CBD of Katoomba and walking distance to the beautiful Minnehaha Falls National Park area.

There are cooking basics supplied like Salt and Pepper, Olive oil, Canola, Balsamic Vinegar, Milk, Sugar, Tea, Coffee. There is also pumped soap in the shower.

Towels, bed sheets and doona are provided and there are also over fifty DVD's to choose.
The space is clean, modern and very private but yet is still close to the road (100 metres) in case of emergencies.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CABIN IS ACCESSED ON FOOT FROM THE ROAD DOWN A DRIVEWAY AND GRAVEL PATH WHICH WOULD NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES. ALSO ANYONE WHO PERMANENTLY USES CRUTCHES OR A WHEEL CHAIR. ACCESSING THE LOFT BED AREA WOULD AGAIN NOT SUIT ANYONE WHO FITS THE PRE MENTIONED PHYSICAL ISSUES. THE WALK FROM THE TOP OF THE DRIVEWAY TO THE CABIN IS AROUND 80 METRES.

Please note that there isn't television reception in the cabin but there is a stereo, DVD player and a selection of DVD's to view, these can be found in the draws in the coffee table. The 32inch TV has Chromecast to get many of the popular streaming services plus Youtube.

Great WiFi

It comfortably accommodates two people. All nationalities, cultures, genders, religions are most welcome. I love to meet new people. On-site and street parking.
10-15 mins walk to train station, buses, cafes, restaurants and shops. Catch a bus from town to echo point where you can see the Three sisters and walk to the Scenic railway etc.

The space
Cabin is situated in a private garden and is self contained. The house is on the corner of Victoria and Rupert. Best access is to come into Rupert St and drive into 1st driveway on right (back entrance) where cabin is located in garden.

Other things to note
The Blue Mountains is such a beautiful area, where currently, the air is fresh and crisp. Each village has a community feeling about it, but all welcome visitors who would like to experience a taste of what we taste.

Light, airy self-contained cottage with adjoining bathroom (plenty of solar heated water), kitchen with kettle, toaster, microwave, utensils, pots, one burner induction cooker, fridge; solar heater plus air conditioner; sleeps one or two people. The bed frame is European king size (200 X 200). On the frame are two king single soft mattresses with 2 generous doonas, extra blankets and pillows.
Cabin is located in quiet garden, 15 minute walk from train station.

The space
The space is designed to be ecologically sound, beautiful and comfortably user friendly all at the same time. Everything (I think) is provided to make your stay comfortable. Because the space is used by many guests who are sensitive to strong smells (perfumes and essential oils), it would be greatly appreciated if this was taken into account when you stay with us at Painter's Paradise. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.

The access is via a 15 metre gravel driveway so is not suitable for disabled people, unfortunately. Please bring a torch as the driveway is quite dark at night.

Other things to note
Please remember to park in front on the verge
and walk on the gravel driveway to the back behind the house. I ask guests to be mindful of how much rubbish they produce and reduce this as much as possible. ...we're living within a World Heritage Area. What a privilege.
Space is limited so travel light.

This unique little rustic cabin is like something magical out of the movie 'The Hobbit'. Built all out of recycled materials with a bush outlook . It has all the comfortable amenities you need after a day of exploring the amazing world heritage Blue Mountains area. About 10 minutes drive to the famous three sisters, main shops and restaurants of Katoomba and Leura. Easy driving distance to all the major walks and sights. Kitchenette, private toilet/shower and parking on site. Cabin size 25 m2

The space
The property backs national park down a gentle valley. We are set down an 80 metre long concreted driveway amongst the beautiful hanging coral ferns that house the endangered Blue Mountains Skink (lizard)

The studio cabin is separate from the main house which we, as the hosts live in. The entrance to the studio is separated and private from the main house.

Kitchenette has electric cooktop (plug into wall socket), and electric oven (also plug in) and grill. Toaster, kettle and basic tea (black) / coffee and sugar is available as with salt/pepper and oil for cooking. (There is a BP statiom which has basic groceries 5 minutes drive away. Coles/Woolworths under 10 min drive away). Bar fridge, microwave and all normal utensils and cutlery etc are provided.

It is a $15-$20 cab ride from the Katoomba train station. There is a cab rank out the front on the busy side of the station(turn right at the bottom of the ramp from the platform). Local taxi number is 47821311.

There is a bus that comes about once every hour from the station. Contact us for timetables if you know what train you are getting in. The property has mobile reception for Telstra mobile phones (and its subsidiaries). All other services are available up the driveway (about 80 metres) onto Glen Rd itself. Internet Wi-Fi is available.

No smoking inside please but outside is fine.

Guests have full private access to the back area of the cabin that looks out to a bush block where you can enjoy the afternoon sunshine with a cup of tea or glass of wine. Parking is to the side / front of the cabin.

Please note as stated before, we have Telstra (and its subsidiaries) mobile reception on the property. All other mobile services are available if you walk up the 80 metre driveway and onto Glen Rd itself and perhaps another 20 metres.

Being in a small valley there are NO TV channels available here. We have a selection of DVDs for you to choose from.

Internet: we have wifi but cant guarantee super fast speeds for things like high res streaming. North katoomba has bad copper wires and when traffic is high it slows down. And it cuts out when it rains. But it is more than adequate for surfing, and youtube and iview is usually fine. The password and wireless name is in the guestbook.


The space is about 25-30 square meters including the bathroom.

We are ideally situated in the glorious Blue Mountains and are very close to iconic bush walks, Cahill's Lookout and many others, and just a ten minute walk to Scenic World and other local attractions. La Pineta is a stylish, unique and charming little cottage nestled amongst the trees and offers an intimate, private and atmospheric space. Come Visit!

The space
Our guests have commented that once here,they don't want to leave.You will love the little space that is La Pineta, an ideal romantic escape or just right for one, we have put a lot of thought and care into making sure this a delightful, warm, cosy and romantic place to stay: a quality bed and linen, comfy sofa and a warm slow burning combustion stove for those chilly winter months. La Pineta is separate to our house, beautifully appointed, fully self contained and easily accessible with it's own private entrance. There is a kitchenette with everything you need to enjoy the space for short or longer stays as well as a washing machine for your convenience. Our place is a mix of old and new and quite eclectic. The beautiful cast iron wood fired heater is atmospheric and will keep you warm in the winter months. Outside is a lovely terrace nestled under a canopy of trees, with tables and chairs and BBQ for your use. The trees and gardens attract a myriad of bird life which is wonderful to experience, King Parrots, Black Cockatoos, White Cockatoos, Bower Birds, Wattle Birds and Honey eaters. We are approximately 10 minutes walk from Scenic World and the annual Sculpture at Scenic World in April and May and close to many glorious walks - Prince Henry Cliff Walk, Ruined Castle, Narrow Neck and the Furber Steps and it's a great space to stay and relax after the music festivals and eclectic arts events in the Blue Mountains area.
We cannot accommodate children as we have a slow combustion heater and this poses a burn risk to young children and toddlers. We also do not accept pets because of allergens in the studio and birds and wildlife on our property.

Guest access
Access to the studio is down the drive, through the carport and your own gated entrance. Keys are accessible via a key safe at the gate and the code will be made available on booking. The entrance is well lit and all on one level. Guests are welcome to spend time in the garden, please help yourself to our gorgeous herb garden, and spend time in the lovely entertaining space in front of the studio set among the trees. great for reading and relaxing and spotting some our fascinating bird life. There is plenty of free parking on the street near the property.

Other things to note
We love to make your first night/morning easy and have supplied fresh milk, teas and coffee, so you can settle in for the first day at La Pineta.

Netflix is available for your convenience and a variety of books and magazines if you want to snuggle in and read and relax.

The sound system has Bluetooth to access all your favourite music on your smartphone.

Our little Cottage named Aroha Studio Aroha means love in N Z Maori is a lovely little romantic getaway for two nestled in a quiet street of Katoomba at the back of our property. The beautiful garden has plenty of wild cockatoos and parrots and the property is only a 900 metre walk to the famous Three Sisters rock feature at the Echo Point lookout. There are bush walks all around our immediate area for you to explore and it's not far to the cafes and restaurants at Echo point. A perfect spot.

The space - our studio is newly renovated and has been made into a self-contained unit with a kitchenette. The Studio has all the mod cons including Air Conditioning, a TV with a media streaming centre, modern bathroom and electric blankets, efficient heating and a kitchen with all the appliances needed to prepare food. Decorated it in a tasteful, uniquely mountains style, is cosy and comfortable which makes it perfect for a weekend getaway for a couple.

Guest access - entry is via the driveway and you have exclusive access to the property via the driveway and priority parking under the carport located at the house.

Once parked in the carport we recommend backing into the driveway to best access the studio especially if you have luggage in your boot, you can walk down the private wooden stairs that lead to the studio entrance.

Please note, the studio shares the property with the main house, and you have access to the driveway, carport and the studio itself. The front and back yards and the house itself as well as the street parking directly in front of the property are reserved exclusively for the guests at the house.

Other things to note - please note that the Studio is located directly next to the main house, noise is kept to a minimum, but you may on occasion hear some noise from the main house. Very rare and not a regular occurrence but something to be aware of.

The front and back gardens are for the exclusive use of the guests of the main house so will not be accessible to guests of the Studio, but the Studio does have a great view of the garden.
