Feel rested and at peace when you stay in the rustic yet chic cabin known as the Lazy Larch. This self-contained 230 sq. ft. cabin is full of cozy charm and warmth. Nestled in the middle of a small field, it offers views of the pond, a tamarack forest, and stunning sunsets from the covered deck. In the winter months, you can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or walking the 2 to 5 km loops of trails. Our resident chickens provide fresh farm eggs for breakfast, and we supply the coffee and tea to start your day right. The galley kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you need, including a full fridge, gas stove with oven, microwave, coffee maker, and all the cookware you'll require.
Bring your fishing rod and try your luck at the stocked trout pond, or simply relax on the cuddle couch with a good book. Firepits and wood are provided for wonderful marshmallow roasts. Just 6 km from Rocky Mountain House, our property is a short drive to the beautiful Abraham Lake and the community of Nordegg. Crimson Lake is only 15 minutes away, offering opportunities for boating, paddleboarding, and enjoying lovely beaches. There are also countless backcountry trails perfect for horseback riding. If you’re an equestrian, we provide a great place to bring your horse for an overnight stay or to participate in local clinics. We are located 20 minutes Northwest from the town of Rocky Mountain House close to the Crimson Lake Provincial Park. We will only give the exact location once the property has been booked for privacy and safety reasons. Our property features its own trails and forest. For added enjoyment we are 7km from the Crimson Lake Provincial Park and a convenient 20 minute drive from the town of Rocky Mountain House.
Chip's Cabin is a self-contained cabin with an upstairs loft that includes 2 double beds while the main floor has a double pull out sofa, a 3-Piece bathroom and a full kitchen. The owners live on the property in separate housing. Guests have Chip's Cabin to themselves.
The deck has a great view of the Alberta foothills with access to your own BBQ and views of the horses in the pasture. A communal fir pit is available depending fire bans and weather permitting.
Inquires for more than 3 people will not be accepted. We do not do long term rentals. As this is a working ranch and for privacy reasons, we do not allow visitors who are not registered guests on the property.

Gorgeous cabin in a country setting 10 min north of Rocky Mtn House, Ab. This little gem is ideal for year around holiday as its heated and has lots of quality amenities. The Cabin features lots of beautiful tile work, wood stove, full shower, kitchen, covered decks and private fire pit! Seriously close to tons of outdoor recreational and historical locations. Crimson Lake, Cow Lake, Twin Lakes, Clearwater River & North Saskatchewan River are just some of the ideal sites in close proximity.
Other things to note
Cleaning fee to be paid for by renter for stays over one week. $65. Please message us for specifics but do plan on covering this cost if your stay will be over 7 days. Thank you

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. North of Rocky Mountain House 10 mins. Off grid Cabin having most of the amenities of home. Sleeps 5 comfortably, Wood fire place, BBQ, Pots/Pan and dishes. Great little place close to town, looking to unwind in a rustic cabin with family or your partner this is a good option. We have a 10 acre forest with 600 meters of private walking trails ski/Snowshoe. Unwind in this quit place in central AB.
