Just a 15-minute drive away, Castle Mountain Provincial Park and Ski Resort delivers incredible powder and short lift lines, perfect for skiing and snowboarding. A bit farther, only 50 minutes from the cabin, is Waterton Lakes National Park, one of our favourite destinations, featuring a stunning lake framed by iconic mountain peaks, along with a charming nearby town full of excellent dining options. To the north of Beaver Mines, you’ll find the winding Oldman River, a renowned spot for world-class fly fishing, summertime river rafting, and scenic riverside exploration. For those eager to explore beyond the well-trodden paths, we provide some books with hidden hiking trails and unique local gems. For our European guests, reaching the cabin is easy. Most international visitors fly into Calgary, where rental cars are readily available. Before you leave the city, consider renting outdoor gear – you’ll find plenty of options. From there, take the scenic drive south along Highway 22 (The Cowboy Trail) to Highway 3 (Crowsnest Highway), which hugs the eastern slopes of the Rockies. You're expected to have your own sleeping bag/bedding. It is very tiny, but also very charming. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The outhouse is super clean with a big window for light. The location is so private that a bathroom with a window just allows you to gaze out into the trees and meadow beyond. If you're arriving at night, be sure to have a flashlight. This is a very cute little place. Just recognize that the only bathroom is an outhouse, and the kitchen includes a mini fridge, camp stove, dishes, pots and cutlery."

This cabin is situated in the heart of the crowsnest pass in the lovely town of Bellevue. Fully-furnished and a great fit for families, outdoor adventurers, or for those looking for a laid-back getaway.
Plenty of recreation activities available right from the back door!

The space
The cabin includes two en-suite bedrooms both with queen size beds, a bedroom with a queen/single bunk bed, and a private curtained area downstairs with another queen size bed. The cabin also features a full size kitchen, 3 bathrooms and two outdoor adjoining seating areas which is perfect for that morning coffee! The place is also fixed with a beachcomber hot tub available for the guests!

Follow along the backside of the property to discover a wonderful campfire area. One bundle of wood is included for each booked night stay (if fire restrictions are not in place), additional bundles of wood are available for purchase prior to booking.

Within walking distance are two playgrounds, Fireman's park, and plenty of hiking and mountain bike trails etc.

There are many other activities located in the Crossnest Pass within driving distance such as the Bellevue Underground Mines 5min and Franks Mountain 7min.

The 2024 Arctic Spas, Yukon Prestige saltwater 6 person hot tub has been installed and is ready to go! we also have an extensive collection of children's VHS movies in the children's bedroom. This cabin will host 2 families comfortably. The view of the Frank Slide from the back yard is amazing. Both of the ceiling fans have built in speakers so you can connect via bluetooth to play your favorite music. Device name is MX-light. I hope you have a great stay!
