Cabin in the Meadow is a newly constructed quaint & secluded custom built cabin; hand crafted with love & timber off of our own land, where rustic primitive and modern technology meet. Tucked away overlooking the meadow and surrounded by fir trees, it’s the perfect little getaway.

We specifically designed our cabin for the comfort of two adult guests.
For safety reasons, we have a no young child/toddler policy, infants & children over the age of 12 welcome.

Special Seasonal Notes: Fireplace: During the summer months we turn off the fireplace pilot light, if you desire to use the fireplace please let us know and we will be happy to relight it for you.

Driveway: During the winter months the steep driveway to cabin is well maintained, plowed & sanded. However, we highly recommend AWD vehicles.

A scenic 30 minute drive will take you to Schweitzer Mountain Village, where there is everything from bluegrass festivals to huckleberry picking in the summer and world-class skiing in the winter.

The Festival at Sandpoint's Concert Series in late July through early August is an annual event not to be missed!

There are endless opportunities to sight-see, bike, boat, paddle board, kayak, swim, raft, hike, sail, ski, snowboard, snowshoe or just relax in our picturesque town.

We have uniquely decorated this cabin so that you feel warm & welcomed, and rest assured that cleanliness is of utmost importance.

Chances are good that you will see Wild Turkey and Whitetail Deer, if you’re lucky a Moose and/or Black Bear may pass though. Please do not approach the wildlife.

Surveillance cameras are in place at the driveway entrance and on the parking spaces only.

We live onsite and are close enough to accommodate you quickly if there's anything you need, but far enough away you won’t be disturbed.

Our romantic Swanky Cabin is newly renovated and features an open floor plan, one loft bedroom with a Layla queen bed, a full bathroom with shower and washer and dryer. The well-equipped kitchen and adjacent dining area make this a great spot to dine in . You can also BBQ on the deck overlooking the gorgeous Clark Fork River and enjoy dining in natures finest!

Please note: during snowy winter months 4wd is required. You must drive down a mini semi-steep hill for parking. We will have snow plowing during winter months and we ask that you move your vehicle when the plow comes by so they can clear the entire driveway. Also, depending how long your stay is, we may need to come by and shovel the snow off the deck and the front entry way, but we will be sure to give advanced notice. - "This was a beautiful property and amazing home! With every little thing put in the home with love and care, you can tell! We had a blast playing pool, enjoying the views, and paddle boarding. You do have to scale the hill with a rope to the river but we didn’t have any issues! Still got the paddle boards down , we did have to carry them up a bit to prevent the water rise at night washing them away. We had a very friendly pup visit us by the water and swing who wanted nothing but to play! What a joy! Neighbors were no bother and still seems to be pretty private from them. Sadly we could not have any fires due to the season but I’m sure they’d be beautiful, instead we watched the helicopters collect water from the river for the nearby fires. We used our paddle boards to go about two miles up river to the fish hatchery and back and explored all the woods and beautiful mountain run off spots further up off shore. I love to explore new places every year and this will definitely be one of my favorites! Very memorable and anything I didn’t have was supplied for my forgetful self. Leave the city, come breathe some fresh air and relax with the majestic cedar trees!

I have a nicely decorated, clean one bedroom cabin (550 sq ft) in 12 acres of forest far away from the hustle of modern life. Come to hike, walk, swim, read, write or just watch the stunning pine trees.

A queen bed in a small bedroom, sleeper sofa and small loft with a queen mattress are available for two people to choose their sleeping spot. There are ample cotton linens, necessary kitchen amenities, dishes, wine and martini glasses, etc. and a washer and dryer.

Unplug from it all and relax in the peace of your own forest. I live up the hill from the cabin; however, the privacy of the forest hides my home. No neighbors can be seen from the cabin and my Whispering Pines Forest is pristine.

Watch the deer and turkeys walk by, play a game of horseshoes and use the old fashioned outhouse. Don't worry the cabin has plumbing, hot water, a toilet and shower/tub! (It is a small bathroom with a low ceiling.)

There is no T.V phone or internet and the cell reception is spotty. You can walk up the short, dirt road to get cell reception and then log into my internet, if desired.

Unwind with a good book, build a puzzle and take a contemplative walk in the forest or nearby trail, about 5 minutes walk from the cabin.

There is easy, ample parking in front of the cabin with lots of room for your toys (boat, ATVs’, etc.). Bring your saw and fall a dying tree, if you like! Afterwards light a campfire in front of the cabin to relax.

More action oriented, head three miles down to Lake Pend Oreille at Talache Landing for a swim or to launch your canoe or kayak. Mirror Lake, a small lake, is also about two miles away for swimming and rentals of small boats or old paddle boats for $30-45 a day. Bottle Bay is a nice swimming beach with a little restaurant too.

Head into Sandpoint for restaurants, a beach walk and swimming, parasailing, small plane sightseeing, lake cruise, horseback riding, boat and bike rentals and nearby hiking and surrounding area.

*The neighborhood is mainly doublewide homes with working class folk. The surplus of dogs can occasionally bark. A neighbor runs a generator for his power (grr!!), so you can hear a low hum when outside the cabin if you are attempting to sit in silence. If you are talking and moving around you will not hear the generator.

There is a convenience store and gas station (Conoco) and Dollar Store (with some groceries) 20 minutes or so from the cabin at Sagle Road and the 95. The grocery stores are in Sandpoint, another 10 minutes north. There is a Super One in Athol 45 minutes south of Sagle right off the 95 on your way up, if you’re coming from the south.

Calm Waters Lakeside Cabin offers accommodations in Sagle, 28 miles from Silverwood Theme Park. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free Wifi. Outdoor seating is also available at the vacation home. The vacation home consists of 3 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a coffee machine, and 1 bathroom with an a bath or shower and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are featured in the vacation home. There's also a seating area and a fireplace. Guests at Calm Waters Lakeside Cabin can enjoy skiing and cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. Spokane International Airport is 74 miles away.

Adorable Float house in Bayview ID. Studio type with 2 full futon beds in common areas separated by 1 bathroom each with their own smart TV. Right on the water with gorgeous views of Lake Pend Oreille and surrounding mountains. Head to Farragut State Park to Hike, mountain bike or take on the Tree to Tree adventure Park (zip lines and obstacle courses) or even frisbee golf all 3 minutes away. Enjoy roller coaster ride thrills or Boulder Beach water park at Silverwood Amusement Park only 10 minutes away. If you just want to chill you can sip coffee or a yummy beverage right out the back door!! Bayview Mercantile just a walk up the dock for groceries and several restaurants in the area that will have live music (seasonal)🎵 just walking distance. The Dock Bar and Grill,, Captains Wheel, and a couple other upcoming restaurants opening soon! Ralph’s cafe for ice cream, coffee, breakfast and lunch with a laundromat next door just in case!
