This charming shabby chic and private waterfront cabin is a wonderful place for two people who want to get away from it all! Our romantic Swanky Cabin is newly renovated and features an open floor plan, one loft bedroom with a Layla queen bed, a full bathroom with shower and washer and dryer. The living room features a wood burning fireplace, high-speed internet, 2 large flat screen TV's, pool table and a large sectional sleeper sofa. The well-equipped kitchen and adjacent dining area make this a great spot to dine in . You can also BBQ on the deck overlooking the gorgeous Clark Fork River and enjoy dining in natures finest!
During the summer enjoy some of North Idaho’s best fishing, unlimited hiking, swimming, crawdad hunting, kayaking and basking in the warm sun! After enjoying a long day on the river, head in to watch a DVD, play some pool or choose a board game to play.

Please note: during snowy winter months 4wd is required. You must drive down a mini semi-steep hill for parking. We will have snow plowing during winter months and we ask that you move your vehicle when the plow comes by so they can clear the entire driveway. Also, depending how long your stay is, we may need to come by and shovel the snow off the deck and the front entry way, but we will be sure to give advanced notice. - "This was a beautiful property and amazing home! With every little thing put in the home with love and care, you can tell! We had a blast playing pool, enjoying the views, and paddle boarding. You do have to scale the hill with a rope to the river but we didn’t have any issues! Still got the paddle boards down , we did have to carry them up a bit to prevent the water rise at night washing them away. We had a very friendly pup visit us by the water and swing who wanted nothing but to play! What a joy! Neighbors were no bother and still seems to be pretty private from them. Sadly we could not have any fires due to the season but I’m sure they’d be beautiful, instead we watched the helicopters collect water from the river for the nearby fires. We used our paddle boards to go about two miles up river to the fish hatchery and back and explored all the woods and beautiful mountain run off spots further up off shore. I love to explore new places every year and this will definitely be one of my favorites! Very memorable and anything I didn’t have was supplied for my forgetful self. Easy instructions and amazing hosts. Thank you for opening your home for others to enjoy!"

This is the perfect getaway cabin any season of the year! The cabin backs up to the Kaniksu National Forest and many miles of dirt roads and trails for hunting, hiking, 4-wheeling, motorcycles, side by sides, horseback riding, bike riding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling with a warming hut up the road. Access right from the cabin to many trailheads like Goat Mtn, Scotchman's Peak, Morris Creek and several lakes. Lake Pend Oreille is only 7 miles from doorstep to boat launch. Schweitzer Mtn is a 45 minute drive, the town of Sandpoint about 40 minutes. Very close to Cabinet Mountain Wilderness. Property is on Lightning Creek and the town of Clark Fork is just 3 miles down the road.

We met our hosts Tom n Shannon and shared some stories and learned a thing or two about the area. Loved the area so much we’re putting full court pressure on our spouses to possibly move up that way. Welcome to the Where We Roam Log Cabin! This modernized 4 bedroom log cabin sits up high on a private street surrounded by trees and mountain views. Enjoy your morning coffee out on the large deck! Walk to town! Take the gondola (which you can see from the cabin) at Silver Mountain, just 1 mile away. Ski, snowboard, mountain bike, hike, fish, hunt, golf, and visit the water park. Bring your snowmobiles and dirt-bikes with plenty of room in the garage.

The Space:
This log cabin backs up to the forest and is situated on a street with very minimal traffic. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, waffle maker, air fryer oven, blender, pots/pans, coffee pot, Keurig, toaster, electric hit water kettle.The rooms are very clean and updated. Luxurious down comforters, down pillows, and 100% cotton sheets.

This year we ran the Hiawatha Trail and we needed a place that could accommodate our group. Bear Creek Cabins was perfect for us! Miriam is a wonderful host and had everything ready for our stay. The cabins are clean and well kept. The outdoor kitchen area is amazing and we spent a lot of our time just hanging out there. I would definitely recommend staying here."

Located on the Coeur d'Alene River, this beautiful, new, riverfront cabin offers guests a private, cozy, and relaxing stay. We are sure you'll enjoy its gorgeous, cedar vaulted ceilings, dimmable lights throughout, new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, large kitchen island, beautiful hardwood floors, covered outside patio with Traeger grill, and awesome fire pit area down at the river. You are also provided with Starlink Wi-Fi. Flat screen televisions are located in the living area, bedroom, and the upstairs loft bedroom. The master bedroom features a king size bed with an adjoining modern tiled full bathroom. Upstairs room in the spacious loft, are 2 queen beds. For those who wish not to climb steep stairs (see photos), the couch in the living area pulls out into a full bed, and there is a blow-up air mattress in the bedroom closet. Mattress for full bed and Linens are provided for both (full bed & air mattress) in the bedroom closet as well. Off the Kitchen, behind the large sliding barn door, you'll find the washer & dryer, and 2nd bathroom (half bath). The kitchen is fully equipped with lots of spices, utensils, appliances, and basic amenities to feel at home. The cabin is comfortably heated by cadet heaters, however if you'd like to have a fire going, we have provided you with a few presto logs for use in our wood stove. For safety reasons, Presto logs only. It's a beautiful walk through the canopy of trees down to the river. This stretch of river is great fishing! It's also a great place to put your chair, soak in the sun, and stay cool with a cold beverage in hand! We've put together a guest guide book of local favorite restaurants, activities, and adventures: guided fishing trips, guided scenic floats, tours, etc.. so be sure to check that out! - "We spent a long weekend here over the 4th of July. Perfect setting for a great family getaway. The grounds are impressive with big pines and well manicured grass. A gateway to the private river access that connects to the property. Spent time fly fishing in the evenings and cooling off during the day. The house is cozy and comfortable with a nice kitchen and the kids loved the loft. Enjoyed cooking on the griddle and smoker outside (nice touch). Would highly recommend this home, and would stay again for sure. Thanks again for some great family memories! "

They do have electricity and are fully furnished just like "a bedroom out in the woods" and include a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, propane BBQ, etc. So, don't have (or want to haul up) an RV, tents, air mattresses, sleeping bags, lanterns, etc. for a great time on the river? This is truly a Gem! With such relaxing creek sounds, and the unique, charming woodwork and rustic finishing touches inside and out. There is a short, easy trail to the creek, an alpine lake less than an hours hike away. The Clark Fork River Delta is just down the road, and Lake Pend Oreille is less than 8 miles away. The property is backed up to Kaniksu National Forest and the proposed Scotchman Peaks Wilderness area. Glacier National Park is a 3 1/2 hour drive East. Love Nature? This is it.

The space
Situated in the mountains of North Idaho a short drive from Sandpoint, Lake Pend Orielle, and the recreation areas of Hope, Cabinet Mountians, and the proposed Scotchman Peaks Wilderness. Our one bedroom log cabin is rustic, but clean, warm and comfortable. No big screen tv and cell phone reception is sketchy, but there is wireless internet, a fully equipped kitchen, central heat and nature just outside the door. You will have the house to yourself but I will most likely be nearby on the property.

Winter visitors can expect quiet seclusion. The house is centrally heated and it is warm and cozy, (no fireplace). The road is plowed by the county, but 4 wheel drive is advised. Snowmobilers will find access to forest service land outside the door, and groomed trails up Trestle Creek (10 miles away) and across the Clark Fork River 3 miles away. Snowshoeing and Cross Country skiing just outside the door.

The resort town of Sandpoint is 25 miles away and Ski Resort Schweitzer Mountain is 8 miles from there.

Please explore and enjoy the trails. Please note that there are various building supplies stored throughout the property. For your safety please stay clear of these areas.

No discharge of firearms on the property.

Other things to note
When booking in winter months please take note that the driveway will not be plowed and accessing will require a short walk (about 150 feet). A sled will be provided to transport your things.

Working remotely is a real possibility at this cabin. The internet connection is through Starlink. Normally it provides excellent download bandwidth and low latency. Upload bandwidth can be a bit more restrictive at around 5-10mbps.

Despite feeling secluded, the cabin is walking distance to downtown Kellogg (Radio Brewery) and only a mile away from Silver Mountain Resort. Enjoy your morning coffee out on the large deck before your day of adventures. With a private storage area, you have ample space for your mountain bikes, skis, and any other adventure gear!

This log cabin backs up to the forest and is situated on a street with very minimal traffic. The first level consists of the living room, kitchen, one bedroom, and the full bathroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped and perfect for family meals (Waffle maker, Keurig, electric kettle, and air fryer.

The living has a heater fire place and a large smart TV.

The second story has recently been fully renovated with three bedrooms and a full bathroom with toilet, vanity, and shower.

There are stairs leading up to the property from the parking spot, so please be careful of snow and ice.

Peace to our cozy cabin in the woods. In a town named after Lewis & Clark, you may very well find yourself feeling like you are stepping back in time along your journey. We are blessed with our Clark Fork River, Lake Pend Orielle, majestic mountains, National forests, & stunning views! Enjoy trees, trails, wildlife, huckleberry pickin, snowmobiling, kayaking, hiking, hunting, and more..fine dining to family fixins. Plenty to experience or simply relax, breathe and enjoy the peace!

The space
The private cabin provides one primary large private bedroom on the main floor with a king size bed, a dresser & full closet. You also have patio door out to a small private deck looking out to the wooded backyard. The 2nd bedroom is located upstairs using the treehouse style staircase with a cushy king bed. It is fully enclosed for privacy, yet there is the opening of the staircase and therefore it is considered a loft space. It has a peek a boo window that looks out over the living space and a small window looking outside into the back yard getaway! You have a portable air conditioner just for the loft. Enjoy the large front deck with table & chairs surrounded by trees. Grill over the bbq or fire pit & stargaze or sauna in the evenings. You have a fully stocked kitchen with a gas stove and all stainless appliances and a renovated bathroom & shower. Enjoy your ventures at the cabin.

We have happy chickens and several ducks… stop by the coop and say hello!
