Poised 900 feet above the Columbia River, this lake home is surrounded by estate vineyards, SageCliffe Resort and Spa and CaveB winery.

Views and Architecture:

The 1280 sq ft home on a 0.2 acre lot has expansive views from the living room and opens to a private beach. Powered by sustainable energy (hydro, wind), the home is edited down to the basics: steel, concrete and wood with a vision for Net Zero living in the future. The steel exterior is left to weather with the elements and also applied as a refined accent wall inside the living area blending with the fire place. The bold structural steel frame and the concrete floors are left raw, allowed to age naturally to show the passage of time.

Concerts:

We have a 6 seater VIP Box (season ticket package) to the concerts at the Gorge Amphitheater. Enquire with us for tickets.

Living + Bedrooms:

A vast living room opening to the lake. The home has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with 4 unique climate zones controlled by sensors and heated floors. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom, a decent sized wardrobe with views of the lake. The guest bedroom is quite spacious as well with a detached bathroom with a tub/shower and a washer-dryer tucked in. Both the bedrooms have their own temperate controls and TVs.

Kitchen:

The modern kitchen has new energy efficient appliances plus a wine cooler, toaster, microwave oven, coffee grinder with beans, kettle and is ideal for short trips or extended stays. Includes all kitchen utensils, pots and pans, children's plates/cups and comes with a Keurig Coffee maker and Coffee pods, variety of Teas, Hot Chocolate, Coffee Beans, Pasta and Pasta sauce, Olive and cooking oil, pepper, hot sauces, Ketchup, mayo, spices, condiments etc.

Hot Tub, FirePit, Gas Outdoor Grill:

The patio has an high efficiency firepit with time controls, a 7 seater hot tub, 8 Adirondack chairs, a gas grill and wine barrel set-up.

Internet:

The home is wired for extremely high speed internet provided by iFibre (both upload + download speeds clock at 1 Gig) and ideal for remote work and school.

CaveB Winery:

You can walk to the tasting room. They are open daily from 11am to 6pm and host live music in the summer, food trucks, pizza etc

The Tendrils restaurant at the SageCliffe resort has an extended breakfast, lunch, dinner, new bar and a wood fired pizzeria. Highly recommend to call ahead for reservations to the restaurant and for massages at the spa. Check out the newly opened Pizzeria.

Enjoy our vast collection of books, a wide variety of vinyl records and local art. Upon request, we may be able to share our private collection of Grunge records and early Pink Floyd (Syd Barrett!) LPs. We display our collection of Gorge concert posters, northwest Indian artist Yukie Adams's series, Lord of the Maps series and others.

- "This property is in the center of a small community of similar units overlooking the Columbia Gorge. The back of the property looks out onto a serene man made lake and the whole area is surrounded by vineyards. Its only a minute away from the Winery, resort and also next door to the Amphitheater. Weather was amazing and so many stars to see. Close to all the fun. We rented a boat at Crescent Bar nearby for some river fun. The owner was so helpful and assisted us to have acces to the Sagecliff resort pool for a day. We had an unforgettable experience and watched the perseid meteor shower at night. Bedrooms on opposite sides of the unit allowed for privacy in the home. Excellent accommodations and already thinking of when we could return for another relaxing long weekend."

Cave B Estate Winery and the adjoining Sagecliffe Resort and Spa are unique properties overlooking the bluffs of the Columbia River Gorge. The resort offers their own hotel rooms, cliff houses and yurt rentals. The main lodge features walkable access to their spa, Tendrils restaurant/bar and espresso, Sagecliffe wood-fired pizzeria carryout, a renovated Cave B winery tasting space and area walking w/river hiking access. Parking for up to 4 cars in the driveway and on the rock surfaces of our residence. The view is even better when you park off to the side in the rocky area, out of the way. (Perk of having the largest lot;) Also room for your boat trailer. We also offer a 220V car charger. The resort is a 5-10 minute walk, as is the amphitheater.

NOTE: Desert winds can come up quickly. We recommend securing personal items inside the home during windy times or when leaving the home for any period of time.

Amazing outdoor kitchen with sprawling granite, built-in BBQ, professional griddle and stainless appliances, including a dual oven are perfect for cooking. Huge sliding door invites the indoor/outdoor use. A wonderful mix of modern contemporary mixed with shabby chic, recycled materials. Two bedrooms with comfortable queen size beds -completely remodeled with luxurious white bedding and cozy seating, the Peterson is a perfect retreat. 6 guests can squeeze in with an airbed in the living space!

The space
The home is situated on the back portion of a single lot. The front section is an RV lot that can be rented together or separately.

The inside is cozy but it's the back yard space that we love the most. A huge granite slab dining table is perfect for hanging out while cooking in the outdoor kitchen or socializing under the string lights while chilling to the built in blue tooth sound. The the foodies cooking we love our grill but our true love is the professional griddle. We love cooking big breakfasts before the long days outdoors. It's a very nice area that has beautifully tree filtered sunlight, with daytime vistas and night time star drenched views. For the more practical there's a spare fridge and a small commercial icemaker that should take care of almost all your ice needs.

Adjacent to the outdoor area is the outdoor shower. It's a large, private shower with room to change in.

Guests of the Peterson have private use of the driveway and parking area directly in front of the house, the open utility shed, along both sides of the house and the backyard/patio. You are free to use the area in front of the large garage to move in and out but please do not park there or anywhere along the road. The driveway is yours to use as needed and perfectly OK to block if needed.

Other things to note
Eastern Washington can have very severe weather and is a rugged place. It is not uncommon for the air to be smoky, sometimes extremely smoky during wildfire season. Wildfire season seems to be getting longer and longer each year but typically late July through mid September are the most concerning. We do not specifically refund for weather and smoky conditions.

The community pool is current closed to guests. The wonderful riverside grassy park is open and a wonderful place to cool off in place of the pool.

Advertised Pricing: DISREGARD LISTED PRICE. The price AirBnB advertises is an average price foe a weeks stay, weekend rates are higher, please look at the specific dates you need.

Please be aware that Sunland does not have a grocery store. We recommend bringing all necessary food and meals with you. Quincy, located about a 20-minute drive away, is where you'll find grocery stores and other amenities.

Our property is near beautiful basalt cliffs, which are home to the little brown myotis bats. While these bats are harmless and typically not visible, they may occasionally hang out under the deck eaves at night. You might find their droppings on the patio table in the morning. We have installed a sonar device to deter them and suggest leaving the deck party lights on at night. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, as it is a natural aspect of our unique location.

If you plan to bring a service dog, we respectfully request you consider alternative accommodations. Our family home has a strict no-pet policy due to severe allergies to dog hair. Any hair left behind could result in additional cleaning costs, including potential replacement of rugs, bedding, or other items. Additionally, any damage such as yellowed grass will incur repair costs. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
