- "What a beautiful experience staying in this lovely space! Thoughtfully prepared for guest with a warm inviting home inside and out. I can’t wait to stay here again!" - "Everything was amazing about our stay! Nice, relaxing, and everything we were looking for and more! Thank you for welcoming us and making our stay enjoyable." - "This place was so great, I only regret that leaving a review only means it may be booked up more often so we won’t be able to. Location is excellent and cabin is amazing. But it’s the little touches from the host that puts its over the top. Anything you might think “it would be nice if they had ______ at this place” and they have it. From phone chargers near the bed and sofa, all the fire making equipment you need, kitchen accessories, spices, and everything to cook with, extra toothbrush and toothpaste, streaming services, bath robes, snacks, welcome gifts, and so much more. Lots to do in the house, outside the house and in the area. Will definitely stay here again."

- "We loved this cozy cabin getaway! We had all the modern kitchen, wifi and Netflix conveniences while feeling off the grid in this rustic cabin with a fireplace insert making the whole place warm. Perfect romantic weekend!" - "While this cabin provides complete privacy from the rest of world (with the most beautiful views), it's only 10 minutes away from anything you might need. " - "The location of this cabin was a perfect getaway from Seattle as it was less than an hour away. Very cute interior and lovely grounds. The river was absolutely epic, and it was really nice to have a fire next to it every night. The place itself ran a little bit cold even though there are two wall heaters in the kitchen in the bedroom. And if you are a light sleeper you will definitely need ear plugs for night time because you hear traffic. The sound of the river was soothing though. No personal communication from the owner, just an auto message, But at least it was informative."

Tiny cabin nestled in the woods
Cabin
North Bend, Washington, USA

Coziness awaits you! Come relax in our beautiful, fully renovated cottage nestled among the pines just 30 miles from Seattle in the quaint town of North Bend. We are located right off the road up to Rattlesnake Lake just one mile from the lake itself. Close access to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail and all of the popular hiking and biking trails nearby. We are just 20 minutes from The Summit at Snoqualmie ski area and just a few minutes to downtown North Bend & downtown Snoqualmie.

Our cottage was built in the 1950s and was the main home for the original owners that we bought the property from until they built the main house. When we bought the property, we decided to restore the cottage and bring it back to life for people to enjoy. We recently fully renovated the space, which sits next to our main residence. Our property was a full-blown rhododendron nursery in the 1980s-1990s so you will find it popping with color in the Spring and early Summer. The cottage boasts a regular sized kitchen equipped with a microwave, Keurig, stove/oven, refrigerator with quartz counter tops and stainless steel farmhouse sink. All cooking utensils, plates, cups, silverware, etc. are onsite. WiFi access and large flat screen smart TV with built in Roku with access to thousands of titles on Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as several other apps. Please note, we do not subscribe to cable TV. Built-in electric fireplace creates a beautiful ambiance and will make you extra cozy in the cottage. Large extended length sofa that two people can comfortably lay on! Bedroom equipped with super comfortable queen sized bed you melt into. PLEASE NOTE: the bedroom has an angled ceiling for maximum coziness, so it’s very low on one side. Guests need to take extra caution when walking through the bedroom. Air mattress also available upon request. Bathroom has beautiful marble vanity and full sized tub/shower combo with stocked shampoos, shower gels.

In the Summer months, outside you will chairs to relax and gaze up at the stars at night! Recently added is a propane fire pit to enjoy with easy start that also doubles as a table.
You may also hear the little laughter from our two small daughters. We will be sure to keep noise to a minimum. We also have chickens (no roosters) onsite but they are on the other side of the property so you won’t really hear them. And our black house cat may occasionally wander by. She is very friendly and would love a pet.

We hope you will come experience the relaxing ambiance of the Rhodie Cottage nestled among the pines!

We always have a two night minimum and a 7 night maximum stay. For stays longer than 7 nights, feel free to send a request and we will determine if we can handle or not. Thank you!

Guest Reviews:

- "We enjoyed our stay at the North Bend property. The hosts were very responsive, responding to us within minutes. The small house was just off the street and was very quiet. Our granddaughter who visited us in the purple house was able to walk with us to the city park. It was a great stay" - "The unit has several pluses - it is clean, has a convenient location and has comfortable beds. The unit is small but cozy. The kitchen/living area is very nice and well appointed. Kitchen dishes, glassware and utensils are excellent. The rental is approx 1 mile from the North Bend shopping district and restaurants. It is a flat walk of about 15 minutes. There is no air conditioner but we were comfortable even with sunny days with temps in the upper 80s. The unit is located at the foot of Mt. Si and cooled down nicely at night. The bed is very comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. We did not use the washer and dryer but they are large and look as if they would handle any laundry needs. The one negative that we had was the bathroom. The unit is on a septic system and there is a notice that toilet paper cannot be flushed in the toilet. Instead, dirty TP needs to be collected and put out with the trash. Even though we adapted to this unusual restriction, it made for an unpleasant trip to the loo. The other issue is that the shower is very small and water pressure is weak. The hot water supply was inconsistent so taking a shower was always a bit of an adventure. I noted our concerns with the bathroom to the owner and Ying was appreciative of them. The bathroom has an "at camp" feeling which is at odds with the modern feel in the living quarters. If you are up for "roughing it" this could be a good choice."

- "The cabin had all of the necessities for our family to enjoy a weekend of skiing, relaxing and enjoying family time while visiting Snoqualmie Pass. We were within a short 15 minute drive to the to the ski lifts and this made it easy to have lunch and dinner at the cabin. One night we even ventured to Snoqualmie Casino which was close by. The real log cabin was huge and well-stocked. The furniture was new and comfortable. We played games on the dinner table each evening. The wifi connection was really fast. The place is perfect for as little as one guest or up to eight. We booked additional nights through the owner's direct site... and well worth the savings so please check it out. Wesley was easy to communicate with and candid for all my questions. It's fun to support a great family business while receiving five star service. Thanks Wesley again for letting us use your place!"

Nestled in a tiny enclave of cabins just-off Interstate-90 in North Bend, this beautifully appointed retreat on the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River, is your gateway to 4-season activities or the perfect place to relax and spend time with the people who matter most. You can enjoy, hiking, skiing, Mt. Biking and all outdoor activities!

The space
Rustic on the outside, and contemporary on the inside--this 1100 square foot cabin is generously equipped with a modern kitchen, laundry, gas fireplace, WiFi (ten-megabit), smart-TV, electric heat and more. Wilderness living has never felt so luxurious.

NOTE - This property can be booked as a 1BR home or 2BR home depending on your needs (each is a separate listing on Airbnb). Regardless of which you book, you will have the ENTIRE property to yourselves. If you book the 2BR home, you get access to both bedrooms and if you book the 1BR home, the private BR (shown as the 13th photo in the 2BR listing with the narrow windows) will be locked off and inaccessible. This allows us to reduce the cost to couples who only desire a one-bedroom home.

Guest access
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire property.

Other things to note
TRAVEL INSURANCE - In an effort to keep rates reasonable and maximize calendar availability for serious travelers, we have adopted a strict cancellation policy. If you believe there is a chance you'll need to cancel your reservation after booking, please purchase the optional travel insurance from Airbnb or a third-party provider. Exceptions to the cancellation policy are unavailable.

INTERNET - This home has low-speed broadband which is suitable for streaming video and basic web/email use, but it is not suitable for remote work.

CELLULAR COVERAGE - Due to our location in the mountains, cellular coverage can be limited or non-existent. Some visitors report having a bar or two of coverage, while others have reported intermittent to no-service. Please ensure that your smartphone is configured for WiFi calling, then join the WiFi network as soon as you arrive to ensure that you have phone service.

ROAD NOISE - The home resides next to the river, near Interstate 90, so traffic noise and river noise may both be present during your stay. The home is exceptionally well insulated and traffic noise is usually not an issue for guests due to river proximity, but we want potential guests to be aware, especially if they are sensitive to these types of sounds.

HOT TUB - The hot-tub is NOT shared and is available for your exclusive use. No food is permitted in the hot tub and we kindly ask that you shower before using to prevent the build-up of lotions and body oils in the water and on the sides of the hot tub.

PETS - We don't host pets. We love dogs but have guests how are sensitive to hair and odors (allergies aside) so we've tried to maintain those conditions for them. Thank you for your understanding.

CHILDREN - This home was specifically furnished and equipped to host adults. While we do not prohibit children, please note that the property, amenities, and the proximity to the river make this property an unlikely choice for families traveling with children.

ROAD CONDITIONS - You will NOT need an all-wheel drive vehicle to reach this property (unless the entire region is hit by a rare snow storm). The roads are paved all the way to the driveway.

EARLY CHECK-INS / LATE CHECKOUTS - Early check-ins and late checkouts are unavailable. We apologize but our cleaning staff cannot predictably accommodate extended stays. If you must arrive earlier or stay later than the prescribed check-in/out times, consider booking an additional day if available. Thank you for your understanding.

FISHING - You can fish the river but need a license (see Wa State Dept of Fish & Wildlife website for more information)

KAYAKING - You cannot kayak the river due to the adjacent waterfall but local options for these activities are included in the house-manual which you'll receive upon booking.

FIRE PIT - The fire-pit is available for your use but wood is not provided (though sometimes it is left by a prior guest so feel free to use, if that's the case). A lighter is usually provided and is stored in the kitchen drawer but these are often stolen and the absence is sometimes overlooked by the cleaning staff. Please check the King County Washington website to determine if a burn ban is in effect. Additionally, a gas fire-pit is available for your use (propane provided). See the house manual for instructions on use.

CLEANING PRODUCTS - We sparingly use scented laundry soap, but do not use fabric softeners, home air-fresheners, or pesticides around the property.

POWER OUTAGES - Power outages can occur during the winter months. Though rare, it does happen when trees fall (which are in great quantity in this area). If this happens during your stay, you can wait for the power to be restored (usually within a few hours) or message your host and checkout. The unused portion of your stay can be refunded by contacting Airbnb.
