Commons Area Lounge is centrally located between all 5 of our cabins and has WIFI, AC Power, Full Kitchen, dry food storage, dining/lounging spaces, local info, extra blankets/games/books. BBQ is around the corner and is also shared among all the guests.

The bathroom requires a short, slightly steep 1-minute walk to an enclosed outdoor bathroom.

Solar shower facility is available and depends largely on the weather conditions. It is outdoors, which means that THE SHOWER HEATS UP FROM THE SUN. You must be flexible as the sunshine and the weather dictate your ability to take a hot shower (we understand that it's not for everyone, but it's one of the minor concessions that we endure while getting to live here.)

Being in the mountains, we share the space with beautiful wild animals such as deer, elk, and bear. Bugs, flies and the occasional mouse might drop by to say hello too. We do our absolute best to make sure you won't see them. However, If even the prospect of the sight or sound of the occasional bug or mouse puts a burr under your saddle, we kindly suggest that you book a chain hotel in the big city of Missoula.

Basically, this isn't your standard Holiday Inn chain hotel experience, in this space and on this property you'll be reminded of the simplicity of life, the stillness of nature and the pureness of your routine being dictated by the sun.

This cozy 2-bedroom cabin is located off the pristine Lewis and Clark Trail (US HWY 12 W). There is multiple access points for the Lolo National Forest for hikes and ATV fun! There are lakes and lookout towers, hot springs and trails closeby.

The 2013 Forest Fires impacted the mountains around it for a short distance. There are still beautiful mountain views. You are able to see the affects fires and the environmental impact. Much of Lolo Peak, Lolo Creek and close mountains were untouched by the fire, grazing elk, deer and moose. Outstanding ATV access, hunting, fishing, snow shoeing, snow mobiling, ,skiing, hiking, biking, soak or swim at nearby hot springs. The night stars are gorgeous from the hot tub during clear nights.

You may also enjoy Missoula's many coffee houses, breweries, distilleries and restaurants or seasonal activities that are yours within a short driving distance. You will enjoy a memorable stay in this charming cabin.

This area is outstanding for outdoor activities as well as activities in the city of Missoula or a drive down the Bitterroot. The cabin is quite nice with a nice living room area which includes satellite tv and wifi, 2 bedrooms with queen log beds, a nice kitchen and a quiet outdoor deck. A great place to come and relax and venture toward the plethora of sights to see, fish or hunt.

L Diamond E Guest Cabin #2. Deluxe 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin with a kitchenette. Located close to fishing, hiking and multiple attractions in the area. Situated on a working ranch with hay and animals. Easy to enjoy Big Sky country from this setting.

All linens and towels provided with exchange service for longer than 7 day stays. Yard is equipped with a swing set, monkey bars, and a horseshoe pit. Kitchenette is equipped with coffee maker, coffee and filters. All dishes, silverware, cooking utensils and pots provided.

Perched along Ninemile Creek on 20 wooded acres with majestic views, this completely renovated and cozy two bedroom, two bath water front cabin is the ultimate relaxing Montana vacation that is great for couples, small families or a friends get-a-way.
Take the spiral-staircase to the second floor master suite which boasts a comfortable cloud-like king size mattress, large walk-in closet, full size bathroom with dual vanity and a two-person shower. Private deck, lounge chairs and shade. Throw open the windows and let the babbling waters lull you to sleep.
The guest bedroom (located on the main floor) has a queen-size bed, pillow top mattress, down comforter and feather pillows. Guests will use the charming main floor bath featuring natural slate tile floors, shower/tub combo, pedestal sink and fluffy towels. Each of the cabin bathrooms has a hair dryer, hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
Hardwood flooring is laid throughout the main floor. The living area is tastefully decorated with rustic cabin décor where you can lounge on the comfortable leather sofa while relaxing in front of the wood burning fireplace. If you require digital entertainment, each bedroom and the living room are equipped with a TV and satellite receiver. DVD/Blu-ray in Living room. Bose speaker for iPod or other music player. WIFI is available, but cell phones don't generally work out here. Landline available for local and emergency calls, but calling card is needed for long distance.
The kitchen features granite countertops with center island, all new appliances including: refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, gas range/oven and hickory cabinets. This kitchen is fully loaded with pots, pans, plates and utensils; as well as, coffee maker, toaster, mixer, blender and electric griddle. The indoor dining room seats 6 comfortably.
Outside, there are 3 decks for dining, entertaining, soaking up sun and wildlife viewing. The oversized main deck offers a gas grill, a covered portion for outdoor dining (protected from snow and rain) with an additional seating area great for entertaining. The creek is accessible from the wooden staircase which leads to the sun deck complete with lounge chairs.
In 2018, we added a bunkhouse that can house up to 6 additional people, advertised pricing is only for the main cabin which sleeps 4. If you need accommodations for a larger party please let us know in your inquiry.
You will enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the cabin whether you are fishing, hiking, reading or just relaxing. Wildlife abounds in this area. You can see everything from deer and elk, to foxes and rock chucks and possibly bear and beavers. The waters of Ninemile Creek are home to fish, crawfish, ducks, geese, frogs and more.

- "As a U of M alumni, my college roommate and our spouses decided to meet up outside of Missoula to celebrate 40 years of friendship. The stay at the house was perfect for the 4 of us and our dogs. We spent 90% of our time on the wonderful deck. The dogs played in the creek and ran around on the lawn space. We have used VRBO a lot over the past years and this property was by far the best stocked. If you like to cook, there isn't anything you will be missing at this home! The AC units worked fantastically in the 90+ heat and sleeping in both bedrooms was terrific. They even have a separate deep freezer outside for ice and items that won't fit in the inside freezer. Really nice to have! Perfect location and perfect stay. Our host was very available with questions right up to arrival. We had no reason to contact her once we arrived as her instructions were very well done. One thing to note-the road starting about 2 miles from the house is narrow so if you aren't used to MT mountain roads, you should be aware. Definitely passable with a car but we were both happy we had trucks/SUVs. In the winter, I think 4 wheel drive would be a must. But that is what you would expect to get a place that is extremely peaceful and quiet up in the mountains."

Nestled in a quiet location on 8 acres just off the valley floor we are not far from "Where Montana Began". Spend your days exploring all that western Montana has to offer then return to the peacefulness on our property to get refreshed for your next day's adventure.

Within minutes is the world-class trout fishing Bitterroot River, where you can fly fish from the public fishing access, launch your floating device or take a swim in the summer. Nearby are several hiking trails as is the 50 mile long Bitterroot Bike Trail. The area is rich with Native American, pioneer and Lewis & Clark history. Many local museums and state parks will guide you on your quest to learn more. We are 10 minutes from the 2800 acre Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge. Recreational opportunities are plentiful including hiking, walking, fishing, swimming, hunting, horseback riding, photography, astronomy, birding, skateboarding, biking, and much more! Wildlife viewing is all around and in summer you might even be lucky enough to watch a fawn or two nibbling on the grass outside the front door. The skies at night are spectacular and the sunsets are out of this world!

Our little house is comfortable and stylishly decorated. We offer you two bedrooms each with queen sized beds. The bathroom is just right with a large seated shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for you to enjoy your own home cooking. Dine at the breakfast bar while viewing the sunrise blazing across mountains as you plan your travels for the day. In the evening you can watch the sunset happen right in front of you. You'll find everything you need to help make your stay relaxing and comfortable. The living space has a reclining love seat, two leather club chairs, a 32" TV with local channels and a DVD player. You can plug your laptop into the TV, too, to watch Netflix or Prime. This unique Montana little dream house has all the comforts you will need. It is a re-purposed mini house. The kitchen and bathroom counter tops are made of blued pine and trimmed with corrugated metal. The exterior is also trimmed with re-purposed corrugated metal and landscaped with railroad ties. This little gem with its outdoor shower and charm will enhance your summer getaway for great memories.

The unit reeks of a true Montana experience with the indoor smell of the knotty pine woods. The outdoor shower is one of a kind and highly recommended. (You wouldn't know that the toilet was a compost.) The kitchen area has a small refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee machine with counter and log stools. There is a grill for outdoor additional cooking and a fire pit that may be used unless the fire danger in the area is too high.

There is also a hot tub that is available for a short walk down the drive. It is also available to another rental on the property (The Whispering Moose) but most renters are out enjoying the area so there is always plenty of opportunity to have your own personal time in it. At night the stars are magnificent.

There is wifi and television available. No landline telephone is available so texting or face time through wifi are the way to communicate in this rental.

This rental will provide you with a unique relaxing time that you will be able to create memories to share with each other and your friends and remember for years.

The area is rather quiet other than an occasional lawn mower keeping the grasses short which protected this property from being destroyed during a fire 6 years ago. It is common to see deer, turkeys, birds of all kinds, elk, moose or bear.

This is close to Missoula with the opportunity to experience the mountains of Montana in an up close and personal way.

This one-bedroom cabin is cozy and peaceful…perfect for a couple looking to get some much-needed down time, or for anyone wanting to relax and enjoy mother nature. The bedroom includes a comfy queen-sized bed, a handsome leather couch, small coffee table, end tables, desk and chair, and a hearty dresser. Barn door separates the stone-tiled shower from the toilet. Complimentary eco-conscious toiletries are included.
The kitchen is its own “room” complete with stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, Caraway cookware/bakeware, quality cutlery, handcrafted u-shaped bar countertops and much more!
There are views from every window with a wrap-around deck to enjoy everything in sight. A new Weber grill and a picnic table invite you to cook and eat outside while listening to the variety of birds this area has to offer. We also have chairs and a fire pit under our locally built pergola so that you can relax under the stars at night.
Feel free to explore the immediate areas behind the cabin along the seasonal flowing creek, bird watch, or read a book. Throughout the spring and summer, you'll enjoy the variety of plant life surrounding the cabin. Speaking of plant life, the professionally landscaped area was designed specifically to included native plants, bee and butterfly friendly flowers, and aromatic lavender. Even though we are 4.5 miles from the main thoroughfare, it feels like you’re out in the country! Some of the wild animals that have crossed this property are deer, fox, coyotes, and turkeys. The occasional bear, mountain lion, elk and moose sightings have occurred.

There are many hiking and biking trails nearby or enjoy a day paddleboarding, floating or fishing the Bitterroot River! We are just 8 miles from Lolo, the gateway to the Bitterroot Valley, and about 45 minutes away from Lolo Hot Springs.

Please note the owners live in a permanent residence that is shared with the property the cabin sits on. This is a privately gated, semi fenced-in property consisting of 5 acres. Aside from an optional and quick walk-through or a question that needs to be answered, we’ll let you be! You’ll probably see us working on the property or catch a glimpse of our kids, dogs and cats running around (in addition to the neighbor’s kids and dogs!).

The A-Frame is a Rustic cabin with a full kitchen. Water is packed in from the well in 5 gallon blue containers. There is two double beds ( sheets and blankets ) a wood stove ( wood provided ). There is a wood fired SAUNA next to the cabin and an organic shower house and outhouse with heat and lights. The deck has a barbque and sits next to a small trout stream. Blue Ribbon fishing is only minutes away. There is also a large shower house very close by.

I do not get any information about the bookings on the weekends because our cabins are off the grid.

The rivers in Missoula can be enjoyed in a variety of ways! You will have a blast playing in these waters whether you enjoy river surfing, fly fishing, or tube floating. After an adrenaline-filled day, end the day by grabbing a couple of locally brewed beers at the famous KettleHouse Brewing Co. which is just 5 minutes away. Right beside is the KettleHouse Amphitheater which holds numerous concerts. This is the perfect combination!

Each bedroom has an in suite bath so nice privacy for each couple. There is no BBQ grill and we had to have hamburgers on the grill so we brought a small grill and used it. Also the cabin has no A/C but we brought a fan and slept sound and comfortably cool. The river is so soothing to sit and listen to and we opened the window at night and listened to the river. No need for our Alexa and “thunderstorm sounds” that we usually sleep with!!! Josh and Amy were very prompt and professional and they both were very helpful with questions about fishing licenses, etc. In all I would 150% recommend this cabin for a really relaxing spot for a family or friends like us that just enjoyed being together. Oh yea, our husbands found a golf course with 10 minutes and so “us girls” had a fabulous wine and cheese vacation by the river😂😂😂"

Rock Creek Trout Bums

Within the span of less than one short year, thirty acres on Rock Creek turned into a bustling gold rush town and then fizzled into nothing. During 1896, Quigley was a thriving metropolis with a population of 2,000 one day, and a ghost town the next. This amazing property is the last remnant of the goldrush town of Quigley, 1896-1897, and Quigley Cabin is the only remaining original structure from the town of Quigley.

It started out life as a Chinese Laundry; in fact, the door where the miners would enter is still visible from the inside of one of the bedrooms. At some point a couple bunkhouses and a smoke house from another ranch were moved onto the property, making a quaint ‘ghost town’. One of the bunkhouses has been modernized and is also available for rent. Additionally, in 2019 the owners of the Quigley property, purchased the adjoining property to the South (which has the 3 bedroom Brewster Creek Cabin) and is easily accessed by a footbridge over Brewster Creek – making this a perfect location for larger groups needing multiple cabins in close proximity to one another.

This unique property is gorgeous. Trout Unlimited restored the lower portion of Brewster Creek through the Quigley property in 2018, making excellent cutthroat trout habitat. Additionally, there is a small pond that is fed by Brewster Creek which offers fun opportunities for kids to see if they can outsmart the resident trout.

Quigley Cabin was modernized in 2016; fortunately in doing so, they were still able to preserve the personality of the structure. It has a beautifully equipped kitchen with a cooktop range, large refrigerator, dishwasher and granite countertops. New circle sawn flooring throughout the cabin retains the ‘old’ feel, while leveling out the very crooked 100+ year old floors.

Sleep to the sound of Brewster Creek flowing right outside the master bedroom window; Quigley Cabin has 2 bedrooms, one bath, a game room, laundry center, and a spacious living room.

The Space:
Each cabin features an open-concept layout with direct access to a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom, and private bedroom on the main floor. Please note: the loft railing has wide openings, so these cabins are not recommended for young children or toddlers. Guests should be comfortable using a spiral staircase.

Within the span of less than one short year, thirty acres on Rock Creek turned into a bustling gold rush town and then fizzled into nothing. During 1896, Quigley was a thriving metropolis with a population of 2,000 one day, and a ghost town the next. This amazing property is the last remnant of the goldrush town of Quigley, 1896-1897, and Quigley Cabin is the only remaining original structure from the town of Quigley. At some point a couple of bunkhouses and a smoke house from another ranch were moved onto the property, making a quaint ‘ghost town’.

One of the bunkhouses was modernized and is now available for rent. Additionally, in 2019 the owners of the Quigley property, purchased the adjoining property to the South (which has the 3 bedroom Brewster Creek Cabin) and is easily accessed by a footbridge over Brewster Creek – making this a perfect location for larger groups needing multiple cabins in close proximity to one another.

This unique property is gorgeous. Trout Unlimited restored the lower portion of Brewster Creek through the Quigley property in 2018, making excellent cutthroat trout habitat. Additionally, there is a small pond that is fed by Brewster Creek which offers fun opportunities for kids to see if they can outsmart the resident trout.

Quigley Bunkhouse was modernized in 2016; fortunately in doing so, they were still able to preserve the personality of the structure. It has a cute, very basic, kitchenette with a hotplate, microwave and small refrigerator (no freezer).

Quigley Bunkhouse is studio style with one bath; it’s got a nice deck and patio area with plenty of outdoor seating. It’s a great choice for those looking for a comfortable place to sleep with basic amenities….and a million dollar view!

Commons Area Lounge is centrally located between all 5 of our cabins and has WIFI, AC Power, Full Kitchen, dry food storage, dining/lounging spaces, local info, extra blankets/games/books. BBQ is around the corner and is also shared among all the guests.

The bathroom requires a short 1-minute walk to an enclosed outdoor bathroom.

Solar shower facility is available and depends largely on the weather conditions. It is outdoors, which means that THE SHOWER HEATS UP FROM THE SUN. You must be flexible as the sunshine and the weather dictate your ability to take a hot shower (we understand that it's not for everyone, but it's one of the minor concessions that we endure while getting to live here.)

Being in the mountains, we share the space with beautiful wild animals such as deer, elk, and bear. Bugs, flies and the occasional mouse might drop by to say hello too. We do our absolute best to make sure you won't see them. However, If even the prospect of the sight or sound of the occasional bug or mouse puts a burr under your saddle, we kindly suggest that you book a chain hotel in the big city of Missoula.

Basically, this isn't your standard Holiday Inn chain hotel experience, in this space and on this property you'll be reminded of the simplicity of life, the stillness of nature and the pureness of your routine being dictated by the sun.

The space
Staying in the guest log cabin is a wonderful experience. It offers peace and quiet in the midst of a busy, crazy world. There is a whole wall of books on a wide range of subjects. If you need a bit of peace in your life, this is the stay for you! The back porch has a picnic table and a charcoal grill, and now a privacy fence as well. There are 3 beds... a sleep number queen, a twin, and a pull out full. Everything you need is provided.... washer/dryer, firewood, microwave, pots and pans, fridge, toaster over... just bring yourself and some food to cook!
The cabin is ecologically friendly, complete with composting, recycling, scrap bucket for the chickens, and composting toilet. We also have most of the modern amenities, including hot water, fast internet, and modern design.
We are a homestead farm complete with perma-culture gardens, goats, chickens, sheep, dogs and cats. We make handmade soap, milk the goats, and putter around our garden most days. We enjoy giving tours and talking gardening and homesteading.

Guest access
You will have access to the main floor of the guest cabin (upstairs is storage), as well as the back porch that has a picnic table and a charcoal grill. The entire space is beautifully appointed. You are also welcome to explore the property, use the fire pit (please let us know in advance, not available if fire danger is high), pet the goats, and take walks up into the national forest.

Other things to note
The living room has a curtain across it with the sewing room on the other side. The toilet is a composting toilet. The queen bed is a super comfy sleep number bed, so it is adjustable to your firmness preference. We also have a bin for composting kitchen scraps, and we recycle, so be sure to separate out your plastics. You are welcome to bring your dog, just keep them on a leash outside during your stay due to our free range chickens. Internet works great for work stays.
We are up in the mountains, and there is no cell phone coverage here. There is a landline phone in the guest quarters. The line is shared with our house but you are welcome to use it for calls within the USA. If you visit in the winter, we keep the wood stove going for you while you out, as that is the main heat source for the cabin, and coming home to a cozy cabin is super important! The floors are not heated, so please do bring your slippers in the winter or your feet will be cold. Also, as with many cabins in the north, you will be more cozy in a sweatshirt or fleece. Also, the kitchen is well stocked with what you need for cooking, the oven is a toaster oven (does all the functions of a regular size oven, only smaller), and we have several plug in burners and pots and pans for them. We recently added a microwave as well, and have a crock pot, electric skillet, griddle, and much more!

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare your own meals. The stove is electric and the oven is 24" wide. There is a microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and full sized refrigerator. The shower has a seat in it.

You'll have a private patio for outside relaxation and a small front and side yard. We don't mind if you want to take a stroll around the entire property, but please allow us privacy as well. Experience the beauty of nature in our one-room glamping cabin, nestled in a 10-acre open field near the base of the Mission Mountain Range. Our property has 2 large red barns and small fenced off garden/orchard which has the fist combine of the valley as told to us by the local ranchers.

This fun cottage is located on the east side of the Bitterroot Valley, bordered on three sides by state land, so there is room to hike. A 10 minute drive brings you to the Bitterroot River, known for its excellent fly fishing. Across the valley are numerous trail heads that lead into the Bitterroot Mountains.
By renting with us, guests agree to the terms of the contract. 2 night minimum stay.
No animals allowed due to pet dander that is difficult to remove, and severe allergies to it.

This Log Cabin is nestled near Lolo Creek and on a large, wooded property. Private driveway with bridge across creek. There are 350 miles of groomed trails right outside your door! Bring your snowmobiles! Lots of hiking and fishing right beside your cabin. This Cabin is located 2 Miles from Lolo Hot Springs. There is a Restaurant, Casino, Bar with Indoor/Outdoor Hot Spring Pools less than 2 miles away.

In renovating this small historic forest service cabin, we wanted to make every bit of it special and full of character. Indoor and outdoor spaces are made to feel peaceful and fresh. The outdoor area is beautiful and quiet with deer consistently in view. Enjoy your space with a propane firepit and grill (as the law allows according to the season) while you chat on the phone with friends about your day or read your favorite novel. Take walks while listening to a book, music, or the birds. Basically, this cabin feels like a getaway from all the chaos of the world, and you won't want to leave. At least I feel that way 😉

This property is located only 3 miles off interstate 90. 30 minutes east of Missoula and 10 minutes west of Alberton.
Check in is made easy. Guests have access to the surrounding forest and fields in the area within view of the cabin. If desired to hike or bike beyond the designated area, make a request to the property manager to allow access as it is a private property.

Other things to note
This property was purchased in a very rough state, and we have worked hard to clean it up to make it what it is now. As there are still things to clean up, we hope it is sufficient as it is a constant work in progress. Yes, we do have an ever growing tire wall and a scrap metal pile bigger than you have ever seen, but they are not near the cabin, only on your way to. There are cars here and there we will be relocating soon, hopefully before you arrive.

Outside, there is a large fences garden/pet area that is available for guest use. There is also one garage space available to guests for gear or vehicle storage. Explore the property on foot or enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while looking upon St. Mary's Peak on the expansive outdoor deck area.

Delightfully appointed, this cozy retreat is situated among tranquil running streams and majestic mountains on 80+ acres of private property filled with expressions of nature’s magnificence. Whether you’re seeking a launching pad for outdoor adventures or a peaceful place to disconnect and unwind, this cabin offers the idyllic Montana getaway.

The space
Our property is located in a wonderfully secluded, narrow mountain valley setting at nearly 4,000 feet elevation, bordering thousands of acres of public land.

A tranquil running stream and its soothing waterfall welcomes you as you cross the cattle guard onto our homestead.

The cabin is situated atop our detached garage, its backside facing the road. As you make your way to the cabin's front entrance, you'll catch a view of our backyard's grand gazebo, completely yours to use during your stay. Under its roof you'll find a grill, Solo Stove fire pit, and a sturdy outdoor dining set that comfortably seats six. Beyond the gazebo runs another natural spring giving way to its path up the mountain and for you, the opportunity to hike it.

Ascending the top stair to the cabin porch you'll want to pause and take in the spectacular view and peaceful sounds of rushing water cascading over the abundant natural rocks that line the stream.

Just inside the cabin door is the kitchen. Thoughtfully provisioned, it contains nearly all you'll need to store food and make meals. Enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. And for your indulgence, we've stocked Nestle Coffee Mate creamer singles in a variety of flavors. The rustic, handmade kitchen table and chairs seats four.

You'll have direct access from the kitchen into both bedrooms and the bathroom. There is no traditional living room. Each bedroom's cozy interior includes a television, extra pillows and blankets, and ample closet and dresser drawer space. The bathroom has a tub/shower model, and the toilet is on a septic system. Enjoy complimentary body soap, shampoo and conditioner you'll find affixed to the bath wall.

The cabin has its own hot water source and filtration system. Starlink internet ensures your ability for continuous communication, streaming, and remote work if that is on your agenda.

Guests have sole and private use of the cabin throughout their stay. The backyard and gazebo are theirs to enjoy without interference. The property beyond the fence (in the backyard) and all non-fenced areas in the front of the house/cabin is available for guests to meander around and enjoy. We restrict guests from entering/using the house, garage, and workshop. Access to the woodshed for additional firewood requires pre-approval.

The Cottonwood Cabin is located in the Nine Mile Valley, about 20 miles from Missoula. The home overlooks a cottonwood forest with a trail that meanders down to Nine Mile Creek (Approx. 250 yards). This unique space is clean and comfortable.

The space
We provide a space that is clean and comfortable with Montana flare. You will find an open floor plan that includes a living room with a flat screen TV and reclining leather furniture, an informal dining space containing a dining nook as well as a fully functional kitchen. There is a view of the surrounding forest out every window in the house. We provide Wi-Fi, streaming, and cell service (which can be hard to come by in this neck of the woods.) There is one bedroom upstairs and one on the main floor. Each room has a comfortable queen bed with plenty of fresh linens. The updated bathroom is also on the main floor. A large fire pit, with chopped wood provided, overlooks the cottonwood forest below.

This location serves as a perfect home-base for winter and summer recreation. We are surrounded by ski hills, cross country trails, Lolo National Forest and rivers. Fishing, floating, hunting, hiking, skiing and all things Montana are found in every direction from the cabin.

The basement door will be locked, but you have access to the rest of the house.

There is also a very small porch off the second floor bedroom. For safety purposes please do not step onto it. Don't worry we have it clearly marked!

Other things to note
There is an additional rental house on the property with wonderful neighbors. Please be respectful of their privacy as they will be of yours.
This is a forested area with all the delights and wildness of the woods. Therefore, be cautious of bears, beasts, and bugs. Bear spray and bug spray is provided.
There is a water softener system to treat the iron in the water. The water occasionally has a mineral smell or taste. Running the water briefly alleviates this.
Parking: Please only park on the drive in front or behind the house.
Cell service and WiFi tend to fluctuate due to the home's location in the mountains.

Horse Creek Ranch has 200 private acres for you to enjoy along with access to unlimited miles of retired logging roads in the Lolo National Forest which is contiguous to the Ranch. Hiking, biking, cross country skiing are just a few of the adventures waiting right out the Bunkhouse doors. We have mapped the trails on the Ranch and have 2-way radios for you to carry if you would like. Ask about bringing your horse! Horses are welcome as we have miles of trails to ride. We offer trail rides for $150 per person for 1 1/2-2 hours. We also would love to take you on a tour of the Ranch on our side by side or visit about Ranching and Mountain life.
You are free to enjoy the entire property. Enjoy the firepit (please let us know in advance - we would love to get the fire set for you), pet the horses and feel free to explore the property.

Other things to note
We have an on site chef for breakfast, brunch, dinners, snacks and beautiful charcuterie boards. Sarah specializes in local, fresh, all natural cooking. Her homemade sourdough bread is a creation of mouth watering delight.

Ask about a side by side tour guided by Ernie. We have miles of trails throughout the Ranch. Ernie can show you all the best views and give you the history of our area.

We offer trail rides with our horses for $150 per person for 1 1/2-2 hour ride.

A fishermen's dream, this property is situated right on the Blackfoot River and offers immediate access to the Blackfoot, National Forest lands, and various fishing and picnic spots along this beautiful stretch of the river. Fish out of your front door or take a relaxing float down to the Kettlehouse.

Lying at the border of a wild corridor, yet only 15 minutes from Missoula or the airport our cabin was skillfully crafted from giant hand-hued logs to create a sweet, delightful space.
You'll find it clean and cozy, with excellent wifi, bright and airy. A lovely place for romantic escapes, sweet reunions with old friends and family and to work remotely.

The space
New update: Due to increased bear activity I will not set up a barbecue grill. The scent is just too resistible for them. I will provide an electric grill that will be stored in the lower right kitchen cabinet.

This is a simple, happy, comfortable home...not another cookie-cutter stripped down hotel room. Its fun, but simple decor reflects the natural beauty and serenity of all that surrounds you. You'll feel far away from the hurried world, yet only 5 miles to the freeway, 10 miles to grocery stores, Farmers Market, Costco, museums, restaurants and breweries.

The cabin sits on a one acre meadow and although there are other homes around the property you will rarely see or hear a sound from people. We love our privacy and peace!

Grantcreek is a playground for brown and black bear families, turkeys, raccoons, and deer. It really belongs to them and you’ll sense that, as you drive up and turn your back to the city. Grant creek is a beautiful drainage which follows a year round bubbling creek and open fields with elk grazing next to cattle in season.

The quiet peaceful valley is the wrapping on the package and the cabin surrounded by mountains with sweet views is our gift. When you open the door, you'll find a spacious, yet cozy, living room, high cathedral ceilings and a lively gas fireplace. You can choose the comfortable couch/ hide-a bed with a 2" natural latex topper, or two high back arm chairs to curl up in after a long day of exploring!

On cool evenings, the fire light flickers and dances throughout the house and you may want to wear sleep masks, because the moon floods the cabin with light.

We provide linens and towels, WIFI, Smart TV. (No local TV.) You can use your phone to call out with Verizon. Most folks are happy to text or FaceTime their family. Starlink provides fast and effective internet to work from the cabin at will.

We have a washer/dryer, with detergent, and an iron & board.

Create simple snacks or fabulous feasts in the well-equipped, thoughtfully stocked full kitchen and electric grill.

We ask that you let us know when you have placed smelly garbage in the bear proof can because the bears will sometimes roll it all over the yard.

The cabinets are stocked with spices and oils and just about everything you might need to cook a meal. We stock coffee and tea, quality pots and pans, knives and utensils, a blender, hand mixer, and even a crockpot!

The open floor plan allows you to chat and socialize while you cook, and a large table encourages great conversations.

There is one full bath downstairs with a walk in shower downstairs, and a half- bath in the loft.

The open loft master bedroom features a queen sized bed (Saatva mattress), with an all season down comforter. (Alternative down upon request). Even in the middle of August, our nights are cool.
The queen hide-a bed has a 2" natural latex topper. It is lovely for a hide a bed but please know it will never have the support of a bed frame. We can provide you with a pack and play as well upon request.

The 12 inch logs act as great natural insulators from the warm days so if you close the windows and pull the shades before 10am it rarely gets too warm inside. The ceiling fan moves the warm air down summer and winter, and we can provide other fans if you feel the need.

A freestanding closet, drawers at the base of your bed and bedside tables provide storage.

We do welcome children who are old enough to not fall between the railing, so please contact us if you believe they are.

I have a nasty allergy to dog and cat dander so I can not accommodate pets. Thank you for your understanding.

We have a small table with chairs and a picnic table for your dining pleasure, as well as an outdoor freestanding fire pit. Please let me know if you want the fire pit and we will consider the fire risks and if at all possible set that up for you.

We provide all the essential amenities. God has provided everything else, like the sweet natural well water, and fresh mountain air! Thank you for considering us!

The entire home, large yard and covered parking spaces and great outdoors are yours to enjoy! There is covered parking for 4 cars.

Other things to note
This end of the road is a bit of a secret even to Missoulians, and strangers don't tend to pass through. Therefore, it's a great place to relax and unwind, and just enjoy the peace. Walk, ride bikes, snowshoe or cross country ski down the private road. We are a town of breweries and restaurants, many within a 10 mile radius. There are maps and brochures available in the cabin.
Missoula is Montana's cultural hub. Home to the University of Montana, it is a prime launching pad for outdoor recreation and sits in a lush valley at the confluence of three nearby rivers. Our location makes it easy to take day trips to Hamilton, Butte, Phillipsburg or Flathead Lake. Multiple hiking, biking, and skiing trails are in close proximity; such as the Ravine, Grant creek trails, and of course the Snow bowl Summer/Ski Resort trails.
For those coming to cheer on the Griz or visit the University of Montana, we are 10 miles from campus.

If you like to golf, Canyon River Golf Course (voted one the best new courses in the US by Golf Digest, 2007) is only 13 miles away.

Fishing the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers picks up in April. June is when the rivers have their famous salon fly hatches. July thru October bring some of the season's best fishing.
In the Fall, we have hunting and all the beautiful colors.

Winter activities are endless too!... Snow Bowl Ski Lodge is 15 minutes away. There are cross country ski trails, Glacier Ice Rink, sledding, or snow shoe hiking in the beautiful winter wonderland all over!

For kids, The Carousel for Missoula, surfers on Brandon's Wave, Caras Park Pavilion, Out to Lunch, Missoula Childrens Theatre.

Farmers Market in the summer, coffee shops, art galleries, museum, grocery stores and eclectic downtown shopping, breweries and dining are 15 minutes away.

Built in 2022...this cabin with its big yard and the mountain behind it will often be filled with Bighorn sheep and their babies because this property butts up to the area where the ewes have their babies every spring. The timber framed porch with comfortable wrap around sofa and dining set, weber grill and butcher block food prep area are the perfect complement to the indoor living space.

The small kitchen has a glass top range, refrigerator, and microwave…and a retro-look. The custom made kitchen may be small, but it’s nicely equipped with just about everything you could need. With beautiful open shelving above, and blue pine cabinets below it’s a stunning space.

The living room, just off the kitchen area, has 2 chairs with a shared ottoman, a comfortable rocker - and a beautiful window seat that looks out to the aspen grove and mountains. In the shared kitchen/living room space is a beautiful entertainment center with flat screen TV and streaming TV.

Notice the reclaimed timbers and barn board accents…all lovingly crafted into new life. The bathroom is a piece of art with a vanity made from salvaged barn-wood that we found locally. The vanity sink is of hammered copper, and the beam that goes through the middle of the ceiling looks solid, made to look that way by Joe’s gifted hands. All this complements the blue pine walls, and the beautiful view just outside the window that looks at the mountain.

The 2 bedrooms are comfortably appointed with beautiful quilts and bedding, on nice firm mattresses - and a ceiling fan in each, just above the bed for those summer nights when you want to move the cool mountain air coming in through the open windows.

This unique property is gorgeous and the Quigley Brewster Creek Cabin is one of 3 cabins available to rent on the site of Quigley Ghost Town. Trout Unlimited restored the lower portion of Brewster Creek through the Quigley property in 2018, making excellent cutthroat trout habitat. Additionally, there is a small pond that is fed by Brewster Creek which offers fun opportunities for kids to see if they can outsmart the resident trout.

Brewster Creek Cabin was refurbished in 2019 after siting frozen in time for over 30 years – the former owners locked the door and seemingly never returned. Everything was amazingly intact in spite of sitting for so long, allowing the main focus instead of repair, to be update – and the owners did a wonderful job. They added on a bath to the master bedroom, updated the kitchen, enlarged the original bath, added on a covered patio and porch to the front, installed a gas insert into the fireplace and beautifully furnished and decorated the 1960’s Lindal cedar home throughout.

The views are AMAZING! No matter which direction you look you’ll be struck by the fabulous setting the Quigley Brewster Creek Cabin is built on – in addition to it’s close proximity to the stream. This 3 bedroom + bonus room, 2 bath home is sure to impress.

This newly remodeled modern but rustic cabin sits minutes from downtown Missoula and a short walk from Greenough Park, a lovely nature sanctuary with walking paths, bridges, and Rattlesnake creek. Originally built in 1940, this property was recently renovated and modernized with the help of Missoula master builder Kevin Depuy of Depuy Construction. While the exterior logs of the cabin remain from the original house for historical preservation, the entirety of the rest of the property is brand new. Reclaimed wood from the Missoula Mercantile building was used throughout the cabin to give it a warm and rustic atmosphere. Brand new kitchen appliances and finishes, bathrooms, and bedrooms, along with a brand new loft and copper accents give the the cabin a modern environment for maximum comfort and functionality. This is one of two mirror-image secluded cabins in the woods offering beautiful scenic views and miles of mountains to explore. We call them Sunrise and Sunset because of the spectacular views you'll experience from these two locations. Your journey begins 3.5 miles off the pavement on 160 acres of private land, up a one-lane mountain road. This old logging road is Part of the Adventure- rugged and scenic—perfect for adventure lovers! A 4-wheel drive or high-clearance vehicle is highly recommended.
The cabins feature an open floor plan with access to the kitchen, bathroom, and private bedroom from the main floor. The spiral staircase leads to a loft with a queen bed and futon couch that unfolds into a bed. The staircase railing has wide openings, so we don't recommend these cabins for young children. Please ensure your children can easily climb stairs and won't have an issue with the wide openings in the staircase.

Our location is perfect for fishing, as it is close to 4 blue-ribbon trout streams. We offer secluded private access to mountain trails for biking, hiking, and 4-wheeling. There are several golf courses nearby. The KettleHouse Amphitheater is a highly ranked outdoor live music venue on the banks of the Blackfoot River just outside of Missoula. Garnet Ghost Town is another favorite historical site for our guests. Since Clinton Market is the closest grocery store (13 miles), we offer pantry stocking services if you would like your groceries waiting for your arrival! (Please inquire about these additional services after booking.) One night under the starlit big sky, and you'll be hooked on a lifetime of adventure!!

This historic ranch located on 33 private acres is located within walking distance to Travelers Rest State Park and only a ten minute drive to Missoula.

The section of the creek that runs through the ranch has great wade fishing for cutthroat, brook, rainbow, and brown trout.

You will be amazed at the abundant wildlife, including deer, turkey, elk, hummingbirds, osprey, and eagles!

The space
This home is on 8 acres up Grant Creek only 4 +/-miles north of Missoula. We have Grant Creek frontage with a bridge for crossing. We have horse shoes (in season) and within fire regulations a backyard fire pit for roasting s’mores! There is a popular ski hill (Snow Bowl) with zip line and in season huckleberry picking up Grant Creek as well as a couple popular biking/hiking trails (Ravine Trail, Bluebird Preserve) The home itself has a Montana outdoorsy feel to it! You will be in your Montana paradise up here and yet just 5 minutes to restaurants, coffee, breweries, movies and plenty of shopping!! Come check us out! You won’t want to leave!

We will be staying at our place in nearby Stevensville when this place is rented.You can use all of our property just ask host for clarification of boundaries.
