This log cabin was custom built for my family and for generations to come. You will enjoy this home as the perfect vacation hideaway nestled in the mountains with a view of Lolo Creek and Lolo Peak while still being close to modern day accoutrements.

The space
This log home sits on 48 acres of land that is mostly mountain terrain, trees, and a few horses. The log home is adjacent and close to the main house where I and my husband live, but completely separate. The property is just off of Highway 12 so you can easily access nearby towns, bars, and local attractions. Lots of hiking trails to explore nearby. There's a hiking trail at the back of the property and you're welcome to explore.
There is a glass propane stove which keeps the space very comfortable during the cold season. There's also a portable electric heater upstairs.

Guest access
The entire log home is available to you. It's well furnished with a queen size bed, a futon, and a couch. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, etc. and has a big refrigerator.

Other things to note
In order to access the home, you will need to exit off Highway 12, - 8 miles from town of Lolo. The house number is on the mailbox ( right hand side). Open the gate (by hand) wrap around chain - no lock. Then drive through the gate. Please close the gate (to keep the horses from escaping!) and drive up a very short trail past the horse shed. Park in front of the cabin.

Pet friendly guesthouse. Just a short walk to the park or the bus stop, and a 5 minute drive to the heart of downtown Missoula. Views of elk on Mt. Jumbo in cold season, and close to Sha Ron fishing hole/access point on Clark Fork for river season (less than a mile).

Comfortable apartment located on a country property near the Clark Fork River. Just off Interstate 90 20 minutes west of Missoula with easy access to the airport and the University of Montana.

It is right next to a cute seasonal creek with a canopy and table and chairs and we also have lovely hiking trails. Dogs are allowed, cats are not allowed.
Please note that we are along a busy road and that there is road noise and train tracks close by but we are also very close to amenities.

We are located adjacent to a forest. We have a horse pasture, very large lawn, and a play set if your kiddos would like to play.
It is possible to spot bears and mountain lions so be prepared.

This is a studio style home that is nestled between our private home and shop. It has an open living space. A barn door closes off the sleeping and dining area. A full and single mattress bunk bed is available with plenty of space for other sleeping arrangements. We also provide a queen sized mattress (on a frame so it’s off the floor).

We are only 2-3 minutes from Lolo Brewery, Lolo Steakhouse & Distillery, and other convenience stores.

This apartment is only accessible by stairs. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, a full size futon in the living room, and an additional single sized roll-away bed. There is a small desk and a kitchen table. There is a full sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot, and dishwasher. The bathroom has a stand-up shower (no tub).

Access to the apartment is a road through a field off of Hwy 93 South, between Lolo and Missoula. You just drive up the road, past the house in the middle of the field, and follow the road up and it will dead end into our house. Park in front of the garage on the far left hand side. The stairs to the apartment are right there. There is NO smoking on any part of the property or apartment. The door should be unlocked, but if it is not, just grab the key out of the lock box (code 1999)

This is a cozy property reminiscent of a small cabin in the woods, and the cedar paneling and warm atmosphere reflect that. Heat is provided by an electronic, automated gas stove, conveniently keeping the cabin toasty warm while imparting the ambiance of an old-fashioned wood stove. Air conditioning is also provided in the summer.

Guests can enjoy all the amenities of the university due to its location just down the street while also taking advantage of the dining, drinks, and attractions of the University District and Missoula. Just feet away is Liquid Planet Grille featuring locally-sourced breakfasts and lunches, an espresso bar, and a selection of beer, wine, and prepared meals for takeout.

The M trail is on the other side of campus and offers the quintessential local hike. Nights with nice weather bring Missoulians in droves to watch the sunsets. The space

This basement apartment is part of a 120 year old house, has a separate entrance and is part of the historic Beck House in the University District. The stone walls make for unique decor.
Just off the Hip Strip and minutes from Griz Stadium, the University, downtown, and river access. This two bedroom space is a wonderful hub for college visits, concerts, football games or river access.

The space
There is free street parking, but no reserved spots. During the school year, students park on Gerald from about 7:45-3:45.

This two bedroom basement apartment has a separate entrance from the 120 year old main house. Unique stone walls and sunken living room provide a comfy place to relax after enjoying the lovely area.


The sunken living room has two couches and a T.V. with streaming apps loaded. One of the couches can fold down into a bed suitable for a child, teen, or small adult.


There is an eat in kitchen with microwave, stove, and small refrigerator. Essential spices, utensils, oils and coffee and tea are included for your cooking needs.


The bathroom has a stand-up shower, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer.


Each bedroom has a full size bed with ample pillows, a chest of drawers, and ample areas for charging devices. In the winter, plenty of cozy blankets will be added to the beds. One bedroom includes a table for use as a desk or vanity.


You are free to use the bikes in the extra room.You accept liability when you choose to use them. Tire pump, helmets, and a lock are available for use as well.

The entire porch of the Sapphire Trout is yours to enjoy. The upstairs is a small low-ceiling loft with a full size bed. We recommend this stay for couples and small families. The 25 acre property is shared with the host family’s cabin which is a hundred feet away.

Enjoy relaxing or barbecuing on the porch, walk around the property, walk down the driveway, utilize horse corrals and paddocks, hike or hunt on over 2,000 acres of public land. Recently we added a full size beach volleyball court.

The space
You'll find the unit bright, clean and tastefully decorated. While we've done our best to make this a relaxing environment, please be mindful that space is limited. In the welcome manual, upon arrival, you will find some helpful tips to best utilize the space.

The 3rd Bedroom is a large open loft space with tall ceilings where you'll find 2 twin beds with 2 pull out trundle beds underneath them for a total of 4 single mattresses along with a sofa. There is an external staircase that accesses this space and also an internal ships ladder. Please note the space is not ideal for smaller children due to the steepness and exposure of the ladder.

Please also note that though the guesthouse can sleep 6 that the kitchen table only has seating for 4 and the living room is most comfortable for 4-5 individuals and there is only 1 bathroom. Please be sure that your reservation matches your number of guests. We keep our prices & cleaning fee low for occupancy of under 4. Groups of more than 4, will pay an additional per person/per night fee. Non-registered guests are not permitted in the unit without prior approval from the host.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This is a pet-free, non-smoking home due to the owner's allergies & health. No smoking or pets on premises. A violation of this policy will result in a minimum $250 assessed cleaning fee. If you are a smoker, it would be best to find another property.

Due to the white linens and quiet neighborhood, we are not interested in hosting traveling construction crews or motorcycle groups. No oversized vehicles permitted at property.

Downtown and the University of Montana are just a short distance away. You can drive or bike a short distance to a variety of nearby mountain biking and hiking trails. In the winter, groomed cross country ski trails for classic or skate skiing can be found in Pattee Canyon about a 10 minute drive away. You can also find snowshoeing trails up there, a picnic area, and a frisbee golf course. Snowbowl Ski Resort is about 30 minutes away. For winter guests, we have snowshoes available for rental and can provide suggestions for a variety of local and easy day trip destinations. Message us for details.
