- "The Gallatin River Lodge is a hidden gym. Our stay here was for just one night to get closer to the airport. Just 12 minutes away it's worth the xtra few minutes out of town to stay here. Beautiful clean, comfortable rooms. Breathtaking property and outside patio seating. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Max at the front desk and Jess seemingly doing "all the things" to make sure things ran smoothly and making people feel welcome were above and beyond with customer service. Our server LW was wonderful and Dinner right here at the Lodge was delicious! No reason to go into town. We drank champagne on the outside patio (with a random 50 degree day in December) while watching the sunset when several deer came out from the woods and were feeding right in front of us. Just a spectacular spot. If ever here in the Bozeman area again this will be our first choice of where to stay! Highly Recommend!"

Guest Reviews:

- "This property was amazing. From the welcome gifts, to the well stocked kitchen with any item you could ever need, we felt truly at home from the moment we stepped inside. We were 45 minutes from the Bozeman airport and 40 minutes from yellowstone. The perfect location to use as a base away from the crowds of tourists. Gorgeous sunsets each night with a welcomed breeze during the heat wave the week we were there. We enjoyed the wildlife (horses, deer, and the bunnies everyone mentioned in their own reviews), the big sky, and the stars at night. To bounce off of the reviews i read before booking, there were comments about a squeeky master bed -- we did NOT find this to be the case at all. All of the beds were extremely comfortable as were the pillows. Plenty of extra bedding and towels were provided. We also made use of the washer and dryer and very much appreciated the detergent provided! Thank you for a wonderful stay, if we make it out that way again we will definitely try to book here again!"

- "Had a great time. Only issues we had were there were a few mice that got into some of our food. There was also something bigger scratching/crawling around inside the walls upstairs. Overall we had a great time." - "My extended family traveled from all over the U.S. to gather in Bozeman to remember my father (who grew up nearby) and reconnect with one another. My part of the group consisted of my spouse and I, one adult daughter, one teen, and a 10 year old. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bear Creek Log Cabin. A couple of cousins dropped by, and my kids and the cousins especially enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and grilling, and visiting the creek. The area is quiet and relatively secluded, and definitely has the mountain "vibe" while also being super-convenient to Bozeman. Despite the bear theme, we didn't see any bear, but we did see a fox, a wild turkey hen, numerous deer, birds and other wildlife. Communication with the hosts was excellent, the place was clean and well taken care of, and although we noticed the slightly slanted foundation that was referenced in the description, it was no problem for us at all, and all around we just had an amazing time. Would most definitely stay here again."

Crabapple Cabin-Secluded Cabin on the Banks of the Yellowstone River
Cabin
Pray, Montana, USA

Montana doesn't get any more real than this. We invite you to our secluded historic cabin 30 feet away from the Yellowstone River in the heart of Paradise Valley. Come and stay awhile, watch the river go by and listen to the sounds of the Yellowstone River's great birds moving over the river from the cabin deck. If you're quiet, you can hear the wind from their wings in flight just feet away from you.

You may want to play a little game of horseshoes before grilling up a good dinner on the barbecue grill. Toss in your fishing line from the property's banks or launch a raft and sail away. Or you could just soak up the sights and sounds until your appetite gets you moving to dine at Chico or the many other nearby dining choices.

The manicured mature trees and shrubs on the property provide an idyllic park-like setting. There is a fire pit and benches for a relaxing evening fire, long conversations and marshmallow roasting. Count on having an all-wheel drive vehicle for the driveway. It's a steep one!

Guests must have an all-wheel drive vehicle. The driveway down to the cabin is very steep. Front wheel drive vehicles do not have enough power to make it up the driveway. Owners can assist guests with non all-wheel drive with options to access the cabin upon request. Do not attempt to drive down the driveway pulling an RV, or trailer unless approved by owner first.

- "We had a wonderful weeklong stay at this cabin. It was our first time to Montana, and wanted to be right on the river, and were not disappointed. The location was perfect, halfway between Livingston and Yellowstone Park. And not far from Bozeman. The property is very private. The cabin is authentic, small, yet comfortable. (We were 2 adults and a dog.) The kitchen is a good size with everything you need, including a fairly large fridge. The bathroom is nice, although the shower is very small. And the outside deck is awesome. You can watch, and hear the river, from the deck, which is very soothing. Or sit right at the riverbank and enjoy it up close. We'd see bald eagles, and deer came through the property in the early morning and late evening. A couple of things to be aware of ... if you're coming in the summer, bring insect repellent ... and you'll need 4 Wheel Drive or a capable AWD vehicle to get down to the cabin. The gravel road is very steep. All in all, it's a great property, and one that we will want to come back to."

The rental is on the second floor of a decorative barn, which never housed animals. It is located on Old Yellowstone Trail North, which was originally cited as a buffalo trail, then Trail Creek Road, and then under the current name because it served as the stagecoach trail to Yellowstone National Park after the park opened and before a railroad spur was built to the park.

The cabin's theme is wildlife: moose, deer, bighorn sheep and bison adorn the walls and linens. Most guests enjoy the cozy feel of the cabin and extra special personal touches provided by the owners who will do everything possible to please their guests! You won't be disappointed.

The biggest attraction, Yellowstone National Park, is a beautiful 34-mile drive from the cabin. The drive south down Highway 89 places you at Roosevelt Arch, the northwest entrance into Yellowstone National Park. While traveling, you will likely see more wildlife not to mention the majestic peaks of the Absaroka/Beartooth mountain range to the east and the Gallatin range to the west.

Within 5 miles of the cabin is Chico Hot Springs, which is a year-round resort with two hot springs pools, an exquisite dining room and a family friendly grille. At night, the Old Saloon hosts various local bands featuring a mixture of genre to satisfy your musical choice. The Yellowstone River, a short mile away, boasts some of the best fishing for rainbow trout. Or, if you like, you can float the river! Guest Reviews:

- "This was a wonderful property with a clean, cozy, and artfully decorated cabin. Amenities were top notch and we really enjoyed meals on the back porch and beautifully landscaped yard with chairlift! Access to the river was awesome...wish we could have had more time on the Gallatin. They also provided a terrific binder with tons of recommendations for a range of activities, which was very helpful for our first stay in Bozeman! Only downside was the sound of distant highway traffic; it was hot during our stay and we had to have the windows open. But we're from remote Alaska and sensitive to urban noise, it probably wouldn't be noticeable to most urban dwellers. We highly recommend Michael and Meagan's Gallatin Getaway Cabin!"

Couldn't have been more comfortable in any way ...and we adored getting to know the character that rented it to us! More than we hoped for cant wait to return!!! Just perfect in every way!!!" - "The hosts met us when we arrived. The cabin is very unique and depicts a life from long ago while giving you the necessary accommodations to make your stay enjoyable. The hosts have made a conscientious effort to make the cabin a positive experience. The water is hard, but they've added softener and it even takes good. Coming from Oregon that is a big compliment. The kitchen is well equipped and even has oil and some nice spices. The shower is great, and the towels are excellent. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well. When I asked for additional pillows, she promptly brought them to us. I really enjoyed the back porch. There are several types of birds to watch, a deer did walk through our yard, a baby bunny and only a few giant mosquitos. lol, but the host had bug spray available for that purpose."

Frequently asked questions:
1. Is the hot tub currently open? Yes, it is! We clean and chlorinate it daily.

3. Does the kitchen have everything I need to cook? Yes, the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots/pans, etc. Everything you need to prepare a meal! There are also two gas grills on site for guest use. And have a number of oils and spices in the cabins for your use!

5. Do I need 4WD to get to the cabins? 4WD is definitely not necessary to get around. Most of the roads are paved and the county keeps things well plowed in the winter. 10. How far to grocery store and restaurants? Bozeman and Belgrade both offer these services and both are about a 20 minute drive.

11. Which cabin is best for a family? Cabins 1 and 3 offer the most room with a separate bedroom. The other 3 cabins are studios with bed and sleeper couch in the same room. (See photos)

12. Which cabin is most private? All the cabins are situated to provide a private feel. They are spaced about 150 - 200 feet apart and are orientated not to be in each others view-shed. Having said that, cabin 5 is at the end of the line.

13. Do I need to bring firewood for the stove or the fire-pit? No. The stoves in the cabins are gas and we provide wood for the fire-pits.

14. Do I need to bring charcoal for the grills? No, the grills are propane grills and we supply the propane.

15. Can I have my small wedding or elopement here? (I am quiet and respectful!)
No. We have a very strict no wedding, ceremony, or elopement policy due to covenants.

I especially appreciated the cleanliness of the cabin. Absolutely was a breath of fresh air. Thanks to all!" - "This cabin is precious and was perfect for our family of 5. It had everything we needed. The owners were easy to work with, provided some unique special touches and made us feel very welcome. The views were spectacular. A totally authentic Montana sweet retreat in a convenient location
Cabin
Livingston, Montana, USA

Tucked into the woods at the end of the road just 13 minutes from the heart of town, this cabin is a treasure. Cliff built the place himself; each tree sawn on his tractor-powered sawmill. We added family antiques, new mattresses and original art (lotsa comfort and love). The covered porch is high in the trees with breathtaking views 1000 feet above the Yellowstone River. A stellar location, you will be hard-pressed to find a more memorable authentic cabin experience during your Montana travels.

Cliff was the stuff of legend; a barrel chested mountain man with a heart of gold and a zen-like deep-souled connection to nature. The cabin has power, running water, bath, shower and a full kitchen. The loft has a king size power adjustable bed and the "Powder Room" has a full size bed. Both beds are topped with hand stitched comforters and cozy linens.

The secluded cabin was built onto the side of a mountain above town. You can watch squirrels scamper on the ground outside the bathroom window yet the living room and porch at the front of the cabin sit high off the ground in the trees. Through the tree tops, sky surrounds a view of the Yellowstone River below and the Crazy Mountains beyond. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular from this nest of a home in the trees. The thirty foot porch has a BBQ grill, a dining area and a lounge area complete with a fire pit to cozy around while looking at an endlessly star-filled "Big Sky Country" sky (especially delightful as we do not have the distraction of light pollution). Nights are considerably cooler up here in the forest 1000 feet above Livingston, a welcome respite during the warmer summer months. Cliff's cabin is in it's own neck of the woods, easy to access and private. You will find plenty of forest and a few trails to explore. A big horned owl and its mate have been hanging around Cliff’s cabin - you may hear them hoot at night and in the mornings.
Although we live on the property, you will not see our home. We enjoy people but we do not want to disturb the beauty of quietude which Cliff's cabin offers our guests. Simply let us know the level of interaction you desire. You may check-in on your own. We are accessible by phone and will let you know if we are out-of-town at the time of your booking. You will be able to see my art studio on your way to Cliff's cabin (ask us if you would like a studio tour). We are happy to answer questions and meet your needs. Let us know how we can make your stay dreamier.

Frequently asked questions:
1. Is the hot tub currently open? Yes, it is! We clean and chlorinate it daily.

Newly Designed Home with Hot Tub | Aspects Big Sky
Cabin
Big Sky, Montana, USA

Summary:
Reconnect with yourself, your friends, and the raw beauty of Big Sky. This house is located in the midst of Aspects Big Sky: a 10-home village nestled in a ryegrass field in the Gallatin Valley with a sauna, walking trails, and fire pits. You’ll find a warm, inviting home with everything you need to dive head first into Big Sky living. With direct views of misty and moody Ramshorn Ridge, the house boasts a private hot tub, backyard, and all the accoutrements you’ll need.

The Space:
As part of Aspects Big Sky you’ll have access to our sauna, walking trails, and fire pits as well as a team dedicated to ensuring peace of mind during your stay so you can enjoy the place and the people you’re with.

As you can tell from the photos, we’re in the process of redesigning Aspects Big Sky to open in early December. We’re adding native trees and plantings, secluded fire pits, a deck area with a sauna and warming hut, as well as adding new furniture to each home. Your stay will be special to us and we’ll do everything in our power to make it special for you as some of our first guests. We live right around the corner and will be around to assist with anything that comes up.

You'll enter either through the garage or front door. If by garage, you'll find space for 2 cars and all your gear whether bikes and rods or skis and boards. The foyer greets you as you enter the house with hooks-galore and plenty of shoe storage. Your worries will slide away as you walk down the hallway revealing a large, open living area with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and property.

The kitchen, living room, and dining room flow seamlessly, making for a lively and intimate space for you and your group. Cook dinner, watch some old ski movies, or curl up and read a book.

Before you go upstairs, you'll inevitably be drawn to slide open the patio door to find your own yard, a path leading to your secluded, personal hot tub, walking paths leading around the property and, most importantly, to the property's very own sauna and warming hut. On your way, you'll find two large fire pits for telling stories and cooking s'mores.

Back in your house, catch your breath after walking upstairs and blaming the elevation. You'll find a laundry room and three en-suite bedrooms. Each room is designed specifically for not just a good night sleep, but a *great* night sleep. Light-blocking curtains, bedside carafes, and sheets you'll want to take home with you. Plush towels and Aesop toiletries top off the bathrooms. Fear not, the water pressure is great!

Guest Access:
You'll have full, private access to your house and hot tub. You'll share access to the sauna, fire-pits, views, and walking paths with the other guests on the property.

The Neighborhood:
Aspects Big Sky is situated at the doorstep to Big Sky. 8 minutes to town and 15 minutes to the mountain resort. We are strategically located close to The Riverhouse, a Big Sky institution serving the best bbq and suds west of the Mississippi, some say.

Getting Around:
Best to have a car. We’re happy to help you arrange this if helpful. Turo is a great place to look and airport pickup is seamless. Our 1983 Mitsubishi Delica shred-mobile is in the shop right now, otherwise we’d offer it up.

Other Things to Note:
We are proudly a certified Fee Free (tm) stay. Life’s too short to be surprised with your total after getting excited about a stay.
Reach out with *any* questions. We're here to give you ultimate peace of mind so you can enjoy Big Sky to the fullest.

We do ask that those traveling with pets pay our Pet Rate which includes a dog bed and a few other surprises for your 4-legged partner(s) in crime.

Interaction with Guests:
We'll be as involved in your stay as you like. That being said, you'll have the house to yourselves. We are a message, text, or call away should you require assistance.

Granny's Off-the-Grid. A sweet retreat
Cabin
Western Montana

Enjoy blissful solitude tucked into the woods at the end of the road just 13 minutes away from the heart of town. Fresh linens, a new mattress, fine recliner, antiques, original art, books, two-burner propane stove and propane heat add convenience to the cozy cabin Cliff built with love for his mother "Granny." Hang your waders, read, write, paint, drink wine, walk the woods, take in breathtaking views 1000 feet above the Yellowstone River in an authentic cabin. Inspiration abounds.

The space
You will have the whole cabin to yourself. The antique cook stove was used by Granny but we’ve made your stay infinitely easier (and safer) with a propane two-burner cookstove and a separate heater to keep you cozy. The kitchen is complete with a kettle, French press, coffee, tea, cutlery, cookware, dishes, dish basin, towels, soap etc. The cabin has excellent cell service, battery-powered lanterns, Bluetooth speaker with USB charger, propane heater, super clean outhouse, outdoor shower and a large, covered porch. The twin bed has a comfy brand-new mattress. A luxury airbed-cot with bedding makes a nice bed off the floor for an extra guest.

Guest access
You will find plenty of woods and a few trails to explore. Sunrises and sunsets are often unforgettable painterly displays of color.

Other things to note
The cabin has drinking water, a pre-chilled cooler and an outdoor "glamping" shower. Solar power lights illuminate the path to the cabin and the outhouse.
We welcome your pets but please let us know in advance.

Dog-friendly ($15/night per dog), 2 dog max.

The space
The loft space has a queen and twin bed for up to three people. The first level has a full bath with shower (the shower is on the smaller side). Another half bath is located in the loft so it's easily accessible from the sleeping space. Looking down from the loft is the kitchen with gas stove, oven, coffee pot and fully stocked cooking utensils.

Please bear in mind the loft is accessible via a large ladder. It’s sturdy however if you have any physical limitations or are traveling with small children this cabin might not be the best choice for you.

The cabin does NOT have A/C and it can get hot in the summer; if you are someone who requires A/C to live indoors or sleep comfortably during the summer months this cabin is not the best space for you.

The cabin has Wifi (NOTE: it's basic wifi and only meant for using email and internet searches; not for downloading large amounts of data or streaming).

There is a covered front porch and a back patio with more chairs, a BBQ and a fire pit (please pay attention to any outdoor fire restrictions)

The property is dog friendly and dogs are an additional $15 per night/per dog (max 2 dogs). Dogs are not allowed on furniture, may not be left alone in the cabin unless in a secure crate, you pick up after your dog (doggie bags are on the front porch in case you forgot yours) and they may not disturb other animals on the ranch. The dog fee is sent via a separate charge referred to as an 'Extra Service' which must be paid by day of arrival. (Please ignore the new pet fee on AirBnB, it doesn't apply to how we charge for pets)

Free range chicken eggs (in season) that come straight from our own Cackle Berry Coop are stocked in your brand new, red, mini retro fridge/freezer. On site (and in season) is also a large garden which you may pick fresh vegetables and herbs from.

As the cabin was being built it was taken into consideration of people who would appreciate the vast landscape from Mill Creek Flats, to the who do's of Chimney Rock either way your minds eye will take back with it a reality that only a few are blessed to live.

Guest access
You must have a vehicle. If you're visiting during winter you must have a winter weather capable vehicle, which means it has a higher clearance, AWD or FWD, and preferably winter tires. The cabin is accessed off of a gravel road and down a dirt driveway. The county doesn't always get the roads down in the valley cleared quickly and you must be prepared to navigate gravel roads covered with snow.

Other things to note
Due to the loft this cabin is not suitable if a guest has a physical limitation that would prevent them from safety ascending and descending the ladder up to the loft and sleeping area. It is also not suitable for young children.
There are many animals on the ranch, a Great Pyrenees working dog, usually 1 or two other dogs, horses (sometimes free roaming), sheep, chickens, outdoor cats and sometimes cows.
Three (3) person (including any children) maximum (no exceptions)
Two dogs maximum: each dogs is $15/night and may never be left alone in the cabin unless they are in a secure crate (dog owner must supply crate). Guests must disclose if they are bringing a dog and/or service animal.
Service animals used for the sole purpose of aiding a person with a disability are permitted, and should be clearly marked as a working animal. No pet fees are assessed for service animals. Pets whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

Western Montana

Just 3 miles from historic downtown Livingston on a working livestock farm, this new, modern cabin offers all the amenities you need in a peaceful setting with an amazing view. We are 1 hour from Yellowstone Nat'l Park and close to world class skiing, hiking, and fishing, a few minutes from the Yellowstone River and 30 minutes to vibrant Bozeman. Please note: for reservations for 2 guests, the loft is not included unless requested & is $25/night if requested. See more details below.

The space
Please note: for 2 guests, the sleeping loft is not included unless requested! This is to keep it affordable for people only using the queen bed & to prevent us from having to do unnecessary laundry. For more than 2 guests, or use of the loft with 2 guests, there is a $25/person fee to cover the additional laundry and cleaning. Also note: the loft is accessed by a ladder which may not be safe or comfortable for all guests.

If you need more space, we have another, identical cabin right next door. Message us or look for that listing to book both.

The cabin is outfitted with all kitchen essentials, coffee, and tea. There is Wi-Fi and a TV. While there is no cable, you can log into any of your streaming services during your stay.

This is a working pasture-based pork and poultry farm and you may see various animals, including pigs, chickens, our milk cow, dogs and cats, during your stay. We ask that you please not feed or pet any of the animals. This is mostly because some of our fences are electrified and we don't want you or them to get shocked. We also have four working livestock guardian dogs (big white dogs) that may or may not be working in the pastures around the cabin during your stay. We have never had a complaint, but part of the dogs' job is to bark to warn predators. We have provided a white noise machine in case it is a particularly busy night for them.

We may have employees and/or customers driving past the cabins during your stay. Customers come to pick up orders and employees come in the morning and leave in the afternoon. We also may be working with the animals in the pastures around your cabin during the day. Our animals are moved every day, so we cannot guarantee that you will see any or all of them.

Guest access
Guests have use of the entire cabin, back porch, fire pit area, and parking area. You can feel free to walk back down the driveway and to the road if you would like to take a walk. Please do not go through our driveway gate past the cabins, and do not go into any of the pastures around the farm.

Other things to note
Please note: for 2 guests, the sleeping loft is not included unless requested. This is to prevent us from having to do unnecessary laundry. For more than 2 guests, there is a $25/person fee to cover the additional laundry and cleaning. Also note: the loft is accessed by a ladder which may not be safe or comfortable for all guests.

The cabin is equipped with a washer & dryer for your use. The kitchen is equipped with everything you may need to make a meal: pots and pans, cutting board, knives, silverware, dishes, drink ware, strainer, mixing bowls, tea kettle etc. Coffee, tea, salt, pepper, cooking oil, and farm fresh eggs, as availability allows, are supplied.

There is a 4 burner stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, and coffee maker. Please note: there is no oven.

Cliff's Cabin - authentic Montana retreat
Cabin
Western Montana

Tucked into the woods at the end of the road just 13 minutes from the heart of town, this cabin is a treasure. Cliff built the place himself; each tree sawn on his tractor-powered sawmill. We added family antiques, new mattresses and original art (lotsa comfort and love). The covered porch is high in the trees with breathtaking views 1000 feet above the Yellowstone River. A stellar location, you will be hard-pressed to find a more memorable authentic cabin experience during your Montana travels

The space
Cliff was the stuff of legend; a barrel chested mountain man with a heart of gold and a zen-like deep-souled connection to nature. The cabin has power, running water, bath, shower and a full kitchen. The loft has a king size bed and the "Powder Room" has a full size bed. Both beds are topped with hand stitched comforters and cozy linens.

The secluded cabin was built onto the side of a mountain above town. You can watch squirrels scamper on the ground outside the bathroom window. The living room and porch at the front of the cabin sits high off the ground in the trees. Through the tree tops the view is surrounded by sky with the Yellowstone River below and the Crazy Mountains beyond. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular from this nest of a home in the trees. The fifty foot porch has a BBQ grill, a dining area and a lounge area complete with a fire pit to sit to view an endlessly star-filled "Big Sky Country" sky (especially delightful as we do not have the distraction of light pollution). Nights are considerably cooler up here in the forest 1000 feet above Livingston, a welcome respite during the warmer summer months.

Guest access
Cliff's cabin is in it's own neck of the woods, easy to access and private. You will find plenty of forest and a few trails to explore. A big horned owl and its mate have been hanging around Cliff’s cabin - you may hear them hoot at night and in the mornings.

Other things to note
Our little dog Tala is often at the studio with me. She takes her job as "greeter" seriously and let's me know when someone drives by. We are open to pets but please let us know in advance.

Amenities:

Conditioner • Essentials • Shampoo • Cleaning products • Bathtub • Mountain view • Body soap • Hair dryer • Shower gel • Hot water
