Welcome to the Hot Springs Hideout. This open floor plan cabin is located right on the Big Horn River and is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cabin has all the comforts of home including a full kitchen equipped with most necessary items for meal prep and is located within Thermopolis so delivery of many foods is also available. A river rental shop is close by if you want to depart from the cabin by kayak, paddle board, tube or boat down the river from the cabin to the hot springs state park, or simply anchor your boat up next to the cabin after a long day of successful fly fishing. The boat ramp is approximately a block away located just across the river via the 8th street bridge. You can grill on the deck or soak in the hot tub at the rivers edge. Dry camping is available 1/4 mile up river along a beautiful stretch of slow deep water with a boat ramp upon request for any additional guests. $10/person/night.

Cozy cabin in a rural setting. Two bedrooms, living room and full kitchen, 3/4 bath, heated sunroom. Enjoy unobstructed views of Round Top hill and Wyoming sunsets. Convenient to fishing, hunting, hiking and all of the areas' hot springs, museums, and parks. Owners on site to assist you in making your stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. Thermopolis is famous for it's Dinosaur Museum and petroglyphs are seen with a short commute.
- "What a lovely stay. Both the place and the hosts exceeded our expectations! Truly felt like we were living at home! The place had everything one needed for a comfortable stay. The sun room in the winter is lovely. The cabin is accessible and is located in delightful Red Lane a mere 2 1/2 miles from the Hot Springs State Park. Thermopolis is a gem. So much to offer in beauty, people and tempo. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to family and friends."

This is a wonderful place just south of Thermopolis Wyoming with great hwy access. It sits on one quarter mile of Bighorn river frontage. This home was built in 2015, it has a wonderful patio overlooking the river.
- "Lovely cabin on the river. The owner was very welcoming. Everything as perfect - just like home." - "Has everything you need for a couple of days stay Clean and easily accessible" - "The property was as advertised. Everything we needed was provided except my wife was surprised when she realized that there was not a hair dryer. It would have been a big plus if the patio on the river had protection from the sun and weather. Overall it was a nice place."

- "This rental is a MUST!! The owners are so incredibly helpful and kind. The outdoor hot tub at night under the wide-open sky full of stars is incredible. The house is so cute and decorated so nicely. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The bathroom had very nice towels and products. The best thing about this house though is the incredible expansive view of the Wind River, the canyon opening from it and the Big Horn River that winds and flows by the ranches just below the house. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside every night for drinks, dinner and hot tubbing! Spent our days fishing, hiking and floating which was fabulous too. Will definitely stay here again!"

Dog trot Log Cabin with porches all the way around, with two queens, one full kitchen bath, dining room and fireplace. Cabin right on the river. Hot Springs close by, beautiful Mountain View’s with trophy trout fishing.
- "This cabin was a relatively new listing when we reserved it, so it felt like a bit of a gamble. It's not the easiest to find -- through 2 gates, over a dry creek bed and on a narrow lane -- but the owner provided good directions and the effort was worth it. The location is stellar, and we put in our paddleboards into the Bighorn River basically from our deck...for a 2-hour float to the Hot Springs St. Park. It was hot outside, but the cabin is cooled with a couple A/Cs which made it comfortable. The kitchen is furnished with basics. The cabin is near hot mineral springs and the shower water smelled like sulpher, which took some getting used to, but was fine. No Wifi, which was fine with us too. Cell phone service spotty. If you're looking for a spacious, relaxing-by-the-river getaway, this may be it."

Dog trot Log Cabin with porches all the way around, with one full kitchen bath dining room and fireplace two queen beds, sleeps 4. Cabin right on the river. Hot Springs close by, beautiful Mountain View’s with trophy trout fishing.
- "Cozy cabin on the river." - "The cabin and property have potential. There are two rentals, not obvious from the listing. We walked in and were greeted by moths. Not one or two, but too numerous to count. There were dead bugs on the floor behind the couch, and dust was under the beds. There was a moth in the refrigerator. We were tired from our drive so we stayed the night. A couple moths flew into my forehead while I was trying to sleep. We could hear them banging into the window in the vaulted ceiling. There were numerous wasp nests in the eaves and a bird had made a nest in the wood siding. We contacted the property manager to let them know we were leaving after one night. They responded that the moths were to be expected this time of year and she had one in her tub. We could have handled a few, but this was an infestation. My wife grew up in this area, and we visited several friends in the area who did not have moth problems in their homes. Mention should be made that it is a long dirt/gravel driveway that could be tricky when muddy. One other suggestion is to have microwave safe dishes. The dishes provided were metal."

Leave the hustle behind for the beauty of Small-Town Wyoming, connect with nature at this vacation cabin. This home offers a comfortable interior with a fully equipped kitchen. Outside of the home, you can explore the State Park, go fishing or kayaking in the Bighorn River, or spend the day at Hellie's Tepee Pools.
There is a large back yard for plenty of parking. A new window unit air conditioner was installed June 29 2024.
- "This place is so cute! It has everything you need for a quick stay for two. So happy to find a full coffee set up! Very clean and updated. Easy to find and convenient location. Only thing is the couch is pretty stiff, so don’t plan on using it as an extra bed. Cozy front porch and plenty of parking. Easy check in and check out. Highly recommend floating the river while you are there, the hot spring itself is worth seeing, but we prefer natural landscape over a pool. Great for tubes or SUP, kid friendly. Good trip overall, friendly small town vibe! "

This is perfect for young couples or solo travelers. No children under 14 please. The bed is very comfortable and the room has black out curtains that will allow for a good night's sleep. My neighborhood is quiet with great neighbors. The cabin is completely finished on the inside including electricity, heat, and air conditioning. There is no water or bathroom in the cabin. Guests will need to come into the main house (where I live) to use the guest bathroom, etc.
The space
Please note that the cabin is just a bed in a shed and NOT connected to the main house. There is electricity, heat, air conditioning and WiFi. There is no running water in the cabin. You will need to come into the house to use the guest bathroom. ,During the summer months there is an East side entrance with a gate to get to the cabin without going through the main house. During the snowy winter months there is no access to the cabin without going through the house, which is absolutely not a problem. You are my guest and are definitely welcome in my home.
Guest access
I will want to be home to check you in (please text or call me when you know your approximate arrival time). I will show you around and from there you can come & go, within reasonable hours.
During your stay
I want you to feel comfortable while you are staying in my home. I don't allow the use of my stove & oven, but I can offer suggestions for dining and for local sights to see. My microwave is available to use and I have a Keurig coffee/tea machine. Since I do live in the house, my refrigerator/freezer is often full of my own groceries, but I can usually make some space for restaurant leftovers.
Other things to note
Because I live here and also work from home, I request quiet time from 9pm to 8am.
