- "This property was amazing. From the welcome gifts, to the well stocked kitchen with any item you could ever need, we felt truly at home from the moment we stepped inside. We were 45 minutes from the Bozeman airport and 40 minutes from yellowstone. The perfect location to use as a base away from the crowds of tourists. Gorgeous sunsets each night with a welcomed breeze during the heat wave the week we were there. We enjoyed the wildlife (horses, deer, and the bunnies everyone mentioned in their own reviews), the big sky, and the stars at night. To bounce off of the reviews i read before booking, there were comments about a squeeky master bed -- we did NOT find this to be the case at all. All of the beds were extremely comfortable as were the pillows. Plenty of extra bedding and towels were provided. We also made use of the washer and dryer and very much appreciated the detergent provided! Thank you for a wonderful stay, if we make it out that way again we will definitely try to book here again!"

Just the right amount of rustic, this cabin is also quite secluded with a few neighbors, including deer, elk, foxes, eagles, hawks, magpies, blue birds, finches, gophers, and more! Located with an awe-inspiring view of the mountains and so close to Yellowstone and Chico Hot Springs, and the western town of Livingston. Livingston and Emigrant offer nice dining, breweries, an array of art galleries and other unique shops. Chico`s pool is outdoors, wonderfully clean as water is fresh every day.
It is quaint with its knotty pine interior, river rock fireplace and custom log bed! It`s setting is perfect to create an awesomely memorable visit. You may come to visit Yellowstone Park, but you may find that you won`t want to leave the cabin! Hideabed has got a newer plush mattress to make our guests more comfy.
Apple and Bing maps have the neighborhood streets wrong, so please be attentive to my directions and map that I send you. Weber gas BBQ, outdoor fire pit, washer and dryer, WIFI (12-20 MBPS) and satellite television, heat and air conditioning, gas fireplace logs for ambiance in the evenings. Birdseed for the bird feeder, spotting scope. Firewood and propane are provided. Smoking outside please.
Minimal, yet nearby if needed. We live on the way to the cabin and if we see you arrive, we may just check in to see if all is wonderful! We are sensitive to your privacy, yet always available by phone, text, or in person, if needed.
Its location in the valley with great views in all directions, quiet, peaceful area not too far off of a paved road. Love seeing wildlife every day, yet close to town and Yellowstone Park, fishing and hiking within 15 minutes. During wintertime, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, dog-sledding, snowmobiling are a short distance away!
Car, motorcycle or bicycle. Free bus from Livingston to Bozeman on weekdays. Uber now available in the area and Bozeman.
Dogs are welcome for an additional fee of $10 each day to a maximum of $45 for a week. Longer stays or more dogs will be slightly more. The 8% Montana accommodations tax is included in the price. We request that dogs not be left in cabin without approval of the host. Host does have medium size crates available.

The cabin was very clean and we had no issues. Besides the house next door the cabin is in a private setting and we enjoyed sitting outside enjoying the impressive views. I would highly recommend and we will be back!" - "Stayed here with my wife as a late honeymoon, loved every second of it, small awesome town, lots of hiking trails near by. With spectacular views of three mountain ranges in the Shields River Valley, the cabin is a perfect place to get away from it all. Perfect for a writer's retreat, family getaway, or use as a home base to explore Montana. It's about a 20 mile drive to local skiing at Bridger Bowl, and only two miles to the small town of Clyde Park which has a country market, 2 bars, post office, hardware store, and gas station. Close to excellent fishing in the Shields or Yellowstone Rivers, and about an hour drive to Yellowstone National Park. The larger town of Livingston which has many art galleries, entertainment, fine dining, and everything else you might need is 18 miles away. We are also about an hour drive to the closest airport and 2 hours to Billings.
Conveniently located off Hwy 89 on the route between Yellowstone and Glacier Parks, the cabin is in the heart of ranch country on a gravel road, perfect for those morning walks. At night you might hear owls hooting, elk bugling and coyotes yapping, while you look up at the star filled sky!
The cabin is quaintly decorated with country charm throughout. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a full size bed. In the living area there is a full size fouldout futon and a lazyboy chair. We can also accommodate with a Graco Pack and Play for baby. We can provide 2 mountain bikes for riding the local roads if you are interested, just let us know!
There are only 2 neighbors nearby, which is ourselves and one other house.

Most of all, we were so pleased that a momma black bear and her 2 cubs ran across the road right before we turned into the ranch down a dirt road that we then hiked for a couple of hours w our dog. Montana doesn't get any more real than this. We invite you to our secluded historic cabin 30 feet away from the Yellowstone River in the heart of Paradise Valley. Come and stay awhile, watch the river go by and listen to the sounds of the Yellowstone River's great birds moving over the river from the cabin deck. If you're quiet, you can hear the wind from their wings in flight just feet away from you.
You may want to play a little game of horseshoes before grilling up a good dinner on the barbecue grill. Toss in your fishing line from the property's banks or launch a raft and sail away. Or you could just soak up the sights and sounds until your appetite gets you moving to dine at Chico or the many other nearby dining choices.
The manicured mature trees and shrubs on the property provide an idyllic park-like setting. There is a fire pit and benches for a relaxing evening fire, long conversations and marshmallow roasting. Count on having an all-wheel drive vehicle for the driveway. It's a steep one!
Guests must have an all-wheel drive vehicle. The driveway down to the cabin is very steep. Front wheel drive vehicles do not have enough power to make it up the driveway. Owners can assist guests with non all-wheel drive with options to access the cabin upon request. Do not attempt to drive down the driveway pulling an RV, or trailer unless approved by owner first.

- "We had a wonderful weeklong stay at this cabin. It was our first time to Montana, and wanted to be right on the river, and were not disappointed. The location was perfect, halfway between Livingston and Yellowstone Park. And not far from Bozeman. The property is very private. The cabin is authentic, small, yet comfortable. (We were 2 adults and a dog.) The kitchen is a good size with everything you need, including a fairly large fridge. The bathroom is nice, although the shower is very small. And the outside deck is awesome. You can watch, and hear the river, from the deck, which is very soothing. Or sit right at the riverbank and enjoy it up close. We'd see bald eagles, and deer came through the property in the early morning and late evening. A couple of things to be aware of ... if you're coming in the summer, bring insect repellent ... and you'll need 4 Wheel Drive or a capable AWD vehicle to get down to the cabin. The gravel road is very steep. All in all, it's a great property, and one that we will want to come back to."

Sit on the bench by the creek and listen to the rippling of the clear water as you watch a stunning sunset. This cozy and unique rental attracts honeymooners each year because they love the quiet, privacy of this secluded cabin, as well as the super cozy atmosphere inside.
Emigrant Peak's 10,915 feet of beauty is framed by the window in the den. It rises in the distance and provides the perfect setting for a stunning sunset with a fantastic view of the mountains. Eight Mile Creek runs through the property attracts bald eagles and osprey as they hunt the creek for fish. Once you settle in, take a stroll to the creek and dip your feet in or sit and read to the music of rippling water. Children love to play in the cool refreshing water in late summer. You can oftentimes see pronghorn antelope grazing on the bluffs across the road and mule and whitetail deer frequent the property year round.
A private, sheltered barbecue and outdoor dining area give you views of the mountains surrounding the property where you can share memories of the day's events or enjoy the amazing night sky. A welcoming fire pit provides the perfect setting for reminiscing about the day's activities. Mountain View Getaway is centrally located in Paradise Valley, just one mile from the Yellowstone River, famed for fly fishing and scenic and whitewater rafting just minutes away in Gardiner, Montana. Horseback riding can easily be arranged at nearby ranches. There are many hiking trails in the valley as well as in the park. Music Mountain, another popular music venue, is 15 minutes away as well.
The rental is on the second floor of a decorative barn, which never housed animals. It is located on Old Yellowstone Trail North, which was originally cited as a buffalo trail, then Trail Creek Road, and then under the current name because it served as the stagecoach trail to Yellowstone National Park after the park opened and before a railroad spur was built to the park.
Emigrant Peak is framed by the living room window where you can sit and relax after an adventurous day in nearby Yellowstone National Park. The cabin's theme is wildlife: moose, deer, bighorn sheep and bison adorn the walls and linens. The large private bedroom has a queen-sized bed and huge closet with washer and dryer, and the living room couch easily folds out into a comfy queen-sized sleeper. The full kitchen and bath have everything you need to make your stay feel just like home. Most guests enjoy the cozy feel of the cabin and extra special personal touches provided by the owners who will do everything possible to please their guests! You won't be disappointed.
The biggest attraction, Yellowstone National Park, is a beautiful 34-mile drive from the cabin. The drive south down Highway 89 places you at Roosevelt Arch, the northwest entrance into Yellowstone National Park. While traveling, you will likely see more wildlife not to mention the majestic peaks of the Absaroka/Beartooth mountain range to the east and the Gallatin range to the west.
Within 5 miles of the cabin is Chico Hot Springs, which is a year-round resort with two hot springs pools, an exquisite dining room and a family friendly grille. At night, the Old Saloon hosts various local bands featuring a mixture of genre to satisfy your musical choice. The Yellowstone River, a short mile away, boasts some of the best fishing for rainbow trout. Or, if you like, you can float the river! Tucked into the woods at the end of the road just 13 minutes from the heart of town, this cabin is a treasure. Cliff built the place himself; each tree sawn on his tractor-powered sawmill. We added family antiques, new mattresses and original art (lotsa comfort and love). The covered porch is high in the trees with breathtaking views 1000 feet above the Yellowstone River. A stellar location, you will be hard-pressed to find a more memorable authentic cabin experience during your Montana travels.
Cliff was the stuff of legend; a barrel chested mountain man with a heart of gold and a zen-like deep-souled connection to nature. The cabin has power, running water, bath, shower and a full kitchen. The loft has a king size power adjustable bed and the "Powder Room" has a full size bed. Both beds are topped with hand stitched comforters and cozy linens.
The secluded cabin was built onto the side of a mountain above town. You can watch squirrels scamper on the ground outside the bathroom window yet the living room and porch at the front of the cabin sit high off the ground in the trees. Through the tree tops, sky surrounds a view of the Yellowstone River below and the Crazy Mountains beyond. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular from this nest of a home in the trees. The thirty foot porch has a BBQ grill, a dining area and a lounge area complete with a fire pit to cozy around while looking at an endlessly star-filled "Big Sky Country" sky (especially delightful as we do not have the distraction of light pollution). Nights are considerably cooler up here in the forest 1000 feet above Livingston, a welcome respite during the warmer summer months. Cliff's cabin is in it's own neck of the woods, easy to access and private. You will find plenty of forest and a few trails to explore. A big horned owl and its mate have been hanging around Cliff’s cabin - you may hear them hoot at night and in the mornings.
Although we live on the property, you will not see our home. We enjoy people but we do not want to disturb the beauty of quietude which Cliff's cabin offers our guests. Simply let us know the level of interaction you desire. You may check-in on your own. We are accessible by phone and will let you know if we are out-of-town at the time of your booking. You will be able to see my art studio on your way to Cliff's cabin (ask us if you would like a studio tour). We are happy to answer questions and meet your needs. Let us know how we can make your stay dreamier.
- "If you are looking for a place that feels like home this is it." - "Cliffs cabin didn’t disappoint! Perfect location for a secluded get away! Beautiful views of the mountains from the deck. We loved this rustic little slice of heaven and our host was more than accommodating with our requests." - "This was the most fun, authentic, mountain retreat complete with trophies on the walls. It was perfect for us two grandparents and two teenage grandsons. One of the boys split some logs for our fire at night. AND it's only ten minutes to charming Livingston, MT!"

- "This is one of the best stays we’ve ever had. The house is perfect. It has everything you need, and it was squeaky clean. I felt incredibly comfortable. The 360 degrees views from the home are to die for. The backyard is perfect for some grilling and relaxation. It is very close to Chico Hot Springs. It’s also in between Livingston and Emmigrant. My only regret was not staying longer. When we return to Montana, this is the first place I will book. Congratulations to the owners. However, you don’t deal with the owners; instead, it’s a rental company. I didn’t have the best communication with the company, but I’m spoiled with constant communications from all the rentals we do. My only observation is that the road to get to the house is not paved. It’s a dirt road and some uphill. A truck would be helpful. We were there during summertime."

Come get away from the crowds! Looking for a safe & comfortable hideout?
Emigrant Peak Cabin is a cozy & comfortable cabin ideally located in Paradise valley 5 minutes from Chico hot springs, 30 minutes from Yellowstone National Park (the North West entrance next to the town of Gardiner) and 1 hour southeast of Bozeman Airport. We are 30 minutes south of the quaint cowboy/old west town of Livingston.
Blessed with incredible 360 degree mountain views, flanked by the Absarokas to the east, the Crazy mountains to the north, the Gallatins to the west and the awe-inspiring Mt Emigrant (11,00 feet/ 3,330 metres) less than a mile from your door.
Note: THERE ARE 2 SETS OF STAIRS so we are unsuitable for people who would have a hard time navigating them. One set of stairs leads to the front door. The other leads to the loft bedroom.
Winter-time: the cabin is ultra cozy even on the chilliest of days. And we are conveniently located within 5 minutes of Chico hot springs.... a great way to begin or end the day! The hot springs are open from 7am til 10pm daily.
In the summertime we have a lovely porch for chilled out evenings with a cold beverage of you choice or a nice glass of wine. Perfect for early morning cups of coffee while you watch the wonders of nature here in the valley. We also have a well-equipped kitchen and a sunny loft bedroom. The cabin is comfy & cozy with magnificent views out of every window!
Chico hot springs resort is within walking/biking distance!
Having the resort at your doorstep enables you to take advantage of all the amenities they offer such as horse-riding, soaking in the thermal pools, yoga classes, biking & hiking trails.
For the more adventurous souls there are float trips on offer.... There are also local companies that can provide you with SUPs or kayaks for a reasonable fee.
We are 1/2 mile from The Yellowstone River which is world famous for trout fisherman and water enthusiasts of all kinds. I recommend that you spend at least one summer's day on the water during your stay here in Paradise Valley. Whether you are tubing the river or paddling your kayak/canoe, stand up paddle boarding or taking a guided float, you will be amazed by the grandeur of the mountains, the variety of wildlife and the sheer beauty of this valley which has truly earned its' name.... Paradise!
Note: CORONAVIRUS PREVENTION: Our housekeepers are taking every precaution to ensure that the house is a safe retreat for you & your loved ones. They are disinfecting every surface & wiping down all light switches, door handles, remotes, backs of chairs, wood furniture, lamps, etc... with lysol wipes.
- "The house was just perfect for the 3 of us - myself, wife and dog. We stayed for 4 weeks in July. The views of the mountains, including Emigrant Peek, were just amazing and felt completely private. The neighborhood has tons of open, undevelop[ed space. Our dog had a blast in the open fields when we walked each day. In the mornings and evenings, we loved sitting on the deck and watching the deer and other critters in the hayfield below the house. The house had everything we needed. It is very private but so convenient to Emigrant, the Old Sallon and Folllow Yer Nose BBQ. Debbie, the owner, is awesome and was very helpful. Is was a sdpecial 4 weeks in a special place. We highly recommend the property for a couple and their dog."

- "The cabins are awesome! Clean, well decorated and a fabulous view of the mountains. Very peaceful setting and a front porch to star gaze or watch the morning sunrise over the mountains. Great location if you are visiting Yellowstone through the North Entrance. We enjoyed it all!" - "My partner and I needed a place to stay for a bday surprise concert at the Old Saloon. This cabin is 13 minutes away tucked off the main highway in the most beautiful location. The place was beautiful down to the last detail. The beds new and comfortable, the kitchen stocked with everything we could need and cabin vibes couldn’t be more spot on. The host was accommodating and easy to work with as well. Big thanks! The views are incredible. We were blessed with a snow storm the night we got there and woke up to 360 degrees of frosted mountain peaks in June! My partner hasn’t stopped talking about how we should move to paradise valley, a bday success, I’d say. We will most definitely be returning for our frequent Montana fishing trips."

Enjoy blissful solitude tucked into the woods at the end of the road just 13 minutes away from the heart of town. Fresh linens, a new mattress, fine recliner, antiques, original art, books, two-burner propane stove and propane heat add convenience to the cozy cabin Cliff built with love for his mother "Granny." Hang your waders, read, write, paint, drink wine, walk the woods, take in breathtaking views 1000 feet above the Yellowstone River in an authentic cabin. Inspiration abounds.
The space
You will have the whole cabin to yourself. The antique cook stove was used by Granny but we’ve made your stay infinitely easier (and safer) with a propane two-burner cookstove and a separate heater to keep you cozy. The kitchen is complete with a kettle, French press, coffee, tea, cutlery, cookware, dishes, dish basin, towels, soap etc. The cabin has excellent cell service, battery-powered lanterns, Bluetooth speaker with USB charger, propane heater, super clean outhouse, outdoor shower and a large, covered porch. The twin bed has a comfy brand-new mattress. A luxury airbed-cot with bedding makes a nice bed off the floor for an extra guest.
Guest access
You will find plenty of woods and a few trails to explore. Sunrises and sunsets are often unforgettable painterly displays of color.
Other things to note
The cabin has drinking water, a pre-chilled cooler and an outdoor "glamping" shower. Solar power lights illuminate the path to the cabin and the outhouse.
We welcome your pets but please let us know in advance.
The Lost Antler cabin is a place to take a deep breath and rejuvenate the senses. A space that allows your mind to drink up the deep history of the surrounding area, from wild gold mining towns to when the buffalo roamed free on the land.
2 NIGHT MIN during busy season & weekends.
During WINTER: must have AWD or FWD, experience driving in serious winter weather (snow, severe wind, extreme cold); the cabin is located on gravel roads & dirt driveway.
Dog-friendly ($15/night per dog), 2 dog max.
The space
The loft space has a queen and twin bed for up to three people. The first level has a full bath with shower (the shower is on the smaller side). Another half bath is located in the loft so it's easily accessible from the sleeping space. Looking down from the loft is the kitchen with gas stove, oven, coffee pot and fully stocked cooking utensils.
Please bear in mind the loft is accessible via a large ladder. It’s sturdy however if you have any physical limitations or are traveling with small children this cabin might not be the best choice for you.
The cabin does NOT have A/C and it can get hot in the summer; if you are someone who requires A/C to live indoors or sleep comfortably during the summer months this cabin is not the best space for you.
The cabin has Wifi (NOTE: it's basic wifi and only meant for using email and internet searches; not for downloading large amounts of data or streaming).
There is a covered front porch and a back patio with more chairs, a BBQ and a fire pit (please pay attention to any outdoor fire restrictions)
The property is dog friendly and dogs are an additional $15 per night/per dog (max 2 dogs). Dogs are not allowed on furniture, may not be left alone in the cabin unless in a secure crate, you pick up after your dog (doggie bags are on the front porch in case you forgot yours) and they may not disturb other animals on the ranch. The dog fee is sent via a separate charge referred to as an 'Extra Service' which must be paid by day of arrival. (Please ignore the new pet fee on AirBnB, it doesn't apply to how we charge for pets)
Free range chicken eggs (in season) that come straight from our own Cackle Berry Coop are stocked in your brand new, red, mini retro fridge/freezer. On site (and in season) is also a large garden which you may pick fresh vegetables and herbs from.
As the cabin was being built it was taken into consideration of people who would appreciate the vast landscape from Mill Creek Flats, to the who do's of Chimney Rock either way your minds eye will take back with it a reality that only a few are blessed to live.
Guest access
You must have a vehicle. If you're visiting during winter you must have a winter weather capable vehicle, which means it has a higher clearance, AWD or FWD, and preferably winter tires. The cabin is accessed off of a gravel road and down a dirt driveway. The county doesn't always get the roads down in the valley cleared quickly and you must be prepared to navigate gravel roads covered with snow.
Other things to note
Due to the loft this cabin is not suitable if a guest has a physical limitation that would prevent them from safety ascending and descending the ladder up to the loft and sleeping area. It is also not suitable for young children.
There are many animals on the ranch, a Great Pyrenees working dog, usually 1 or two other dogs, horses (sometimes free roaming), sheep, chickens, outdoor cats and sometimes cows.
Three (3) person (including any children) maximum (no exceptions)
Two dogs maximum: each dogs is $15/night and may never be left alone in the cabin unless they are in a secure crate (dog owner must supply crate). Guests must disclose if they are bringing a dog and/or service animal.
Service animals used for the sole purpose of aiding a person with a disability are permitted, and should be clearly marked as a working animal. No pet fees are assessed for service animals. Pets whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
Essentials • Smoke alarm • Bed linens • Books and reading material • Hair dryer • Hot water • Clothing storage: wardrobe • Heating • Mountain view • Extra pillows and blankets

A stellar location, you will be hard-pressed to find a more memorable authentic cabin experience during your Montana travels
The space
Cliff was the stuff of legend; a barrel chested mountain man with a heart of gold and a zen-like deep-souled connection to nature. The cabin has power, running water, bath, shower and a full kitchen. The loft has a king size bed and the "Powder Room" has a full size bed. Both beds are topped with hand stitched comforters and cozy linens.
The secluded cabin was built onto the side of a mountain above town. You can watch squirrels scamper on the ground outside the bathroom window. The living room and porch at the front of the cabin sits high off the ground in the trees. Through the tree tops the view is surrounded by sky with the Yellowstone River below and the Crazy Mountains beyond. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular from this nest of a home in the trees. The fifty foot porch has a BBQ grill, a dining area and a lounge area complete with a fire pit to sit to view an endlessly star-filled "Big Sky Country" sky (especially delightful as we do not have the distraction of light pollution). Nights are considerably cooler up here in the forest 1000 feet above Livingston, a welcome respite during the warmer summer months.
Guest access
Cliff's cabin is in it's own neck of the woods, easy to access and private. You will find plenty of forest and a few trails to explore. A big horned owl and its mate have been hanging around Cliff’s cabin - you may hear them hoot at night and in the mornings.
Other things to note
Our little dog Tala is often at the studio with me. She takes her job as "greeter" seriously and let's me know when someone drives by. We are open to pets but please let us know in advance.
