The Wood River Trail System is a 30+ mile network of paved trails that connect all the communities of the Wood River Valley – Bellevue, Ketchum, Sun Valley, and Elkhorn. ** This home does not have AC. Most homes in the valley do not have AC due to cool nights most of the time. There are two portable stand up fans and a ceiling fan in the BR. If you require AC, this may not be the home for you.

Hundreds of miles of breathtakingly beautiful trails to hike, cycle or dirt bike on. The wildflowers are amazing. Solar power gives you amenities while still keeping you off the grid and green.

Surrounding area has some of the best FLY-FISHING in the United States. When the river is flowing good, take a refreshing tube ride down the River. Too much to see and do to list.

It was equipped with everything we needed, and was ideally located to Warm Springs Lodge. We have been traveling to America's best ski resorts and have been renting homes (for 8-10 adults) for the last 20+years; this is the best one, hands down. Right around the corner ( a few minute walk) and you can rent demo skis, buy lift tickets and get on a lift. The lodge is right there for drinks and food. You can sit outside at the lodge and enjoy a beer after your done skiing and just walk home. You never have to move your car. Hello! Welcome to the Long Horse Ranch Cabins! This spacious cabin is one of 5 cabins located in town at the north end of Bellevue, Idaho. It offers a queen bed and pull out sofa bed. Bellevue is close to Hailey, Sun Valley and Ketchum and all the area has to offer. We are a unique lodging experience in the Valley! Cabin 3 is not pet friendly. The space
This cozy one room log cabin is approximately 350 sq feet. You have your own porch for relaxing.

We are also steps away from the Wood River Trail that goes over 17 miles from south of Bellevue to north of Ketchum. It's awesome for walking, biking and is groomed for nordic skiing in the winter.

No guest laundry available but there is a laundromat very close by in Bellevue.

Trash cans are available next to Cabin 3 in snowy weather and in warmer temps are located in the parking area by Cabin 4.

In winter snow removal is provided at the cabins. The parking area is plowed and paths are shoveled after 3 inches of snow. In town the roads are consistently plowed. Our roads are generally easy to get around in the snowy months because we don't have any hilly or mountain roads. They are mostly flat. I do recommend checking road conditions from Idaho 511 to check conditions getting to and from our area. It is best to be prepared for winter travel with a shovel, snow scrapers, blanket, flashlight and extra food and water for emergencies.

-These cabins are located on Main St. in the town of Bellevue. This is not on a ranch, it is a small motel style property with five cabins. There is a possibility for road noise from Main St.

-Pets allowed on approval. No more than one dog. Pet fee is $30 Please let me know if you are bringing a pet. Please no pets on furniture or beds. Provide your own pet bed or crate. Please no pets left in the cabin when you go out.

-Window air conditioners are installed by Memorial Day and removed just after Labor Day, if it still hot we will leave them in a little longer. Our cool mountain nights keep us comfortable the rest of the time. Fans are provided in the cabins under the bathroom sink.

Set in the Bellevue triangle on a 28 acre property with panoramic views of the local mountain ranges, this beautifully appointed cabin is a home away from home. Only 10 min from world class flyfishing, 20 min from miles of biking and hiking trails, 30 min from skiing and 40 min from downtown Ketchum and Sun Valley Lodge. Or just relax in the large back yard or on the front porch and enjoy the views and wildlife.
Dedicated parking and surrounding trees add to the privacy of this guest house.

The space
The cabin offers an ideal rustic getaway but with all the modern amenities.
Within a 45 minute drive North or South you could be at Craters of the Moon National Park or the famous Sun Valley Lodge and Resort. World Class fly fishing, bird watching, hiking, biking, restaurants and shopping all within 10-15 minute drives are found in Silver Creek Preserve and the towns of Picabo, Bellevue and Hailey.
Many guests also enjoy hanging out at the cabin. Casual walks and bike rides can be taken right from your own front door. There is very little traffic on the surrounding roads.
November through mid January the cabin offers a cozy getaway for snow lovers. In 30 minutes you can be on the chairlift at Bald Mt for world class skiing. Snow-shoeing and cross country skiing within minutes in many directions or even out of your front door.
Indoor board games, internet tv and DVD player with a large library of DVDs are available for rainy or snowy days. Sunny days bring bbqs on the gas or charcoal grill, dining on the covered patio, along with a few outdoor lawn games such as ladder ball and badminton.
Dedicated parking and surrounding trees add to the privacy of this cabin-like guest house.

Guest access
This cabin offers plenty of privacy. Guests have private entrances and parking. They have access to their own lawn/backard and the entire cabin.

Other things to note
2 paved parking spaces accessible from dedicated driveway.

The cabin has its own reliable wifi.

Although there is no AC in the cabin it is heavily insulated, every room has large ceiling fans and blackout curtains that keep it cool and comfortable even on the warmest days.

The Kitchenette has most everything you'd need for prepping a meal, except for a full size oven.

Cabin 5 is quiet and a little bit further off the road. It is a little bit larger than our other cabins and has separate sleeping areas although there is no door in between.

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. The home is within walking distance of all of the town's restaurants and one grocery store and located across from the city park. Jay’s Place is 20 minutes away from Soldier Mountain Ski Resort and only 15 minutes to some of the best recreational land in Southern Idaho.

The space
This 1400 square foot home was completely renovated in 2022. It provides 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with a huge living and kitchen area, great for hanging out. The garage or better known as the man cave is a great additional hang out space with a wood burning fire place. The additional 2 Trex decks create an outdoor living space great for grilling and relaxing. The property provides amble parking especially if your getaway requires trailers.

Please note that the kids room has a twin over full. The crib can be converted to a toddler bed with easy direction. There are two additional rv hookups for an additional $59 a night per hook up. We allow pets but our pet fee is $150 for the stay no matter the length of stay and we only allow 2 pets at a time. Additional pets can stay for a $50 per night fee with a max of 4 pets per stay.

Located right on the banks of the famous trout stream, Silver Creek, this cabin is perfect for a family, a party of adults and any outdoor enthusiasts. There is plenty of fishing near-by on both Silver Creek and the Big Wood River. Also, Sun Valley is just a 35 minute drive away. Plenty of wild-life watching, hiking, biking and shopping opportunities surround this area.

The space
Besides being located on the banks of Silver Creek, it is also surrounded by a working farm and ranch operation. You will have the opportunity to see our cattle operation, visit with the sheep and llamas, and explore the amazing history of the Picabo area.

NOTE: While this cabin is located right on Silver Creek, guests are NOT allowed to use the river for fishing, swimming or boating as this would disrupt the fishing experience for others. There is a great swimming hole just over a mile away, though.

Please note that the sections of water surrounded by our private ground are not open for fishing. These areas are reserved for Fishing Club members. This includes the river-front directly outside this cabin.

Guests that violate this "NO FISHING" rule will be asked to leave our property with NO REFUND.

We also operate a fly-shop guiding and outfitting business called "The Picabo Angler" where you can rent or purchase equipment and get expert advice for your fishing adventure. There is also a blog on the website that is updated regularly with fishing advice and information. You get access to the entire house during your stay.

Please note that while this cabin is located on Silver Creek, fishing access on the private sections of the Purdy Ranch is NOT included. This includes the river-front next to this cabin.

However, there is lots of great fishing on other sections of Silver Creek, the Big Wood, Magic Reservoir, etc.

Other things to note
Your cabin is located by one of our hay fields. If your timing is just right (or wrong!) you might get awaken by our harvesting operation. This only happens 3-times per year, but you might get lucky!
