All completely hand built by a skilled craftsman who gathered all the logs, rocks,
burley posts, railing, etc. As soon as you arrive here you feel your self just relax! The place is perfect for hiking, skiing, mountain climbing, art retreats, fishing getaways, or just kicking back on the porch with a good book and the sound of the babbling brook to lull you into complete relaxation. Neighbors are tucked away, with only one family living further up the road, and a few below, keeps this place nice and quiet! Yet you're only 15 minutes away from Afton for supplies.

The main floor of this cabin includes 1 den/bedroom with a queen size bed and, a bathroom with tile shower, kitchen with a new refrigerator, a cute dinning nook, large living/dinning room with a wood burning fireplace. Upstairs loft includes 2 queen size beds. Down stairs is a large bedroom with a king size bed, a walk out to the lower covered patio, full bath, laundry, and a built in sauna room. There is a large covered porch around 3 sides of the main level, overlooking a small year round creek, and the surrounding woods. Also on the porch, is a new propane Barbecue. The home sits on 77+ secluded acres, bordering National Forest. All types of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, woodchucks, deer, and sometimes even an Elk or Moose will pass though. The log home provides an excellent vacation retreat for fishing, rafting, kayaking, hiking, golfing, painting, hunting and/or just relaxing on the covered porches.

All the beds are new with all new linens, The cabin is decorated with original art
work, Hand made furniture, a small sound system, a TV with DVD, and Netflix,
complete kitchen, with all new silverware, coffee pots, waffle iron, etc. All windows are screened, and an old fashioned screen door on the front.

It feels like you are completely in the woods/mountains but are only 4.5 miles out of town, just minutes to downtown. The cabin is lovely, comfy, cozy, rustic, and unique. The craftsmanship of the woodworking in the cabin is amazing! There is plenty of space with the three levels for privacy and an open living and kitchen space for gathering. Wyoming is full of wide-open spaces, so why not stay in home with plenty of space for everyone? This home is set on just under 5 acres of well taken care of property with lots of yard for the kids (even the ones young-at-heart) to run around and has a creek out back. With ample parking, bring your snowmobiles to enjoy the trails or have your family join without worrying about where to park. The house is beautifully decorated with updated furniture and finishes to add to your Wyoming vacation.

Enjoy your vacation with great wifi, Smart TV's, and easy access to the town Afton. Come in the summer to play in the mountains in the sunshine or spend winter days snowmobiling, skiing, and most all other outdoor activities. This is the perfect home for large families or big groups wanting to hang out together without being on top of each other. You should also keep your cameras (phones) charged and on hand as you are likely to see the area wildlife passing through.

This home sleeps 14 comfortably in 9 beds and has 2 living areas, one with a foosball table, to allow for spreading out for TV watching and having a peaceful conversation if TV or foosball competition is't on your daily agenda.

In the kitchen you have all the things you need to prepare meals at home. There are 2 ovens and 5-burner gas range to cook for the family and friends and with counter seating around the island and an enormous dining table, it's easy to include everyone in one area. There is an additional table in the TV room for playing board or card games and can be used for dining as well.

Each bed is outfitted with a comfortable mattress and fluffy pillows for heavenly rest after a hard day of playing. There are 3 king beds, 2 queens, and 2 twin trundle beds. Bringing all your gear and your vacation wardrobe won't be a problem with lots of storage places for all.

Between 2 full bathrooms, you can choose a walk-in shower or a stand alone tub to wash away the dirt from whatever adventure you chose that day. There is a half bath to take care of the spur-of-the-moment nature calls too. People are not all that needs washing! Take care of your fun laden clothing in the laundry room to travel home without the dirty clothes bag.

Don't forget the expansive patio with fire pit for evening sing alongs, roasting marshmallows or dancing under the stars. Outdoor life is the best (winter too!) and weather permitting, take in some fresh air. The creek behind the house boasts clear, cool water and is a great place for kids to try their hand at fishing. The upper deck is perfect for stargazing or sipping on your favorite beverage.

There is so much to do in the area you may not be home during the day, but you'll be happy to come back to your fabulous vacation rental to relax and recharge for more!

Entire home is accessible to guests with the exception of a few locked closets saved for the owners.

Small rustic cabin on a quite lane just north of Afton WY. It’s at the front of our 10 acre property with one bedroom with queen size bed. Living room has a sofa sleeper. The bathroom is small, with a shower (no tub)
Large flat screen TV with Netflix, Amazon prime, Sling TV and DVDs provided. The cabin also has high speed wifi. Dining table and dishes are provided.

This log cabin home is conveniently located near Highway 89 in beautiful Star Valley Wyoming. You will be within a mile of downtown Afton, forest access, Afton's Johnny Miller golf course, and the Star Valley Wyoming LDS Temple. Whether you are planning a trip for horse back riding, fishing, hiking, or snowmobiling, our cabin is a perfect match. We are located on several acres with private parking suited for your ATV or horse trailers. We even have a pasture for your horse!

Guest access
You have access to the house and yard. We have horses and cattle in the surrounding fields and ask that you do not enter their fields without one of us present. They are extremely friendly and well mannered. That being said, they are still animals and can be unpredictable. If you are traveling with horses and tell us in your application, we will provide a space for them.
