We have updated the cabin in 2021. This historic hand-hewn Log Studio Cabin Rental nestled in a 5 acre organic cherry orchard with outstanding Flathead Lake views. Fully restored with antique furnishings. The cabin is located 15 miles south of Bigfork. The cabin is not located on the water, but lake access is conveniently located about 1/2 mile away at the beautiful Yellow Bay State Park. Designed for 2 people, this 400 square foot log cabin rental has a queen log bed.

The great Covered Porch has rustic log posts that frame the incredible Flathead Lake and Wild Horse Island views. It is a short drive to the Yellow Bay State Park, public beach and boat ramp. Peaceful and private in the Flathead Valley of Northwest Montana.

Built in 1932, this log cabin was hand hewn from trees taken to clear the surrounding cherry orchards. Built as a homesteader's cabin when the east lake shore was a very remote location with few families living at Yellow Bay, and the only access was via a 2-track dirt road.

The cabin has been completely restored, creating a warm cozy retreat with the charm of a by-gone era. Retaining the original logs, floors, windows and aged patina were very important, while adding all the modern amenities one would expect.

The cabin has a queen size log bed, couch (not pullout) and wood stove. Fully equipped kitchen & bath, and a covered porch with gas barbecue overlooking Flathead Lake. There is no tv or phone, which suits most guests just fine. We now have high speed STARLINK WIFI, and cell service is available.

Upstairs features vaulted ceilings with timber beams. Main livingroom, kitchen and dining for 4 are upstairs as well as the bathroom/shower. The balcony overlooks a small pond and fish hatchery that houses Westslope Cutthroat trout during spawning season. Upstairs bedroom has a king size bed with vanity sink and large closet.

Bedroom on lower level has a queen size bed, full size couch and television. There is also a cozy reading nook on the lower level as well as a washer and dryer.

Accommodations are on 160 acres of private land with a creek and walking trails just outside the door. Surrounding area is tribal wilderness.

We live in the main house 1/8 mile away and work from home so are available to answer questions or offer assistance at anytime.

We have been off the grid for over 25 years. The hydroelectric generator provides power for three houses so there are a few guidelines regarding use of the high power consumption utilities (oven and dryer).

During the winter months we do our best to maintain the road but do recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Please note: It is very important to me that your stay is comfortable, so there are a few things I'd like you to know:

The driveway is steep and it's dirt, but easily accessible Spring through Fall in most vehicles. 4WD/AWD, GOOD TIRES, AND A SOLID SENSE OF ADVENTURE ARE A MUST DURING WINTER CONDITIONS (which can start as early as October and last through March.) While I do my very best to make sure the driveway is clear and the house is accessible, there are times when Mother Nature will win the battle. Many guests have parked at the landing area halfway up and have enjoyed hiking in the second half (a few hundred yards). Or, you may have to park on the side of the road at the bottom of the hill and hike in a bit further. Gotta love Montana. ;-)

There is a short, steep uphill walk (takes about a minute) on a trail from the parking area to the house. There is a short staircase to the bathroom and a full staircase to the loft.

Television apps include Netflix and Pandora. You may access other apps with your own account.

The sauna is available September 1st - June 30th. The sauna is closed July and August.

Nature House is the perfect place for solo travelers and couples, but can accommodate up to 4 people. While I adore young children, Nature House is really the ultimate "grown up" and children are not allowed.

The luxurious shower and tub made us feel very spoiled. And it had the best stocked kitchen that I have ever experienced in a rental property (knives, cutting boards, pots, pans, TONS of spices, and stocked with several snacks). The host did an amazing job putting together a space that felt rejuvenating and relaxing. State park is down the road and allowed us to enjoy the lake. Multiple restaurants close by. Tons of cherry orchards and stands. So it is peaceful, but has many options for eating and activities nearby. I would not hesitate to stay again!"

The host family sells fresh eggs, milk and butter if you are into that. They are a dream. They even shuttled us down to the paradise boat dock when we floated the Clark Fork. We couldn’t get into Quinns for as many days as we wanted to, so we booked here (2 mikes down the road) and just did a couple day passes to the springs. There was plenty to do around the location and The town of Plains has some shopping and an ice cream shop about 10 min away. We feel lucky to have found Bridger and Annie and their adorable boys. Weather you are in town for a fishing trip, on your way into Glacier National Park, overflow for Quinns Hot springs, or just looking for a great value retreat, I’d highly recommend this family farm glamping experience."

Come enjoy this gorgeous, peaceful A-frame log cabin nestled on the Ski-Doo Bay side of Finley Point. This stunning, premier bay on the southeast shore of Flathead Lake boasts spectacular views of the Mission Mountains and offers a great opportunity for water sports in a breathtaking, quiet cove.

Feel free to keep your boat at our newly surfaced private dock, which features a boat lift with a 6,000-pound capacity and is just steps away from the cabin. Additional deposit and signed waiver are required to use the boat lift. Swim, fish, or relax on the dock, cement breakwater, or dock-side patio. S'mores await at the firepit and the new landscaping makes lake access a breeze.

Treat yourself to a magnificent sunrise or infinite star gazing over the Mission Mountains from our spacious, two-level deck, just off the main floor living space. The lake views will take your breath away! The deck has plenty of seating on comfortable, all-weather furniture, as well as a propane grill, and an outdoor heater for a cooler, summer evening. If you need a little shade, just roll out the retractable awning.

Our three-level home is modern, clean, and comfy. It features hardwood floors on the main floor and in the loft. The living room looks right out at the lake and has a decorative rock fireplace. If you’re not up for breakfast outside, you can opt for either the small table or the eat-in breakfast counter. The small galley kitchen is both functional and modern. It has a dishwasher, gorgeous cast-iron electric stove (new but made to look antique), refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, crockpot, and all the staples.

The main floor also has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed. The bathroom on this level has a jetted tub, as well as a shower. Upstairs, the spacious loft features a king-sized bed, facing a wall of windows with unending lake and mountain views, not to mention a cozy reading nook.

Consider sending the kids down to the fully furnished basement, which stays cool all day and all night in the summer. The basement has one room with a double bed. While the room functions as a bedroom, it does not have a door or an egress window. The basement living area has two sets of twin bunk beds, a 42-inch television, and lots of space for games and puzzles. The basement also has a second bathroom with a shower. The utility room includes a full-sized washer and dryer, as well as a second refrigerator, which is perfect for all your summer drinks!

- "The views from the house were stunning! We were able to drop the waverunners into the water and keep them at the dock all week. The house was clean and accommodating, although the bedrooms and bathrooms were small. The king bed is in the loft, so don't expect privacy and it's very bright in the mornings and loud if you have people that stay up late, wondering ear plugs and eye mask. Also, the pillows on the king bed were flat and dingey. The kids said they loved their beds/pillows though. The kitchen was well stocked, but small. No kitchen table, just a counter and small breakfast nook. The AC units worked great. TV in the main living room was really small. The shared gravel driveway was a bit tight with the trailer, but we made it work. Overall, the stay was great, and none of this bothered us too much because we spent most of our time on the dock or on the lake. We enjoyed the sereneness of the lake and the deer that would frequentl the property."

Cozy & quiet, countryside cabin with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, custom woodwork throughout, and stunning views in every direction. Centrally located in the Mission Valley outside of St. Ignatius, MT. 40 mins from Missoula, 35 mins from Flathead Lake, and 2 hrs from Glacier National Park. Bison View Cabin has 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed, 1 full bed) and a twin XL day bed in the living room. An additional extra-thick floor mattress and pillows are available upon request. There is one full bathroom and an extra lavatory in the laundry room, which also has a washer, dryer, and a utility sink. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basic necessities (please see the amenities section for details). The cabin is heated by electric heat or new, high-efficiency wood-burning stove that has an eco-friendly re-burning system to minimize air pollution. Firewood is provided. The garage is NOT included with this rental, but the driveway has ample parking for up to three vehicles. The cabin does not have a TV, air conditioning, or a dishwasher. Cabin stays naturally cool in summer months as it has a white roof. The three porches have gorgeous views of the Mission Mountains, the CSKT Bison Range, and Mission Creek and are perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine! Guests are also welcome to use the firepit in the gravel next to the porch—we recommend making s'mores while you watch the sunset & alpine glow on the mountains! You will notice that the cabin is filled with unique, custom woodwork, which has been carefully handcrafted by the owner over the past several years with specialty lumber from across western Montana! For this reason, we do NOT allow any unauthorized pets in the cabin. Please carefully read the House Rules. (unauthorized pet fee of $500) We frequently see deer and a wide variety of birds in the yards and fields adjacent to the cabin. Grizzly and black bears are sometimes seen following the creek in the field during the summer months. Elk bugling on the CSKT Bison Range a few miles away are sometimes heard from the property during the rut in the fall. There may be horses or cows in the fields adjacent to the cabin during the warmer months. The nearest grocery store, post office, gas station, etc. are in the town of St. Ignatius, about 6 minutes from the cabin. This is a rural area, but there are so many things to do! Please visit the Neighborhood Highlights section and Host Guidebook to learn more about the Mission Valley and surrounding areas. Glacier National Park is a beautiful 2-hour drive around Flathead Lake. Guests often may a day trip from BVC. Make sure to do your homework, many areas of GNP now require reservations PLUS a ticket for entrance.

Located 1 hour north of Missoula and 1.5 hours south of Kalispell. Very quiet spot yet only 5 minutes from the town of Ronan.

The cabin is located in the corner of our 10 acre property. It has its own road.

The space is perfect for a couples retreat. You can sit on the patio and see the beautiful Mission Mountain range. Our home is also located on the property, however the cabin is on the edge of the property so it feels very private. To be respectful to our neighbors and keep the traffic volume at a minimum we ask that if you are going to have more than two guests and more than one car you please let us know in advance.

You’ll need a car.... no Uber or taxis around!

We have a friendly springer spaniel named Porter who might come over and say “hi”! There is also the neighbor dog (a black lab) named Ray who thinks she is a part of the welcome committee , lol! Feel free to say hi to her and send her home.

Because the cabin is only 500 square feet we cannot accommodate wedding groups. We also ask that if you are going to have more than two people

The space
The Cheff Ranch is situated in a picture-perfect mountainside setting, overlooking the breathtaking Mission Valley, where we run cattle and raise our Tennessee Walker studs and 90 head of horses on 160 stunning acres. Guests can choose to take part a horseback ride by making a reservation, or embark on an adventure to explore the beautiful surroundings our ranch and western Montana has to offer, or go for a dip in our lake.

Once you arrive, you’ll enjoy accommodations in one of our guest cabins and you’ll experience the first-rate hospitality that the Cheff Ranch has to offer. We do our best to make you feel at home.

And for those days when taking it easy is the goal, you can breathe in some fresh mountain air and the scent of fresh pine and fir trees as you relax on the ranch lawn. The Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge is just below us in the valley, where you can enjoy ample opportunities for fishing and bird-watching.

We are a nature and history lover’s paradise. Minutes away we have Flathead Lake (the largest freshwater lake in the Western United States), the National Bison Range, Ninepipe Museum of Early Montana and the Jesuit Mission in St. Ignatius. Just a short, two-hour drive away are Glacier National Park and Hungry Horse Dam, both of which are well worth the trip.

The cabins are one bedroom with a queen size bed and a futon in the living room that makes out to a double bed . There is a complete small kitchen and a bathroom and a picnic table and BBQ on the deck that overlooks the valley. We do also have trail rides that they can schedule when they arrive or before it is $80 per person for a 2 hour guided ride. The rides are available from middle of May through Sept. 10th. The cabin guest are welcome to walk around the Ranch or swim in our small lake. There are trails around the Ranch that guests are welcome to walk on. If they are going to go on a hike or a longer ride then 2 hours they need to purchase a Tribal recreation permit in the local Sporting Goods Store.

Other things to note
They will need to stop at a grocery store either before they arrive or go into the local grocery store to stock up for their stay. Check in time is 3 pm and check out is at 11 am.

The Lake View Lodge Cabin is located on Finley Point nestled amidst towering pines and wildlife. It offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The one room cabin features rustic charm with comfort. Queen size bed, electricity, limited internet, a food prep area with few amenities, a BBQ but no running water and a full-size bathroom across in the garage. The porch provides an ideal spot for morning coffee or evening stargazing. The state park beach is a 5-minute walk.

The space
The cabin’s simple, sturdy wooden structure features a small porch, ideal for enjoying the serene outdoors.

Inside, the cabin is designed for efficient use of space. A queen size bed tucked in the corner allows ample space inside the cabin for all your other needs for the rest of you stay while the kitchenette is equipped with a small sink, drinking water, coffee and necessary plates and utensils with open shelving for easy storage.
A large window floods the space with natural light and provide stunning views of the surrounding landscape, making this cabin a peaceful and inviting escape.
You have an outside BBQ with private sitting area. For your bathroom needs use the full bathroom across the driveway in the garage. Keeping the setup simple and minimal. Wi-Fi is available outside the cabin.

With Flathead Lake being the biggest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi you have endless water activates at your doorstep. You can bring your own boat as we have room to park and use the boat ramp right at Finely Point State Park for water access. It is centrally located between Missoula and Kalispell and not far from the Whitefish Ski Resort, the artistic community in Bigfork, the National Bison Range, and Glacier Park, to mention a few.

This family friendly cabin is located in the beautiful Mission Valley - midway between Kalispell and Missoula - at the base of North Crow Canyon. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer and climate control. One small bedroom with a queen bed downstairs and a loft with a second queen bed, a twin bed and a small sitting area upstairs provide ample sleeping space. A living area downstairs completes the space.

*NO PETS AND NO SMOKING.*

The space
The cabin is small and cozy. It is located in front of our home so you will have access to both the cabin grounds and ours. At the moment, we have two horses (the paint is named Ellie, the other is Hazel), a cow (Callie) and her sweet little bull calf (Zeus) roaming our pastures. You are welcome to pet them through the fences anytime. If you would like to enter the pastures for more direct access, or to splash in the creek, please ask first. For safety reasons, we must accompany you but we are happy to do so. On a clear day, you can see mountains in every direction and the Town of Ronan in the valley just below us.

You will have private access to the entire cabin during your stay.

Other things to note
There is a walking trail just on the other side of the canal (the waterway you cross on the bridge as you approach the cabin). If you choose to stroll this trail, or if you're out at the creek, especially early or late in the day, be bear and mountain lion aware. We have LOTS of bears in the area, both black and grizzly. Mountain lions frequent the area also.

Make dinner together in the full-size kitchen, grill on the patio (propane grill provided), or visit a local restaurant.

A balcony overlooks a small pond and fish hatchery which houses Westslope Cutthroat trout during the spawning season.

Accommodations are on 160 acres of private land with a creek and walking trails just outside the door. Surrounding area is tribal wilderness.

Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations.

We have been off the grid for over 30 years. The hydroelectric generator provides power for three houses so there are a few guidelines regarding use of the high power consumption utilities (oven and dryer).

During the winter months we do our best to maintain the road but recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Historic hand-hewn Log Studio Cabin Rental nestled in a 5 acre organic cherry orchard with outstanding Flathead Lake views. The cabin is located 15 miles south of Bigfork. Designed for 2 people, this 400 square foot log cabin rental has a queen size log bed and a fold down couch. Fully equipped kitchen & bath with all pots and pans and linens, and gas BBQ. Great log cabin overlooking Flathead Lake. The cabin is not located on the water, but is conveniently located about 1/2 mile from the Yellow Bay State Park. This is the best least crowded beach around. Beautiful clear cold water for swimming. Picnic tables, boat ramp, shade trees, etc.

The sofa is a comfortable Lazy Boy brand sleeper. Shower is oversize with bench and 2 shower heads. "Mini kitchen" includes dishwasher and is equipped w/pots, pans, dishes etc. DISH TV & WiFi.

The space
Experience the Rocky Mountains of western Montana in this rustic log cabin in the Swan Valley. Enjoy magnificent views of the Swan Range of the Bob Marshall Wilderness to the east and Mission Mountains Wilderness to the west. The cabin overlooks a spring-fed wildlife pond and wetlands. The Swan River is a short walk through the property down a rustic nature trail.

Elk, native trout, great blue herons, frogs, deer, ducks, geese, and moose are among the frequent inhabitants.

Located in a region of dozens of pristine lakes, waterfalls, rivers, and mountain trails, there are ample opportunities for recreation.

This retreat is perfectly situated for wildlife viewing opportunities and the enjoyment of the outdoors. Holland Lake is six miles away you can take a short hike to a waterfall, enjoy canoeing or kayaking, go horseback riding and end the day at the historic Holland Lake Lodge for dinner or a drink.

Other outdoor opportunities include hikes to mountain lakes, fly-fishing the Swan River, mountain biking, huckleberry picking, cross country skiing, hunting, snow mobiling on the myriad of trails and roads on public lands in the region. For the more adventurous - excursions into the Bob Marshall and Mission Mountain wilderness areas.

A scenic drive 45 minutes to the north past beautiful Swan Lake brings you to Big Fork, a fun town on the edge of Flathead Lake with breweries, art galleries, boutiques, cafes, music and drama festivals, restaurants, and lake boat tours.

Just about 1.5 hours from the cabin to the north is Glacier National Park and Whitefish Ski Resort (Big Mountain). Twenty-five minutes to the south is Seeley Lake, where additional recreational opportunities such as waterskiing, birdwatching along a canoe trail, golfing, and holiday celebrations are available.

The master bedroom has a double log bed and private bathroom. There is another bedroom (bunked full-size and twin bed) and main bathroom upstairs, plus a carpeted basement room with a double bed, three twin beds a wood stove and TV.

Relax in the cozy living room with leather and log furniture under a vaulted ceiling or sit outside by the fire pit and gaze at the stars.

This cabin could sleep 3 if needed, we do have a cot or fold out roll away bed available. But we recommend 2 guests for the most comfort.

Guests can access the lake whenever they choose. The Lodge lounge and gazebo areas are available 7 am until 10pm. The Lounge also has a pool table and ping pong table, stereo and TV! WiFi is located in the Lodge.
We have a green house and free range chickens with a chicken coop that guests are welcome to explore by request.

The space
The space is perfect for a couples retreat. You can sit on the patio and see the beautiful Mission Mountain range. Our home is also located on the property, however the cabin is on the edge of the property so it feels very private. To be respectful to our neighbors and keep the traffic volume at a minimum we ask that if you are going to have more than two guests and more than one car you please let us know in advance.

The space
Bison View Cabin has 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed, 1 full bed) and a twin XL day bed in the living room. (3 beds total) An additional extra-thick floor mattress and pillows are available upon request. There is one full bathroom and an extra lavatory in the laundry room, which also has a washer, dryer, and a utility sink. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basic necessities (please see the amenities section for details). The cabin is heated by electric heat or new, high-efficiency wood-burning stove that has an eco-friendly re-burning system to minimize air pollution. Firewood is provided. The garage is NOT included with this rental, but the driveway has ample parking for up to three vehicles. The cabin does not have a TV, air conditioning, or a dishwasher. Cabin stays naturally cool in summer months as it has a white roof. Northern lights & star gazing are great from cabin if conditions are right. The Mission valley has a large deer population, you will see them in the cabin yard, please do not feed or attempt to pet them.

The three porches have gorgeous views of the Mission Mountains, the CSKT Bison Range, and Mission Creek and are perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine! Guests are also welcome to use the firepit in the gravel next to the porch—we recommend making s'mores while you watch the sunset & alpine glow on the mountains!

You will notice that the cabin is filled with unique, custom woodwork, which has been carefully handcrafted by the owner over the past several years with specialty lumber from across western Montana! For this reason, we do NOT allow any unauthorized pets in the cabin. Please carefully read rules before booking.

We frequently see deer and a wide variety of birds in the yards and fields adjacent to the cabin. Grizzly and black bears are sometimes seen following the creek in the field during the summer months. Elk bugling on the CSKT Bison Range a few miles away are sometimes heard from the property during the rut in the fall. There may be horses or cows in the fields adjacent to the cabin during the warmer months.

The nearest grocery store, post office, gas station, etc. are in the town of St. Ignatius, about 6 minutes from the cabin. This is a rural area, but there are so many things to do! The Montana Haus sleeps 8 people. There are 4 bedrooms & 2 1/2 baths. 2 bedrooms contain king sized beds, one bedroom has a full sized bed & one bedroom has a futon. All bedrooms are upstairs. Nestled in the woods just above Skidoo Bay , the A-frame has a front deck for coffee on the porch & a back patio with picnic table & propane grill for evening cookouts. Enjoy the solitude in the woods all day or use it as a home base for discovering the Flathead Valley.

Our home is a very unique vintage A-frame. Due to the inherent design of the structure THIS HOME IS NOT SUITABLE FOR SMALL CHILDREN AND MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH CERTAIN PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS. There are no sleeping accommodations on the main floor so all guests will have to climb the circular staircase. The third floor also has steep narrow stairs and the full size room has a narrow entry. If you or any of your guests are not active adults this home is not recommended, please see photos.
If you book a stay at The Montana Haus you are certifying that all guests are capable of safely managing the stairs.

Our A-frame cabin is equipped with AC mini split units on the main floor and both larger bedrooms on the second floor. You will enjoy the modern, highly efficient HVAC system during your rustic stay.
The third floor is equipped with fans and if needed opening the windows at night lets in a cool breeze.
During high heat days upper rooms will become warmer.

Drive a little further and make a day trip out of Glacier National Park, Whitefish, and Columbia Falls. Check out the galleries, theater, and restaurants in Bigfork… maybe book a sailboat cruise! Head just 8 miles South to Polson to stock up on supplies and grab a burger at Richwine’s Burgerville… locally owned and operated since 1962. Take in the spectacular scenery as you play a round of golf at Polson Bay Golf Course. And check out a couple of my favorite local restaurants: the East Shore Smokehouse and the Finley Point Grill are just down the street. Getting married? Nature House is only one mile from The Barn at Finley Point and is absolutely perfect for honeymooners. Nature House sits at the top of a two acre wooded hillside, and the entire house and the property below it is yours to enjoy. I often stay in the small cabin at the base of the property, but both homes are situated for maximum peace and privacy for all.

WINTERTIME GUESTS: You should plan on having 4WD/AWD and a solid sense of adventure! Depending on conditions, 4WD/AWD is a MUST if you want to make it up (and down!) the driveway via vehicle. I do the best I can to keep the driveway clear and the home accessible, but there are times when Mother Nature will win the battle. You may end up having to park at the first landing area halfway up the hill and hiking in a few hundred yards or on the side of the road at the very bottom of the hill and hiking in a bit further. That said, it is soooo peaceful and lovely in the winter and it's my favorite time of year at Nature House!

Other things to note
Please note: It is very important to me that your stay is comfortable, so there are a few things you should know.

The driveway is steep and it's dirt, but easily accessible Spring through Fall in most vehicles. 4WD/AWD AND A SOLID SENSE OF ADVENTURE ARE MUST IN WINTER CONDITIONS (which can start as early as October and last through March or April).

There is a short, steep uphill walk (takes just a minute or two) on a solar lighted trail from the parking area to the house. There is a short staircase to the bathroom and a full staircase to the loft.

Roku TV apps include Hulu Plus, Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and Pandora. You are welcome to access other apps with your own account.

Nature House is the perfect place for solo travelers and couples, but it can accommodate up to 4 people. While I adore young children, Nature House is really the ultimate "grown-up" retreat, and children are not allowed.

Regarding Pets: One well-behaved pet is allowed with pet fee. If your pet sheds heavily or is nervous in new situations, I kindly ask that you please consider another option for them. Pets are not allowed on any furniture including the beds, couch, and outdoor sectional. Please clean up after your pet and please do not allow them to chase the wildlife or run loose. Pets are not to be left unattended. If your plans have you out all day, ask me about adding dog walking services to your visit!

The space

The town of Bigfork is a picturesque and charming place. World class art galleries, fine restaurants, a 27-hole golf course, live theatre and unique shops can all be found within a quaint Western setting. Located near by, Glacier National Park, the Bob Marshall and the Swan Wilderness areas are full of wildlife and offer endless recreational opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Bigfork offers you and your family a part of the West that you will never forget. Many hiking trails are close by the property.

Winter opens up a whole new world of outdoor adventure across Montana’s diverse landscape. Flathead Valley's 2 ski resorts mean fewer people, shorter lift lines and a lot more untracked snow.

Swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, and site seeing are a few of the activities available for summer time fun.

Winter time fun includes 2 ski resorts. Cross country skiing available right out the door. Whitefish Mountain Resort has been one of America's favorite destinations for good times, good people and good snow since 1947. Rising above the historic railroad town of Whitefish, the resort has gained notoriety for its laid-back vibe, world-class skiing and spectacular summer recreation. Consistently ranked highly in SKI magazine's annual reader survey, it is just as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as it is for friendly. Blacktail Mountain is a friendly mountain perched above Flathead lake. Amazing views of Flathead Lake, light dry snow on north-facing slopes, great rates and excellent service will have you hooked!

Gaze out over the lake and mountains in this lovely vacation cabin near Rollins!

This home is on the western shore of Flathead Lake, with downtown Bighorn to the northeast. Hiking and biking trails wind their way through the area, so keep your camera handy and go exploring.

Pop in a DVD and relax, or log onto the WiFi and check the next day's weather. A well-equipped kitchen has everything you'll need to make a delicious meal, and there's a gas grill outside where you can prepare fresh-caught fish.

In addition to the bedroom with a queen bed, a loft holds two double beds where you can settle in for a good night's sleep. Four guests will love their time here, especially since there are one-and-a-half bathrooms to ensure that lines for the mirror are short.

Take the canoe out onto Flathead Lake and dangle a line to catch dinner, or experience the many outdoor adventures waiting for you in Glacier National Park. If you're into winter sports, make sure to set aside some time for skiing.
