Located 10 miles outside of Spearfish SD(on a minimal maintenance gravel road. There are washboards and it is dusty), in the heart of the Black Hills National Forest. This 1800 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bath log home is the perfect place to relax and enjoy all the Black Hills have to offer. This home can sleep 8 comfortably. Sit on the deck overlooking an open meadow that is home to many deer and other wildlife and enjoy the morning sunrise or our spectacular view of the sunset. Many marked walking trails within minutes of the property. The snowmobile and UTV trails are within a mile or two from the cabin, you can ride out from the cabin. If you are looking to cool off with a dip in the water, Iron Creek Lake is approximately 1.5 miles from the cabin. After dark settle in to view the spectacular showing of stars. With very little light pollution you have a birds eye view of the wonderful night sky.

It's a 3500 square foot modern cabin style home, with room for everyone! 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths, with enough beds for 8 people (two people per room). Enjoy a full kitchen complete with fridge, dishwasher, coffee pot, microwave, gas stove and a double oven. The large pergola patio off the kitchen offers great seating for visiting with the option of using a gas grill or Traeger grill for outdoor cooking. After a long day of adventures, you may also take advantage of the outdoor hot tub. Gather around one of two outdoor fire pits when the sun goes down. All 4 bedrooms are complete with all the bedding you will need for a cozy stay. Just off of the master bedroom is one of the full baths complete with a jacuzzi tub for full serenity. This home is fully furnished through out and equipped with a washer and dryer for your stay. Snuggle into the loft area in a recliner and enjoy a movie on the large flat screen TV. If TV isn't your thing, the downstairs living area offers beautiful views out the large front windows. This home is fully heated and air conditioned to make you comfortable no matter what! Attached to the home is an oversized 2 stall garage to house any prized possessions (ATV's, motorcycles, vehicles) you may bring along! One stall opens on both ends for easy exiting, and all doors have operating door openers. There is also access to water and drains in the garage, should you need to wash your motorcycle, car or truck. If horses or other livestock tag along on your vacation there is a barn with stalls, feeders, and an automatic waterer to keep your four legged friends comfortable! They may even roam the 40 acre lot to find their favorite spot! Live stock is allowed, however, no indoor animals please. Also available on the property, for an additional fee, is one full RV hookup, complete with water, sewer and 50 amp electricity.

If you want peace and quiet, this will fit the bill. We stayed for seven days. We saw whitetails about every morning and evening and cows in the fields. The house was very clean and stocked with what you would expect for a temporary stay. Once you turn off the paved road, there is a few miles of dirt road, however the road is well maintained. We rode motorcycles on the dirt road with no problems-maybe a brand new rider may find it a little challenging, but the road is hard packed and not really an issue. The garage is big enough for vehicles or motorcycles, the kitchen is big and bedrooms provide ample space. Most appliances are new and the washer and dryer worked great. One room on the main level has a bathroom, shower and sink in the same room, but they are separate rooms within the room, so one person can shower, while another can use the sink or bathroom--a nice plus when there are multiple people trying to get ready at the same time. The owner was very attentive to a few minor issues and questions we had. The house is just west of Spearfish a few miles and a Walmart is only a few miles away--we do not have any complaints and would recommend this place, particularly if you have a group of five or more."

Updates: No more sofa sleeper...We now have a real bed! We also added a portable A/C unit to keep the temperature nice and cool in the summer, as well as window shades for extra privacy at night. You will also enjoy more seating on the expansive deck overlooking the Hilltop filled with Pine, Aspen and rock formations. Finally, we have wifi! So if you want to stay connected on social media, stream a show on our Roku TV, or just do some online shopping during your vacation, you can!

We also have a love seat glider on the deck to relax to the views, as well as a fire pit and BBQ to enjoy some out door cooking and gazing at the stars.

This cabin finished in September of 2023 is the picture of Black Hills Living. With stunning views of the Spearfish Valley, this secluded home is only minutes away from Spearfish, Deadwood, and Sturgis. With easy, quick access to I-90 and downtown Spearfish, you can enjoy the serenity of the Black Hills without the hassle of being a long way from town. Situated on five forested acres and a quiet road, you will regularly see wildlife from the massive deck, including deer, turkeys, and wild birds.

The newly built single-story cabin features three beds (1 King and 2 Queen) and two full-size bathrooms. The large master suite features a private bathroom with a large, low-entry rainfall shower. Each Queen bed is located ina private bedroom. The second bathroom includes a shower/bath. The large deck on the front of the house overlooks Spearfish Valley and is complete with a grill and fire table.

The entire home and wooded property. The detached garage is locked and not available at this time.

The home is on a well-maintained gravel road. Once you turn into the area, you must drive on approximately 1/3 Mile of gravel roads. The parking area is large enough to accommodate multiple vehicles or trailers.

The cabin is an 300sf open room with a cozy feel. There is a queen size bed with a quality mattress, fireplace and Roku tv. Kitchenette, small dining area, full shower & toilet. Beautiful craftsmanship and large windows throughout to enjoy the serene surroundings. We have added more seating to the expansive deck that overlooks the hillside with pine and aspen trees and amazing rock formations.

Our cabin now has air conditioning to keep you cool in the summer months, and shades for privacy at night. There is a full dresser for your clothes as well as a chest which can store other items that you may have brought along.

Enjoy the deck with view galore! With a love seat glider, Adirondack chairs, a BBQ Grill & Fire Pit. Everything you need to relax and enjoy!

Welcome to Rimrock Lodge! This beautiful Cabin was originally built in the early 1900's. While it still has some of the original character like the log doors and wood exterior it has been tastefully updated to give all of the modern comforts.

Featured in 605 magazine, this Scandinavian log home was originally built in 1890 and has been remodeled with Black Hills pine beetle floors and reclaimed barn wood trim. Centrally located, within a block walking distance to 3 local restaurants, 2 blocks from spearfish creek bike path, 2 miles from spearfish canyon and within 60 miles of attractions such as Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Devils Tower and many more. This cabin has a private entrance, bathroom, kitchen and parking.

The space
Recently renovated with a touch of modern Nordic flare, this cabin includes; chair, couch (pulls out into a twin hideaway bed), queen size bed, breakfast table, stove top, microwave, mini fridge, internet tv, bathroom and shower. It also has a large loft area with a blow up mattress and cot.

Guest access
Guests will have full access to cabin 2. The deck and backyard can be accessed anytime by guests.

Coyote Ridge Lodge is a rustic, secluded, peaceful cabin and bunkhouse, nestled on 10 sunny acres of oak, aspen and pine forest halfway between Spearfish and Deadwood. Includes spacious deck, large grassy meadow and picnic area beside a spring creek.

The space
This is not your typical modern vacation home. The naturally weathered cabin was hand built in the 1970's using locally harvested rough lumber, homemade windows and one-of-a-kind walnut flooring. The main house has all the comforts of home: sleeps 6 with an upstairs loft with queen bed plus an open-design downstairs sleeping/TV room with a queen bed and futon (this room is a common space and has limited privacy; see "back bedroom" photos). Back bedroom also has a new 55-inch TV with free access to Netflix, HBO and Amazon Prime.
The “bunkhouse," a small cabin just steps from the main house, has two sleeping rooms with a full-size futon bed downstairs and bunk bed (2 twins) upstairs. The bunkhouse has no bathroom but it's only 20 feet to the half bath in the big house.
The great room in the big house has a fully equipped corner kitchen and large bay windows for beautiful, wide-angle views of the woods and the canyon. The dining table expands to seat ten and guests can enjoy outdoor meals on the spacious deck. A full size desk in one corner of the great room provides an excellent work space.
The cabin sits on a sunny, south-facing, wooded hillside at the end of a quarter-mile gravel driveway. There's not another house in sight. But you are likely to see deer, turkey and other wildlife, and coyotes often sing their wild, unforgettable song on the ridge at night.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire main house, the bunkhouse, and ten acres of oak, aspen and ponderosa pine woods. Property also includes a large grassy meadow and a picnic table beside the creek (seasonal; the creek usually dries up in August).

Other things to note
Coyote Ridge Lodge is nestled in beautiful Maitland canyon, which sometimes interferes with phone reception. However cell phone service in the cabin is good (we have a signal booster) with only occasional interruptions. There is a land-line phone, good wifi signal, and cable TV.
The cabin has an "open" design. There are no bedrooms with doors, although the loft and the bunkhouse rooms are relatively private. Multiple families or groups wanting privacy should look at the bedroom photos carefully.
The spring creek sometimes dries up in July or August.
Because of forest fire risk no outdoor fires allowed.

You'll absolutely love this location and it's proximity to Downtown Spearfish. With so many great restaurants, and access to Black Hills attractions, it's a great place to spread out and enjoy a spacious area on fully paved roads and close to everything!

Welcome to our new favorite vacation townhome near the heart of Spearfish and close to many restaurants, festivals, breweries and more. Less than a mile from the Main Street in Spearfish, you could easily walk or ride a bike down to do many fun local attractions. You're also less than 1/2 miles from Black Hills State University for easy proximity to the University and other events like Basketball, Football, and other attractions. You're also just an hour away from the beautiful Devils Tower National Park!

Inside you're greeted with an open living/dining/kitchen area that's great for entertaining and gathering together with your family and friends. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for your vacation enjoyment. There's a big-screen TV in the living room and the kitchen walks out onto the patio with a seating area. There's one full bedroom on the main level with an attached bathroom, and a half bathroom off the kitchen. Upstairs you'll enjoy a seating area with a table, that can be converted to a bumper pool table. There's 3 more bedrooms on the upper level as well. There's also a 2 stall garage great for your vehicles, a paved driveway, and street parking available.

If you’re planning to ride your snowmobiles/ATV’s on the local trail system, a permit is required from the Black Hills National Forest. We'd be happy to direct you where to purchase them!

The space
The cabin is an 300sf open room with a cozy feel. There is a queen size bed with a quality mattress, fireplace and Roku tv. Kitchenette, small dining area, full shower & toilet. Beautiful craftsmanship and large windows throughout to enjoy the serene surroundings. We have added more seating to the expansive deck that overlooks the hillside with pine and aspen trees and amazing rock formations.

Our cabin now has air conditioning to keep you cool in the summer months, and shades for privacy at night. There is a full dresser for your clothes as well as a chest which can store other items that you may have brought along.

Enjoy the deck with view galore! With a love seat glider, Adirondack chairs, a BBQ Grill & Fire Pit. Everything you need to relax and enjoy!

The guesthouse is located above the large garage; it's at the top of a flight of stairs. There's a small deck at the top with a grill and patio chairs.

Outside, sit in Adirondack chairs around a gas fire pit. You have outdoor, grassy areas around the side and back of the guesthouse to relax in.

These spaces are for you alone. We live on the property, but typically you'll only see us if we happen to be walking to cars at the same time.
