The Cabin-in-the-Vines is set in the heart of an 8-acre vineyard in an idyllic corner of rural Suffolk. There is just one Cabin, a quiet, cosy space, perfectly suited for two people to unwind and relax, but able to accommodate three people comfortably. It is shaped like a giant half wine barrel, made of wood externally & internally. Insulation is Welsh sheep’s wool and indeed the Cabin was designed and manufactured by hand in Wales. It is off-grid, powered by state of the art solar panels with energy stored in batteries which can be monitored from within the Cabin.

The Cabin has a cosy bedroom with a double bed. The split doors are designed so that the view of the vines can be enjoyed from the bedroom. Some storage and hanging space is provided. The bedroom window gives a view of the unfettered night sky, and no light pollution here, so make the most of stargazing during your stay.

A separate shower room provides a shower cubicle with thermostatically controlled shower, WC, washbasin, and heated towel rail. Eco-friendly hand soap, and body wash (shower gel), are provided.

The open plan living area has a kitchen off to one side, with gas oven and hob, fridge, sink and drainer. The kitchen cabinets contain crockery, cutlery, a selection of cooking pans and utensils, an integral waste-bin, and eco-friendly cleaning materials. Washing up is a real pleasure enjoying the view out of the window!

Off to the other side of the main living area is a comfy daybed/sofa with storage drawers underneath, able to sleep one adult or child, which faces a wall-mounted TV with DVD player and radio. The living space also includes a dining table and chairs by the french doors, which open to give a relaxing view of the vineyard while you eat.

Temperature-controlled heating also makes the Cabin ideal for 12 months of the year!

We accept one well-behaved dog for £20 extra per stay or 2 dogs for £30. Please message us if you are bringing more than one dog.

There are touches of luxury and no broadband to disturb your peace… the perfect romantic getaway.

A track runs alongside the field of vines up towards the Cabin. Guests can park along this track, from whence it is a sort walk to the Cabin. If you choose to park in the vineyard car park (over the bridge), there is a 100m walk from the car park to the Cabin; a wheelbarrow is provided to help carry your luggage. There are steps leading up to the door of the cabin. The cabin is quite secluded and there are no street lights so, if possible, try and arrive in daylight. If not, remember to bring a torch!

Check-in time 3 pm-7 pm (unless by prior arrangement). Check-out at 10.30 am.

Should you wish to leave the Vineyard (!), this part of Suffolk is the Waveney Valley and beautiful country for walking/cycling/relaxing. There are two pubs within walking distance. You are a 10 minute car ride from the market town of Halesworth which is a remarkable town, boasting a Wednesday market, fine dining, alfresco cafés, vintage and antique shops, an art gallery, and The Cut arts centre with a varied programme of exhibitions and entertainment.
10 miles further east, the Latitude venue, Southwold and Walberswick with their ‘yesterday’ charm are easily accessible. Route 1 Cycleway is close by and Beccles and Bungay are both worth exploring.
Oulton Broad - gateway to The Broads National Park - is 40 minutes north, while Snape Maltings, the world-famous concert hall and arts centre, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is 32 minutes south, with the pretty coastal town of Aldeburgh just a further 11 minutes east of Snape.

Getting around - Halesworth is on the main Ipswich to Lowestoft train line, with connections from Ipswich to London, and from Lowestoft to Norwich. Should you wish to book a taxi or Uber to, for example, Latitude, do book in advance. There is a bus from Halesworth to Southwold. An OS Map or app is useful if considering cycle/walking exploration.

Lovely smell of wood, plenty of space, well-placed velux windows to the skies, and I like that the bedroom had doors, making the place feel like a little home rather than a glamping pod. It felt magical to wake up on a warm summer's day and look over the dew-laden grass and grapevines. So peaceful. Just the sounds of nature and their rich habitat. A highlight of my stay was witnessing a glow worm one evening. Although the cabin is rural and fairly remote I felt safe. Lovely walks close by, and the 45 min walk into local Harleston to pick up some milk and croissants (I treated myself to an extra day) from the delis there was very pleasant. Adrian was a kind and welcoming host, and I'd happily stay at the cabin again :)"

A separate room with two single beds separates the living room area, with a sofa bed which can fit two people, but comfortable sleeps one person. It is fully equipped, with a television and internet, and the kitchenette includes a microwave, toaster, kettle, and fridge, with all the cutlery and utensils you need.

Firstly, there are communal washing facilities, which consists of a washing machine, clotheshorse and a large sink. Additionally, the guests are encouraged to enjoy the vast garden which surrounds the lodge and are welcome to bring their dogs, at an additional charge of £10 payable in cash to the housekeeper. However, please be aware that there is a working farm next-door, which is not part of the lodge, so we kindly ask the guests not to enter this property out of respect for the farmer.

This superior Log Cabin is located on Wideham Farm. We also host an Adults-only Caravan Park and also welcome horse owners with the horses for holidays. We are best known for being a quiet location where people can relax and enjoy Kings Forest or explore the local area.

The Viking Hutte--complete with roof top vulture keeping a keen eye on the neighbours--is a dual purpose building in the grounds of our main house. One wing of the Hutte is a music studio/office, the other a large bedroom with comfortable kingsize bed. Guests have sole use of bedroom, large shower room, eat-in foyer, kitchenette and patio. Main door into foyer occasionally used by composer husband for studio access but he's only a little chap and not noisy and rarely there when you are.
The space
We live in the main house and share the drive. Hutte kitchenette has a fridge and microwave but no hob. I provide Welcome Snack Basket plus good quality bread, granola, yogurt, milk, jam and other breakfast basics but if you want a cooked one, the Anchor is a short walk down the road and they will oblige (to be paid for separately).
No children. Both my husband and I work from home. I'm a writer, he's a composer. No dogs. Love them to pieces but Mabel our Parsons Jack is an unwelcoming snob regarding any guest with four legs.
Parking space available. Please keep gate shut for Mabel's sake.
There is no TV but good wifi and lots of books.
Hutte is on one level, one small step up over the threshold.

‘Freddie’ is a glamping pod which sleeps 2 persons inside on a double bed, with space for a (bring your own) small tent to be pitched next to it for up to 2 extra persons. There is a small kitchenette and dining table inside the pod and a veranda outside which can be closed up at night. A shower room (with toilet and basin) for the sole use of Freddie’s guests is situated nearby, together with a shared utility room. There is also access to a dedicated cooking shelter and near-at-hand parking. The inside of the pod has sufficient space also to accommodate a small travel cot. Please note that we are experienced hosts and also offer camping, two shepherd huts, two holiday cottages and a seaside house as guest accommodation - see HAUK listings 8226232, 8106417, 8178658, 8659135 and 8276859. Please note that we request a maximum of 2 adults and that each of our 'units' has a generous 'private space' surrounding them - we allow dogs to stay in our shepherd huts, but not in Freddie, please.

This Lantern and Larks site, Sweffling, is nestled between Framlingham, Southwold and Aldeburgh, this glamping site is perfectly located for discovering the Suffolk coast. At the end of the day, return to one of our six luxury safari tents, complete with proper beds, firepit and hot showers. If you’re travelling in a group, you could even book several tents and enjoy a break with your nearest and dearest.

Each of our glamping tents accommodates up to six and has three bedrooms that each sleep two. There is one king size room, one twin room and one bunk bed room per tent. If necessary you could also fit a travel cot in any of the bedrooms (these can be hired if required).

There is an abundance of on site activities that can be booked in advance such as Nature Meditation, Forest Bathing, Beachcombing, Astronomy Sessions and a Horse and Cart Ride. Please see the details in the additional information.

It really is the ideal setting for luxury glamping as a couple or with the whole family. The coastal estuaries alone offer much to make even the least interested of you ‘twitch' just a little. The Blyth estuary enters the sea at Southwold. As well as being home to Adnams ales, its marshland is home to a veritable A to W of wildfowl from Avocet to Wigeon via Dunlin and Knot. To the south, inland Woodbridge is a centre for sailing and other water borne excursions on the tidal River Deben, that spills gently into the sea above Felixstowe.

Between them, the Alde opens up at Snape, whose Maltings deserve a definite tick for visitors young and old. The estuary meanders through marshland and reed banks towards Aldeburgh, one of the most picturesque small fishing towns set between reed and wave. Enjoy the best fish 'n' chips ever along the Suffolk Coast, washed down with the finest of ales and discuss between you the poignancy of Maggi Hambling's 'Scallop', or perhaps just skim stones on the North Sea. All within easy reach of our Sweffling glamping site.

30 minutes from our Sweffling site at Lantern and Larks, the traditional seaside town of Southwold is just the place for a day on the beach. With its sandy beach and famous pier, we can think of no better spot for enjoying an ice cream or a game in the arcade! You can also browse the many shops, tour the lighthouse and pop into the Adnams Brewery – don’t forget to pick up a bottle of something to enjoy round the firepit upon your return to your luxury safari tent.

- "We absolutely love the set-up of Lantern & Larks and have stayed on 3 different sites. The Sweffling site is a favourite as the location is so close to the coast and the lovely towns of Southwold & Aldeburgh. Nothing is too much trouble for Andrew who lives on the farm onsite and is always available. We travel as a large family group (plus dog) and book 3 properties on the site, the kids are free to roam and the tents are well equipped for everything you need. There's a decent shower and separate loo, a lovely woodburner for the chilly evenings - with a plentiful supply of logs you can get from the log store (included). There's a gas hob for cooking/making a cup of tea, but also an open fire outside that you can BBQ on (bring your own charcoal, or can purchase in the shop). The beds are comfy & cosy too. The honesty shop is well equipped, you can plug your charging banks in to recharge, but they also provide rechargeable lanterns, plus frozen 'hot' water bottles which you can use to chill the cool boxes (x2) that are provided in the tents. Please do not book this property if you are not used to the countryside. It is in the midst of what I consider a small nature reserve, with nesting birds and many other natural features. It lies the midst of highly agricultural landscape, and I try to prioritise wildlife. If you are the sort of person who minds about matching plates, or worry about the odd spider and the odd fly, please do not book here. I find a lot of urban dwellers make remarks that are very hurtful. Most people love this place: it is unusual, and in many ways very exotic.

The lodge enjoys access to a heated 12m x 4m indoor swimming pool and changing rooms. Included in your stay is a complimentary half hour swim per day. Please note that this will need to be pre-booked in order to ensure availability.

Wagtail Lodge is one of five bespoke Lodges on Wideham Farm. It is comfortably furnished, has views across the property and immediate access to Kings Forest, a perfect place for a relaxing break. The open plan living space has a well equipped kitchen, dining table, settee and chair. The family bathroom has a walk in shower, basin and WC, and it has one double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the location, the sunsets, the wildlife and so much more! (Sorry no pets allowed)

The entire Lodge is yours for the stay. You have your own covered decking to sit outside on the patio furniture and two parking spaces on your doorstep.

One of 3 luxury lodges nestled within the Cherry Orchard. The lodge sleeps 6 people with lovely views, its own private hot-tub, large decking area, outside seating & sun loungers. The lodge is well equipped with everything you need, including coffee machine, smart TV, log burner ,large fridge freezer and DVD player. About a 20 minute walk into Hadleigh, which has a selection of pubs and restaurants.

The space
A 3 Bedroom lodge, to sleep six people. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, superior mattresses and quality bedlinen to ensure a great night’s sleep. It has an en-suite bathroom with double sinks and a walk in shower . There is also a double room with king-size bed and wardrobe. Opposite is a twin room with two single beds. This room can easily be made up as another king-size bed, just let us know what you prefer. These two rooms share the large family bathroom with walk in shower, separate bath and Bluetooth speakers. There is an open plan living kitchen area, looking out onto the Orchard. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric range cooker, American fridge freezer, toaster, coffee machine, nutra-bullet, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a dining table and chairs to seat six , two sofas and coffee table in the lounge. There is a log burner in the lounge as well as a music system. A welcome basket full of logs, kindling and firelighters is provided. The patio doors lead out onto the extensive decking with 2 sun loungers, outside table and chairs and of course your own hot tub. A built in Charcoal Barbeque (with Pizza Oven accessory and fire pit is situated outside the lodge for your sole use. There is plenty of wood in the log store by the side of the lodge.

There are 3 lodges on site. Each lodge is about 15M apart, each with open outlooks . You have sole use of the lodge a private hot tub and private barbeque area. A shared play area is available for children, along with a Boule run. Each lodge has its own private car parking area suitable for 2 cars.

Other things to note
Dogs : There is one dog on site which is friendly. If you have any concerns re dogs being around please let us know so we can ensure they are kept away.
Wifi : Wifi is available in every lodge, although given our countryside location , this is not suitable for heavy use. Mobile reception is good and 4G is generally available.
Heating : heating is provided by the log burner (guard provided) and electric heaters in every room.

The space
These new eco, healthy living, spacious Finnish Log Homes have high spec interiors, with all rooms having a stunning view over the valley, all wrapped around with a generous terrace with BBQ and outdoor seating.

The Lodges provide open plan living with a cosy log fire for the cooler evenings.

The Lodges have two large double bedrooms, each with an ensuite (one with a bath and one with a walk in shower). There is also a Cloakroom available.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and second bedroom is of a similar size with a zip-link bed giving the option of two single beds if required. Each bedroom benefits from a superior mattress (quality bed linen provided), wardrobe and drawers.

The open plan living space and both bedrooms feature large sliding doors giving beautiful views of the valley.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the equipment and utensils you may need for your stay including fridge/freezer, electric cooker with induction hob and dishwasher.

The dining area seats up to 4 people and there is extra breakfast bar seating also.

Guest access
There are 4 Log Homes on site situated in the valley and accessed via a sweeping drive. Each Home benefits from private parking.

Guests will also have access to other independent leisure facilities on-site including the swimming pool, Ya-ya’s House with a café and the Children’s Gymnastic centre. Bookings must be made direct with each facility. We advise you check facilities are open before you book the log home if you would like to use them.

There are also plenty of walking paths to enjoy nearby and fields for you and your four legged friends to stretch their legs.

Other things to note
There is one small resident dog who also lives on site. He is very friendly with children and may pop along to say hello during your stay. If you have any worries regarding our resident dog please let us know beforehand so we can make your stay as relaxing as possible.

1 small well behaved is permitted per lodge at an additional cost of £35.

Wigwam Holidays Maglia Rosso is set in the beautiful, unspoiled Suffolk countryside in the village of Hawstead, just four miles south of Bury St Edmunds.

Our south-facing cabins are set in a five-acre meadow adjacent to the former village pub, now operating as a cycling centre and licensed country café. We’re very family-friendly, with a children’s play area and plenty of space for families to enjoy the peaceful rural surroundings.

Our glamping pods are located on our farm within ear-shot and walking distance of the Sea. This glamping pod is uniquely designed to compliment the rustic design of the farm buildings and resemble a pig arc to honour the roots of our farm. Perfect for those who love the wilderness and want to connect with nature without the worry of setting up your tent, instead staying in a stylish, luxurious and cosy glamping pod.

The space
This pod has an en-suite shower and double bed. There is a hand made country style kitchenette featuring a Belfast sink, hob and microwave oven, plus TV and wood burner. The exterior decking allows guests to enjoy the outdoors at every opportunity. The Pod has a unique wood-fired bath, outside table and an area with outdoor seating and a fire pit with a grill to expand your cooking options.

The pods are situated in a private area within the camping Meadow so are also a practical solution for mixed groups of those both camping and glamping. The glamping pods are open all years however the camping meadow is closed from October - April.
