The entire property is cheaply built and maintained. The pool photo on the website is from the adjacent property. The guests are smoking everywhere on the property including the restaurant. The guests are drinking booze in broad daylight. The staff are poorly trained and dressed. The fittings inside the room are old and cranky. Families don’t feel safe at this property. We booked Adrista for one night. We were short changed. We arrived at 11:30pm at the property and didn’t have the energy to go anywhere else."

A home away from home in a quite neighborhood that is far from the crowds. This is the best homestay in Majuli. We have been awarded by Tourism department of Assam for our services and encouraging people to tourism in the state. The homestay is a traditional assam type house which has 2 private bedrooms with attached washroom for guests.

We provide freshly prepared homely food for all our guest as per guest requirements, which will be charged extra. The great deal is we provide free complimentary asian breakfast for all our guest. Besides this home we also have two other unit adjacent to the house. One unit is similar to the homestay which have 2 concrete rooms. One is the quadruple room and the other is the single room, For this two rooms we don't have attached washroom. However there is a shared washroom outside for this 2 rooms.

The other unit adjacent to the house is newly built bamboo cottage after receiving lots of demand from my foreign guest, who would like to experienced their stay at unique traditional bamboo houses like the Majuli tribal people. This unit have 2 bedrooms with attached washroom and a balcony as you can see in the photos. If you would like to experience your stay in unique traditional bamboo houses, better book these rooms.

Your security is our top priority so we have CCTV cameras outside the property. Keys are always kept on the fridge, if you don't know how to operate please let us know. Electricity in Tamil Nadu can be an issue and this is totally out of our control. But hopefully, power cuts are usually for few minutes only and the villa is equipped with UPS (battery) for lights and fans.
This means that sometimes AC can stop working for few minutes, this is unpredictable.
This studio is inside a private villa, this is not a compound in a big city, it means that sometimes some small insects can be there, we make regular pest control and we can provide repellent if needed, do not hesitate to ask me or my assistant.
Also some lizards can be there, please note that in the area it is considered as lucky animals and useful as they kill bad insects, local people don't like to kill them. Lizards are totally safe animals and very afraid of humans.

This mud house offers a first-hand experience of the rustic village life of the Gaddi tribe, providing an in-depth look into their lifestyle and customs. About the Space:

BEDROOMS:
- There are 4 bedrooms at this property, 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor. Each bedroom can accommodate a maximum of 3 guests. The third guest will be accommodated on an extra mattress, which is available at an additional cost.
- Sophisticated arrangement of charming & comfortable wooden furniture that will just put you at ease.
- Each of these bedrooms are equipped with a king sized bed, wardrobes, hangers and a seating area for guests to enjoy a nice cup of tea with a view.
- Each room has a veranda seating area for guests to sit and enjoy the breathtaking views from the property.
- All the rooms are equipped with spacious bathrooms.

BATHROOMS:
- There are 4 attached bathrooms at the property.
- All bathrooms have geysers, towels and basic toiletries.

COMMON AREA:
- Our property features a spacious outdoor common area ideal for hosting 8-10 guests, with the option to arrange bonfires upon request at an additional cost.
- Additionally, there are two dining tables available, each seating up to 4 guests comfortably.
- This space offers a perfect spot to enjoy your tea/ coffee with stunning views of the sunrise and sunsets.

KITCHEN:
- The kitchen entry is restricted to the staff only, however, the guests can be allowed access to the kitchen with prior permission of the Management only.
- It is equipped with a refrigerator, single door deep freezer, crockery and cutlery.

FOOD:
- Enjoy delicious home-made meals prepared by our in-house cook.
- Breakfast is included in the tariff. Lunch and Dinner can be provided in-house at an additional cost, on a la carte basis.
- Please note that outside packed food is not permitted on the premises.

GUEST ACCESS:
- The guests have access to the entire property except the kitchen.

ACTIVITIES:
- Guests can embark on nature walks and trails right from the property, enjoying the lush greenery and fresh air
- Take a walk to the Jakhani Mata Temple
- Guests can enjoy a visit to the beautiful tea gardens of Palampur. Some notable spots include the famous Bundla Tea Estate, known for its scenic views and tranquil setting, and the Wah Tea Estate, where visitors can experience tea tasting and explore the lush greenery.
- Trek to the Birni Devi Temple, a scenic 5.1-km out-and-back trail near Palampur. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to organize this adventure

Other things to note
- There is free parking available.
- The property is a short 100-meter walk from the parking area.
- Due to the sloped terrain, elderly guests may find it a bit challenging to navigate the property. However, our staff is more than happy to assist and ensure a comfortable experience.
- The caretaker stays on the premises of property. Guest’s staff accommodation is not available on the property, however, we can arrange nearby lodging at an additional, minimal cost.
- Bonfire is chargeable @INR 750 for one time.
- Please note that like any other home in the mountains, we do not have an air-conditioner at the property. The property has been designed in such a way that the room temperature is maintained at a comforting level.
- Mobile network may be an issue but guests can stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi at the property.
- There is power-backup available at the property.
- There are CCTV cameras that capture the external areas for security purposes.
- Staff accommodation is not available on the property.
- In the event of any breakage/ damage by the guests at the property, the guests will have to bear the expense for such breakage/ damage.
- Please turn off all switches and appliances when not in use.
