Only criticism was that there was a large wedding that overtook and closed the restaurant and bar over several days, which meant we often had to eat in our room. The hotel was at only 20% occupancy which worked well for us as we received very personalized care and attention. We were upgraded on arrival and the views from the terrace of our suite were really lovely. The hotel site is big and a little hilly (especially with a little one in tow) so the golf carts operated by the hotel team are a welcome bonus in getting around. The fine dining restaurant was outstanding while the more causal options including near the pool were also good. You need a car to get around and see the surrounding areas and my partner is French which also helped in communications both in the hotel and outside (although everyone spoke good English). It was a shame that I didn't bring my golf gear as the course looks in beautiful condition and I didn't see anyone on it. However the Spa was excellent both in terms of the quality of the treatments but also the look, feel, maintenance and cleanliness and the hotel pool was large and with spin off areas for kids and jacuzzi. We discussed whether we would feel the same if there were super busy and that is difficult to guess at but we both agreed that it was a fabulous place to stay and the whole experience was very child-friendly (especially the staff). Our only "issue" was that we didn't realize until we left that we could have requested a different mattress for the bed. A minor issue on what was altogether a really lovely and relaxing stay."
