The only fault I found was the restaurant wasn't open during the week. Food was served in the bar, which is too small to accommodate everyone who wants to eat. Walworth Castle Cottage sits within the grounds of the Walworth Castle Estate, in the quaint village of Walworth, County Durham. Sleeping up to 4 guests (and up to 2 well behaved dogs), this delightful cottage complete with its own hot tub and 2 parking spaces, is nestled in the 18 acres of the Castle grounds.

The space
All on one level, Walworth Castle Cottage has an open-plan layout, creating a sociable atmosphere for your stay. As you enter into the main living space you will find a cosy sitting area with sofas and TV; a dining area which is also the perfect spot to gather and play a board game; and the bright and modern kitchen area which has everything you need for a self-catering break, including electric hob and oven, fridge and dishwasher.

There are 2 comfortable bedrooms in the Cottage, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds; and a family bathroom comprising a bath with shower over, WC and basin. A highchair and travel cot can also be provided on request.

To keep your party entertained, there are a selection DVDs, games and books for you to enjoy whilst staying at the Cottage, and for the ultimate in relaxation, the Cottage has it's own hot tub located on the enclosed rear patio - the perfect way to wind down after a day exploring!

Whilst staying at the cottage, why not pop across to the Hotel to enjoy an afternoon tea, a drink at the bar, or even treat yourself to a meal at the restaurant if you fancy a night off from cooking!

Brandy Bank House is situated in the quiet rural village of West Woodburn, on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, close to the River Rede in the Cheviot Hills of Northumberland. The property is a wonderful base from which to explore the Northumberland National Park.
Hadrian’s Wall, the border counties of Scotland, Kielder Water, Hexham, and the Northumberland Heritage Coast can all be easily accessed from the property, making it an ideal property for walkers, cyclists and star-gazers.

The space
You’ll have full access to the property during your stay, which includes a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining room, a games room, a large living room area, eight en-suite bedrooms, outdoor space, and a hot tub.

As you enter the property, to the left is dining room which has a large dining table seating 16 so you can gather everyone together and enjoy meals as a group. This leads onto a modern well-equipped kitchen which has a dishwasher, an American style fridge, freezer, a microwave, oven, hob, and toaster. There is also a utility room off the kitchen which has a second dishwasher. a washing machine and a second fridge.

On the right, opposite the entrance to the kitchen, there is a games room with a full size pool table, and a pub style CD jukebox. There is also a TV, and a selection of board games.

Further down the hall is the living room which has 2 areas, where you’ll find ample seating for 16, so it’s the perfect spot to relax and socialise with your loved ones.

Brandy Bank House has eight bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms.
The ground floor bedroom and bathroom provide accessibility for wheelchair users.

All bedrooms sleep two and have the following setup: Bedroom 1 - Super-King size bed, Bedroom 2 –King size bed, Bedroom 3 – Double bed, Bedroom 4 – Super-King size bed, Bedroom 5 –Double bed, Bedroom 6 – Super-King size bed, Bedroom 7 – twin beds, Bedroom 8 – Double bed, All Super-King size beds can be split into two singles, making the house suitable for groups of couples and also families.

Outside you’ll find parking for 8 cars, a lawned garden and outdoor seating. Brandy Bank also has a hot tub, so you can enjoy fun times or relaxation with your family and friends.
