WELCOME TO THE RIVER LODGE –a place to gather with friends and family! This unique home sits on a peaceful five acres on the banks of the Mississippi River. It features three levels with 7 bedrooms plus additional sleeping areas in the loft and the game room, making it possible to fit up to 24 guests (see below for details). The great room with its double height ceiling and loft balcony provides a large gathering space which is perfect for reunions and retreats. Additionally, there are 3 other living rooms all with smart TVs, 5 bathrooms, a game room with ping pong, several outdoor sitting areas, a beautiful fire pit patio and several lawn games to enjoy.

THE AREA
The towns of Aitkin and Crosby are just a 15 minute drive from the lodge. Both have a wonderful variety of cafes, restaurants, antique shops and events throughout the year. Also a short drive away are the famous Cuyuna mountain biking trails! In the winter, cross country, snowshoe and snow-mobile trails are all nearby.

Great place to get away. Our family cabin has been fully updated to meet the needs of our guests and family. Main floor is a open floor plan with beautiful views of lake and awesome screened in porch with fire table. Basement is setup with two bedrooms and four beds with a walkout to the lake. Every room has great views to the lake and home has a wrap around deck with plenty of space to enjoy. Our shoreline is as nice as they come on Mille Lacs- great swimming and gradual slope with no weeds or rocks. Great place to have a winter get away! Snowmobile right from the front yard-miles of trails off or on the lake. Pull the portable fish House out to a premier Minnesota lake. If you chose to explore the area, or just hang out and relax, you won't be disappointed.

Watch the sunrise over beautiful Mille Lacs Lake. Our year around home is situated on the Northwest corner of Mille Lacs Lake. The main floor of the home has a large kitchen / dining room that comfortably seats the entire group. The living room has a large TV and plenty of comfortable seats to relax and watch a movie after a day of fun on the water. The master suite is on the main level, as well as the laundry. Go up the stairs to a game room that overlooks the lake and has a poker table, foosball table and high top for playing cards, checkers and chess. Off the game room are two additional bedrooms and a bathroom. Upstairs from the game room is another loft bedroom. A paddle boat, bean bags and games are at the property for guests to use.

Farm Island lake is 2000 acres with 13 miles of shoreline approximately 2 hours north of the Twin Cities, near Aitkin. Managed as a walleye lake with excellent fishing, including crappies, northern pike, bass, and panfish.

⋆ Refund: The deposit of one night stay is only refundable if the reservation is canceled by 6pm; two days (48 hours) prior to the arrival. For long term stays requiring a 50% deposit, we require cancellations made a week (7 days) before your stay for a full refund. Cancellations made within a week of your stay you will lose your full deposit.

⋆ A maximum of two pets are allowed per room.
⋆ A non-refundable $50 pet fee will be charged per reservation.

⋆ Dogs should be leashed when outside of the room.

Tucked away at the end of peaceful Deer Lake Lane, this contemporary rustic custom-built cabin offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The property features an open-concept living space, a fully stocked kitchen with brand new appliances and custom butcher block countertops, a dining space featuring a garage door and electric screen, and plenty of seating to enjoy the wood-burning stove. The sunroom on the east side of the house has a 270-degree view overlooking Deer Lake. The spacious bathroom, with its double vanity, illuminating antifog mirror, will make you feel like you are enjoying a day at the spa.

The spacious lofted master suite overlooks the entire cabin. With a king-sized bed, an ensuite bathroom with an in-room freestanding tub, and a reading nook to enjoy a book or a cup of coffee. Above the master suite, there is a "crows nest" style loft which offers additional sleeping space for large groups.

The entire property is yours! The cabin itself is extremely comfortable and well stocked. Outside, we have two kayaks if you would to take a spin around quiet Deer Lake. There is a propane grill and fire ring area with seasoned, ready to burn firewood provided for guest use

Other things to note
The third bed is lofted above the master suite. Although the ladder to access this bed is fixed to the structure and very sturdy and secure, not everyone may feel comfortable climbing into this space.

To reach the cabin, you will need to drive on about 1.5 miles of dirt road.

This beautiful modern home is nestled on a private lake only a mile away from Cruser's Kettle and 8 Miles from Crosby, MN.

The space
The house has two stories, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs master suite has beautiful views and a king-sized bed. The master bathroom has a large bathtub overlooking the lake and a huge walk-in shower.

The second bedroom down the hall has a large double-sized bunkbed with closet, and dresser.

For the kids the downstairs is where they want to be. Two queen sized beds and a twin-bunkbed will sleep everyone else. Each floor has a dedicated bathroom and bathtub.

Radiant floor heat keeps your toes warm in the winter. The house also offers additional forced air heat and AC for those hot summer days.

Other things to note
The bedrooms have large windows that face the lake and I have gotten some comments that there are no curtains on the windows. This is true. It gets light early in the morning in the summer and stays light later in the evening. I appreciate the natural unobstructed feel, but I am sorry it may not appeal to every guest.

There are extra blankets in every bedroom in case it gets chilly at night.

Canoe and kayaks are down on the dock with paddles. There is a tote with lifejackets including those for kids. Bring your own fishing gear if you want to fish.

Our cozy modern cabin comfortably accommodates small groups and families in three separate bedrooms and two full bathrooms with showers. The heart of the interior is the two story open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area, perfect for shared meals at the large table or relaxation around the gas fireplace. Upstairs, a loft area awaits, providing a comfortable lounge space with a dedicated workspace and expansive views towards the lake.

Step outside and enjoy a large patio area with ample outdoor seating, a picnic table, and propane grill. Between the cabin and lakeshore is an open yard area for recreation. Enjoy views overlooking the water from either the outdoor fire ring or from inside the unique three-season screen porch with wood-burning fireplace - a haven from both bugs and inclement weather.

Down the stairway to the lake, you can swim and fish from our long dock that stretches out into the shallows of the lakeshore. Bring your own watercraft and explore all 1,200 acres of Rabbit Lake; split between the east and west bowls, the lake is typically quiet, with plenty of open space for recreation and numerous bays and wetland area for fishing. The public boat launch is a short drive away off of Country Road 31.

Farm Island lake is 2000 acres with 13 miles of shoreline approximately 2 hours north of the Twin Cities, near Aitkin. Managed as a walleye lake with excellent fishing, including crappies, pike, bass, and panfish.

Snowmobile right from the driveway and jump on the trails. Kayak right from the backyard! You can kayak from our lake to the neighboring Lily Lake through a beautiful winding waterway. Watch the sunrise over beautiful Mille Lacs Lake. Our year around home is situated on the Northwest corner of Mille Lacs Lake. The main floor of the home has a large kitchen / dining rom that comfortably seats the entire group. The living room has a large TV and plenty of comfortable seats to relax and watch a movie after a day of fun on the water. The game room that overlooks the lake, has a poker table, foosball table and variety of games for the family to enjoy.

Historic cabin with stunning views of Lake Mille Lacs! Relax and enjoy this year-round retreat, only 2 hours away from Minneapolis/St. Paul! While the cabin is not "on" Lake Mille Lacs, it is just a stone throw away! You can launch your boat at The Red Door Resort. (For a small fee) Directly next door to the cabin.

Excellent cabin experience located in Aitkin County just 2 hours and 15 minutes from the twin cities. Newly remodeled throughout including working sauna. Large L shaped deck for panaramic views of the lake easily sits up to 15 people. This property is located right on the shoreline and you are steps away from the water. This is a 520 acre lake that provides all you want for an up north cabin experience. Bring the family or 3 couples. You will love our floor plan.

Our cabin is recently remodeled with 4 bedrooms and has been great for our kids and guests. We easily handle 3 couples and children on the property. We are right on the lake with a large L shaped deck with comfortable seating for everyone. Outstanding Lake views from inside and outside the property. It is truly a special place. We only rent this a few times a year.
