The Neighborhood
In western Wisconsin, St. Croix Falls has become a destination for people who want to go places.

It's the western terminus of the 1,000-mile Ice Age National Scenic Trail, which traces the last glacier as it began to melt and retreat northward, leaving a marvelously lumpy patchwork of rock, rubble and river gorges.

It's the southern trailhead of the 48-mile Gandy Dancer State Trail, a scenic crushed-limestone bicycle trail named for the rail workers who rhythmically swung pickaxes and hammers made by the Gandy Tool Co.

And it's the headquarters of the 252-mile St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, with a new visitors center that helps paddlers plan trips from the Namekagon to the St. Croix's confluence with the Mississippi.

There are another 12 trails in Interstate State Park, which became Wisconsin's first state park in 1900 and is the start of the Ice Age Trail.

Visit Ki-Chi Saga Park just down the street! The centerpiece of this park is the Karl Oskar House, an original 19th century Swedish immigrant house recently restored by the Chisago County Historical society. There are 2 picnic shelters, a Children’s Play Structure, Volleyball (bring your ball), Horseshoes (Bring your horseshoes), nature hike and winter ski trail.

Wine Lover? Wine Haven is a 12-minute drive, as well as Dancing Dragonfly, and Chateau St. Croix 30-minute drive.

Wild Mountain is a 25-minute drive. In the summer, enjoy their water park, alpine slides and go-karts. And in winter you can ski, snowboard and snow tube.

Troll Hagen is a 25-minute drive, and has zip lines in the summer, and tubing, skiing and snowboarding in the winter.

In less than 10 Minutes you can visit the Pleasant Valley Orchard. Spend the summer strawberry picking and in the fall pick apples and pumpkins and go on a hayride. As it gets to the end of the year, go to their barn sale!

Like to Golf? Chisago Lakes Golf course is just a 5-minute drive from the cabin. It has 18 holes and a new pro shop, and was named one of the top 50 MN public golf courses.

South Center Lake is 835 acres in size. It is approximately 109 feet deep at its deepest point. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Black Bullhead, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed, Walleye, Yellow Bullhead and Yellow Perch.
About North Center Lake:
North Center Lake is 725 acres in size. It is approximately 46 feet deep at its deepest point. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Black Bullhead, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed, Walleye, White Sucker, Yellow Bullhead and Yellow Perch.

We had a fire ( bring your own wood), grilled out a few times (charcoal grill, bring charcoal) and fished whenever we could. We were able to tie our boat to the dock. Boat lanch just other side of lake off Olinda. Beds were comfy. One couple took the loft and other the bedroom. We did move fan up to loft to cool it down. Kitchen has everything you'll need to cook or bake. A few actual steak knives would have been nice, but we made do. Large table was great for meals and games. Living room so cozy with extra pillows, blankets for movie watching. Lots of towels, travel size shampoo, conditioner, lotion were provided! So nice. Even beach towels were provided, we didn't realize that and brought our own. Only one of us swam, so no big deal. We spent time out at Winehaven winery and Common Loon Brewery. Ate out at the Stone Inn twice. Great Lobster Mac! Franconia Sculpture garden was fun and not far away. Chris was super easy to text and he responded promptly. We would definitely go back! Thanks for sharing your home with us."

A small unique urban “loft bedroom” that is close to Wild Mountain; Trollhaugen; Festival Theater; the Ice Age Trailhead; Interstate Park in WI and MN; the Gandy Dancer Trail; the Woolly Mountain Bike Trail; Cyclova Bike Shop; the St Croix River; Osceola; cafe, bars, and small grocery store within walking distance.. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings, the uniqueness, the location, & the private cafe table outside.

The space:
This is a small studio bedroom w kitchenette, a private bathroom with toilet, vanity, and stand-up shower. The thermostat controls for the heat are in the bathroom. AC unit for the main room. There is a small kitchenette, dresser, hangers, TV, Wi-Fi, and access to a stone patio. Right off of main street in downtown St Croix Falls.

Guest access:
You will be given an electronic keycode and instructions to use this lock system the morning of check-in. You will use this keycode to lock and unlock the main door to the apartment. You may check-in without meeting us (which is why we are flexible on check-in time) but if you need anything, we are close by and can help you with anything.

Other things to note:
There are three apartments we rent out at 123 s Washington so if you are traveling with others and want to stay together, please also check out the listings for The Artist's Loft and The Peacock Loft. There are three patios that anyone can sit on and enjoy. Although we are off of Main Street, road noise is usually limited in the Copper Room but feel free to bring a fan or earplugs if very sensitive to noise - we want you to have a great sleep! This is a unique room and has exposed copper pipes (which is why it is decorated in a copper theme!) - please note that there may be small water-trickling sounds coming up the pipes (the room has 12 foot ceilings though so they are high-up) above. Do not be alarmed - this is normal. We just want you to be aware before booking so this doesn't upset you. Also, this apartment only has a small partial kitchen: Fridge, hot plate, air fryer microwave, sink, and cupboards. Plenty of room to store fresh/dry food for a weekened/week though.

Guest access:
Parking on the street is plentiful. Room is located down one flight of stairs.

One dog is welcome. 1 pet max under 20 pounds $75 per stay. Must not be left alone in the room

If anyone in your party is afraid of dogs please let us know and we can keep our dog tethered during your stay. Please let us know if there will be small children as part of your group. The house is not child proof.

THE SPACE:
Walk-out lakefront access, four 2-person paddleboards (that can also be used similarly to kayaks), a 100" projector screen, knotty-pine walls, modern and fresh renovations, and comfortable furnishings, all complete the Pelican Bay Cabin.

Given that the cabin is in a bay, we are fortunate to enjoy a plethora of wildlife year-round. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat that includes walk-out lakefront access to one of the most sought-after lakes in the region and abundant wildlife, this IS the place for you.

The reason wildlife seek out this bay is due to its LACK of sandy beaches. If you are looking for a sand-covered beach, this is NOT the place to stay.

We utilize Ring video doorbells for our guests' safety. This also allows us to ensure the booking details are accurate -- if more people than are listed attempt to check in, or someone other than the person who made the reservation checks in, we'll be alerted.

PETS:
We can accommodate 1 dog per reservation upon approval only. Your dog must be on the reservation with the DAILY pet fee ($50 PER night) paid prior to arrival or you will be subject to an additional charge plus the nightly pet rate.

The Lindstrom Cabin is a place to escape the noise and bustle of life. Keeping the noise down allows for you to hear all of the amazing wildlife and keeps the neighborhood the lovely, peaceful place it is. If you are here to throw a party or stay up until all hours of the night outside, I am afraid you have found the wrong place.

We love our pets and our guests! In order for us to to accommodate your fur-baby(ies), we ask that:

1. Your pet stays off all furniture.
2. Is not left alone in the apartment.
3. The house & yard are picked-up after your pet.

Please note this is out of respect for future guests and our full-time tenant in the upper apartment.

Come stay at the lake and upgrade your camping experience. The birds eye view of the lake is wonderful! The French door opens up to a private deck that is great for your morning coffee or evening meal. The bedroom has 4 single beds. This space can be reserved with the main house. The kitchen has a fridge and microwave and table for 4. There is a half bath but NO indoor shower. There is a private outdoor shower. Be aware that there are stairs to access the unit. we have a security camera on the front and back of the garage facing the front and back yard, they will be on and are only outside. The outdoor spaces are shared with the main house guests and owners(except your deck space, that is yours to enjoy) we do have a large dog when we are on site.

This one level living features a kitchen, dining area, living room, 3/4 bath, laundry, and two bedrooms.
The master bedroom features lots of natural light, a king-sized bed with a sliding glass door that walks out to the lake, nightstands with usb charging outlets and plug-ins, closet, and a large flatscreen smart TV (no cable is available, but log onto your accounts and stream content).
The second bedroom features a queen-sized bed and a closet.
The dining area has a table that can be expanded with a leaf if you need extra space.
The living area has a large comfy couch for lounging on after enjoying the lake or gathering with the family to watch a show on the large flatscreen smart TV.
The bathroom features a large walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. The towels are extra-large and very soft and plush.
The laundry (washer & dryer) has detergent provided as well as dryer balls.
The kitchen is full of cooking utensils for any chefs staying here. Please do not hesitate to inquire about what we have available.
Outside there is a patio with a charcoal grill (charcoal provided) and grilling utensils.
A dock is available should you want to bring your own boat (the public boat launch is two blocks away). If you don’t have a boat, a pontoon can be available to rent from a business just down the road.
For those with infants/young children, we have a highchair and pack-n-play available for free as well-please just let us know when booking.
A blow-up mattress is available if you have 6 guests, please let us know if you need this when booking.

A camera is located viewing the garage and driveway area (east viewing) This area of the yard is rarely used by guests except when coming and going. Big Rock Creek is a place where time stands still. From the moment you enter the grounds amongst the towering pines and beautiful winding creek, you'll feel as though you traveled back to a time when the days moved a little slower. Boasting an amazing Trout filled lake, 26 miles of gravel trails and 980 acres of nature, Big Rock Creek is a place you'll want to be lost! Guests of the creekside family tent at Big Rock Creek will enjoy a queen sized bed with a queen sized futon along with a cot stored under the queen sized bed! This tent sleeps 2-3 adults max and could sleep 2 adults with 4 small kids if the kids were willing to share beds:)

The Big Rock Creek estate is home to Fridays at the farm! Our weekly farmers market and hang out. We have live music, food and drinks and a small market of local vendors. This event is from 5-9pm on Fridays. We also have a gift shop on site along with bike rentals and electric polaris ranger rentals to cruise the trails of our 980 acres! If your into fishing, we only allow fly fishing but we do have fly rods for rent here on site!

Guests are allowed access to our private lake with a swimming raft, paddle boards, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats that are free for guests to use on a first come first serve basis.

This particular site is creekside so you get the added benefit of listening to the crick as you take a snooze or wading and playing in the crick's sandy bottoms on a hot afternoon!

Kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, swim raft and paddle boats on the lake are free to use on a first come first serve basis! We have bikes, Electric Ranger UTV, Pontoon on the St. Croix River and more to rent when on site!

Big Rock Creek is just north of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin and just across the river from Taylors Falls, MN. Tons of stuff to do locally!

Come to relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Enjoy wildlife out the back door. This is a one bedroom cabin, but have a pull out bed in the living room along with a couple extra twin mattresses for use. The bunk house is available and has electric and heat (April-December) for a small cleaning fee. This offers the right amount of space for groups larger than 5.

The space
Bunk house available from spring to the first of the year for a small cleaning fee. Please ask if you have a large group. The bunkhouse sleeps 5 people. One bunk bed in main bedroom, a Pull out sofa bed and two twin mattresses in the cabin for use.

Drive the car, truck and or UTV/ATV up the road to the local bar and grill to eat or even up to the trails. There is a couple short trails on the woods behind our cabin that you may walk on but please just stay on the loop closest to our cabin.

Other things to note
The cabin does have a few boxelder bugs that like to hang out at times in the window sills during warm weather. We do clean them all up in between stays.
If you leave food siting on the counter, once in a while ants will show up. The ground is very sandy around the cabin and there is quite a few ants out there.

Relax in this newer home overlooking long lake. Read on the porch swing, listen for the loons calling or see the eagles from the end of the dock with your toes in the water. The space
1 bedroom has a king bed with lofted Twin XL. 1 bedroom has 2 bunk beds(twin/full) Living room, dining room, full kitchen with breakfast bar and bathroom. The yard has a gentle fairly flat slope to the lake. The large yard leaves plenty of room for yard games under the shade tree. Attached is a patio with tables and chairs, an unattached covered patio with a picnic table and gas grill(shared with hosts and possibly bunkhouse guests). 2 kayaks and canoe are available for your use on Long Lake at no additional charge. In the summer months, there is space for your boat on the dock if pre-arranged with the host(long lake has public access)

Come stay at the lake and upgrade your camping experience. The birds eye view of the lake is wonderful! The French door opens up to a deck that is great for your morning coffee or evening meal. The bedroom has 4 single beds. This space can be reserved with the main house. The kitchen has a fridge and microwave and table for 4. There is a half bath but NO indoor shower, there is an outdoor shower. Be aware that there are stairs to access the unit. The outdoor yard spaces are shared.

The cabin is secured with a smart lock, and you will receive a code for this when it is time for your check in.

We have a steep driveway, and we make every effort to keep it plowed in winter. However, we do not recommend using the driveway in winter without 4-wheel drive. If you do not have 4-wheel drive or are unsure, we recommend parking at the top of the driveway on the parking pad and walking down. The driveway accommodates up to 2 vehicles at the bottom and 3-4 vehicles at the top.

Other things to note
Please respect lake quiet hours from 10pm–8am, as many neighbors live here year-round. The hill behind the house is steep and may be difficult for those with mobility issues; there are also stairs to the dock. Being in the woods, bugs are common—pack repellent. There is one shower (in the basement), which can get cold in winter—heaters are provided. The upstairs bath has a tub; water may appear tinted due to iron content but is safe. No drugs, smoking, or parties. Violations may incur a $100–$300 cleaning fee or early checkout.

Welcome to the writers cabin at wilder retreat on the saint Croix river. This place is for the dreamers, the star gazers, those craving the healing power of nature. The writers cabin is well appointed and designed for beauty and comfort.
Enjoy access to the river as well as our wood fired sauna and wood fired hot tub.
Equipped with a queen sized bed in the loft, cooktop, solar, and a pump sink. A gas fireplace keeps you warm in the winter. We invite you to come and rest, and leave restored.

The space
The Writers Cabin is a small pine cabin with a sleeping loft with a queen sized memory foam bed, sofa, and a built in dining area. The cabin sits behind our farmhouse at a distance over looking the river valley. The loft is accessible by a very sturdy steel and wood ladder but we ask that you choose to use it is at your own risk. There is a guard rail in the loft for safety. There is a two burner propane cooktop, as well as a pump sink (water can be heated with the tea kettle) for doing dishes or water, and the kitchen is equipped with basic cooking pans and knives, as well as dishes and utensils. The cabin is solar powered. There is a propane gas wood stove fireplace that keeps the cabin cozy in the colder months. We supply fans in the summer. Tea kettle, chemex pour over coffee maker, ground coffee, tea, salt and pepper and olive oil are provided as well as basic cooking supplies.
The cabin does not have a fridge so make sure to bring a cooler.

We are just a few miles away from, canoe/kayak/riverboat rentals, wineries,Orchards, the Franconia sculpture park, state parks, hiking trails, skiing, and great food. Please see the local guide inside the camper for local recommendations.

SAUNA/HOT TUB
Guests are able to sign up upon arrival (sign up sheet on sauna fence) for a two hour time slot to use our private Nordic wood fired sauna, goodland red cedar wood fired hot tub, and outdoor shower (shower and bath are only available in warmer months only approx May-October). Sauna and hot tub are year round.

*Please Note:

The wood fired hot tub requires approximately 2 hours of time (with occasional stoking of the fire and stirring of the water) from starting the fire to bring it up to the recommended temperature (104 degrees). It's a meditative process and can be checked on as you go about your stay. In colder temps it can take longer to warm up.

*If you prefer to have the hot tub pre-heated upon arrival or during your stay, please inquire about this additional fee/ service.

A note about the sauna:

The sauna is wonderful and I have towels and washcloths and water to create steam with essential oils and also highly recommend doing rounds of hot sauna and going outside to cool off, hot tub can also be used to cold plunge.. Make sure it’s going really well then fully load it, making sure the main stove door is shut and the bottom shutters are open fuller to allow oxygen to the fire, and it should heat up within 35-40 minutes. Ideal temps around 180.

Guest access
Guests can pull directly up to the cabin and park right by it. There is a key pad to access the cabin. Code will be provided to you in the check in details.

The river is just a 1/2 mile hike down with a portion of the hike that has a steeper incline on the river at back up. I would call it an intermediate hike.
Please do not drive down the access road. It is hiking only.

There is a federal campground at the river as well with picnic tables, fire pits, toilets and water access in the warmer months. Sand beach is off to the left once you reach the river.

Note: The cabin sits behind our farmhouse at a distance over looking the river valley. We will respect your privacy during your stay.

The private sauna/hot tub/outdoor shower area is available to sign up for.

Note: We provide water from our sink for the cabin which is well water that has been tested and is safe. However, most guests bring drinking water and just use the sink water for cooking and doing dishes.

Note: This is an off the grid cabin and we encourage you to unplug here. No WiFi, but you can use data or a hotspot. We have a decent signal here. The cabin is solar powered with a cedar outhouse, pump sink. Fans are provided but no ac.

Note: There are no window coverings in the cabin, this is on purpose to let as much light in as possible. The windows face the river valley and the woods provide their own privacy! But please be mindful if this is something you won’t be comfortable with.

Note: Our farmhouse and land borders federal land and the river, and we are also off of a road that will generate some noise... more so when the tourist season picks up in the river valley. We ask that guests remain on the road to the river on the map and don’t trespass on our neighbors land to the east and to the north.

We do have dogs and chickens at our farm.

What’s the bathroom situation?
There is a cedar outhouse.
Guests can sign up for a time slot to use our wood fired Nordic sauna, wood fired hot tub, and outdoor shower that is available to use in the warmer months. Sign up sheet is on the sauna fence.

I highly recommend a dip in the river to rinse off! The water is clean and refreshing. Once you reach the river, follow the path that leads to the left to access the larger sand beach. The Saint Croix river is an extremely clean river. The current is safe at the beach but please don’t try to swim across the river. Swimming is at your own risk as the current can be unpredictable. Please wear life jackets if you are not a strong swimmer.

“Can I check in early?”
I do my best to accommodate early check ins, but if the cabin is booked back to back I may not be able to.

“Do you rent kayaks or canoes?”
We don't rent, but there are some great places nearby that do! We highly recommend getting out on or in the river!

“Can you recommend places to visit or to eat?”
Please check the local guide that is inside the cabin for places to eat, drink, shop and local attractions! I love giving local recommendations! Please ask me if there is something specific you want a recommendation on!

“Is there water in the cabin?”
Yes, there is water in the pump sink for doing dishes. We ask that guests wash their own dishes and pots and pans etc. before checking out. Water can be heated on the propane stove in the tea kettle for hot dish washing water.

“Is there electricity?”
The cabin is solar powered. Keep in mind the battery can only provide a certain amount of electricity. Keep this in mind when plugging in devices or leaving fans or lights on.

“Is there a campfire area?”
Yes, we do have a campfire area (solo stove) and we supply wood for it. Keep in mind its not and all you can burn situation. Please burn only what you need. But we will refill wood for you if needed!

“Is there a fridge?”
No fridge in the cabin, so we recommend just packing your food in a cooler.

“Is there river access?”
Yes, there is a map to the river inside the cabin. It’s a half mile hike down with a steep incline on the way back up. Totally worth it. There is a campground at the river called “eagles nest” that has picnic tables, fire rings, bathrooms and a water source. The campground is maintained only in season.
The Sand beach is off the left once you reach the river follow the path to the left and you’ll find it.

Sit on the deck to hear the loons and enjoy the "best view on the lake" according to the neighbors. All new furniture and appliances are sure to have you comfortable as can be. Turn on the gas fireplace if you need to take the chill off, or just for some ambiance as you nestle into the couch for a movie.

The two bedrooms are appointed with new beds and linens. The couch opens to a comfortable bed for more personal space if needed.

The space
The entire cabin was very recently rebuilt from the floors up. New windows. All new appliances. New beds. New furniture. New deck furniture. Though we love and enjoy cats and dogs, due to allergies within our family, it’s necessary that we keep this space pet free.

The bedrooms are “cozy” (code for small), but comfortable. The second bedroom does not have a door and is enclosed with partition walls. This is not easy to see in the photos, but we want to be transparent with our guests.

All areas of the cabin are available for our guests to use, including washer and dryer. Laundry detergent and fabric softener sheets are available for use.

There is a 44 foot dock with a swim ladder at the deep end. I also have two sit-on-top kayaks (with life jackets) available for guest use.

Welcome to the Roost at Unity Farm. Stay under the stars in this luxuriously appointed space with in floor heat and be surrounded by woods and prairie. Ski or hike right out the door. Can be booked along with two other rentals at Unity Farm (The Coop and The Cottage) for a unique group, retreat or family reunion. Outdoor shower is available in the summer.

The space
Welcome to Unity Farm, where you will be staying either at the ROOST, the COOP or the COTTAGE. The coop is where chickens and pheasants were raised, with the cottage being the old granary, before its current restoration.

Until 1965 the town of Franconia was the last paddleboat stop on the St. Croix River, and the Franconia train platform and Taylor Falls Airport were located at the junction of Unity avenue and Highway 8.

This was an active Farm for the last 85 years for two families and several generations. The landscape has been restored to prairie, which provides a natural animal sanctuary harkening back to the days before America was colonized.

Unity farm is an extraordinary place, filled with wildlife, native flowers, and abundance of trees and forest, and private access to the St. Croix River. It is a place that offers peace and serenity, and surrounded by national forest property. There is a pond in the yard with occasional great blue herons, ducks and many turtles. On the property there are tennis courts, children’s swings and climbing bars, walking paths that lead through the woods and down to the river. (There is a small sand beach on the river at the end of the trail, but be advised that it drops off quickly, and the current can be strong). There is a tennis court, and even a baseball field and basketball hoop.
The landscape is glorious any time of the year, whether it is cross country skiing around the big field in the winter or hiking to the river for a swim in the summer.

We have restored 80 acres of land into natural prairie, which offers a variety of wild flowers throughout the spring and summer, and ends in the fall with tall blue stem grasses.

We have three cottages that we offer for rent. One is called “ the cottage”, and it is a two/three bedroom farmhouse with two bathrooms and a small kitchenette. The downstairs has a small living room, with an adjoining bedroom with a queen size bed. The bathroom has a walk in shower. The upstairs floor has four twin beds, with a partial room divider between the rooms. The bathroom has a pink clawfoot tub.
For cold nights in the winter, there is a wood stove downstairs, and for the rest of the year, there is a small front porch, and a few steps away is a large deck with a dining table and chairs.

The other cottage is called “ the coop”, and this farmhouse has a full kitchen, a downstairs bathroom with a walk in shower, and a larger living room with a large TV if so desired. Upstairs there is a queen size bed. This cottage has an outdoor deck that overlooks the restored prairie.

The third is "the Roost", it is a luxurious one bedroom rental with 1/2 bath surrounded by the woods and prairie.

The walking trails are marked clearly, whether you are on snowshoes or skis, or going for a walk through the woods or to the river. Please respect the private property signs and the DNR signs, there is rare flora and fauna in areas, and we want to preserve our natural resources. You will find the woods magical, you might want to pack a picnic lunch and sit on the bridge that goes over Lawrence Creek – there are two for you to choose from!

Please be courteous of our neighbors and pay attention to the areas that are designated for your use.

We are less than an hour outside of the cities, we invite you to come and experience this incredible environment!

The Little Red Cabin is on Lake Loveless - the Hot tub comfortably fits 5 guests. Cozy gas fireplace and granite kitchen countertops. Tile bathroom and huge shower with two shower heads for him and her. Stainless steel appliances throughout. Great view of the lake!

The space
Hot tub is on at 102F all winter long!! Every Channel on TV, Netflix, and HBO.

The cabin is toasty warm and the water is on! Kitchen, Bathroom are newly remodeled! All new Samsung and LG Stainless steel appliances throughout. Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer! Reverse osmosis filtered well water tastes better than bottled. Gas stove and oven. New microwave. Water softener for better showers and better cleaning.

Also small outhouse pit privy for using the bathroom outside.

Enjoy a relaxing stay at our 34-acre estate! Great for families or couples that want some peace and quiet. You are welcome to hike the property searching for mushrooms, harvesting plums and apples, and raiding the garden. Sit outside and watch for sandhill cranes, deer, and turkeys. Enjoy the indoors with multiple tvs, a pool table, bar area, spacious rooms, electric fireplaces, a cozy reading room, and a luxurious soaker tub. Near state parks, Taylors Falls, Wild Mountain, Hay Days and more!

The space
Enjoy many activities on the property and a close hike to Wild River State Park. The property boasts a 15-acre field that frequently has up to 100 deer grazing in the evening. Turkeys and Sandhill Cranes are regular visitors as well. You are welcome to hike the property searching for Morrell Mushrooms (we can point you in the right direction). The other side of the property has Shitake Mushrooms, plum trees and apple trees that you are welcome to harvest!
Take a walk down the private gravel road and about a mile away you will be able to enter the state park. You can also drive there and park on the road to hike. Just a few miles from there is the main park entrance that has many hiking trails, horse trails and cross country skiing in the winter (on select days they rent skis).
In the summer, kick back and enjoy the quiet of nature. Keep an eye out for the barn cats, as they spend time in the field mousing and doing their jobs! As the evenings cool off, feel free to have a fire. Sit in the backyard as the fireflies light up the fields and the frogs start singing in the nearby swamps. If you have horses, it is only a short trot down the road to enter the park which boasts miles of riding trails. We have roughly an acre of fenced-in pasture you are welcome to use, and the barn provides a lean-to for inclimate weather. Please let us know if you will be bringing horses so we can prepare the area.
The fall is beautiful! The trees are changing color and you will be in the heart of some great leaf-looking!
In the winter, head down to Wild River State Park and do some cross country skiing! Select winters they have snowshoeing as well. If you have your own set, you are welcome to use them about the property.
In the spring, the baby animals are running around, flowers are blooming and everything is coming out of hibernation.
Inside the house, enjoy several large-screen televisions, including a theater room. Shut the shades, turn down the lights and watch a movie! In the basement is also a pool table and a bar to belly up to. The master bedroom is waiting for you with a king-size Tempur-Pedic mattress. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the master bath's freestanding tub. Each bedroom boasts a memory foam mattress to ensure a restful night after your day's adventures.
