Our lovingly designed guest suite is situated 17 miles from the UMass Amherst Campus, 8.2 miles from Northfield Mount Hermon, 2 miles from downtown Turners Falls and 2.6 miles from downtown Greenfield. The space
This first floor suite has a private entrance and lock. It connects to the main house, but is separate and closed off providing privacy. It also connects to a beautiful sunroom. Both heat (baseboard electric) and air-conditioning (a window unit in spring and summer) can be controlled by guests for your comfort.

This beautiful sun soaked space offers a large credenza and complete walk in closet with abundant storage and extra bedding. There is a comfortable "Thread and Needle" mattress and queen sized bed with quality linens as well as a luxurious daybed that can be used as a couch and a twin.
The room includes a kitchenette. (Please note this is not a full kitchen and there is no stove). The kitchenette includes; a Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods, a smaller (3/4) refrigerator, microwave, electric water-kettle and a toaster. There are paper products, mugs and glasses, cutlery and cutting boards as well. Feel free to use the bathroom sink to rinse dishes but please be sure that all food scraps are disposed of in the trash.

The bathroom offers a full bathtub and shower with a large pedestal sink. There is a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, towels, hand soap, shampoo/conditioner and a first aid kit for guests' convenience.

In the large walk-in closet you will find a pack n' play baby crib as well, extra pillows and blankets and a massage table.

The baseboard electric heat can be adjusted to your comfort, but please turn it down when you leave for extended periods as it is very inefficient.

Children are welcome - we can provide a portable crib. One mile from downtown Greenfield in a residential neighborhood. Three mini-split heat pumps provide heat and AC. You'll have exclusive use of this unit, which you'll access via the exterior stairs. There's also a 5' by 7' balcony.

Douglas (father) lives in Northampton, about a 40 minute drive away, but is easy to reach via phone, text or email. You may also find him working around the house. Rory (son) lives on the first floor of the house and is happy to be of assistance.

Please note that while this AirBnb unit is finished, polished and lovely, the yard and exterior of the house are still "works in progress". If staying at a charming house with a lovely yard is important to you, this probably isn't the best fit.

This lovely home is located in a quiet corner of the northern Berkshires. It is located just over a mile from beautiful Tannery Falls in the Savoy State forest. It is a good home base from which to do area hiking as well as day trips to area attractions in the Berkshires.
The house has a large combined living room and fully-equipped kitchen with cathedral ceilings. Both bedrooms look out on the woods - one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. The bedroom with the double bed has a screened in porch. The spacious bathroom has a stand-up shower and a 2-person jacuzzi tub.
There is a hiking trail and wetlands in the woods behind the house. The house is also located across from Starseed Healing Sanctuary and Holistic Retreat Center, which has a number of trails and interesting spots to visit such as a peace labyrinth.
For cold weather stays, please note that the primary source of heat is wood stove. Cord wood, fire starting materials and instructions are provided, but you would have to be comfortable operating the wood stove yourself. The house is very well insulated and gets great solar gain on sunny days, so while it may not be needed at all times, the stove is certainly needed some of the time during the winter and shoulder seasons. There are plug-in electric heaters in the bedrooms so you don't have to operate the stove during sleeping hours.

There is excellent shopping 20 minutes away, in nearby Hadley and Amherst MA (5 college area), with wonderful locally owned restaurants, as well as chain type restaurants. It is very close to the Yankee candle flagship store, as well as a local very popular microbrewery that has outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. The Kiva Suite is spacious, (1,000 sq ft) and cozy with a retro/contemporary vibe. The partially open floor plan has a living area with a floor-to-ceiling glass view wall and 12-foot ceilings. The view is simply amazing. Our entrance is across from the confluence of two rivers, the Deerfield and the North. Walk down the driveway to spend a day where swimming is magical. If you love fly fishing, this is the place for you. Just walk to a prime fishing spot. Water lovers can enjoy the rivers and bask on warm smooth glacial rock formations or spread a blanket on the river-sand beach and watch eagles fishing nearby. The perfect day of swimming and fun in the sun! Yup, Paradise.

A queen bed sleeping nook is adjacent to the living space with a privacy screen. An additional private bedroom has a double bed and single mattresses. The Suite is similar to a large hotel suite. If you want complete privacy from your fellow occupants this is not your best choice. However, it's a great place for families and close friends. There is an ensuite full bathroom. The suite DOES NOT have a kitchen. It DOES have a microwave, coffee maker, larger mini-fridge, and toaster, and is stocked with glassware, etc. No kitchen, no worries, you will be just two miles away from so many amazing places to eat and drink that you will not want to spend time cooking. Shelburne Falls has some of the top-rated eateries in the state even though we're a small town.

The Kiva Suite occupies the entire lower level of our large contemporary home and has a no-contact, secure private entrance. The Suite is NOT childproof.

Charming one-bedroom apartment on an alpaca farm! Guests are greeted every morning by two alpacas, Peanut and Sebastian, who will come to your kitchen door, hoping to be fed an apple. The ground level garden apartment features a large eat-in kitchen, sitting room, cozy study 'nook', bathroom (with laundry facilities) and a separate entrance. High-speed internet and Wi-Fi are available. Beautiful views of the hills from the kitchen, peaceful and quiet.

Whether attending a graduation at one of the area's five colleges or many private schools or simply seeking some quiet time from a hurried existence, a stay at the Owl's Nest will make your visit a memorable one. Spacious 1 BR apartment in a 4-unit historic Victorian mansion, built in the 1880s by the family after whom the street was named. Sunny & bright fall/winter, cool & shady spring/summer. Wood floors throughout! Queen bed in BR, living room w/ queen futon couch + full sleeper sofa (curtains provide privacy from the rest of the space). 10 minutes from I-91, 20-25 minutes from Greenfield, Amherst, Northampton & Berkshire East. High speed internet and cell service with AT&T (Verizon is unreliable).

Apartment has tall ceilings, vintage marble (non-functional) fireplaces, a giant dining room, a tiny but fully functional kitchen and spacious private porch. Tons of natural light in fall/winter; in spring/summer the wildscaped yard turns the place into a woodland retreat and, along with ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room, keeps the interior comfortably cool. We provide all bed linens, towels and toiletries. Private fast WiFi network is not shared with any of the other units. You are welcome to whatever beverages and non-perishable food items that previous guests have left behind!

You will have access to the central hallway shared with our two tenants and all of the outdoor areas, including a back porch and side porch (front porch is private). In the summertime the yard has a small pond fed by a homemade aqueduct that funnels rainwater from the gutters. Not suitable for swimming, but nice for cooling your feet and laying about and listening to the bullfrogs!

Please note the yard has been "wildscaped" by the previous owners who founded a very well-known landscape design school, so while it may look unkempt the plantings are very intentional and mostly local pollinator-friendly species.

We do have two upstairs tenants so you will likely hear some normal human activity. This is also a cannabis-friendly property since cannabis is legal in Mass. We have a strict NO TOBACCO policy on the property but have no restrictions on the use of cannabis outdoors by tenants and guests.

There are laundry facilities on the premises, but our tenants have a pretty solid laundry schedule so it is not freely available. However if you do need to do a load in a pinch, we can probably work that out for you.

Manapouri Pond House
The Manapouri Pond House is located amidst the woods close to the beautiful village of Shelburne Falls. This craftsman style home was lovingly built by Bruce and his best friend back in 1989. A multi-leveled main deck features views down onto Manapouri Pond and also into a forested valley. Manapouri Pond is connected to the house with a number of paths that wind through an orchard and garden. At the center of the house stands an ash log that supports an octagonal spiral staircase.

The space

Manapouri (a Maori name) is the name of one of New Zealand s (where Bruce is from) most beautiful lakes. The 1st floor is an open floor plan with a wood burning stove as the centerpiece. The master bedroom has a feeling of being in a treehouse with windows all around the bed offering icredible views. A cantilevered deck is accessed from the upstairs 2nd bedroom and provides a birds-eye view of the property. The Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and pots and pans.
There are more nature-focused architectural surprises of stone and wood to greet the appreciative visitor.
Maureen and Bruce are long-time meditators. Their home is a special sanctuary for them and they are delighted to share​ it with others who can appreciate and respect this unique environment.

This modern 3500 sq ft house was built around sunlight and open space on a gorgeous quiet paved country road. The yard was carefully landscaped and less then a mile away are trailheads to beautiful protected reserves. The house includes a beautiful solarium, well equipped kitchen, and a porch overlooking a pond. Two and 1/2 miles away is the center of Ashfield. We have two very loving cats and an older gentleman dog.

It is a short drive to Shelburne Falls and Ashfield. It is 25 minutes to Berkshire East and 35 minutes to Northampton.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Our ranch house is on a lovely and quiet dead-end street off of Main St in Ashfield. It's set up for a family with 2-3 bedrooms depending on your needs. It's a simple, clean, family-friendly house. Nothing fancy but the rural environment is beautiful. Built in 1787 this antique Cape was carefully restored to its original design about 20 years ago. The house is set on a quiet road in the middle of fields, woods, gardens, and hiking trails. it is secluded with easy access to the natural world. The rooms are book-lined and filled with family objects. It is close to Berkshire East for skiing and snowboarding in the winter and whitewater rafting and swimming in the summer. Mass MoCA and the Clark Museum are within an easy drive.

A side porch has a swing, as well as a table and chairs for outdoor dining. It is a perfect spot for witnessing the breathtaking sunsets. The Main floor includes a bedroom with a Full size bed, kitchen, dining, living room, sun room and screened in porch. The upstairs includes a master bedroom with a Queen size bed and bathroom that connects to an additional upstairs bedroom with a full and 2 twin beds.

Norton Hill BnB is a traditional BnB with a host on site in the heart of scenic Ashfield; a destination of outdoor enthusiasts, writers, theater goers, and seekers of locally crafted epicurean delights! Guests may reserve an individual room with a private bath for their use. Common areas include the dining room, a sitting area, and a porch that overlooks the yard. A continental breakfast is included.

The space
The house was built in 1795 and retains much of its original character including hand planed doors, handcrafted hardware, and 6 fireplaces. The Blue Room is on the second floor. It has a queen and a single bed, a desk, a fireplace(not in use) and a private bath with a shower. If you are interested to rent more than one room for friends or family members, you can additionally reserve the Yellow Room (with a queen and a single bed) and unlock the Blue room bath’s door to the hallway to share the bath, or the Red room that has its own private bath.

Guest access
Ashfield is a walkable town. There is room to park a few vehicles in our driveway, and there is parking available on the road next to the BnB.

During your stay
We have our own quarters at the house. We keep a low profile, giving guests as much privacy as possible. We are accessible by phone or texting.

We are doing enhanced cleaning protocols in conjunction with Massachusetts guidelines relative to the Covid pandemic.
Dog guests must be approved in advance of a reservation.
The home is not child proof.

This mountain top retreat overlooks 3 states, MA, VT and NH! Enjoy the peace and quiet and all that the Berkshires have to offer. 20 minutes to Northampton. This area boasts fine trails and places for solitude. From Mass MoCA to downtown Shelburne Falls & Tanglewood there’s plenty to do!

2750 SF (3 BR, 2 baths). Originally built as a New England log cabin, its contemporary design is professionally decorated and amenitized. In the winter, a 4WD or AWD w/snow tires is required to access house.

The space
The entire 2750 square foot home is yours to enjoy including 3 bedrooms, log cabin great room with soaring ceilings, private master bedroom suite with huge soaking tub and bonus room with games and outdoor deck with stunning views. Queen bed in the Master Bedroom, Queen bed in the Guest Room, and a trundle bed with two twins in Bedroom 3/loft.

Guest access
The entire home is available and it sits on a private 4.5 acre lot. Follow an 800’ well maintained gravel driveway to the top of the hill where you’ll find ample parking.

We welcome families and registered guests, but do not allow any events or parties. Maximum occupancy is six people, unless otherwise agree upon in advance. Also, we don’t open our home to groups of any kind whether it’s sports or a professional organization.

Other things to note
The wood stove is for decorative purposes and cannot be used without permission and tutorial.

We live in the country so be mindful of ticks, bugs and local critters like turkeys, bears and deer.

The Primary Bedroom features a queen bed, Guest Room a queen bed, Bedroom 3/loft offers a twin trundle bed. Bedroom 3 has a full desk set up for easy remote work. The house is full WIFI access.

Our guests are welcome to use both floors of the home, and the basement, as needed.

The space
Modern comforts in this gorgeous, passive solar, post and beam house on 50 acres with a view of the Green Mountain foothills.

Two huge bedrooms (450 sq ft) and a third medium sized. One of the bedrooms has a king size bed, the two others have queens. There are two and a half bathrooms - one in the master bedroom. All bedrooms are located on the second and third floor accessed by a fairly wide spiral staircase (see picture.)

Passive solar house with radiant heat is spacious and warm; wood floors, expansive and well-equipped kitchen, large living room with wood stove, laundry facilities and a 34' x 12' deck that looks over an amazing view of the Green Mountain foothills.

The home is a third of a mile off a quiet country road with a pond, fire pit, streams, gardens galore. Field stone fire pit and gas grill for great summer and fall hanging out. There are awesome hiking trails, climbing areas, lakes and cross country skiing nearby.

This property has a little of everything - gorgeous gardens, a pond, great walks in the woods and access to the sweet town of Ashfield, MA. Ashfield is a quintessential small New England town with great amenities - Elmer's breakfast (voted best pancakes in New England by Yankee Magazine), The Lake House (a great lunch and dinner place right on Ashfield Lake), Country Pie (pizza and sandwiches) as well as Neighbors (a gas station and convenience store.) So while you'll be out in the woods you're not in the middle of no-where.

Ashfield has a wonderful town beach, town tennis courts (free), and two golf courses. There are many well marked town trails in several locations and the DAR State forest just minutes away with swimming and hiking galore.

There is a weekly farmer's market during the summer, and many farm stands that operate year round selling local raised meat, vegetables, honey, hard cider and a variety of local products.

The town has a film festival in September and the classic Fall event, The Ashfield Fall Festival which coincides with peak leaf peeking and Columbus Day weekend. The annual festival offers craft and art exhibits by more than 50 exhibitors, locally-grown and prepared foods, live music and dance, face-painting and other children’s activities. This cozy house is about 1/2 mile from the center of Ashfield on a quiet country road featuring fields, woods, horses, and a public golf course. Spacious rooms are decorated with comfortable antique furniture. A very large deck overlooks the backyard lawn, gardens and barn. Ashfield Lake and beach is about 3 minutes away by car. Hiking trails are nearby, and Berkshire East Ski Area is 25 minutes by car.

The space
There are three large bedrooms, a dining room that fits 10 guests comfortably, a well as a completely outfitted eat-in kitchen. The living room has a piano, television and a game table. A large picture window overlooks the scenic backyard which is open, grassy, and level with plenty of room to play, edged by a huge raspberry patch. A large furnished wooden deck spans the back of the house.

The space
Guests have use of the second floor that includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The common areas on the first floor include the parlor, a living room, a dining room with a table that seats ten and has a wood stove, a small bathroom with a shower, an outdoor porch with seating, and the side yard that has a large lawn suitable for lawn games. The parlor has a pellet stove, several chairs, a desk, a twin bed, and a futon couch. If a member of your group can not climb stairs, the parlor can be used as a bedroom, and there is a bathroom with a shower down the hall. We provide linens, towels, and bath products. Ashfield has no cell towers. We have wifi and a landline for guest use. A continental breakfast is included. I can adjust the menu by request to accommodate specific dietary needs.

Guest access
The home is on the corner of Main St. and Norton Hill Rd. Both are paved roads. We have parking for 4 cars in our driveway, and there is additional parking on the side of the road. There are no taxi services located within Ashfield.

We are providing enhanced cleaning and safety measures. The kitchen is not part of the guest space.. We provide dish ware and eating utensils for guests to use for meals they bring in. We wash guest's dishes. There is a small refrigerator, coffeemaker, tea kettle, toaster oven, and microwave available for guest use. If you want to have a party or meal for a large group and need to heat things up or something else, discuss your needs with me. I want to make it work for you!
