- "Was booked into the Holyoke room for two nights. Lovely to open the window while sleeping and hear the falls. The industrial decor suits the place. Felt the staff I met (Gail, Marsha, Shannon) were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast in their cafe was delicious. My only complaint is the walls are quite thin and I could hear snoring or conversations in the room next door. Would not deter me from staying here again though. Thank you for a great two night getaway!"

- "Really lovely place and organized with check in process! Common areas very welcoming and the breakfast service was friendly and super delicious. Only suggestion was to have a 2nd chair in guest room for 2 people, and a box of tissues handy. Lots of other conveniences were nice though. Coffee was super delicious local roasted! Thank you for nice stay. " - "Loved the beautiful area" - "Wonderful place, staff, and breakfast. I was not aware that my room would not have an attached bathroom (although it was private). Not sure how to determine this ahead of time, as I would rebook here if I had one of the rooms with a bathroom. Thank you for a great stay."

The historic Hill-Ross Farm is listed on the National Historic Registry
for being a stop along the Underground Railroad, along with other attributes.
Hill-Ross Homestead features a 19th-century farmhouse - the home for two important figures in the abolitionist movement, Samuel Lapham Hill and Austin Ross. Samuel Hill purchased the farm in 1841 from the Northampton Silk Company. In 1842, Hill and others founded the Northampton Association of Education and Industry, an organization with strong abolitionist views. The Association chose to locate in the Broughton’s Meadow (now Florence) section of Northampton due to the community’s thriving silk industry. Free laborers, rather than enslaved workers, produced silk, increasing the industry’s popularity among abolitionists. The Association’s property, including the Hill-Ross Farm, provided a store, school, common eating area and living space for its members. Because of the strong presence of the Association and silk manufacturers, Northampton became a haven for African Americans and abolitionists. Northampton proper often served as a stop for fugitive slaves traveling to Canada, and Association members encouraged fugitives’ permanent settlement.
- "I would highly recommend this guest house as a rental! In fact, I have stayed in dozens of rentals over the past 20 years and this is in my top 3! The decor and layout of the house was comfortable and very tasteful, embodying New England. This place is perfect for family, especially with the outdoor space and play structure and also cozy for gathering with friends. A short drive to Look Park and a short walk to downtown Florence, makes it a great location. It was also very quiet at night, a plus for good sleep! - "This house was great for a group of classmates back at Amherst for out 40th college reunion. We had a nice dinner on the porch, took advantage of the excellent air conditioning, and enjoyed having comfortable private space. Much better than camping in a dorm room, and enough to attract some infrequent reunion attendees back to the Pioneer Valley." - "Very spacious house with lots of options for activities. - "Convenient. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly. 😊" - "The apartment is in an older home that is being renovated. They kept the older look and feel, and furnished it with mostly vintage stuff. Everything was in good repair and good working order. It was perfect for us because instead of being on top of each other in a hotel room we each had our own bedroom and could have some private time. My son's bedroom even had a nook with a desk, which he loved. My mattress was good for me, memory foam I think. I didn't come to cook, but the kitchen had everything you'd need. Logged in to Hulu no problem on the TV in the living room for shows before bed. Super close to the main drag. The host went above and beyond to help with our stay. Would definitely stay there again."

- "This is a newly renovated carriage home. Very clean and easily and accommodated our party of 6. It's within walking distance to the downtown North Hampton area which made it very convenient. The home has a lovely kitchen but not could be improved with more cookware and glassware. All the rooms have air conditioners which worked great and kept us comfortable. The bathroom is 1 full bath with a shower and tub and a second bath that's a half bath on first floor. The host provided us with a lot of nice details about the home and local spots to visit in the area. We'd be happy to stay here again."

- "Overall, the house was acceptable, but just that there was no trashcan no paper towels the lens weren’t clean when I was there when I checked in and the bathroom tub had to be fixed multiple times due to the age of the house. Also, there was a fruit fly problem That started the day I moved in. On top of that, the guy made me leave a day early. I still haven’t been reimbursed for that. The house says it’s modern, but it is easily 70 years old all of the floors slant to the middle and the bed is uncomfortable because of the inlevel floor. Overall it’s ok but expensive fo"
