- "We stayed on a Friday night. We self checked in as we arrived late. We were able to do this because the host communicated with us well beforehand about what to do. It was really easy. The pictures of the rooms don't do it justice. It is very nice. Our room was spacious. It had a jacuzzi tub and shower. Each room has a separate bathroom. There is a TV in each room. It is super quiet, another couple stayed there with us but we didn't know until the next morning when we met them at breakfast. The breakfast is top notch. We had crepes, cheese souffle, yogurt, bacon. It was all well worth it and we wish we could have stayed longer."

3 Bedroom Beach House near Bay City State Park

This beach house has over 1900 sq. ft. of living space on one of the best beaches in Mid Michigan. The homes first floor has a spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen (all appliances, pots, pans, dishes, eating utensils, etc.), one bedroom (queen sized), and a full bath (both with tub/shower combinations). The living room includes a couch, two love seats and a table with seating for four in front of the fireplace. The upstairs has two bedrooms (one with a double bed and a single bed, the other with two twin beds and one double bed), one full bath with each bedroom having a private entrance to the bathroom without leaving your room.

In the summer, families can enjoy the warm water to kayak, stand up paddleboard, sail the Sun Fish, fish (from shore or nearby lagoon), or just enjoy the sandy beach, sit by a campfire in the fire pit or bicycle on the rail trail. All of these are included at no extra cost.

Outdoorsmen can enjoy nature. We are located one mile North of the Bay City State Park, where you can walk or ride the nature trails, check out the displays at the Visitor's Center, and children can enjoy the spray park or the wide sandy beach that is groomed daily during the summer. Even closer is the Tobico Marsh area. It has a walking trail that has several bridges and two 30 foot observation towers. The marsh itself has many different kinds of wild life, including active beaver dens. The paved rail trail that runs from this house (literally, right across the street) all the way around Bay City. Roundtrip is a 24 mile ride, but riding downtown is only about 6 miles where you can enjoy many local restaurants. A recently completed connector adds a trail that follows the Saginaw River to Zilwaukee.
Pickleball courts and tennis courts are a short drive away.
A new boat rental company opened in the area, Bay City Boat Rental. The Freedom Boat Club is in Bay City where members can reserve a boat for their use. For those who like to fish you can find walleye, perch, northern pike, and bass throughout the Bay. The Saginaw Bay is known for excellent walleye fishing. We are conveniently located half way between the DNR boat launch on the Saginaw River and the boat launch at Linwood Beach Marina, both are just 15 minutes away. There is fishing year round, but the walleye fishing gets going with the first warm weather in the spring. Winter activities include a seven mile, groomed cross country ski trail right out the back door and snowmobiling, and ice skating on the Saginaw Bay.

The property is located just two hours North of Detroit off I-75, only 45 minutes north of Birch Run’s outlet mall, 36 minutes from world famous Frankenmuth, and only 10 minutes from the Bay City Mall.

Built in 1867, the Averill Block is consider the oldest continuous use commercial building in the State of Michigan as well as the oldest building in downtown Bay City. The 12 ft ceilings and 8 foot tall windows allow for a light and airy feel. This peaceful home has everything you need whether you’re here to boat, fish, go to the beach or simply relax. The camper sits on my property which is on the Kawkawlin River. You can Kayak to dinner or lounge in the pool. You can fish at the seawall. There are hammocks and plenty of chairs. A bonfire pit, barbecue and Blackstone are available. There is some thing for everyone.
The space
This is a 21 foot Keystone hideout camper with one queen bed and a dinette that turns into a twin. Both beds have memory foam toppers. There will be fresh linens for both beds, three pillows, three bath towels, and three washcloths. There is also a dish cloth and dish towel for the kitchen along with some pots and pans and cooking utensils.

You’re welcome to join us for whatever we’re putting on the grill as long as you let me know the day before so we have enough food for everyone. There will likely be at least one morning that we will put breakfast on the Blackstone. We have laying hens, so the eggs are fresh.

Your stay will have the 19th century charm with modern amenities. The space
This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit on the main floor, spans the entire south side of the main portion of the home. The bedroom features a queen bed, blackout full-length curtains and even a noise machine! The open closet features vintage-style wall paper, a large mirror, flat and hanging space and room for your luggage.

The living room has a pull-out sofa bed for 2 additional guests, with all of the needed linens. Relax in front of the beautiful original marble fireplace, plenty of lighting for a good read, watching a movie on the Smart TV or even working at a dedicated desk.

The kitchen is fully functional with everything you need to prepare your own meals. Full-size stove and refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and much more! The table can seat up to 4, when expanded.

The bathroom is small but mighty! An original vintage sink and faucet adds that special charm. There are plenty of linens and hanging space for towels as well as a removable shower head.

The large porch that spans the entire width of the home, has views of the Saginaw River. There is a shared patio at the back of the home where guests can dine or relax.

The two-story home has 4 units available for nightly stays. This is a great place to stay if you love history, 19th century architecture and charm of the past. With 4 units, sleeping a total of 4 per unit, it is an excellent option for large groups such as weddings, family reunions, work travel, festivals, etc.

Guests are welcome to use the entire property. I have a small fence up so my dogs don't harass you, but you can open it and follow the sidewalk out to the water. Myself and my parents live in the other two buildings on the property, so I just ask that you don't enter either of those. You may see us walking past occasionally to get to our cars, but we will never bother you unless maintaining the hot tub or if there's an emergency.

Other things to note
The TV in the living uses the FireTV remote. It automatically opens to streaming options. If you want to watch live TV (satellite), hit the "settings 🔅" button on the firetv remote, toggle down and select input, then select HDMI1. The Dish remote will then work to control stations. Hit the "Home 🏠" button on the remote to return to streaming options.

The bedroom TV only streams on the fire stick, it isn't hooked to cable or satellite.

Our apartment/duplex is located in a bustling part of town and is above a commercial space, however you’ll have your own private entrance and no shared interior spaces. There is dedicated laundry in the entry of the apartment, once you go upstairs you’ll walk into the open concept living space. The bedroom is private from the living space and features a queen bed. The bathroom is next to the bedroom off the living space and has a walk in shower. We are located 5 minutes from downtown Bay City, 3 minutes from the Saginaw River that offers trails, Riverwalk pier, restaurants, etc. 10 minutes from Bay City State Park, 10 minutes from the hospital, 20 minutes from Midland, 15 minutes from Saginaw.

Originally built in the late 1800s, our historic district mansion had been converted into (5) apartments before we bought it in 2022. Our goal in purchasing this beautiful building was to bring back and emphasize the character that had been hidden by countless renovations. Spacious, light, and airy, this 2nd floor apartment features large windows, spacious bedrooms, and the character that you can only find in older homes. We hope you feel at home the minute you walk in the door!

We have recently completed cosmetic renovations to this unit and added a state-of-the-art high efficiency mini-split A/C. Our renovations for this unit were aimed at being approachable and comfortable. We wanted to emphasize the light and airy feel that already existed in the unit while keeping the charm of items like the brick fireplace and beautifully aged tile in the bathroom.
