From the moment you walk into this charming cabin you will feel the warmth and privacy of the home, the calm of the lake and the beauty from all its countryside surroundings. Nestled on Bailey’s Point with one of the best views of Barren River Lake sits this beautifully appointed 5 bedroom and 4 full bath log cabin. Sit, relax and enjoy the most beautiful sunset on the entire lake right on your back porch or bring your thirst for adventure on the lake by enjoying many of the hiking trails nearby. Our neighbor to the east is a quaint working dairy farm. You can see wildlife like deer and turkey in their fields while enjoying coffee on the front porch. Sometimes, when the wind is just right, you may even catch the smell of what makes the grass grow so good ☺️ To some, that may not be too pleasant and for some it may bring back great memories but either way it is temporary and hey, it lets you know you’re not in the city anymore, and that's why we come here!

This rustic log cabin offers two master suites on the top level each with its own bathroom. One master has a desk for office space. The main level has a bedroom with two queens and a full bath. There are two bedrooms in the basement along with a full bathroom. One basement bedroom has a full/twin bunk and an additional twin bed. The other basement room has a queen bed. There is also a fold out full mattress for two additional guests. The main floor boasts a spacious, well-appointed kitchen, bar seating , high chair, and anything you would need to prepare a gourmet meal. The kitchen adjoins the living room featuring a cathedral ceiling, flat screen TV and electric fireplace, perfect for relaxing after a day on the water. Step right outside the French doors and take in the picturesque views from the deck. Fire up the gas grill and enjoy a meal on the deck or side porch, also overlooking the lake. After dinner, bring the family downstairs to enjoy all the amenities of the walkout basement. In addition to a number of board games, it also features two additional bedrooms, and a flat screen TV for movie or game night with the family.The bunk basement bedroom has a tv equipped with a dvd only and there is a trunk full of DVD’s for your viewing entertainment! It also has an HDMI cord attached if you want to hook your computer to it. Walk right outside the basement door and enjoy a relaxing dip in the hot tub or just steps past the hot tub is a fire pit. We have firewood for your convenience to enjoy a night by the fire.

** Barren River lake cabins are somewhat high up....we would not consider it a "gentle slope" down to the water. It will take some guided steps toward the water but is certainly doable!

There are a number of local attractions at your doorstep. Bailey’s Point campground
is right down the street giving you easy access to a boat launch for a fee of $5. Enjoy the public beach or rent a jet ski or boat at Barren River State Park and Marina, just 10 minutes away. Don’t forget your golf clubs, the challenging 18 hole course situated in the beautiful rolling hills of the park is also just minutes away. Mammoth cave, the Corvette Museum or Beech Bend Park are also just a quick 40 minute trip from the cabin. And for the little (and big kids) there is Lost River Cave and Chaney’s Dairy barn approximately 40 minutes away. Chaney’s is a working dairy farm and features fresh ice cream, milk, tours and an awesome playground for the kids!! In the fall it features a great corn maze!

Sister property right next door! If your group is larger than 14, please contact me to discuss renting the second house to accommodate another 10 guests! New towels and linens throughout the main house! Covered back deck! There is plenty of room to eat, hang out, and relax in the shade and out of the rain when it comes! We have a great outdoor space with a fire pit and plenty of green space too enjoy. Our house is situated near the end of a private drive shared by 3 families. We like to call it "The Lake House". This 5 bedroom house (one of the bedrooms is a loft) will comfortably sleep up to 14 people although the rates are based on 12 occupants. Additional guests may stay at a rate of $25/guest per night. This is a no-pet (including companion animals and emotional support animals), non-smoking property. You will enjoy an amazing family room with comfy couches, a stone gas fireplace (used seasonally), a 65" smart TV, and a high ceiling with large windows looking out over the lake. There is a well equipped kitchen and dining area with a table that will seat 10. From the kitchen you can walk out onto the upper deck and relax or operate the available gas grill. The master bedroom is on the main floor and has a king bed and a door that leads out onto the back deck. There is also a full bath on this main level. Upstairs is the loft with a queen size bed, a small bedroom with a twin size trundle bed, and another full bath. The lowest level in the home has two bedrooms, each with a twin over full bunk bed. There is a bathroom on this level with a shower. The laundry is located just off of one of the bedrooms. There is a family room on this level that has a game table, a sleeper sofa, a gas fireplace (used seasonally), and a 55" TV with BlueRay, and DVD.
There is WIFI available throughout the house and on the deck. There is a large upper deck overlooking the lake with plenty of space for everyone! There is a lower deck with a porch swing, a couple tables/chairs, and a ping pong table. This is perfect for enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. The family room and one of the bedrooms open onto this lower deck.
The house is just a short walk from the lake down a set of easy stairs. There is dock access and the swimming and fishing is great from the dock too!

While staying at our house, you are just minutes from Bailey's Point Recreation area and public boat ramp, minutes from Barren River Lake State Park, and about 45 minutes from Bowling Green, KY. It would be easy to visit the National Corvette Museum, or Mammoth Caves.

This is a great place for families to enjoy some quiet, relaxing, fun times together. You will be staying in a fairly private area and although there are houses close by, this is a quiet neighborhood. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place!

This lake is managed by the Army Corp. of Engineers. The water level is regulated to be at summer levels from May through the middle of October. From the middle of October until the first part of May, the lake is at its winter level and all private docks on the lake are unusable. During this time, the lake cannot be seen from the house. The lakebed is still a fun place to walk and there is a small creek that flows year round. During the summer, the lake level stays fairly constant unless there are heavy rains or extreme drought. Because of this, we cannot guarantee what the water level will be. Please ask questions if you have any.

Simply Sailing is a quaint one bedroom, one bath cottage that sleeps four, located at Barren River Lake. The home has everything you need for your stay. The cabin has 2 downstairs bedrooms one with a king bed and the other a queen. Upstairs in the loft is a full and two twin beds. This lakehouse cabin is the perfect getaway for those wanting lake access, a dock and close proximity to the Narrows Marina (direct view from the dock); with all the amenities of modern comfort. We are located 15 miles from Barren River State Park and 17 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park. Note: The lake level drops beginning October 15th every year. Barren River State Resort park and marina is an easy 7 mile drive. Bowling Green is 40 minutes away and is home to hundreds of restaurants, bars, shops, National Corvette Museum, Bowling Green Motorsports Park and Olde Stone golf course. Horseback riding and golf at the Barren River State Park are a big hit. Finally, one of our favorites between Memorial Day and Labor is lake church, a waterfront gathering of Christians enjoying fellowship and God's creation.

Recreation: This home was built for making a lifetime of memories for our family and yours. Our 4 acre property offers plenty of room to explore, relax, and get away from everything. A gentle stream feeds a cove that borders our property which then feeds into the main channel of the lake. A canoe and Stand Up Paddleboards are available for your use.

If you'd like to bring your own vessel the Beaver Creek Boat Ramp only 2 miles away for launch. Target shooting is a family favorite and there is ample open space for football, baseball, and outdoor games of all kinds. Covered porches afford you the opportunity to be outside regardless of the weather with gorgeous views. HD Network TV is the perfect centerpiece for sports gatherings including NFL playoffs, NCAA Final Four, Master's Weekend, etc.

Twice annually the ultimate HighDef experience is the migration of millions of sandhill cranes just overhead southbound late fall, and northbound in early spring.

Other: This is a US Army Corp of Engineer managed lake. The levels vary significantly throughout the year. The lake is brought up to 'summer pool' each year in mid April. The levels start to drop in late October. You can see actual levels and 'target' levels online. Please inquire for the URL.

Welcome! This home is in a quiet neighborhood just north of Bowling Green. Just a short drive from Mammoth Cave National Park (19 miles), Beech Bend Raceway (9 miles), WKU (7.5 miles), and the Corvette Museum (5 miles).

The backyard is fenced and has a large deck with a peaceful view. There is also a grill and a patio set for outdoor relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet and family-friendly. A great home base for all of your adventures in Bowling Green!
The space
There is a spacious living room with a large sectional couch for plenty of seating. The dining room has chairs for 6. There is a full kitchen and pots, pans and utensils for your use. The bedrooms are all on the same side of the house. There is a queen bed in the main bedroom, and two full beds in each of the other bedrooms.
The back yard grass is patchy and still recovering from a period of being mistreated.

- "This was a great way to check out from the worlds fast pace. Make sure when you google this camp site with the city and State. 1997 Fisher Ridge Road. There are two number addresses in Kentucky the same. You want to use this city and state-Horse Cave, Ky. The owner met us at the Truck Love's Stop and showed us how to get back to the secluded camp site. I would not suggest to arrive when it is dark. It was very secluded which was great for my two dogs. I ask the owner where the nearest shower was located from the camp site before we traveled to the camp site. By the time we arrived the owner had built an outdoor shower and private area for the toilet. The shower had hot and cold water. The owner hauld water to us in a big plastic container. What a nice thing for him to do for us. He had cut up enough firewood for us to burn the whole time we were there. He told us if that was not enough, he would cut more up for us. He had trimmed the grass around the camp site by the dear stand. This was nice because we had a tent that we put up. My bf had his radio on in his truck and it ran our battery down. The truck would not start. We text the owner and he quickly came and jumped our truck free of charge. The owner gave us tips on protecting ourselves from ticks. The owner is very friendly and aiming to please. We want to come back next year."

This space includes three dedicated rooms, a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. There is a TV in the room, but we have "cut the cord" and offer a selection of over the air channels. Our attitude is that our guests come to Bowling Green to do more than watch TV, so we save you the cost of expensive cable service.
If you have more than two people staying in the room, we can provide an air mattress, as we only have one queen bed.

During your stay
David is our innkeeper. He lives on the first floor in unit 3. He keeps the place secure and is there to assist with your needs during your stay.

This is a small room (97 sq ft) with a high ceiling that has just enough room for one twin bed and a desk. It does have a closet. This room will sleep two, but the second person will sleep on an air mattress. The private (not shared) bathroom is several steps away, so please consider this before booking. Many years ago, this room was the Office of the President of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church women’s missions organization, Johnnie Massey Clay. I think she would be proud that it is now being used to lodge travelers to Bowling Green.

The room is near to State Street, so we offer ear plugs for those guests who are not accustomed to urban street noise.
