The house comfortably sleeps 10+ with its 3 bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils and dishware, a full range, and double convection ovens. Standup refrigerator and ice maker as well as stand up freezer and two dishwashers. Feel free to use the propane BBQ grill as well.

We all loved the kayaks that were on sight 2 adults and 2 children’s. There was not a beach area but we made due and still made some great memories. The owner actually stated that they are trying to get a beach area. But it is hard to get the ok to remove cattails. I believe we were one of the first families to stay here. So I believe the hosts are still in a learning curve and tried to make things right. "

This private, family-friendly, 5-bedroom, 2 full-bath cabin (constructed in 2011) is nestled next to wooded trails and on a point of a big lake that hosts fishing, boating, and swimming. Whether you are enjoying a wood-burning fire during the winter months or hosting a summer family dinner in the screen porch, this cabin allows for peace, privacy and natural beauty throughout the year. The cabin is equipped with wifi, central air conditioning /heat, full kitchen, deck, screen porch and new gas grill as well as charcoal grill. In addition to 5 bedrooms, there are bunk beds as well as a pool/ping-pong table in basement for those rainy or snowy days.

This 4.8 acre island is located just three hours northwest of Minneapolis in a very interesting part of Minnesota. While there are open grassy areas around the three authentic log cabins the older edges of the island have been seated in wildflowers and the whole effect is magical. Let your kids and dogs roam free without worrying about encountering others.

Inside the main cabin you will find scores of railroad antiques and memoribilia to entertain kids of all ages! The authentic log cabins were crafted by Amish families in the early 2000's and are beautiful. The cabins are air conditions and have Wi-fi and are very comfortable. The island also has a hand hewn cedar log sauna that hs a convenient electric sauna just a few feet from where you can jump in the lake and swim to our floating dock. The jewel of the island is the Tea House located in the center of the island. This is a one of a kind masterpiece of design and craft and sports a screened area in case the mosquitos are out in force(usually the mosquitos are blown off the island in a breeze).

There are multiple yard games supplied and we will guarantee you will have a wonderful time at this one of a kind paradise. You will need to bring your own boat to access the island which is less than 1/4 mile from landing. We have a pontoon available if you would like to rent at a very good rate

- "We had three generations of family stay on the island for a long summer weekend. There was lots of space to spread out for games, reading, napping, and kids and dogs running around the yard. We hung hammocks in the trees, had fires at night, gathered for meals in the guest cabin, and played games in the tea house. The water in Long Lake was so clean so we really enjoyed a lot of swimming and fishing. What once was a farm is now a private and peaceful 45 acre natural wonderland on a large lake (non swimming) lake. Stay in a modern comfortable remodeled barn surrounded by trees and stars! This property is great for family reunions and small groups. This modernized 100+ year old barn has two queen bedrooms, a large kitchen and living area, two tables for eating, a large deck with grill. The upstairs former hay loft is a large open space with three twin beds (two with trundles) and a disco ball for a dance party! Enjoy the fire pit and the dark country sky and see bright stars and fire flies at night. The lake often has loons and swans and if you are a bird watcher you will see many! The land has turtles, frogs, deer, fox, wild turkey and other wildlife - you will feel grounded and peaceful!

*The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, pots, pans, dishes, glassware, other helpful kitchen utensils, salt, pepper, coffee filters. A gas grill is located on back deck.

* We provide bedding for all beds, towels for rental guests, hand and dish soap for sinks. We do not provide shampoo.

The laundry room is in the garden level - you'll see the stairs which lead to the basement from the main floor.

There is MUCH to do in Ottertail County including beautiful lakes, rolling hills and trees. consider bringing bikes to enjoy the MN Central Bike Trail (access in 'downtown' Dalton)! Consider swimming in one of many clean lakes and rivers. The area has local dining, bike/snowmobile trails, fishing/ice fishing, hunting, other services like massage and local artists. There is a nature center in Fergus Falls, some great local museums in Alexandra and Fergus Falls. There are swimming areas, golf courses, biking trails and many scenic byways to drive and enjoy the natural beauty of this land valued by native Americans and Vikings in times past.

Cabin #5 is a 450 square foot, 2 bedroom, 1 bath lodge. Equipped with 2 queen size beds and 1 sleeper sofa, the space comfortably sleeps 4 but can handle up to 6. In the main room, there is a full kitchen, dining area, and living room. The space is kept comfortable by a propane furnace and central AC. Right outside the front door, there is an 10ft x 16ft deck and outdoor seating to enjoy.

- "Great place for a family vacation. Lots of kid friendly activities. Pet friendly. Cozy and quite. Very clean. Just an easy atmosphere. Good fishing." - "Booked and received a message the property I booked wasn't available so that canceled it and put me in another cabin. No check in info was received. Got to campground and was told "Didn't you cancel your reservation?" Tried to explain to husband(?) And he said it was late and We'd deal with it in the morning. Never heard from him, so I assumed he figured it out. Never received info for WiFi. Check in instructions. etc. Cabin did not have a locking door. No bath towels or wash cloths. No soaps, etc. Looked back in listing and all it says is "linens provided" so I guess that's my mistake for assuming. Decent enough place, but for the price, I'll take the essentials such as soap and towels to shower as I don't carry these things while traveling."

- "This is a hidden gem that all should know about! I do not have enough words to tell you how wonderful it is. The area is kept maticulously clean. There are flowers everywhere. The outdoor bathrooms and showers were kept very clean. There are tons of things to do, ping pong, walking pool, board games, bike rental, great park on the premise for younger kids, volleyball, bags, toy on the beach for kids and other things to do. You can rent a pantoon or paddle boards. Management is very attentive to your requests and needs. Walmart is only 15 minutes away so you don't have to travel with food. I really enjoyed that there was cabins, tents and RVs in the same place. The fire pits are wonderful and I loved that they had reasonably priced wood there. This was a last minute VRBO booking for us and I am so glad we got to go here! You will not be disappointed! Thank you for making our vacation wonderful!"
