Welcome to "Dad's Hangout". House was purchased for me to live in. When my daughter didn’t want me to move out it became dad’s hangout. When purchased the house was bank owned. The house was unlivable when purchased. The work on the house was centered on trying to reuse as much as possible. The house has a way to go for completion but is ready to rent.

Located in a 1950's area of town. Home is centrally located in a Quiet Neighborhood. Close to shopping and restaurants. Go South for Old Town with local merchants and family-owned dining establishments. Or go East for a modern experience. Mostly chain restaurants and shopping. Also, the mall is located there. Thrill-seekers can try a range of adventure sports while our museums, shops, and galleries are perfect for those looking for something a little gentler.

With its new plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical service the house is safe and comfortable. Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to shopping.

Update 11/8/2024: Due to changing laws VRBO has requested me to cancel additional fees. Cleaning fee has been removed. The cleaning fee was in place to discourage one-night stays. I have changed to a minimum of two-night stays. Pet fee has been removed. No more pets allowed at this time. If you have already booked a stay with pets that is okay.

We have within the past year installed a privacy fence in the back yard for our guests privacy. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom a double authentic cast iron ornate bed in the guest bed room. This is a non smoking home. No open fire/flame candles allowed.

Guest bathroom has a tub and shower unit while the master bathroom has a tub and separate shower. The master bedroom has a king size bed while the guest bedrooms have queen sized beds.

The internet was fast and there was a nice dedicated work space that I used the entire month with no issues. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The living room was a nice place to hang out in the evenings to watch tv or a movie or play video games. The back patio was a nice place to eat lunch during the day while looking out directly onto the golf course. The garages were big enough for our two cars (and even a third if needed). Overall it hardly could have been better and we are so happy that we chose this place!"

Farmington Lake is a very short drive away and is a wonderful place to go and relax without having to travel too far.

If your on a extended work trip or a southwestern adventure this place will be a cozy comfortable place to prop up your feet and rest your head in the four corners.

We have weekly and monthly discounts and a flat $50 cleaning fee. all we ask is that you treat it like its your own home and double check for personal items when your leave.

You will also have storage space in the fifth wheel for your luggage.

Farmington is truly the perfect location for anyone seeking adventures in the Four Corners Region. Durango, Moab, Monument Valley, Bisti Wilderness Area, and Navajo Dam can all be enjoyed during a day or weekend trip.

Your personal living room offers space to enjoy your morning coffee, read, or put together a good puzzle. During the cold months, you can enjoy a toasty fire with the wood burning stove. Exercise equipment, your individual pantry space, and the shared laundry are also in the living area. My two dogs stay in my area of the house. However, they are used to other dogs as I have fostered dogs for over 10 years. I do have a cat who has her own room but roams my living room for short periods of time while I am home. There are two large pet gates that separate your suite from my section of the home. For guests with a dog, the large, fenced backyard can be accessed through your suite’s living room.

The back bedroom also has a queen bed and shares a bathroom with walk in shower with the middle bedroom which has two twin beds/ trundle bed. We have a PAC n Play for baby and a high chair. We have dishes, pots and pans, refrigerator, stove and microwave and a dishwasher for your convenience. We have Wifi and a Roku flat screen tv. This is a great place for children.

Willow House is on a dead end gravel road, and we live in a quiet country neighborhood. Our road can be muddy when its been snowing or raining, but regardless it is passable to all vehicles. Willow House is an older vintage trailer and as such acts like one. We have had a lot of fun working on this home and it has come a long way. It is perfect for your family and your furry pet. We accept well behaved dogs, but please no other animals. We do not want kitties in the house, because of allergies. We trust you will appreciate that we try to keep the home "allergy free" to the best of our ability. Because we want to keep this home allergy free please "no smoking" inside.
