We are on the quiet northeast bend of Tybee Island, just 200 ft across the road to the beach boardwalk. Beautiful beach with good fishing & swimming. Tybee is a great bike riding community. The whole Island is only 3 miles by 1 mile. However, the Island has affordable golf cart rentals & car taxi service for $5pp anywhere on the Island.

We are a locally owned & family operated company. Our rental property is right past the 2nd traffic light; a couple houses behind the Sugar Shack on the left. We are also walking distance to several restaurants and bars. Other restaurants, ATM, gas station, liquor store, shops, laundry mat, hair salon & Tybee Post Theater just 1/2 to 1 1/2 blocks away! The Lighthouse & Museum are also just a short few blocks away.

The Location

This modern 2 bedroom 2 bath house located on Tybee Road (US 80) is convenient to just about everything on the Island’s North End, including beach, dining, shopping, the Island’s premier wedding chapel, and lots more for your fun in the sun. While the house is not actually on the water, your day in the sand or on the water is close by. Like to spend some leisurely time on the beach, walking, fishing, or even watching ships coming to and from the Port of Savannah? The beach along the Savannah River side of Tybee is just a quick four-minute walk from the house (with boardwalk access over the dunes). Captain Mike’s and Captain Derek’s Dolphin Tours are just down the road (less than 3 minutes by car), and of course there’s swimming and sunning along the Atlantic at the island’s popular North Beach (1.3 miles by car). The Tybee Island Wedding Chapel is very close- about 1000 feet away! If you prefer the busier South Beach with its pier and pavilion, bars and restaurants, it’s less than 3 miles by car. And best of all, the very popular Tybee Oaks collective of unique gift and art shops, along with famous Huc-A-Poos for pizza, drinks, and entertainment, is steps away.

The House

Starting as a house up in the trees, the exterior was reimagined as a quaint “dockhouse” - without the water of course! Corrugated metal siding, a red metal roof, and a large wrap-around deck perfect for watching the sunset over the marsh, or maybe just for relaxing or dining under the century old live oak tree out front. Access to the home’s interior is by stairs leading up to the deck above. The house was renovated with bamboo flooring throughout as well as updated appliances and fixtures. Each of the two bedrooms has a queen bed. There is a single movable roll-away bed in the front bedroom. There is a 5-person occupancy limit (including infants and pets as well) unless prior approval has been given by the hosts.

We kindly ask dog owners to act responsibly with guest pet(s) and follow the guidelines listed below: • Pets must be current on vaccinations. Proof of vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian is required and must be available upon request. • Maximum of TWO (2) PETS (dogs) allowed. • Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet(s) including grounds. Please immediately remove and dispose of any waste. Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitmarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets
If would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

Long-Term Stays
For our long-term stays, 30 days or more, we require a deposit and our office will reach out to you for details. For 60 days or more long-term stays, we require an additional clean.

This hidden treasure is conveniently located towards the north end, but close to everything.
The oversized 1 bedroom house has three screened in porches to let you enjoy the ultimate relaxing adventure after a long day exploring the island or enjoying the sun.
The house accommodates 5 people ( 4 adults maximum per City of Tybee code *this is strictly enforced*).
Bedroom is oversized and has a king size bed. The corner ottoman is a pullout twin.
In the living room, the couch converts into a queen sleeper.
The full bath is located off the bedroom, while the half bath is in the hallway.
To add to the ease of getting everyone cleaned up after a day of sand, there is an outdoor shower.
Kitchen has all the appliances that you would expect. French door refrigerator, ceramic top double oven range, farmhouse sink and dishwasher. Plenty of cabinet space to store your food!
A huge granite top island that easily sits 4 or more with plenty of room for food prep.
There is a dining table for the family meals..
The hallway has a laundry closet with standard size washer/dryer.
Living room has a large couch and a comfy recliner!
There is a total of 3 Smart TVS located in bedroom, living room and on that spacious screened in porch.
Internet with WiFi throughout house.
The high ceilings with an abundance of windows covered with plantation shutters give this home the feeling of wide open space. Totally a great place!
Now let's talk about that porch.
Screened in (NO BUGS), 2 ceiling fans, sunshades for privacy, plenty of sitting room and a TV!!!
The front porch off of the bedroom is also screened in. Great place to sit and drink your morning coffee. Do a little people watching!!
The downstairs area is also screened in. There is a foosball table and an arcade type basketball game for the kids or adults.
Two bikes and 4 beach chairs are available.
The pool/spa and enclosure was completed February 2022.
Access is thru the bottom level and you walk into a screened room that contains the pool.
It is a wonderful feature for couples and small families.
Pool can be heated with daytime hours for $50.00extra per day.
Please note that heat for pool/spa is not available unless temp is above 70 degrees. Price for stay will be adjusted accordingly.
Pool/Spa is available from 8am to 10pm. There is a city noise ordinance, and the house is in a residential neighborhood, so we must be good neighbors!
Heated option is not available for pool in winter, but spa can be heated when air temp is above 60 degrees.
Now how about that location???
Well, the North end of the island is growing in popularity in leaps and bounds.
The North Beach is just a few blocks away and you can access the beach in a couple different directions.
Close to the Lighthouse, North Beach Grill, Tybee Museum, Shriner Club, Tybee Fort, Tybee Theatre and the Jaycee Park is just about 1/2 block away. That place has a great walking trail, picnic area and playground equipment.

Starfish is located on the ground floor in the middle of paradise. You are within walking distance to everything you need. It is walk in ready for local beach life living!!! The sand is 400 steps away. It is only a 3 minute walk to the beach. Starfish a clean, comfortable, and affordable way to experience the local beach life. Come check us out for the weekend or stay for the week and really relax.

- "Starfish was cozy and close to the beach. The room was clean and check in was extremely easy. The room is located next to a pizza place and across the street from a liquor/convenience store. We rented bikes from Tim’s and they delivered and pick up. It’s a 10 min ride to the bars/restaurants at the end of the island and less than 5 to the beach. The property manager (Bonnie) was great at communicating with us throughout the process. Only thing missing was a pool. Def recommend."

Situated on a quiet street in the North End of Tybee you can enjoy a restful vacation experience without giving up convenience. Outside amenities include a cozy furnished screened porch on the front of the home perfect for that morning coffee. There is also a fenced backyard with a nicely furnished back deck with table seating 6, gas grill, and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. A great bonus is the Corn Hole set, for hours of extra fun!

There are many modern touches throughout the cottage including a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and washer and dryer. The comfortable and cozy living area includes a 42 inch flat-screen smart TV and a Queen sleeper sofa for extra sleeping capacity. The bright and open dining area can seat up to 6 at the table.

Mellow Yellow can accommodate up to 6 guests with 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, both with tub/showers. The primary bedroom is furnished with a King-size bed and a 37 inch flat-screen TV. The guest bedroom is furnished with 2 Twin beds and must be passed through to access the primary bedroom. The twin room features a nice curtain feature for added privacy.
