Hidden Gem is a lovely home,out of the way of the hustle and busell. County setting with a huge 4 acre front yard, with a creek close by to go for lovely walks. Maybe it is a time to get away from the busyness of life. Lets breath some fresh air.
Maybe even play some kickball outside with the family. A fire pit for some s’mores . Grills and seating area, star gazing is a must at this location!!
With this home being able to host 10 guest.
There is a large fully stocked kitchen. Even crock pots. There are 10 seats at two dinning tables for the comfort of our guest.
There is also. A lounge chair, and a sofa chair with an ottoman that could be used to sleep children for more sleeping comfort.
The couch is large enough to sleep three people if needed. We have extra blankets if needed.
We have baby items as well. A crib and a play pin and a baby sleeper. Don’t forget toys tooo….High chair in the chair.

The space
A cozy lakehouse with lot right on the water. Plenty of deck and dock space to enjoy eating, fishing, swimming, boating, sunbathing and whatever else you may fancy. You will enter the house and be greeted by gorgeous views from a spacious dining room that seats 12 people. The dining room also has barn doors at the end of the room holding onsite laundry. Moving from the dining room you will enter an open concept family room and kitchen area. There is plenty of comfortable seating and the kitchen that is stocked with cookware and plenty of dining essentials. The leather couch turns into a very comfortable queen size bed and the cloth couch can be an additional sleeping spot for a single person. There is a full bathroom right off of the kitchen. Up a just a couple of steps there are two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have 2 king size beds. The bedroom to the right has the second full bathroom.

Also, please note that per Alabama state law, Alabama residents are responsible to obtain a boating license and must be 12 years of age or older to operate. - "Great stay w/ family to experience life on the lake. Was able to do some fishing and boating w/ our kids and extended family members – great memories. Beds were very comfy, nicely supportive, also had plush tops, like a cushy overlay that minimizes pressure points- plenty of pillows of varying firmness (easily find what you like), various types of blankets, and extra sheets in the closet. The shower has strong water pressure with showerhead on a cord. Bathroom towels are all 100% cotton, very thick, and plenty of them. Even the toilet paper was high quality. Kitchen, a nice assortment of coffees, plenty of glassware, mugs, plates, etc. A very large Lodge cast iron skillet we really liked, other skillets with a nonstick coating, and a couple med sized pots with lids without nonstick coating. The knives were sharp. There were some standard spices, and various condiments in frig. The kitchen trash can was oversized with plenty of extra trash bags. We visited in 90’s degree weather. The A/C worked great, and the box fans for extra circulation. The couches are just as comfy as they look, and the TV has a very sharp and vivid picture. The dock was a great place to gather with guests. There were plenty of brim around the dock and catfish, bass & crappie within reach. Beach towels over the W/D. Boat was fun. The sunsets are awesome. Host was very responsive and helpful. Great stay."

The Blue Heron Guest House is our 2 bdr/1 ba 710 sq ft modern designed guest house that sits on our 4.5 acres lake front property with 650 feet o water frontage. Ideal for a family of up to 4 or 2 couples for a retreat. This guesthouse is close to everything, 30-35 minutes to Ft Benning/Columbus, pine MTN/Calloway Gardens & Auburn/Opelika. Private Hot tub, fire pit and hammock. Free access to the shared boat ramp, multiple piers, beach area, chairs/loungers, kayaks, fishing gear and more. You just need your Alabama or Georgia fishing license. Only the specific guests noted in the booking are allowed on the premises without prior approval from the host.

We have lovingly named our 4.5 acres the Herons Nest. On the property we have the main house on the water in which we live. Additionally, there is a guesthouse (Blue Heron) and cottage (Green Heron) that are both Short-term Rentals that can be rented separately or together but are spaced out enough that you have your own space and privacy. Both places have their own individual fire pits, hammocks, patios and share the pier, beach, and boat ramp located in front of the main house. The boathouse on the water is for the owner's use only, please don't go on the boathouse.

Additionally, the hosts live on the property and respects our guest's privacy, but we will be sure to say hi if we see you out and about in the shared areas.

- "Look no further! Honestly, this is the best rental we have stayed at! Howard and Anjel are very responsive and considerate hosts. The house is very nice, and extremely clean. Cleanliness is a very important factor for me and the Blue Heron was exceptional. Well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook a nice meal. There is a grill, a fire pit stocked with wood for us to use. Extra bedding and towels. They really thought of everything you might want during your stay. We used the kayaks and paddle board. We try to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful family memories at the lake, in our home. For us to do so, we would truly appreciate it if you could follow these house rules and confirm that it as well as the safety/security information has been reviewed within 48 hours of your booking. This is to ensure that if there is any reason the House Rules cannot be followed, you, our guest, will have the option of cancelling the booking penalty-free, as we have a Strict Cancellation Policy after 48 hours.

• Guests must be 25 or older to book this home. The person who books must be staying at the property for the entire duration of the reservation. There are no third-party bookings allowed. If it is discovered that a booking was made for someone under 25 after check-in, all occupants will be required to vacate the property immediately. Reservations made in violation of this policy are subject to cancellation without refund.
• Keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10 PM - 7am. We have very respectful neighbors and want to make sure we respect them as well.
• Absolutely no vaping or smoking inside the home. If there is a smell of smoke inside, a $200 cleaning fee will be applied to remove the odor. Just step outside, it’s a pretty great view anyway!
• Parking is provided in front of the home. We do ask that at no time you have more than three vehicles, as space is limited. Please don’t block the neighbor’s driveway.
• Only registered guests are allowed overnight. If you’d like to have someone stop by, that’s totally fine. We just ask that you keep it small so it doesn’t become a party.
• We have a gas grill in the back yard. Please don’t take the grill to the back deck or down to the dock. Keep it where it is for everyone’s safety. The grill is to be used by the guests who stay at the home and is not to invite others to the home as it will be considered as hosting a party. Please clean up after yourselves and keep the grill clean. You will also need to add your own propane to the grill, as it is not supplied.
• There are no parties or events allowed. This property has a zero tolerance for any events or parties. If you’re looking for a place to host an event or party, another property may suit your needs more appropriately.
• If guests are found to have had a party without host permission, which results in extra cleaning, guest will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
• Please acknowledge that occasionally, we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks left behind by previous guest or ourselves, if they are not empty. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. However, ultimately, it is up to the guest discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for these consumables.
• Please do not rearrange or move our furniture. The trundle bed in the 2nd bedroom should only be used to sleep on and should be pushed back in when not being slept on. There should be no jumping or walking on any beds at any time as it could result in breaking the bed, this could result in an extra fee being charged for damage to the bed.
• if guests are suspected of carrying and or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged and guest will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
• Do not unplug the Wi-Fi router, security cameras (only the outside of the home is monitored), or smart home devices. This will result in a $150 tampering fee.
• We do not allow any pets on the property.
• We charge a replacement fee for missing or damaged items. Accidents happen, just communicate with us so we can make it right.
• We don’t believe you should have to pay a cleaning fee and be expected to clean a list of things before you leave. All we ask is that you pick up any trash you may have and throw it away. If you find that you need an outdoor trash can, you’ll find ours at the end of the road with our address numbers on it. Please do not leave trash outdoors at any time without it being in the outdoor trashcan, as this will attract wild animals and insects. Any trash left outside may result in an extra cleaning fee. Please also rinse any dishes left in the sink. This allows our cleaners to clean a bit faster and helps us keep our cleaning fees low.

INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR SAFETY AND SECURITY:

- Since the home is right on the water, we ask that you please supervise children at all times around the dock and shoreline. The deck and dock can get slippery when wet, so watch your step, especially in flip-flops. Life jackets are strongly recommended for kids while swimming, you will we need to bring your own, they are not provided.

- We have exterior security cameras on the front and back entryways of the home for everyone’s safety and security. Please know that we respect your privacy and do not have any cameras inside the home.

Accessibility: This is a single-story mobile home that is affixed to the property, entryway does have steps that lead down to the front door, back deck has steps on the backside and side and there are steps leading down to the lake. Please note that the steps can get slippery when wet and use caution. There are no handrails on the steps leading down to the home or to the lake, there are handrails on the back deck steps. There is a metal ladder on the dock that extends into the water. Please use all of these steps/ladder carefully and at your own risk.

Now that the hard part is over, we do want you to know that we believe the great majority of guests are wonderful and respectful! We understand that you want to relax and enjoy your time at the lake and we want that for you as well! We hope that if you choose to stay with us, you have a wonderful time of making memories and relaxing. Welcome to Lake Harding Lakeside Retreat! This 4 bed 1 bath camper is all you need to relax and reconnect with nature. This relaxing camper features a 24" tv, WiFi, mini fridge, two burner stove, microwave and AC. The space is great for a overnight stay or a camping/glamping trip!! Approximately a 10min walk to the Lake Harding dock, 20min drive to Tiger Town Opelika, and a 5min drive to local gas/convenience stores. This camper is also equipped with a picnic table, grill, fire pit and additional seating. Great for hosting a bbq or bon fire!!

This is a Forest River Heritage Glen named "Dolly", reconnect with nature in a beautiful appointed camper!

“Dolly” has a private queen bedroom and a generous bath. The large living room includes 2 recliners, a 52” TV and a sofa which converts to a comfortable queen sized bed. Wrap around windows give a fantastic view of the surrounding nature. She has additional sleeping space on the pull-out couch and the dinette. A well equipped kitchen and indoor fireplace will enhance your stay. WIFI, firestick TV, Keurig, outdoor grill, and indoor/ outdoor stereo will all make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

You will love the lake access and outdoor dining. What a terrific way to unwind!

I have 2 incredible RV's on adjacent sites with private nature views and a short walk to the water. They can be rented individually or together for a larger gathering. "Reba" is comfortable and relaxing, perfect for families or a friends getaway. "Dolly" features a larger living area and is perfect for 2 couples.

Both RV's have incredible outdoor living areas and lake access.

- We have a pet limit of 2 pets per reservation.
- No aggressive breeds.
- Weight Limit 50Lb.
- We will charge a one-time non-refundable pet deposit of $250 (one time charge)
- We reserve the right to decline pets that may not be a good fit for the community.
Mid-Term Stay Prep:
We are a mid-term housing company, though we occasionally offer short-term stays. If
you’ve booked a short stay at a great rate, we’re happy to host you! However, please note:
 This property is stocked for mid-term stays, so we provide only starter toiletries
(one roll of toilet paper, paper towels, and a trash bag).
Please keep this in mind and bring your own toiletries when you come.
Maintenance Access:
 Annual Preventive Maintenance: Some properties have scheduled checks for
smoke detectors, HVAC filters, etc. We will notify you in advance if access is
needed.
 Emergency Maintenance: If urgent repairs are required (e.g water leaks, electrical
issues) and we cannot reach you within [X] hours, we reserve the right to enter the
unit.
Occupants & Guest Policy:
 The main occupant must be listed on the reservation.
 The reservation must reflect the accurate number of guests and pets.
Mailbox Access:
 Mailbox access is available upon request and is not guaranteed.
 Processing time: It can take up to 24 business hours to be submitted to the
property.
 A refundable key deposit is required (amount: $35). This will be returned when the
key is returned.
Community Guidelines:
 Respect shared spaces & amenities.
 Keep noise levels low during late hours to ensure a peaceful environment for all
residents.
 Dispose of garbage & recycling properly in designated areas to maintain
cleanliness.
