Colin was extremely easy to communicate with, from the second I messaged him that I was interested in the rental, up until our departure. The house was VERY clean and comfortable. Fully stocked with paper goods and toiletries. The kitchen had everything you need. There is a charcoal grill and a propane griddle, as well as a fire pit with tons of wood! After a long day on the water, it was amazing being able to relax by the fire out overlooking the lake. The house is located in a nice quiet part of the lake. My boys were swimming off the dock and didn't worry about boat traffic at all. We brought our own fishing gear but Colin had poles and bait/lures at the house. My son caught a huge cat fish off the dock the first night of our stay and he hasn't stopped talking about it yet. Thank you Colin for allowing us to stay at your beautiful lake house. The Retreat at Lake Blackshear offers fine dining at Cordelia's, and the Cypress Grill has a great outdoor atmosphere on the water. Another favorite local spot for pizza is The Cove, only a few minutes away. Nearby Daphne Lodge is a wonderful place to eat and was featured in Southern Living Magazine. Or drive in 15 minutes to Cordele and have steak at 16th Avenue East. You won't be disappointed!

There are also 2 hammocks, 2 kayaks, and a canoe all available for your use to make your weekend more enjoyable.

The house was very clean and there was plenty of room for the entire family. Everything was comfortable, cozy, and the house was fully stocked with everything that you would need for your stay. We used the two kayaks that were provided and brought our own inflatable paddle boards. It was a great spot for fishing off of the dock and the lake was beautiful. We tried the suggested restaurant for pizza and store for snacks. There is a Walmart only fifteen minutes away by car- if you need to pick up anything that you forgot- like we did. The grill was nice, as well as the fire pit for sitting around and enjoying s’mores. We will definitely return as this was the perfect lake house for family fun."

The house was built this way in order to enjoy the view of the lake and also the incredible sunsets. The house has a huge wrap around deck on the second floor. The home also has a covered pavilion for hanging out, having a glass of wine, cocktail or beer, and for grilling. There is plenty of seating under the pavilion which also has 2 hanging lounge chairs. The dock is a great place for fishing or just hanging out to catch some sunshine. Duck hunting is a huge season on the Lake. Boat Rentals and Jet Ski rentals are available at the local Marina. There is also a local lake tour guide with an extremely nice pontoon for rent.

We have a 4 bedroom 2 bath home over looking one of the best parts of Lake Blackshear. We are directly across from the Georgia Veterans State Park. Only a 5 minute drive by boat or car to the two restaurants at the state park, Flintside Marina Restaurant, World Famous Booger Bottom and in the car we are 5 minutes away from The Cove, Daphne’s fine dinning, the Dollar General and Striplings Country Store.

In the master suit you will have a queen bed, the first guest room will offer a queen bed, the third room has a queen bed and the fourth room has 2 sets of bunks beds.

We have a boat dock with two boat slips if needed.

We also own the house next door and will be able to assist with any of your needs with easy.

There are no interior stairs between the two levels. To access the main living area upstairs you must use one of the two outdoor staircases.

We have driveway parking to accommodate up to seven vehicles. Please do not park vehicles in the grass due to underground drain lines and irrigation that can be severely damaged.

No large parties or gatherings will be permitted. We ask you be respectful of our neighbors and observe quiet time outside the home between 9pm and 7am.

- "Our families certainly enjoyed our stay. The home fit our needs with 11 people. We did make pallets on the floor for the 3 littles so they could sleep with their mom and dad. The pool was the highlight for everyone. The dock has 2 stationary chairs which is a good place for watching the wildlife with coffee in the mornings and wine in the evening. We also took our boat so some could fish. The veterans park is about a 10 minute car and boat ride which gave us a place to tube and others swim. A lot of shade and a small restaurant is there. Leon was easy to contact when we had questions."

Big papa’s paradise is located on the Lincolm Pinch. Just a few minutes drive from Ga Veterans State Park and the Lake Blackshear Golf Club and Marina, for golfing or boat rentals. The home is nestled in a gorgeous quiet no wake cove just off the main lake. When the main lake is white capping, the cove is calm and tranquil. If you’re boat is tied up at the boathouse it will not get battered.

The well-stocked kitchen is ideal for preparing meals, and the expansive living spaces ensure you’ll have plenty of room to relax and reconnect. Outside, you’ll find a sparkling pool, a soothing hot tub, (limited to 3 hours per day) and a fire pit—perfect for evening gatherings under the stars. The boat dock offers direct access to the lake, making water adventures just steps away.

Conveniently located just a mile from Veterans State Park, you’ll have access to disc golf, a premier golf course, and walking trails. Dining and shopping options are close by, with a Mexican restaurant only 1.5 miles away and the famous Stripling’s convenience store just around the corner. Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub, enjoying the sunset from the dock, or exploring the local attractions, our home is designed to create lasting memories for you and your loved ones.

General Rules:

1. NO SMOKING INSIDE OF HOUSE. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.

2. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS! This can lead to a cancelation of your booking with no refund.

3. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM to respect neighbors.

4. NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS OR VISITORS ALLOWED!! Any visitor entering the home without prior permission from the host will result in an additional charges.

Safety and Property Care:

5. Supervise children around the pool, hot tub, and dock at all times.

6. Use the pool and hot tub responsibly; no glassware is allowed in these areas.

7. Do not tamper with or remove any safety equipment (e.g life jackets, smoke detectors).

8. Report any damage or issues immediately to the host.

Cleanliness:

9. Please clean up after yourself and leave the kitchen as you found it.

10. Dispose of trash in the provided bins.

11. Do not leave wet items on furniture; use provided towels or drying racks.

Check-In/Out:

12. Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Late check-outs may result in additional charges.

Hot Tub/Pool Rules:

15. The pool is used at your own risk. We are not liable for any injuries or accidents that may accur while using the pool or hot tub. No diving or running near the pool.

16. Do not adjust the hot tub temperature settings. Hot tub usage is limited to 3 hours per day. Any additional hot tub usage will result in extra charges.

Lakefront home with stunning views and sunsets on Lake Blackshear that is close to boat ramp, Veteran's Memorial Park on a deep water lot. The house is one of only 3 houses that sit over the water making it a unique stay looking directly out over the lake. Steep discounts for monthly stays ($2,900/month and $1,900for a 2 week stay). The space
On top of AMAZING views, you will find 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The house has 2 kings, 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. The upstairs bathroom has a walk in shower. The downstairs had a tub/shower combo.
Guest access
You have access to the whole house, a large yard, a huge dock and all the lake you can take in!
Other things to note
There is a fire pit, a 2 story dock that connects to a wrap around walkway/porch. There is a large yard that is perfect for games and the lot is fenced making it safe for children or a dog.

Landmark Lodge is a one-of-a-kind home on Lake Blackshear offered for rent year round. This home is the most recognizable house on the lake as it actually sits out over the water at the widest section of Lake Blackshear. Landmark Lodge has Wi/Fi and has the best views of any house on the lake. Enjoy spectacular 180 degree views of the lake and beautiful sunsets from the large decks and balconies or from the comfort of the spacious main living area. The decks and balconies are great for entertaining. Boating, skiing, fishing and swimming are great in this area because there are no cypress trees or stumps on this side of the lake or anywhere near the home. (Please note that due to continued abuse, boat and jet ski lifts are not available for use.)

Landmark Lodge has three master suites. The first master suite has a private balcony overlooking the lake and a large jetted bathtub. (There is not a shower in this bathroom.) Another suite enjoys tremendous views of the lake through large floor to ceiling windows. The main living area features three couches and a large flat screen TV. An additional sunken living area makes a great playroom for the kids. Two dining tables and a bar provide plenty of seating for meals. The kids will enjoy their very own bunk room with 3 twin beds. Everyone will enjoy the huge swimming platform.

Landmark Lodge is just down from Georgia Veterans State Park. Go by car or boat to enjoy all that the Park has to offer. You can even ride the SAM Shortline Railway to Plains, GA, home of former President Jimmy Carter. Georgia Veterans State Park also offers a beautiful 18 hole golf course, boat rentals, sunset cruises and two restaurants.
