The SKY is the limit for this stunning luxury cabin perched mountainside in the famed Aska Adventure Area! At Sky High Lodge, you can enjoy incredible views from this cabin's almost literal mountain top location...You can even see the beautiful Lake Blue Ridge weave its way around the mountains below! This cabin is a sight within itself: from impeccable decor to an abundance of amenities (including eight large flat screen TVS!) this luxury cabin combines functionality &technology to make your getaway one of a kind!

We have tried to think of everything to ensure you have a great vacation. The Master king bedroom is on the main level when you walk in and has a full bathtub, separate shower and double vanities. There is also a 1/2 bath on the main floor. This is also where the kitchen is located along with the dining and living area. There is also a side pantry/bar/coffee nook area. Outside this level you have a full wrap around porch that has outdoor dining table, outdoor gas grill, and living space area with outdoor wood burning fire place with a flat screen TV above.

Basement floor we have another king bedroom with separate tub/shower combo. There is also a fold out couch in the living area space in front of the indoor gas fireplace. Recreational area includes a pool table and mini bar area as well as a high top table and chairs. The full-size washing machine and dryer are also located on this floor. Outside you have another living area with a wood burning fireplace & flat screen TV above. This is also a wrap around deck with outdoor 8 person jaccuzi/hot tub.

Upstairs you have 2 bedrooms. One is a queen bed over queen bed bunk room with a twin bed in the loft above the bathroom. There is a full separate bathroom for both upstairs rooms with a shower/tub combo. The other bedroom is a King bed with a twin in the loft above the bathroom.

Bedrooms are large and all have extremely comfortable bedding and furnishings. Plenty of space, very clean, and easy communication with owner. The drive up the mountain is well paved but quite steep. Once to the top, you’ll know it was all worth the trip!" - "My wife and I have rented now over 12 different cabins in the general Blue Ridge area. Our stay at the Sky High Lodge was one of the best! First - the cabin is very quiet and relaxing with an outstanding view over the lake and extended mountain ranges. No cabins right beside it. Lots of trees and space separating the next cabin. Very clean and well kept. Very well stocked. A ton of very large 65 inch smart TV's everywhere. We like watching sporting events, so that was easy to do at night. Nicely decorated with comfortable beds. One night was nice to grill steaks on the gas grill and then light a fire with the outside fireplace and watch a ball game on the big TV over the outside fireplace. Another cool setup is just below that deck is the hot tub with a fireplace and TV right beside it. Pretty quick drive to downtown and the Blue Ridge Lake. Ron was very responsive with a couple of our questions. He was very easy to work with on the reservations and we had easy access to the cabin. Ron - you made our repeat list. We will definitely rent again from you when we have a chance. Thank you!"

Reconnect with friends or family for a fun-filled weekend, or spend a leisurely week enjoying the hiking of beautiful Blue Ridge, Georgia, with amenities like a great firepit, 6 person hot tub, and fully equipped kitchen - just a quick walk to the lake a short drive to downtown Blue Ridge!

The road and driveway are paved to our front door. We have 4 private bedrooms, and a bunk room that's great for kids. We're completely kid friendly with optional bedrails, baby gates, and even a high chair available. Cooking is easy with a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill. Huge covered porches, a 6 person hot tub, corn hole, horseshoes, tetherball, and a huge stone patio with a fire pit make Hid 'n' Timber a great place for socializing outdoors. We're 7 miles from the conveniences of town, 1.5 miles from Aska hiking & biking, a quarter mile from Blue Ridge Lake, and 3 miles from the Toccoa River (3 kayaks available for loan); there's truly not a more convenient location in North GA for outdoor enthusiasts.

This is a perfect getaway for the avid or occasional outdoors-person! Situated in the heart of Georgia's Aska Adventure area, some of the country's premier hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and kayaking is just moments away from the front door. Spend a long day busy with endless activities, and come back and relax in a comfortable lodge filled with things to do after dark.

We have a fully equipped kitchen, a bar for once the kids are asleep, and board games for kids of all ages. Foosball and a MortalKombat 1UP Arcade game on the Terrace level. Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee on one of our three covered porches surrounded by the sounds of nature.

There are 3 full bathrooms, and four private bedrooms, Master with King sized bed and 3 have comfortable Queen sized beds. The fifth bedroom has 4 bunk beds for the kids to share- it's away from the other bedrooms, so the adults will never hear the fun they are having! The master has it's own porch to relax in privacy, as well as a jetted tub to relax away the soreness of a long hike.

Our home is just a quarter mile to private access to Lake Blue Ridge, so bring your canoes!

ASKA TRAILS AREA: This area contains a 17-mile hiking and mountain biking trail system located on national forest land near Deep Gap and Stanley Gap south of Blue Ridge. Trails ascend to near 3,200 feet, providing vistas of mountain ridges, and descend to the shores of beautiful Lake Blue Ridge. They also pass through coves of mature hardwoods as well as traversing thickets of laurel and rhododendron.

HIKING: There are plenty of trails for everyone- easy to strenuous, young to old. The Aska Trails area is just 1.5 miles from the driveway to the trail head! This includes Stanley Gap, Green Mountain, and Flat Creek Loop. Not to mention the Rich Mountain And Cohutta Wilderness areas are just a short drive away!

MOUNTAIN BIKING: Aska Trails, Turkey Farm Loop, and Stanley Creek Rd. are all within 3 short miles! These trails are regarded as some of the best in the South.

CANOEING & KAYAKING: Beautiful rivers abound! Come raft down the Toccoa, kayak the Cartecay, or canoe the Olympic courses of the Ocoee, or just spend the day lounging on Lake Blue Ridge! Don't have your own gear? Outfitters and rentals are all along Aska Rd.

DOWNTOWN BLUE RIDGE: There are plenty of art galleries in downtown Blue Ridge, just 6 miles away, representing an artistic style unique to the Appalachian Mountains. You'll also find craft stores, antiques, cafes, and fine dining restaurants. The Scenic Railway also runs from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, GA, and marks the beginning of the Gold Rush in Georgia.

View-Topia has so much to offer in a Getaway Cabin. You'll be astonished at how much detail the owners have put into the comfort of this home! When entering the cabin you'll first notice the lavish living room which boasts sky high ceilings and a wall of glass overlooking layers on top of layers of gorgeous mountain views. A fully stocked kitchen with custom cabinetry and granite countertops and top of the line appliances which includes high quality pots & pans, blender, crock pot, Keurig machine, drip coffee, etc. There is a massive stone fireplace in the great room along with TV/SAT. There's also upscale fixtures throughout the home. Provided is a large dining table that seats 6-8 situated under a gorgeous custom antler chandelier. And a Bar Top area with 2 additional chairs for seating. Walk out onto the expansive decks overlooking the views and you'll find the porch fireplace area which is where I'm certain you'll want to spend endless hours!! There is also a gas grill and dining table on the deck so you can enjoy dinner al fresco!

Four bedrooms! All with oh so comfortable pillow top beds and comfortable/cozy linens. On the upper level you'll find a King master suite with a beautiful en suite bathroom which includes a soaking jet tub and walk-in shower with a Rain head. Private porch off of master bedroom to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon cocktails while taking in the views. On the Main Level you'll find a Queen Bedroom with a Full Bathroom. On the Lower level a Queen bedroom and a 4th bedroom with bunkbeds where both bedrooms share a full bath. We've also added a comfortable queen size air mattress that can be used in the lower level.

If all of that wasn't enough, the owners have gone an extra mile!! The Finished terrace level is so incredibly thought out with a relaxing sectional couch area, a gas log fireplace and TV above, a wet bar and rec room area with lots of games available. It all walks out to the Outdoor fire pit where you can enjoy s’mores with 4 comfortable Adirondack chairs or take an early morning or evening soak in the Hot tub again overlooking the view you'll wish to wake up to every single day!

WIFI has been provided for all guests with several different routers so that there is always a great signal from every room for your work needs or streaming!

★The cabin is regularly sprayed for bugs, but please note that you're visiting the North Georgia mountains, and our bug friends live in and around the neighborhood and the Blue Ridge area. You'll likely see a friend or two if you leave the doors or windows open.

★Your total reservation fee for this home includes a per-booking damage waiver fee, including any applicable taxes. The damage waiver ensures coverage for any accidental damage caused to the home or its contents, including appliances and furnishings, up to a maximum of $1,500. Damage due to smoking and pets is excluded. To benefit from this coverage, you must report the incident to the host before you check out.

The Aska Adventure Area is a hiking-mountain biking trail system 17 miles in length developed on National Forest lands near Deep Gap on the Aska Road just minutes from the cabin. Trails range in length from one mile to five and a half miles and are open to the public year-round. Trails ascend to near 3,200 feet, providing vistas of mountain ridges and descend to the shores of Lake Blue Ridge. Our home is equipped with enough sleeping spaces to accommodate a large family. On the main level, you'll find one bedroom filled with all sorts of comforts – a king bed, check; crib? Check! Plus, lots of board games for added entertainment. Just up and to the right from there, you'll find another room with queen-sized mattresses. And that's not all – head left on those stairs and discover even more dreamy goodness: a queen bed plus a twin bed, AND ANOTHER CRIB?! That'll do nicely... But just wait until you venture into the basement, where two full bedrooms await with king beds, as well as two trundle twinsies down below. Sweet dreams await everyone here at this homestead haven.

Please note that our property is nestled in the mountains amidst a wooded area, which means that the open spaces and outdoor sitting areas may be exposed to leaves, dust, pollen, and other natural elements. After a few days from the last cleaning, these outside areas may accumulate leaves, pollen, and some dust due to their exposure. We appreciate your understanding in this regard.

This space has been prepared for guests traveling from out of town!
We love to host guests from out of town who have previously stayed in short-term rentals and earned favorable reviews.

While we appreciate the interest in staying with our property, please note that we do not cater to guests who live in the area and are looking for an alternate venue for their affairs or events and reserve the right to turn these guests away.

Please bring charcoal for the green egg grill. Firewood is not provided. There will be a $500 fine for fires left unattended or fires that were not put out prior to leaving or retiring for the night. We don't want any embers be blown over to the nearby trees/woods, or anything that can potentially set it on fire.

Guests give permission to the property manager to use a third-party to screen their identity and check criminal databases to confirm their reservation. Other things to note
★Roads throughout the area are often curvy and narrow. 2WD vehicles will do fine under normal weather conditions, but 4WD may be required for icy or snowy weather.

★The cabin is regularly sprayed for bugs, but please note that you're visiting the North Georgia mountains, and our bug friends live in and around the neighborhood and the Blue Ridge area. You'll likely see a friend or two if you leave the doors or windows open.

★Your total reservation fee for this home includes a per-booking damage waiver fee, including any applicable taxes. The damage waiver ensures coverage for any accidental damage caused to the home or its contents, including appliances and furnishings, up to a maximum of $1,500. Damage due to smoking and pets is excluded. To benefit from this coverage, you must report the incident to the host before you check out.

A security deposit of $300 is required to hold your vacation rental reservation. This deposit will be automatically added to your reservation and charged at the time of booking. The deposit will be returned to you within 3 to 7 business days provided that the following provisions are met:

· No damage is done to the property or its furnishings

· All keys are returned.

★After each guest, we thoroughly clean and refill the hot tub to ensure it's in pristine condition for your enjoyment. However, please note that the hot tub will not be immediately heated to your desired temperature upon your arrival. It takes some time for the water to heat up to the desired temperature, so we ask that you adjust the temperature as soon as you arrive if you plan on using the hot tub during your stay. The hot tub should never be set above 104 degrees for health reasons.

$75 pet fee per dog (4 dogs maximum) and all dogs must be house trained and over 18 months old. If you are bringing your dog, please let us know when booking and we will send you a request for the pet fees. You must agree to keep your dogs off the furniture, keep them crated if left alone at the cabin, and to pick up after them in the yard.

I would just recommend possibly adding blinds or curtains in front of the window with the view as the sun can be blinding into the main room. The host was very quick to respond and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend staying here!!"

The large wood dining room table seats 12 with the ability to add a card table for extra seating for big holiday meals.

The master suite is a big room of comfort with plush carpet, large bathroom, large walk-in closet, king size bed, daybed with trundle, a couch for that nap and 2 quant chairs to enjoy the view of the lake. Access to the laundry room is off the master which also includes a full-size freezer to ensure you never run out of extra ice or ice cream.

All 6 bedrooms provide amazing views of the lake and natural forest across the way. For anyone who truly needs alone time, there is a tower “look out” spot with a comfy leather chair on the 5th floor at the top of the stairs.

For the active person there is a gym with 2 spin bikes, yoga mats, and weight bench with dumb bells. The house is located ½ mile from the Aska trails.

Create amazing memories hanging out with your family and friends in the 6-person jacuzzi, around the large stone fire pit, playing catch on the back lawn, sunbathing on the dock or boating on the lake.

The temperature-controlled game room boasts an 8’ long premium pool table, 2 dart boards and a lounge area. The doors leading outside can be opened to expand your space into the covered carport.

The best part of the house is the fact that you are lakeside on the beautiful Lake Blue Ridge. Bring your boat or jet skis to the public dock and enjoy all the lake has to offer. Afterwards, simply pull up to your lakeside cabin and tie off the boat or jet skis to your private dock. Your memory filled vacation is calling!

- "Everything was perfect for our mini “class reunion”! Couldn’t have asked for a better home, location, amenities, etc…. There was plenty of space for everyone to spend time together inside and out. All beds were very comfortable and there were more than enough linens and towels provided. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, dishes and spices. The outdoor space and deck on the lake were exceptional. We had a great time hanging out, swimming and paddling our kayaks and stand up paddle boards. The location is great with only a short drive into Blue Ridge and all that the town has to offer. Would definitely recommend this home for large groups and families!"

The shower curtains were dirty/ moldy so I think the price was a bit high for the cabin. The view was great and the beds were comfortable. - "We had an amazing stay at this property—an absolutely perfect spot for a relaxing and fun family vacation. The listing was completely accurate, and the house exceeded our expectations in every way: clean, spacious, and very comfortable.Check-in was smooth and easy, and the hosts were kind enough to let us check in early, which made our arrival even more enjoyable.The layout was ideal for our group, with essentially two large master bedrooms plus two more bedrooms that each had a queen bed and two twin beds—great for kids or teens. Those two rooms share a bathroom, but it worked well for us. The kitchen was beautiful, modern, and well-equipped, making it easy to cook and enjoy meals together.The boat dock was the highlight—we kept a rental boat there all week and loved having immediate access to the lake. We spent our days swimming, floating, fishing, grilling, and enjoying family dinners right on the dock. Evenings around the fire pit were the perfect end to each day.The only minor issue was that we couldn’t get the TV service to work, so we used our own YouTubeTV account to stream. Not a big deal, but worth noting.Overall, a fantastic stay in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable, family-friendly lake getaway. Welcome to Wine Down- a beautiful mountain retreat. This spacious 4BR/4BA is the perfect family getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life to get in touch with nature. From the moment you arrive you will notice the outdoor amenities, fire pit, large flat yard for the kiddos and fur babies, and the cabin life awaiting. Wine Down is located in the beautiful Aska Adventure area, 10 minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge. Minutes from Lake Blue Ridge, hiking trails, and tubing the Toccoa River!

Wine Down is a large mountain home comfortable housing 12 guests.
The main level is where you can whip up a meal in the well-equipped kitchen with ample storage and counter space. It also includes a family dining table with room for four, bar area, and another large dinning table surrounded by windows, traditional & Keurig coffee pot, plenty of pots and pans, dishwasher, stove, microwave and everything else you would need to cook up all your family meals. The main level houses the master bedroom w/ king bed, and full ensuite bathroom, along with additional bedroom with king bed, and small bedroom with a full sized day bed. There is also a full bathroom and laundry room on the mail level. The living area has an open concept feel and boats a wood burning fireplace.
The lower level houses twin bunk beds in the living area (not a private bedroom) living room with TV, along with a private gym area for guests to use, and a full bathroom. There are two additional bedrooms located on the lower level as well, one houses a full size bed with an ensuite full bathroom, the other houses a queen bed.
Outdoors, you will find a screened in porch area with outdoor seating, BBQ grill, flat front yard, outdoor fire pit with multiple chairs- perfect for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores!
Fireplaces are in season from October to April. Fire pits are available to guests year-round.

Some important things to know about Wine Down: There is a fully equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker. Coffee, oils, and spices are not supplied by North Georgia Property Management. However, we do supply a starter set of guest supplies including: one sponge and guest size dish soap, dish towels, 3 kitchen trash bags, 3 dishwasher tablets, and 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. The bathrooms are stocked with 2 rolls of toilet paper each, one guest soap per sink along with a guest size shampoo and conditioner. There are towels and linen provided in the home, along with a starter supply of laundry pods and dryer sheets. The propane grill is stocked with a propane tank. Wine Down hosts a fenced in pet area with pet door off the basement level, along with a gym area guests can use at their own risk.

Welcome to our beautiful mountain retreat! A spacious 4BR/4BA cabin getaway from city life, in touch with nature. From the moment you arrive at the property, you'll be taken aback by the outdoor scenery, cabin living area and amenities. Enjoy the large-screened porch as you take in the sounds of nature. The yard provides plenty of room for outdoor activities like hosting a cookout, fire pit or playing frisbee with family. Located In the Aska Adventure Area, 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge.

The space
The cabin has four bedrooms (2 upstairs and 2 downstairs) and four full bathrooms (2 upstairs w/tubs and 2 downstairs). Full kitchen, breakfast nook, fireplace, den, living room, with large dining room area located upstairs. In addition, the cabin has a family/play area downstairs with full gym and bunk beds for kids.

Outside, there is a swing, hiking trails to Lake Blue Ridge (10-minute walk), and a large fire pit with beautiful view of Green Mountain. In addition, there is a large screened-in porch in the front of the cabin. and a large deck in the back with the view of Green Mountain and Lake Blue Ridge.

The Aska Adventure Area activities (boating, canoeing, rafting, paddle boarding, swimming, hiking) minutes from the start of famous the Appalachian Trail.

The space
Dabry’s Ridge is located 19 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, in the amazing Aska Adventure area. The cabin sits directly next to a trail system and mountain biking trails and boasts beautiful long-range mountain views! Access is all paved roads with the exception of the well maintained 2 mile gravel road that meanders through the beautiful forest, trail system and Lake Blue Ridge. You then arrive at the gated community, switching back to all paved roads to the cabin. Close enough to enjoy everything local and secluded enough for that perfect mountain escape!

Upon your arrival, you will immediately notice the seclusion, yet peace of knowing other cabins are around. With large porches, beautiful outdoor/indoor stone fireplace, level parking and beautiful decor, you will be set for an amazing time!

Entry is directly into a very open floor plan featuring the living room, dining room and kitchen! The living area is to the left with large windows for natural light and views of the mountains, cozy new furniture, large screen TV and stone wood burning fireplace.

The living room provides access to the cover porch, with Blackstone grill, prep table, dining table, and seating area with a flat screen TV. The open portion of the deck has a swing directly facing the beautiful long-range mountain views and seating area next to the wood burning fireplace. Something for everyone!

Back inside, the dining room features a live edge custom dining table for six, and four bar stools.

The kitchen is very open with ample cabinets, counter space, and all the amenities of home. Featuring a large refrigerator, gas stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher. Plenty of space for those large family meals, yet convenient setup for quick preparation.

Just off the kitchen area is a full bathroom, featuring a unique tub/shower combo, single vanity, full size washer/dryer and directly outside the main level bedroom.

The first of three bedrooms is on the main level. It features a king bed, sitting area, access to the deck and flat screen TV.

Upstairs features a loft area with two twin beds (trundle bed), that also makes a great location to read a book or take a nap. It also features a desk and chair in case you need to catch up on any last minute work needs.

The upstairs bedroom is an ensuite with king bed, flat screen TV, private deck with seating area for your morning coffee or adult beverage while absorbing the long-range mountain views. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and single vanity.

Step into the “speak easy” on the lower level. It features an additional living area, reclining sofa, recliner, large screen TV, bar area, shuffleboard, card/poker table and darts. The bar area is bourbon themed with all the tools necessary to make the perfect mixed drink, old fashion or pop open a local favorite micro brew! It has a small refrigerator, ice trays and additional seating to catch up with friends and family!

The third bedroom is on the lower level featuring a king bed, direct access to the hot tub and close proximity to the 3rd full bathroom! It has a small sofa and amore. The third bathroom is a tub/shower combo and single vanity.

The lower deck is your ticket to relaxation! Featuring a new five person hot tub, and seating area with gas fire pit.

The property is also dog friendly! We will take up to two dogs, under 50lbs each. The owners respectfully ask that you keep them off the furniture and beds.

The Green Mountain hiking/biking trail entry is at the beginning of the driveway. This trail will take you into multiple trails into the Aska Adventure area including Flat Creek Loop, Stanley Gap Trail and Long Branch Trail. Also, check the guest information book for a variety of trails, waterfalls and other great sites to visit.

Dogs only - All dogs must be kept on a leash when outside. Poop bags and dog bowls are provided for your furry family members. The number of dogs is limited to two and each must be under 50 lbs. The owners respectfully request you crate your dog while away and to keep them off the beds and furniture.

Trash and Litter:
Trash pickup service is provided on Thursday. If the trash cans are full upon arrival, please contact the property management office. All trash must be bagged and placed into the trash cans provided and lids securely attached. Our nature friends love to make a mess when this is not done and the trash companies will not pick up loose trash. Also if you exceed the capacity of the trash cans before pickup it is your responsibility to remove and take to the disposal locations at:

In the heart of the Aska Adventure area, The Day Hike offers mountain views and unbeatable trail access for hiking, mountain biking, or trail running. This modern cabin features three bedrooms and three bathrooms with large decks on both the upper and lower levels.

If you love the trails this is the house for you. The Green Mountain Trail, of the Aska Trail System, crosses the driveway with one direction leading you down to Lake Blue Ridge and the other connecting to over 16 miles of trails. Grab your bike or hiking shoes and get on the trail without ever moving your car! Then come back and enjoy a fire in any of the three fireplaces while relaxing in the mountains.

Great shops, restaurants, and wineries are not far away as the drive to downtown Blue Ridge is only 7 miles. Likewise, the marina is only 7.5 miles away. Additionally, there are numerous fishing, rafting, and outdoor adventures all around. There really is something for everyone in Blue Ridge and The Day Hike provides excellent access to it all.

Our luxury 5 Star cabin, Sunset Ridge Aska, is located on 1.7 acres in a private gated community right in the middle of the Aska Adventure Area just 3 miles to downtown Blue Ridge and less than 10 minutes to the Toccoa River, hiking trails, tubing, and Lake Blue Ridge Marina. The 3 finished levels include a spacious loft with a futon, foosball table, overlooking the spacious and yet cozy, family room with stacked stone fireplace. The cabin features a bedroom and bathroom on each level including 2 master bedrooms with King sized beds and a basement bedroom with a new full bed and twin over twin bunkbeds perfect for kids or a small family that sleeps 4. Gaming system is also in this bedroom.
The upstairs master suite has 2 private screened balconies with comfortable seating on the front side and a swing off the back side of the porch overlooking the beautiful sunsets. The upstairs master bathroom features a large walk-in shower. There is also a quiet place for working while away from home in a private desk area.
The oversized main level master has access to the screened in porch that spans the entire back of the cabin overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. The screened outdoor area has a dining table so you can sit with the whole family and eat dinner while watching the sunset over the mountains and plenty of seating around the fireplace to relax and take in the view or join in a game of corn hole on the screened in porch area.
There are 3 fireplaces to cozy up next to including one in the outdoor living room. There is also a fire pit perfect for roasting s’mores and telling campfire stories.
Enjoy cooking and entertaining in the fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops complete with everything needed for your family meals. There is also a gas grill on the main floor porch for your cookout. The fully finished basement includes the 3rd fireplace, pool table, big screen tv, poker table, and plenty of board games and for the kids. You can relax on one of the multiple porch swings, or catch a game on one of the 5 tv's. The perfect spot to end the day and unwind can be found in our spacious and luxurious hot tub. Please check the local forecast for Blue Ridge in Jan/Feb for snow or ice conditions prior to your trip
- NOTE: The last 2 miles of the road to the cabin goes through the Chattahoochee forest. If you are unfamiliar with driving on winding country roads in forested areas, we highly recommend you arrive during daylight hours
