This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, 1750 square foot cabin is the perfect lake getaway. The house has a deep wrap around front porch overlooking Clarks Hill lake. The lake is clearly visible from all of the rooms in the house. Two of the bedrooms have plush-top queen beds and the third bedroom is set up as a kid's bunk room and contains 2 twin beds and a set of bunk beds. The entire house was freshly painted in 2024.

Lake Strom Thurmond, also known as Clarks Hill Lake, is a reservoir at the border between Georgia and South Carolina in the Savannah River Basin. It was created by the J. Strom Thurmond Dam during 1951 and 1952 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers near the confluence of the "Little River" and the Savannah River. At 71,000 acres (290 km2), it is the third-largest artificial lake east of the Mississippi River, behind the Kentucky Lake on the Tennessee River and Lake Marion on the Santee River. The J. Strom Thurmond Dam is located upstream from Augusta, Georgia.

The layout is great, with three comfortable bedrooms upstairs and two full baths (one upstairs and one down), which worked well for our group of 4 adults. The surrounding neighborhood was very quiet during our stay, although probably a little busier during summer months. This beautiful rustic lake house property located on Clarks Hill Lake becomes a private oasis with a pool! The house is a dog-friendly, 3/2, 1500 sq. ft. home with a great layout that sleeps 5-7 comfortably, and includes a fully stocked kitchen. An expansive back deck overlooks the lake and has a small dock perfect for relaxing, fishing, or tying up a boat. Also includes kayak and hammock.

*The Army Corps of Engineers controls the level of the lake. We cannot determine whether it will be low, high or just right. Super low lake levels may impact your ability to dock a boat. Because it is out of our control, we cannot issue refunds due to lake levels.

The pool is cleaned weekly from March until October. The pool is not heated. While in full sun, people generally report its pretty cold until May. The cleaners require access to clean the pool each week. The cleaning takes approximately 1 hour. Booking acknowledges and allows cleaners to have access potentially during your stay. During the season, the pool is cleaned on Monday or Tuesday approximately midday.

The lake lodge interior will give you the warm and cozy feel of home. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, a tv, and an ensuite bathroom with a stand up shower. The second bedroom is perfect for teleworking with a desk and a queen bed. The “kid’s” room contains a twin over full bunk bed and twin trundle. The hall bath has a shower/tub combo.

The house has high speed WiFi, tvs with streaming apps (bring your own accounts) and an assortment of games and puzzles.

There are five steps to the front door, and eight steps off the back deck to the fire pit/pool area. The property is completely gated from the pool area to the back deck.

The house is dog friendly for house trained pups on flea and tick preventative who would enjoy a lake vacation. The property has a fully fenced yard (see photos for fence height at gates). To minimize allergens for other guests, we ask that you bring sheets or covers to cover any furniture that your dogs may come in contact with. The house includes two dog beds (one fluffy and one kuranda for outside) as well as a crate (sized for a medium dog) and two dog bowls for your use. Please do not leave dogs unattended unless crated. Please do not bring dogs who use indoor pee pads/litter boxes/etc.
