This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, 1750 square foot cabin is the perfect lake getaway. The house has a deep wrap around front porch overlooking Clarks Hill lake. The lake is clearly visible from all of the rooms in the house. Two of the bedrooms have plush-top queen beds and the third bedroom is set up as a kid's bunk room and contains 2 twin beds and a set of bunk beds. The entire house was freshly painted in 2024.

Lake Strom Thurmond, also known as Clarks Hill Lake, is a reservoir at the border between Georgia and South Carolina in the Savannah River Basin. It was created by the J. Strom Thurmond Dam during 1951 and 1952 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers near the confluence of the "Little River" and the Savannah River. At 71,000 acres (290 km2), it is the third-largest artificial lake east of the Mississippi River, behind the Kentucky Lake on the Tennessee River and Lake Marion on the Santee River. The J. Strom Thurmond Dam is located upstream from Augusta, Georgia.

This beautiful rustic lake house property located on Clarks Hill Lake becomes a private oasis with a pool! The house is a dog-friendly, 3/2, 1500 sq. ft. home with a great layout that sleeps 5-7 comfortably, and includes a fully stocked kitchen. An expansive back deck overlooks the lake and has a small dock perfect for relaxing, fishing, or tying up a boat. Also includes kayak and hammock.

*The Army Corps of Engineers controls the level of the lake. We cannot determine whether it will be low, high or just right. Super low lake levels may impact your ability to dock a boat. Because it is out of our control, we cannot issue refunds due to lake levels.

The pool is cleaned weekly from March until October. The pool is not heated. While in full sun, people generally report its pretty cold until May. The cleaners require access to clean the pool each week. The cleaning takes approximately 1 hour. Booking acknowledges and allows cleaners to have access potentially during your stay. During the season, the pool is cleaned on Monday or Tuesday approximately midday.

The lake lodge interior will give you the warm and cozy feel of home. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, a tv, and an ensuite bathroom with a stand up shower. The second bedroom is perfect for teleworking with a desk and a queen bed. The “kid’s” room contains a twin over full bunk bed and twin trundle. The hall bath has a shower/tub combo.

The house has high speed WiFi, tvs with streaming apps (bring your own accounts) and an assortment of games and puzzles.

There are five steps to the front door, and eight steps off the back deck to the fire pit/pool area. The property is completely gated from the pool area to the back deck.

The Lakeside Lodge is a 3700 square foot lakefront Tennessee log home tucked away among tall pine trees on 1 acre of land. This luxurious lake front home offers seclusion and privacy. Staying at the Lakeside Lodge is a unique vacation experience. A private dock and a lake life experience that can be enjoyed all year round. Daytime fun can include boating, fishing, swimming and kayaking right off the private dock located in the backyard. In the evening enjoy a fun game of corn hole or badminton in the yard, pool or ping pong in the den, capped off with roasting marsh mellows at night over the fire pit.

The home is spacious. The open living room is flanked by premium windows and French doors, has wide board heart pine floors and is topped off with a grand cathedral ceiling. Fall and winter guests can warm up to a cozy fire by either of the 2 wood burning stone fireplaces. You can enjoy your morning coffee by stepping out onto one of 2 decks looking over the lake. The dining area includes seating for 9 inside plus a picnic style table on the screened porch with seating for 10.

The primary bedroom is located on the main level and features a king size bed and a large bath with jetted tub, walk in shower, dual vanities and separate water closet. The upstairs loft overlooks the living area and includes two queen sized beds. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, each with a private half bath and a shared jack & jill shower room. The basement includes a bunk style bedroom with three bunk beds.

Walk out the basement doors to a grassy backyard with a gradual slope to the water and deck. Inside there are 3 pub style high tables for puzzles, games or hanging out and a pool/ping pong table. There is also a sectional sofa, large TV, wet bar and additional refrigerator.

The covered private dock can accommodate a pontoon style boat. A boat is NOT included in your stay, but guests can bring their own boat or rent one from any of the nearby marinas There are 4 kayaks (2 double, 2 single), life jackets and tubes for guests to use during their stay. You may bring your own permitted lake toys too! The Lakeside Lodge is located on the Georgia side of Clarks Hill/J. Strom Thurmond Lake. As you pull into the driveway you will be welcomed by a stunning view of the peaceful cove and the Soap Creek channel. As you take the path to the downstairs entrance, you will be greeted with a covered patio and lots of seating to enjoy the panoramic views. From here you can enter the main house through the double doors or the large sliding glass door. This space contains two separate seating/ TV areas, a full kitchen, a wine closet with a mini fridge, a breakfast nook that seats 4, a dining room table that seats 7, a wood burning fireplace, a full bathroom and a washer/dryer closet.

Once you go up the stairs (or you can go through the front door) you will find a large master bedroom with a king bed, breathtaking views of the lake, and direct access to the screened in porch. I have a 2000 sq. ft home nestled in the middle of 8 acres of land. I love that at any given time I can look out my front or back yard and possibly see a herd of deer roaming about. There is a private deck on back for quiet time and private carport to park a car. Only 10-20 minutes from town and 5 minutes to Lake Thurmond for water sports. This is a great "get away from it all" spot. Quiet and serene, but close enough to shopping and lake activities to not be bored!!

If you’re fisherman, there’s plenty of room to park one or two boats and trailers in the driveway. The dock is mine, and you can tie off to the houseboat or to the other side of the dock. And there is power on the dock to charge your batteries.

This beautiful rustic lake house property located on Clarks Hill Lake becomes a private oasis with a pool! The house is a dog-friendly, 3/2, 1500 sq. ft. home with a great layout that sleeps 6-8 comfortably, and includes a fully stocked kitchen. An expansive back deck overlooks the lake and has a small dock perfect for relaxing or tying up a boat.

The space
The lake lodge interior will give you the warm and cozy feel of home. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, a tv, and an ensuite bathroom with a stand up shower. The second bedroom is perfect for teleworking with a desk and a queen bed. The “kid’s” room contains a twin over full bunk bed and twin trundle. The hall bath has a shower/tub combo.

The house has high speed WiFi, tvs with streaming apps (bring your own accounts) and an assortment of games and puzzles.

There are five steps to the front door, and eight steps off the back deck to the fire pit/pool area. The property is completely gated from the pool area to the back deck. The walk to the lake is steep with a path with some roots. May be challenging for some.

The house is dog friendly for house trained pups on flea and tick preventative who would enjoy a lake vacation. The property has a fully fenced yard (see photos for fence height at gates). To minimize allergens for other guests, we ask that you bring sheets or covers to cover any furniture that your dogs may come in contact with. The house includes two dog beds (one fluffy and one kuranda for outside) as well as crates (sized for a medium dog) and two dog bowls for your use. Please do not leave dogs unattended unless crated. Dogs who use indoor pee pads or litter boxes, etc are not allowed.

We also offer one sit-on top kayak, paddle, and life jackets available for your use. Life jackets are sized for 50lbs and up. There is also a medium sized dog life jacket.

Additional amenities include a fire pit and a hammock.

There are two cameras at the property. One pointed at the front door and one pointed at the back door. These cameras are for security and insurance. The blue light indicates motion.

The pool is open April until October and cleaned weekly. The cleaners require access to clean the pool each week. The cleaning takes approximately 1 hour. Booking acknowledges and allows cleaners to have access potentially during your stay. The pool is cleaned on Monday or Tuesday.

The pool is NOT heated, though it is in full sun for much of the day.

This property is in the woods and near the lake. There are bugs, lizards, frogs, snakes, and other wildlife. Please keep gates closed and don’t approach the critters. Please watch your kids.

The Upstairs apartment is well stocked, providing EVERYTHING you should need for a memorable stay. Feel free to open drawers and cabinets in any room to find and use anything you need.

A COVID prevention station includes disposal face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and Lysol wipes for your protection and use.

A phone/ipad charging station and an Echo Dot are provided for your convenience. The Echo Dot can answer questions or play music. Just ask, “Alexa what is the weather today, etc. or Alexa play (any artist or theme music).” This device is not connected to any other device for your safety and can be disconnect, if you are not comfortable with Alexa.

High speed, 5G internet is provided free of charge with a separate guest password for your security. A remote control beside the front door will automatically turn on lights, the main TV and bedroom light with a touch of a button upon your arrival. All other switches are marked for your convenience. Most outdoor lights are set to motion or dusk to dawn. An ADT alarm is available for your security.

Overhead fans and remote control TVs are located in every room.

The living space has an oversized sofa, love seat, reclining chair, coffee table, and entertainment center, consisting of a TV, stereo and CD player.

The kitchen has new stainless steal appliances (stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer) and is fully stocked with everything you need to include coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glasses, pots, pans, blender, baking items, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, towels, and cleaning supplies. The dining table accommodates six with an additional two seats on island.

Each bedroom has a king-size bed, bedding, clock, remote TV, luggage rack, storage space and a closet. An iron, ironing board, laundry basket and hangers are also provided.

The bathroom is stocked with towels, toilet paper, hair dryer, magnifying make-up mirror, shampoo, conditioner, bath wash, lotions, adult robes, cleaning and disinfecting items.

A lighted balcony with table and chairs overlooking the land and pond completes your living space.

A washer and dryer are provided for your convenience in the ground floor garage.

A rocking chair porch with water and power outlets begins the outdoor space. Midway between the apartment and pond is a fire pit with seating, which can be set up, including s’mores upon your request. A treehouse provides a bird’s eye view of the well stocked pond. Fishing equipment is provided for guest use.

Guests are welcome to explore our land and pond. We request that guardians accompany their children and observe House Rules at all times.

The property is an 1/8 mile off the hard surface road, providing a quiet and peaceful retreat, while located just two miles from Publix, McDonald’s, Starbuck’s, a gas station, beverage store, nail salon, numerous restaurants; Blanchard Woods Park ( (6.1 miles/10 minutes) miles/10 minutes); Walmart Super Store (6.4miles/11 minutes); Wild Wood State Park (6.6 miles/10 minutes); Augusta Mall (14 miles/19 minutes); Augusta National Golf Course (14 miles/23 minutes) and Augusta Airport (AGS) (24 miles/30 minutes).

We live on the property in a different home and are available 24/7 to assist guests. We offer free, educational tours of the property, the well stocked pond and all the wonderful creatures that inhabit it, upon request. A campfire with s’mores is also offered on request.

We have lived in the area for over twenty years and are familiar with Clark Hill Lake, restaurants, activities and events in the area.

We have three adult golden retrievers (Amber, Adeline and Annabel), who reside in the enclosed fenced yard of our residence. They are very friendly and appreciate over the fence love, if you are on the land.

You may see our two feral cats (Boots (grey) and Tom (gray and white)), deer, including fawns and wild rabbits that roam our land day and night to complete your outdoor experience.
