The Guest House at Sapphire Canyon Vineyard was taken down to studs and completely renovated in 2014. Located on a working vineyard, this modern 2BR, 1BA house comfortably sleeps four. The two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the second with a queen bed, have ultra-comfy premium mattresses with down comforters and cozy robes. The living room is spacious for lounging around after a long day of wine tasting, bicycle riding or shopping. We love to cook and have stocked the kitchen accordingly. Also, there is an outdoor grill and dining area to enjoy.

For exercise, hike the many trails on the 55+ acre property or walk the quiet street across from the property for a more leisurely activity. For the adventuresome, the property is on Santa Rosa Bicycle Club’s Dry Creek, Alexander Valley bicycle ride noted as one of the Three Great Cycle Rides in Sonoma County by Suzie Rodriguez.

The charming towns of Healdsburg and Geyserville are within a 10 minute drive and offer a wide range of and dining. Calistoga and Santa Rosa are both within a 20 mile scenic drive.

This home is right next to a Community Church which has service on Sunday's at 10 AM. Church services have been suspended during the pandemic. The .68 acres is very private and serene and suitable for BBQ's with all amenities provided.

The Bosworth house was built in 1904 by George Bosworth for his wife and family. The family is one of the early settlers to the Geyserville area, and whose descendants have remained in and around Geyservile. George Bosworth's grandson, Harry Bosworth still runs Bosworth & Son General Merchandise just a few blocks away.

The house is an outstanding example of mixed styles: it is Victorian with wide interior trim. It still has the large sliding pocket doors intact, along with high ceilings, and original fir floors. The outside shows a strong Palladian influence in the low dormer windows cut through the main roof line, small bay and windows, and sheet metal minarets on the roof. It is a classic example of a merchant's home in a rural area, built at a time when folks could use a mail order Pattern book to choose house plans. This home was built from a Pattern Book popular at the time.

Each room has been thoughtfully decorated to bring the home to life and create a comfortable, casual environment for your vacation. Walking through the front door you'll find the cosy wine room to your left and dining area to your right. Both rooms will comfortably seat 8-10 people and are great spaces to gather with family and friends. The kitchen is set up for those who love to cook. With a six burner Wolf range, a Sub Zero refrigerator, and a cozy farm table you'll be inspired to cook with all of the local produce and cheeses Sonoma County has to offer. And finally the TV room comes with a 70" television, two sofas and leather reading chair.

The three upstairs bedrooms, two with ensuite bath, all have King beds, 50" flat screen TVs and down alternative duvets. The light-filled downstairs bedroom at the back of the house has a Queen bed and two full walls of windows that look out on to the charming back yard.

Outside, you'll find beautiful gardens, a small vineyard, fruit trees, and tables and chairs for outdoor dining or relaxing with a glass of wine.

The Neighborhood

Geyserville is a small wine country town with a population of 837 people. Located on the main street of this charming town The Bosworth is just a few blocks from our newest acclaimed restaurants and bars--Diavola, Catelli's, Cyrus, Geyserville Grille, Geyserville Mud coffee shop, and the Gun Club Bar and Lounge. Just a few minutes away, you'll find the Francis Ford Coppola Winery where you can eat at the cafe by the pool, or their restaurant called Rustic.

There are also several shops--Gin Gillies for antiquing and the Bosworth General store for western hats and gifts.

Healdsburg is just a few minutes away, with an amazing variety of restaurants and shops. See the guidebook for more information.

There are outdoor activities--biking is very popular in this area and our kids love to float down the Russian River. There are also hiking and walking trails nearby.

Finally, there are over 400 local wineries waiting for you to visit.

Getting Around

You'll likely want a car to get here and to explore the area. That said, biking is very popular in Sonoma County and you'll often see groups of bikers on the country roads or going from winery to winery.

The Vineyard Perch is a tastefully decorated home that is both large and cozy. Strategically placed on a stunning perch overlooking the vineyards of the Alexander Valley and the hillsides of Sonoma, the home is reminiscent of a country estate and comes complete with all the amenities to make your vacation getaway special. We all enjoy cooking and the kitchen was amazing. We cooked 3 lovely dinners there. There was even a puzzle ongoing! The only negative was circumstantial, in that the transformer at the bottom of the road blew out and we had weird electrical problems. House and layout
Newly built in 2006, this contemporary home has an open floor plan and panoramic views of vineyards and mountains from the living room, dining room, kitchen, media room and master bedroom. There are beautiful maple wood floors, an open beam cathedral ceiling, gas fireplace and an inspiring gourmet kitchen has everything you need that will bring out the wine country chef in you.

The master bedroom has a California king-size bed and the en suite bath has a deluxe shower and soaking tub with sweeping valley and vineyard views. There are two additional bedrooms that share an adjoining bath with large shower and double vanity. One bedroom has a queen-size bed, the other has two twin beds. This is a extremely private site with a cozy (yes it is warm in winter) but hi-tech Quonset shaped Unit* on the Russian River. Our property is part of a network of 80 Hunting clubs and you can join our network or stay as a potential member. As a guest you will be given info on how to apply for the hunting and fishing club which gives you access to 80 or so properties (including this one) for one fee.
NO MOSQUITOS! Running water, electricity, DirectTV, all cooking gear, it's glamping (glamorous camping) at its finest. You have the best of both worlds, you feel like you are camping, but has all the amenities found you would miss. Unit is ready for night if temps drop, we have forced air heaters and a wood stove.
It's not just glamping: explore your wild side, we have Kayaks, ATVs, a Drift Boat, an 8 wheel amphibious vehicle to go river and winery touring, archery equipment, and I will teach you to fly fish and/or shoot a bow.
The Russian River is the main attraction but the Casino and the village of Geyserville with 4 restaurants and 2 convenience stores are only minutes away.
Wine tasting at Zialena is adjacent to the property and many wineries are nearby. Fishing is good to excellent for small mouth bass and steelhead trout.
Kayaking and the best swimming river in California! Kayak rentals are available as well as river shuttles for an excellent kayak run!
There are several miles of river near the lodge with decent holding areas for trout and salmon. This river is excellent for fly casting as there are many sandbars without obstruction to your back casts. We encourage bank fishing and patiently fishing each hole while you walk along the river.

If you have flotation/pontoon type device or some other vessel, we can drop you off upriver for a float to our place or pick you up if you prefer to leave from the Unit and head down river to the next bridge.
The river itself is very isolated from civilization in this 16 mile stretch, despite its proximity to the Bay Area. You feel as if you are in a wilderness setting, thanks to the huge vineyards providing a buffer to any development, roads or highways. It is not a river with lots of fast water, and early in the year you may have to drag your pontoon boat or whatever over a few shallow spots.

The fish average 6 to 8 pounds, and, like all steel head, fight like demons, and are either wild or hatchery born. Roe, lures, and flies all work well. The regulations prevent the use of bait until later in the season, so make sure you check rules before you soak some roe.

The lodge unit has three large beds and a fully stocked camp kitchen, Satellite TV, mini bar and inside and outside dining area. The campsite area has a fire ring, 3 burner propane stove, sink, pots, pans and utensils.

As previously mentioned, no permanent structures are allowed, so a small shed shaped tent covers a flush toilet and heated shower. Nothing fancy, it has to be light enough to be moved, but it works.

Geyserville and River Rock Casino are minutes away and the town has several outstanding restaurants, a really unique bar and a coffee shop for breakfast. The Casino's food is good to great, too, as a buffet.
I am a licensed and bonded fishing guide. I will advise you free of charge on where to fish, but there will be $100 fee for basic guiding, $200 if on the drift boat or ATV’s.
We can accommodate up to 6 people on 3 large beds and 2 couches. We assume at least 2 of you will sleep together, ha ha.
NOTE: The nightly rate reflects the cost for the first 2 guests, with each additional guest over two costing $25 per person / per night.

Again, it would be best if your mindset is "light camping", due to this site's proximity to the river, no permanent building is allowed. So many amenities are creatively installed, such as the bathroom which is designed to be picked up an moved manually
It is thus made to be lightweight and lacks sheetrock, tile etc but is functional.
During the summer, the water pump next door may come on in which case we will reimburse you on a per hour basis. (your payment divided by number of hours it runs)
We do not discuss hunting here in public, but suffice to say we have secret locations at private areas for our hunting club members and guests. As a guest you will be given info on how to apply for the hunting and fishing club which gives you access to 80 or so properties (including this one) for one fee.

The adults also enjoyed drinks at the high top barrel tables and the gas firepit. - "My wife and I stayed here for 3 months and could not have been happier! The Area: Breathtaking views, and incredible wildlife and peace. From the balcony during the day you can look out on a beautiful view of the surrounding wineries, or during the night you can stargaze. The whole area is lovely and you'll enjoy the drive into town and back for all the nature you can see. It was very hard to leave at the end of our stay and I took so many pictures of the scenic views and wildlife. Deer are frequent visitors, and there's even a group of 15 or so wild turkeys! The perfect place for getting away from the city and having some nice early morning walks. The Home: The home itself is newly renovated and with all up to date appliances and amenities. From the pots and pans, to the top-of-the-line microwave, to the very comfortable beds you won't be disappointed. The Starlink internet is also very fast, and while using it to develop a video game remotely (significant speed requirements) I had no issues. The Host: Jen is a pleasure to communicate with. She's extremely responsive and happy to accommodate when uncontrollable things happen (big storms, power outages, etc). I never felt on my own staying here, which is a nice change from other rental experiences. Looking forward to coming back in the future!"

Imagine staying in a historical turn-of-the-century Victorian farmhouse that was once a stagecoach inn & bar in 1870s, with redwood walls, 14-foot ceilings and tall original Victorian many panned windows. Each room is outfitted to reflect Queens of ancient Egypt. There is the Ankhsenamen Room, the Nefertari Room, and the Hatshepsut Room.

The Isis Oasis Sanctuary :

You are welcome to partake in the spiritual life of The Temple of Isis, home of the Isis Oasis Sanctuary, by joining us for daily noon rites or by simply meditating at any of the numerous shrines and altars at our beautiful sanctuary. The Temple of Isis is the largest and oldest interfaith sanctuary dedicated to the Sacred Feminine in North America. We believe that all genuine offerings of the human heart are accepted by the Divine. Our sanctuary is the oldest modern spiritual community outside the California Missions.

It was established in 1880 as the north american center from the Baha'i faith, they left in 1974. From 1974 - 1976 this site was the home of the only Cannabis commune in the USA, founded and led by Dennis Peron, Godfather of the Medical Cannabis movement. From 1976, Our temple was founded by well known beatnik and enamel artist Loreon Vigne as a sanctuary for all souls. During our time here, we have played host to artists like Andy Warhol, The Velvet Underground and the Grateful Dead. Today we operate as a wildlife sanctuary and a transitional housing program to help all souls in need.

The Nesu Retreat House :

There is the 30-foot long living room, with gas fireplace and 2 ceiling fans. It is named for Cleopatra and has five daybeds that may be used for sleeping or just lounging. The room off the living rooms through sliding wooden doors is the Hatshepsut Room, and may have twin beds or 1 Queen sized bed as needed. Then there is the loft up winding stairs and named for Queen Nefertiti. It can sleep 5 in twin beds. It has a half bath and there are two full bathrooms in the house downstairs, one with a bathtub, the other with a shower. There is also Queen Ti’s Tearoom having another gas fireplace adjacent to the dining area with a long table for 14 people to dine. Then there is a kitchen outfitted for cooking, with a pantry with plates, wine glasses etc. required for serving. The house has wall-to-wall carpeting except in the kitchen and dining area.

There are two decks. The one in front looks out on Geyser Peak off the living room and the one in back is off the kitchen and dining area. This is where the hot tub and barbecue grill are available to enjoy. There is parking right along side this house, which is set apart from the 10 acres that comprise the Isis Oasis Sanctuary, a spiritual retreat center dedicated to the ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis also known as Mother Earth.

As guests on the property, you would have access to the pool/hot tub and sauna onsite (Reminder: the Nesu Retreat House has its own private hot tub). Additionally, you could view all the exotic cats and birds at our zoological sanctuary and partake of any gatherings - films/plays/concerts- in our Egyptian temple themed theater.

Please come and visit the unique the Nesu Retreat House. You don't have to travel far to be in a whole other world, time and place!

The Bosworth is a charming Victorian era home ideally situated in Geyserville at the heart of one of Sonoma County's best wine-tasting regions. Built in 1904 and stylishly restored, this home is perfect for relaxing wine country get-aways. The pool and hot tub, are great for relaxing on hot summer days, or after wine tasting.

Each room has been thoughtfully decorated to bring the home to life and create a comfortable, casual environment for your vacation.

Walking through the front door you'll find the cosy wine room to your left and dining area to your right. Both rooms will comfortably seat 8-10 people and are great spaces to gather with family and friends. The kitchen is set up for those who love to cook. With a six burner Wolf range, a Sub Zero refrigerator, and a cozy farm table you'll be inspired to cook with all of the local produce and cheeses Sonoma County has to offer. And finally the TV room comes with a 70" television, two sofas and leather reading chair.

The three upstairs bedrooms, two with ensuite bath, all have King beds, 50" flat screen TVs and down alternative duvets. The light-filled downstairs bedroom at the back of the house has a Queen bed and two full walls of windows that look out on to the charming back yard. The full downstairs bathroom is right across from the bedroom.

Outside, you'll find a pool, an attached hot tub, beautiful gardens, a small vineyard, fruit trees, and multiple tables and chairs for outdoor dining or relaxing with a glass of wine.

House history
The Bosworth house was built in 1904 by George Bosworth for his wife and family. The family is one of the early settlers to the Geyserville area, and whose descendants have remained in and around Geyservile. George Bosworth's great granddaughter, Gretchen, still runs Bosworth & Son Store just a few blocks away.

The house is an outstanding example of mixed styles: it is Victorian with wide interior trim. It still has the large sliding pocket doors intact, along with high ceilings, and original fir floors. The outside shows a strong Palladian influence in the low dormer windows cut through the main roof line, small bay and windows, and sheet metal minarets on the roof. It is a classic example of a merchant's home in a rural area, built at a time when folks could use a mail order Pattern book to choose house plans. This home was built from a Pattern Book popular at the time.

This four bedroom, three bathroom luxury villa is situated in the pristine confines of Dry Creek Valley, just ten minutes from downtown Healdsburg. You get all of the charming amenities of country life—stars, peace, beauty, views, farm animals—while being only minutes away from the bustle of Healdsburg, and surrounding wine country and outdoor activities.

The villa is located on the magical 55 acre property with a small winery and farm. We provide an agricultural farm stay experience, which includes complimentary tastings in our winery, and a farm to table bite to pair with your wine. We'd be happy to let you feed the furry animal residents too, if that is something you might enjoy.

The property consists of a winery/tasting room, barn, cottage, and the villa. Our tasting room is by appointment only and the property is managed by the owners.

The drive to the property is 1/2 mile off of Dry Creek Road (entrance is one mile past the renown Dry Creek General Store). You weave through old oaks dripping with Spanish moss and are surrounded by rolling vineyards. Once you enter through the privacy gate, you are amongst majestic vegetation, gardens, animals, and all sorts of little nooks to lounge and relax.
