This guest house is at the center of our 30 acre Gentlemen's ranch, one mile south of Suttons Bay and 1/2 mile from the Bay. The address for our location is 1624 South West Bayshore Drive (which is M-22), Suttons Bay While there is not a water view unless you are on top one of our hills, the setting is an idyllic location with panoramic valley and hill views. This house has a warm natural all wood interior with beautiful artwork, yet all the modern amenities such as wifi and satellite TV with multiple movie channels.
The grounds are professionally landscaped and maintained by the Landscape Architect owner.
There is a large open area that includes a wrap-around leather couch and a loft with two beds along with a separate bedroom with a queen-size bed with an exceptional quality mattress. It is important to note that the only access to the loft is a straight up and down ladder. Because of this if you have kids younger than five or adults older than 40 or so (depending how spry you feel) the loft is probably not for you.
There is plenty of room to park any toys (campers, boats, trailers) right on the property. The owners have a 26 foot motorboat and other water toys, so arrangements could be made for their use. If there is a need to stall your horses, or if you want to ride a horse or two, those arrangements can be made as well.
On the property is a large barn, a small barn (both for horses) along with indoor and outdoor riding arenas. Attached to the indoor riding arena is a viewing area with a pool table, bathroom and laundry.
At night, there is a firepit area to warm up on the cold Northern Michigan nights and we are far enough away from any city so that the panoramic star views are incredible.
We are only 1/2 mile away from the Suttons Bay to Traverse City trail and you could ride bikes/horses snowshoe/hike/cross-country ski in any direction from here and see wonderful water vistas and orchard/hill/valley views.
We are 30 minutes away from the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and the Homestead Resort that has skiing with hills that border on Lake Michigan.

Large mostly private back yard with new large concrete patio, grill and fire pit. Teak table and chairs with umbrella. Sunny in the afternoon but shaded after 5 or 6 by large mature trees on hillside in back.

More serene hammock spot in at the back of the property in a nice myrtle patch amongst the trees with a little view of the bay.

Full size washer and dryer were left in the basement to preserve living space upstairs. Basement drywalled, partially finished but still needs work. Basement is oddly accessed from inside garage. Ping pong table in basement.

A convenience store is less than a 5 minute walk. Perfectly located for the many activities of Traverse City and Leelanau County. Enjoy the beach, swim, boat, water ski, fish. A public boat launch is less than 1 mile away. Enjoy wine tasting at the many wineries only minutes away.

Several golf courses are nearby, one is located less than 10 minutes away. If you prefer live entertainment and gaming, the Leelanau Sands is a 12 minute drive away. The paved Leelanau trail (15 miles long) is great for hiking and biking is 1 1/2 miles away. The Vasa trail is a 25 minute ride away. Great Dining and shopping is also just minutes away.

The private guest entrance is at the front of the house.

The yard is not fenced in.

Parking on the street is free, plentiful and convenient during the day. Overnight parking is free and safe in the home's alley driveway with space for a total of 2 guest vehicles.

The hospital, Munson Medical Center is only 5 blocks away.

This charming home was built in 1901 with updates throughout the years.

Private access at the ground level, queen bed and private bathroom. There is no air conditioning, but the house is built into the side of the hill, that keeps it cool, quiet and comfortable. Located on the desirable west side of Traverse City, you have access to shopping, restaurants and downtown and West Bay in 10 minutes. You can get to Lake Michigan or Sleeping Bear Dunes in 35-45 minutes. You'll have a great time at this comfortable place to stay.

I’m set up with one queen bed and can accommodate up to two more guests upon request with a comfortable queen size sofa bed air mattress on the floor. Parking space for 2 cars at the end of the driveway into the dirt or road side of the driveway away from the garage door opening.
