Ideal for couples, girlfriends, or a single person looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding. I have been teaching contemplative walking meditations, offering life transition ceremonies and retreats here in this safe, sacred space for three decades. The restorative energy here is amazing. Many say they feel it as soon as they drive in the driveway! Imagine floating in the small, quiet lake that mirrors the clouds and natural shoreline of the trees. Around you fish are jumping, great heron live here, turtles sunning, birds fishing, dragonflies galore! So bring something to float on. It's 40 minutes away from Grand Rapids which is a fun city to explore. Rockford is 20 minutes and has nice boutiques, restaurants, and a park by the dam. Close to downtown Grand Rapids, MI, 30 minutes from the airport, and about an hour to Lake Michigan, this home is the perfect location for visitors or locals to just kick back and enjoy life.

We just finished renovating our home. Everything is new and up to date. The kitchen is fully-stocked and has all the features of a gourmet chef's dreams. Dishes, appliances, glasses are plenty and high end. In addition to the 8 seating dining table, there are more tables that can extend your seating. The fireplace has an original barn beam mantel and copper chimney. There are plenty of sitting/conversation areas throughout the home. And for the men and kids, there is a man cave with a large screen TV! Outdoors is a calming waterfall, large firepit, grassy lake side yard and beautiful clean sand....everything to make your stay perfect!

The home accommodates a maximum of 15 guests, whether visiting for the day or sleeping in the home. Our neighbors prefer no parties or larger groups than 15 people. We request that our guests respect this so we can continue to share our home with others on VRBO. Many communities have banned vacation rentals for this reason.

On a more positive note, we have a great dock for fishing and a swim raft on the edge of the drop off. There are paddle boards and kayaks at no additional charge. We do have a pontoon (and tube) available for rent, $1,400 for the week, plus gas.

If interested, we can put you in touch with either excellent catering companies or a personal chef, photographers, light maid service, baby sitters, life guards, or boat drivers. The lake is very clean and we have a fresh sandy beach steps from the home.

Nearby there are great bike paths, zip line, Lake Michigan beaches, Grand Rapids breweries, local farm produce and ice cream, and only 15 minutes to downtown Lowell, best ribs in Michigan or a quick 20 - 30 minutes to Grand Rapids.

- "We had a lovely visit. A few things happened...one of the GFI outlets had to be replaced which my son was able to do, we saw a mouse and discovered old food in the basement. We set traps. Then the tornado storm hit very close to us in Kent County! The generator did not automatically come on so my sons had to work on it to discover the oil cap had not been secured by whomever worked on it prior to us. But in spite of these issues, our host was extremely responsive and tried very hard to make everything right. She worked with us at every step and tried to make sure we were taken care of. We had a wonderful time."

Kitchen has all the essentials. Bedrooms were comfortable and simply equipped. Nothing fancy, just a comfy, cottage feel. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom and shower are great. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Neighborhood was quiet and very friendly. Folks out walking waved as we drove by. Plenty of kids around, and the cottage is near a public park and what appears to be a public boat dock. Nancy has all the water toys you might want to use. We never did, but it's available. Highly recommend, and would love to stay at her place again in the future. Thank you so much!"

The other lakes nearby are connected via navigable channels & waterways for miles of boating & fishing fun. Swimming in the lake is clean & clear. The space:
Your space is a beautiful finished loft above the detached garage. The loft is fully finished with central heat and air conditioner. With a separate entrance and coded entry for your access. The loft space is detached from the main house that will be listed on VRBO soon! The loft space has a bedroom with queen bed, behind the queen bed (like a little cubby area) there is a slanted wall with a full size floor mattress. There is a smaller room (with the world decal) it has a trundle twin bed (2 twin mattresses) also have a pack-n-play for small children. Sheets and pillows are all provided. Very comfortable for 4 guests.
Sorry there are no personal boats allowed at this location.

Come and Relax at the outdoor Tiki Bar (Year round use of the grill) outdoor area is complete with year round fireplace and gas heater. Relax in the Summer months on the sandy beach.!
In the winter if the lake is frozen you can clear an area for ice skating. (pack your ice skates! ) There is a sledding hill so bring your own sled if interested. The only shared space is when your outside but there’s plenty of space to just be yourself.

The fall and winter months are wonderful in the loft. Decorated for the seasons, you will enjoy the loft, with a wall fireplace to relax by and set to your liking. A 70” TV provide a theatre like experience in the cozy loft. Popcorn machine is for your use & includes a popcorn packet. Packet provided makes two batch’s of popcorn. Please do not dump all in at once.

Guest Hot Tub is private for guests use only, available for YEAR ROUND use. (No Children under age 16) Hot Tub hours 10am-11pm (please no smoking while in the hot tub) (no glass containers allowed) we have cups to use in the hot tub.

Sauna use is an extra fee ($35) because of the higher cost to run. The Heath benefits it gives is worth the little extra to use.

Guests will have access to the loft above the detached garage. With private coded entry. It is all finished with a very large flat screen 70” tv to enjoy a theater like experience to watch movies. A private bathroom and bedroom. The space also has a small kitchenette which includes a fridge with freezer, microwave, hot plate, convection toaster oven, Ninja Foodi Grill, and coffee maker (Keurig) complete with coffee selections and creamer. There is a hot tub available for year round use, and a sandy beach with chairs and an outdoor lounger. NO EXTRA CHARGES to use the Floats, 4 kayaks, and a 4 person paddle boat all available for your use in season. Paddle Boards 2 qty.

Outdoor fire pit overlooking the lake and outdoor fireplace by the tiki bar, you can bring your own wood or use ours (3 starter logs included with your stay) Fires MUST be attended to at ALL times. If your not directly by it please put the fire out.

Other things to note:
Our ideal guests will be respectful that we have opened up our space to welcome them and will treat our grounds and space the same way we do. Don’t leave your garbage and messes for us to clean up. We expect a guest to not be like a typical hotel guest. Guests are in charge of piling all used linens in the living room prior to check out, and wash any dishes used. Please be responsible, and keep your noise level down after 11pm. Keep your messes picked up after making them. You’ve come to relax and experience the lake life. Most importantly enjoy your time here and RELAX! No parties allowed.
We have 4 outdoor chairs on the beach and a comfy outdoor lounger to relax on. Included with your stay you can use 5 kayaks, (1 Purple 2 Dark Blue 2 Lime Green& 1 Blue smaller child size, there is a 4 person paddle boat as well with a swim ladder for a nice day on the lake! There are also two stand up paddle boards, floats and sand toys all included to use with your stay! Outdoor heater and fireplace are for your use as well.
During the winter months we can have an Ice Skating area cleared on the lake if you ask. You will need to have your own Ice Skates) a sledding hill to the lake. So bring your sled.

There is a seasonal Ice Cream Spot called Charlie’s with a full menu of burgers, fries and many sweet treats, live music and dancing on Wednesday’s. Dollar General is close around the corner for many items you may need. There is a public frisbee golf, playground and picnic center very close by. Across from the Family Dollar there is a kick ball type Game Center that serves beer, wine, and outdoor seating. There are several golf courses nearby, and some cute downtown shopping areas. The sleeping nook behind the master bed is so nice that our teenage kids all wanted that spot. Comfortable beds. Suggestions would be to add instructions for the neat shower, coffee pods for the keurig (love the chai/cocoa/cider though), curtain/blinds for the bedroom window, smaller faucet for the sink, foot bath for getting in the hot tub, dusting of cobwebs outside, and let guests of other house know if we have a designated area of the beach. Updated, Crisp, Sharp. This lake house in the town of Sand Lake, Michigan has been recently updated and possesses many modern touches. When you arrive, you will likely be surprised at how this unassuming home captures the heart and soul of your lakefront experience. Lying in the hammock overlooking the lake is an ideal way to soak in the afternoon. Water toys and a small sandy beach area await your fun-filled get-away experience.

This home is unique in that you enter the home at the main level (bedrooms) and descend into the living space below. The kitchen and living room are both on the lower level. The wooden staircase descending to the lower level is longer than average. (Please use caution with little ones or family with mobility challenges.) All the bedrooms are on the main/entry level. Each of the five (5) bedrooms are decorated to allow you to relax in comfort. Year-round, the fireplace (gas-insert) pulls your group together in the living space. It's idyllic to have a fire burning while looking over the lake when either the snow falls, or the kids are playing on the beach. Each season shines in its own right. Conveniences put the icing on a great experience. Having a separate workspace when traveling with family, or a washer/dryer is tucked in an ideal space are appreciated by many.

The outside deck faces Maston Lake. There are 2 ways to easily descend to the yard/beach area. From the deck, there are only three (3) steps, yet there also is a longer staircase between the garage and the home. Another bonus is that the yard facing the lake has ample space for basic yard games.Plus, grilling overlooking the Maston Lake can't be underrated. While neighbors are within sight, there is comfortable spacing between the lake homes.

Water toys are available for guest use, so fun is always around the corner at the Maston Lake House. It's always a great time of year to visit!

The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a small desk in case our guests need to work. The bathroom is located right down the hallway. The basement level provides a more casual third bedroom (bunk bed (twin/full) and 2 twin luxury cots that are usually configured into a queen bed) and a fourth bathroom.

The Tiki Bar is located right down by the water with a grill, 2 refrigerators, Bluetooth stereo, and includes a splash pad, 5 kayaks, 1 paddle board, and a 4 person pedal boat.
We are pet friendly for(1) house broken dog as long as all shots as well as flee and tick treatment is up to date for $175 for the duration of your stay. We have parking for no more than 4 cars total, two in the garage and two smaller ones in the driveway. No street parking allowed. We also offer day rate for a visitor not to exceed 10 people total including booked guest for $35 each person per day from anytime between 10 am to 10 pm. Hot tub hours are from 8:00am to no later then11:00pm. Please keep the cover closed when no one is in the hot tub. No children under 15 years of age not allowed in the hot tub without an adult. NO parties are allowed do to close neighbors. Not following house guidelines may cause reservation to be canceled without a refund. This is a family neighborhood and quiet place on the lake to relax and enjoy the lake life. We do have outdoor security cameras on site for your protection as well as ours. Guests have access to 1st floor which includes 13x30' living room and dining room. Also lovely courtyard patio and front porch to enjoy during the warmer days

There is a queen size bed in one room and a double bed in the other. I have found my guest like being here by themselves which allows them to relax without worrying who else might be sharing the same open space.

Greenville is home to the Fred Meijer Trail throughout the city and around Baldwin Lake. Greenville is the home of the first Meijer Store. Greenville yearly festival is held the third weekend of August, 2025 will mark the 61st year for the Danish Festival. Many dining attractions in our local area: Hop Hog, Winter Inn, Margo’s (famous for their breakfast), El Rancho or El Jalapeno for Authentic Mexican food and a craft beer favorite, Flat River Brewing. On Thursdays a short drive to Trufant, Michigan known as the Stump Fest Capital, hosts a large flea market of local vendors. While in Trufant, we highly recommend La Cocina, a local community attraction that offers great food and great service.

Three level A-frame house with 100 feet of lake front located on a private lake in a quiet residential neighborhood. Available for recreation are 4 Kayaks, a paddle boat and a row boat. Great lake for fishing, swimming or taking a lap or 2 on the kayaks. In the evening you can sit around the bon fire enjoying the stars or roasting marshmallows and hot dogs.

We positioned the loft window so guests can gaze out while lying on their comfy hybrid queen mattress.
A large, exterior shower accessed via the wrap-around deck features on-demand hot water and a therapeutic smooth Lake Superior stone floor.
The view of the sky through the tall pines, oaks and maples proves stunning.
A high tech composting toilet with electric fan, potable water canisters, and box-framed stairs leading to sleeping loft let guests experience off-grid glamping experience.
Limited electric powers refrigerator, flat screen tv, light, and outlets to charge your phones and devices. Wi-Fi available.
Large community fire pit, fire wood, picnic table, and outdoor seating enhance outdoor experience.

Guest access
Glamp Shack includes private deck and wooded area around shack. A wood staircase leads guests to their Camp. A large community brick fire pit sits near the Camp. Guests may use firewood.
A propane grill is available for use on Camp patio. Cookware, dishes, coffee percolator, bedding, towels, toilet paper, and basic spices will be available in Shack for guests.

Other things to note
There is no smoking or vaping in the cabin.
We do include a king air mattress in the Shack should guests prefer sleeping on the first floor. Children are not permitted in the loft.
We have 4 kayaks, paddles, and flotation devices, plus 2 bikes available to rent. Liability for use is 100% guests’.
There is a Chain Lake nearby. We will transport kayaks to the Lake.
Nearby woodland roads are excellent for biking, running or walking. There are also many bike trails and additional lakes nearby.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. I have lovingly planned to make your stay a lovely and cozy experience. The newly remodeled cottage has gorgeous knotty-pine paneling and comfortable furniture. The cottage lies in a cute RV/mobile home park which has been owned by me, Nancy, for 39 years. While there is plenty of privacy, there is also the safety of sweet and friendly neighbors, where the quiet hours are strictly enforced. Be with me in my little slice of heaven.

The space
The kitchen, dining area and living room is one big, airy, open area. Here you will find a new queen sleeper sofa in the living room for sleeping. In the bedroom is a new queen bed.

There is one bathroom with vanity, shower and toilet.

There are two mini-split air conditioners for heat and cooling. Two ceiling fans add to the air movement.

The front cement patio is 25' x 12' which has 4 comfortable lounging chairs and a picnic table on it. The propane grill is located just off the patio.

Parking for one vehicle is directly in front of the cottage.

It is located in my lovely campground that I have owned for almost 40 years. Come see my little slice of heaven.

Guest access
The whole cottage is open to you. With a short walk of a few hundred yards you will be at the waters edge where you can swim or fish or boat. There are two kayaks and one paddleboat available upon request for you to use at no charge. The vests and cushions needed are also provided.

There is also a pickle ball court available for use.

Lots of green grass and open area to sit in the sun or play games.

For children under 10 years old there is a play set.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space of Knotty Pine Haven. From the lakefront view of the cottage you can see a variety of wildlife: eagles, swans, geese, various birds and others. Sense the peace and relaxation from a recliner to enjoy the lake. The cottage is glorious in the knotty pine wood through out. The cottage was totally remodeled in fall of 2022. There are two kayaks and a paddleboat available upon request. There is also a pickle ball court and other games available.

This wonderful cottage has a 10' x 34' deck to sunbath and view the 414 acre lake with a variety of wildlife including eagles and swans. There is a seating area below the deck also. There are 2 porches: a screened in porch and the glassed in porch. A pickle ball court is just a few yards away. 2 kayaks and a paddleboat are available upon request. The sunsets are marvelous! This is a great place to unwind, relax, becoming more and more peaceful.

Michigan summers at the lake are hard to beat. And when the lake freezes over in the winter, bring your skates and fishing gear and get out on the ice. Spring & fall bring chilly evenings - perfect for indoor relaxation.

Cardinal Cottage is a lakeside cozy home with a spacious yard, beautiful lake views, sandy beach, and chill vibe.
