Cozy cabin on 20 acres (occasional neighbor across the road) where you can enjoy snowmobiling in the Gaylord/Grayling area or ATV riding in the Frederic area. Only 10 mins from Hartwick Pines State Park with camping, hiking trails and cross country skiing. Or cross country skiing and snowshoeing just a couple miles away at Forbush Corner. 20 min drive from Treetops Resort in Gaylord.

There are two bedrooms upstairs, each with a queen bed. The living room on the main floor has a sofa sleeper.
Supplies: we leave coffee, paper towel, garbage bag (s), and toilet paper to get you started: if you’re there for an extended stay you may want to bring more.
Pets are allowed we just ask that they stay off the furniture; there is plenty of room for dogs to run around the 10 acres. Please disclose if you are bringing a pet as there is a small cleaning fee.

We have a large driveway, please park on the gravel not the grass.
Fire pit: you can use any brush you find, but bring wood.

A door lock code will be provided when you book. There is a surveillance camera monitoring the front door/drive. (No cameras/devices inside cabin).

The lake is very clean and surrounded by mature trees for a beautiful setting. We have resident loons and eagles during the summer. Lake has a no-wake rule from 7:30 pm until 11:30 am, allowing for tranquil mornings and evenings, and still plenty of time for all the fun during the day.

Waters and Heart Lake are just 15 minutes to Gaylord with plenty of restaurants and shopping. The cottage is close to I-75 and just an hour to Mackinac or Traverse City.

The kitchen could have used a few more tools and cookware, but we were able to figure it out." - "This lake house was great. So many amenities to keep everybody busy and happy for the whole stay. The grandkids (5 and 6) had a blast and the grownups had plenty to do and not be on top of each other. The lake was quiet and mostly unused by others. Fishing was so/so but not bad. There is a spider that lives on the end of the dock - we named him George. He owns the dock past 9pm and is not afraid to let you know this. Our beds were clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and having laundry on site was amazing. Location was super close to both Grayling and Gaylord. Easy access to I-75."

This two-story lake house has a large high ceiling living room with 3 comfy recliner chairs and recliner couch facing a gas fireplace below a 55-inch tv. Large dining room table plus a large picnic table on the deck overlooking Heart Lake.
Heart Lake is about 63 acres with a maximum depth of 123 feet. It holds a healthy population of rainbow trout, bass, northern pike and perch. It is an all sports lake with a no wake from 7:30 pm until 11:30 am. It has a public launch.
The house is located just over one tenth of a mile from snowmobile trail 7 which is one of the main trails that connect with hundreds of miles of other trails.

Enjoy the peaceful serenity of Northern Michigan. Bunkhouse situated on 16 acres. Many nearby trails for hiking, biking or off roading. Small lake across the street on State property for fishing or kayaking. Only toilet is a clean outhouse.

Please note that there is a main cabin on property which may be occupied by other guests during your stay. This is also listed and can be rented simultaneously which is great for larger groups or multiple families to stay together on the same property.

SNOWMOBILERS DREAM:
This bunkhouse is located in the center of the entire snowmobile trail system. You can ride directly from the bunkhouse to the trails. No need to trailer to the trail heads if you don’t want to. Great riding trails and direct access across the road on Camp Grayling property just North of this property which can also be accessed to the trail system.

Sleeping Bear, Traverse City, Torch Lake ,Mackinac Bridge and Castle Rock! Michelle is a great host and is fast to respond to questions. We will definitely book here again next year! *Having a career background in the pool and hot tub business. We always will make sure the private hot tub at Stellar’s Place is sparkling clean for you on your arrival.

*We provide a nice complimentary snack tray for our guests.

*We provide complimentary coffee flavors of different types of quality coffee , hot coco, marshmallows, and even cappuccino. The coffee maker is new and will do pods or ground coffee beans. Also a nice coffee bean grinder at the coffee bar that currently has fresh Jamaican Blue Mountain whole coffee beans in it.

*We provide complimentary soaps, shampoo’s, tooth paste, dryer sheets, laundry soap for washer and dryer if needed during your stay. There’s box fans there for any reason. Rather to help aid sleep or blow fresh air in/out of a bedroom.
*Pack and Play provided folded up in closet of bedroom with 2 twin beds in it.
*We provide a digital meat thermometer/pots/pans/bowls/plates/silverware/kool aid or water jug/ paper towels/ napkins/ tissues/ popcorn bowls/strainers/limit of paper plates/ limit of plastic silverware/ cooking utensils/spices/ etc. We have Stellar’s Place set up as efficient as possibly to help fulfill your stay and needs, and to assist you with less time packing and MORE TIME with VACATION MODE: ON!

Take a 5 minute drive further into Michaywé and Come for a swim! Plan to grab some dinner for a relaxing evening with the family after you’re done swimming from “Inn The Woods” (restaurant and bar). Which is connected to the same building as the pools/hot tub/ sauna. There’s also a very nice men and women’s locker room you have to walk through in order to get at the pool so you can conviently change and shower off at the club house locker rooms.

Leave right from Stellar’s Place on your snowmobile or ORV. There’s a main trail head 2 minutes away (Old State Rd)…

We are proud to say we are located in the Golf Mecca. There are 17 golf courses in the Gaylord area, with 4 of them within 10 minutes away, beings they’re surround michaywe. One in particular boarders along an old ski hill.

There is also a play-ground at the Michaywe Clubhouse. (Between outdoor pool & Michaywe Pines golf course. Slides, and swing set, and i think it’s horse shoes or something very similar to horse shoes.
Tennis courts along road by club house going to michaywe pines golf course. These are more seasonal. Available during warm and hot months.

Michaywé property owner guest have exclusive seasonal access to our Opal Lake Park & Beach House. This beautiful beach front park is furnished with sun loungers, picnic tables, grills, children's play set, sand volleyball court & more all centered around our private beach house.
