This house is in the beautiful Covered Bridge neighborhood and conveniently located right off the Taconic Parkway, a few miles from Vassar College and just 75 miles north of NYC, making it perfect as either a family home or a weekend getaway. - "We rented this house for our extended family of 6 adults, (2) 5 year olds and a small dog. I have rented numerous houses and this is far and away the best I have ever stayed in. Let me elaborate: The house was immaculate. Everything was exactly as pictured and presented. There was so much room for everyone. The kitchen is beautiful and a pleasure to cook in. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. And the toys for the children…there are so many no need to bring your own. If you enjoy vintage arcade games and shooting hoops indoors this house has it. Now to the pool-it too was clean with pool noodles. I asked if there were floats for the 5 year olds ( their request) and the owner said she would be sure to get 2 for them. When we arrived, to the children’s delight there were 2 floats! The poolside bathroom was a real plus with small children. That is indicative of the kind of person the owner is. Thoughtful, kind and very responsive. She checked in with me numerous times to ensure I didn’t need anything or have any questions. Whenever I messaged her she responded very quickly. And last but not least is the golf cart to ride around the 20 acres. If you’re lucky as you drive around you may see a bunny or a gopher/ groundhog (not sure which it was). In summary this is an oasis that I high recommend."

- "This home was absolutely spotless and clean! The kitchen has all the things you need to whip up a meal and serve it in style. Be aware that there isn’t a dining table in the house, but stools surround the kitchen island for eating. My family found the beds to be extremely comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and well lit. There are stairs to get into the house and to access the downstairs fireplace room, laundry and half bath. The owner was very accessible and responsive. - "I rented the home for my brother's family who flew in for my son's wedding. The home was close enough to where I live so made it very convenient. The house location is great as it's private but close to grocery store, gas station, Dunkin donuts and restaurants. The only comment I would make is that it was very hot for a few of the days that they were in town and the AC cannot go below 70. I think this should be adjusted for situations when humidity and outside temps are high. All rooms had ceiling fans (one that didn't work) so that helped but was still warm for sleeping a couple of the nights. Other than that, it was perfect for our situation. Would definitely recommend."

- "The place was fantastic, just as advertised." - "My friends and I are in our 50's. We planned this fishing trip on the Hudson for bass and the first place we reserved fell through. This Wappinger Falls VRBO location was our fallback and we were very pleased with it and prefer it to where we almost stayed. We had two trucks and a trailered boat. The outside landscaping was fair, but we weren't there for landscaping. The cabin/ home seems to have been recently remodeled. It was furnished well and smelled fragrant and clean. Floors were very clean. The kitchen was perfect for us since we are also foodies and cooked a lot while there. a Large screen TV was in the adjoining living room for a movie and music. Appliances were clean and new; plenty of pots/ pans, etc. A new stacked washer/dryer were in the kitchen, but we did not use them. There were two very nice bathrooms and five or six bedrooms. Beds were comfortable. Outside there was a 2nd floor covered deck for morning coffee overlooking the pond. Saw deer, turkeys and ducks in the field. On first floor, facing the pond was a new picnic table (under the 2nd floor deck). In the yard was a fire pit and four chairs. We bought local wood and sat ourside talking, more music and listening to the peepers with a fire. Overall a very nice place and would reserve it again. We did not need to interact with property owners except for a text I sent upon arrival. Owners did reply. 5 stars, Thanks!"

It also includes a cutting board, knives, dining table, silverware, glasses, mugs and plates. Coffee maker, Electric water heater kettle, Mini refrigerator also included. Refrigerator can be filled with items if you can make a request 24 to 48 hours ahead of your check-in. We can even provide Breakfast/ Dinner if you can request in advance. Relax by our grand floor to ceiling masonry stone fireplace, or enjoy a meal with family and friends with seating for 16! Play games and enjoy breakfast in the kitchen overlooking the private backyard, which includes a hot tub, pool, and pool bar/cabana. Light pours through double stacked windows into our living room which is equipped with an oversized sofa, comfortable swivel chairs, family games, and 75 inch 4K smart TV for connecting to your streaming services. Custom built-in speakers throughout the house and outside by the pool for ultimate entertainment.

The kitchen is fully loaded for you and your group, with dishes, glassware, cutlery, baking items, cookware, toaster oven, dishwasher, stove/oven, and a full coffee machine offering both K-cups and ground coffee. Cook a feast or bake goodies using our chef grade appliances. We stock the house with spices, oils, and other pantry goods to cook a dinner for up to 16 people.

Each bedroom has brand new mattresses and pillows to rest as you enjoy the views of our beautiful wooded backyard retreat. The master bedroom includes a second gas fireplace and reading nook, large walk-in closet, and jacuzzi tub.

Enjoy our large custom built office with high speed WIFI throughout the house. The office has a designated work space for two people. French doors for privacy.

Very special Federal/Greek revival mansion built in 1835. It has been kept immaculately throughout 190 years and the house went through complete renovation in 2020 with new central heat, air conditioning, plumbing and electricity.

Main floor has gourmet kitchen with 2 Viking stoves, 2 dishwashers , baking station/ Bosch oven, Jura coffee maker, well stocked with pots/pans, dishes and glassware. The dining room seats 10 people comfortably.

The living room is very spacious with floor to ceiling windows, filled with sunlight and double fire places on each end. Elegantly furnished with French crystal chandelier, brocade sofa and a grand piano. Half bathroom is next to the living room.

On second floor, there are 3 bedrooms (with 2 king size beds and a queen size bed) and 3 full bathrooms. Additional 2 bedrooms (with full size bed and 2 twin beds) are on the third floor.

The property surroundings the house is 12 acres of lawn and mature trees. There are 5 flower gardens around the main house and the barn. Behind the house, there is restored stone ruin of an outdoor kitchen that can be used for outdoor BBQ. Large fire pit next to the vegetable garden for gathering in the evenings. Private hiking trails along the perimeter of the property.

Across the road on Fishkill Creek riverfront, there is 1.3 acres of meadow with hiking trails. We share the river with migrating geese, turtles and occasionally grey heron flying by and stop to rest on trees.

The space introduces guests to unique woodworking and art a few minutes away from great nature escapes, fine dining and Dia Beacon.
The space
Birds never leave here; they just go silent after the sunset to start again early morning. Sunset is one of the best times to enjoy nature views from several spots in the house. Dears come and go but they seem to have been visiting the property years now. Sometimes 6 or 7 of them, some with antlers some without. Fall asleep in the private sunken living room that enjoys full solar and lunar daily cycle and chipmunks might be looking straight at you standing on the stacked firewood a foot away from you when you open your eyes.
LivingUPstation (furnishing and art) is made entirely out of reclaimed materials. Currently approximately 75 reclaimed heart pine joists dating over 100yrs old and having served as the structural support of 2 adjacent buildings by Central Park West in NYC for another 110 years are re-used to serve as custom made furniture that allow for multiple configurations and adjust to user's needs. Copper and brass tubing that fed the 2 buildings with water and electrical wire that supplied electricity are the other 2 main materials used either to finish furniture frames or to make art.
Together with all other materials reclaimed over the last 10 years a unique space is created that aims to promote sustainability by introducing guests to multifunctional durable furniture that aim to optimize space and adjust to guest’s needs. We are thrilled to have the first stage of LivingUPstation completed and we are able to host up to 10 guests depending on configuration of furniture. Stay in a comfortable room in our farmhouse on 9+ acres with lots of fun activities and a pond just 65 miles north of NYC.
This bedroom is on the first floor of our large farmhouse. It is a bright, sunny room with a comfortable Queen size bed. And with it comes with bathroom with shower that is pretty much private but occasionally shared because it is the only bathroom on the main floor. Also if we have a guest in the basement this is where that guest would shower. (NOTE: There is a half bath in the basement.)
Also enjoy our living room with large screen TV and full privileges in our very spacious kitchen and dining room.
And don't go without enjoying our pond. You can swim, fish ( wide mouth bass and sunnies) and boat. We have a canoe, a kayak, paddle board and a flat bottom boat. Swimming is allowed and highly recommended!

This is truly a unique space, set in the middle of the Hopeland Forest Preserve, built with floor to ceiling wraparound windows on all four sides and a Dutch door so one can take in the mountain air and listen to the sounds of nature. The entire roof is built with plexiglass so true to its name of MoonDance, one can fall asleep to the stars and wake up watching the birds hop from one tree limb to another. There is nothing like it on Airbnb!

This is a unique glamping experience with a private outhouse tent with a special sink/hand washing station with potable water, a gas grill, fire pit, dinner table, sun shower, and your own Adirondack chairs!

At the end of your forest road entrance a half mile away you find the entrance to the Appalachian Trail. That will loop you around to where it crosses Hortontown Road and you can walk back home to Long Hill (1.5-2 hour walk or visa versa).

Down from the cabin just a walk through the woods a way is a stream and a small mountain pond that you can access just for yourself. There are also old wood roads onsite that you can hike in private. You are only five minutes from Fahnestock State Park and hiking and lake swimming and 20 minutes to Hudson Highlands State Park and some of the best views on the East Coast. The closest grocery store is in Hopewell Junction five miles away called Acme. Next to that plaza is another plaza that has a CVS and a place called Hopewell Farm which has grab and go fruit, sushi and good, fresh stuff. Go to Fishkill Farms five minutes away and pick-your-own or grab organic goodies. Hit the City of Beacon 15 minutes away and enjoy the Hudson, hike Mount Beacon, or hang on Main Street. In Poughkeepsie 30 minutes away is the famous Walkway Over The Hudson. You can even bike to that from Hopewell on the Empire Rail Trail that can take you from NYC to Montreal to Buffalo! So much to do only minutes from this private oasis!

The space
Cozy home on 2.7 acre property, including a large yard and a steep wooded area behind the house. We have the beginnings of a small loop trail started in the wooded area that guests are welcome to use. We highly suggest wearing supportive shoes because the terrain is rocky and steep in sections.

We have an open plan kitchen/living room. The dining room is off the kitchen and connected to the porch/backyard.

The main bedroom with king bed is the entire second floor of the house, and includes an office/reading nook, a full bathroom, a spacious walk-in closet, and a private balcony. This room is very spacious, but is “loft style,” and does not have a door. We have installed curtains for some privacy.

The guest bedroom downstairs is a queen bed, and is right next to another full bath and a laundry closet.

The third bed is a queen pullout sofa bed, which is a surprisingly comfortably memory foam mattress!

There are many windows throughout the house, including big sliding doors and skylights.

We have central heat and an electric wood stove that provides extra heat in the LR. We have a wall unit AC upstairs in the main bedroom and window fans available for cooling. The downstairs stays cool in all seasons, even on the hottest days of summer, due to the orientation of the house.

This is not a rental property, we live here, so we have put in a lot of effort to make it comfortable, functional and relaxing. If you have specific questions please let us know!

While it’s not completely isolated, the house is located in a wooded area with only a few houses. If you walk in the grass or wooded area, it’s likely you will encounter ticks. You may also see or hear deer, birds, foxes, squirrels, and coyotes. Please DO NOT try to feed or pet any animals you see, or leave food out for them— this can create very dangerous situations for both animals and people.

The Chapel at Hopeland is the completely restored former Calvary Methodist Church, circa 1845. It took us over a year, painstakingly restoring the original plaster & lathe, the floor, picking historical paints…it was a true labor of love and now we share it for all sorts of events from weddings to roasts, but the anterooms as you enter are now graced (perfect word, right?) with a luxurious queen-size bed and kitchenette with a microwave, air fryer/toaster oven, instant coffee, and mini-fridge! There is an outside patio with a grill, firepit, and Adirondack chairs. There is a small, historic cemetery on the property which you can, respectfully view and research the settlers of Hortontown Road.

Spring through Fall: We took the original woodshed (the size of a tiny house itself) and renovated it into a bathroom with toilet and sink that you can use with the water provided. There is a hammock inside that you can bring outside and hang from trees. There is also a shower area in the bathroom with an outdoor summer shower set-up.

Winter: the privy is set up inside the Chapel in a privacy tent with wipes, garbage and toilet paper - (glamping type toilet and tent). The outhouse is closed for the winter season. There is 3 gallons of water provided in a glamping jug. There is also a liter of drinking water provided in the fridge.

This is a NO SMOKING (in the house) and NO PET (anywhere) property.

PLEASE kick off your shoes when in the Chapel. You may want to bring extra socks or slippers. That’s really important. There is a shoe caddy if you need it and you want to bring your shoes in, but please do not wear your shoes in the Chapel.

You have the run of the whole chapel and the patio behind the chapel where the fire pit/grill is. Just love on it as you would any 178 year old building!

>There is a cemetery of some of the original builders of the hamlet. You may respectfully walk through the cemetery but please do not disturb the grounds.
>This is a UNIQUE space so please review the information. This is a restored church with a kitchenette and a restored bathroom and running water steps away from the main building during the spring through fall, but during winter the bathroom setup is inside the Chapel in a tent with a glamping toilet situation. There is no running water during winter but water is provided in a jug as well as the refrigerator. It is GLAMPING but with heat/AC, a projector to project streaming services off your computer, BUT IT IS GLAMPING. 🙂

One thing: now that winter is settling in we and water will freeze so we moved the privy in a tent into the Chapel so it will be warm when you use it.

Every day should feel like a holiday, so why not treat yourself at our beautiful, spacious Hudson Valley home. Designed with our guests' comfort in mind, the Holiday House is a warm, modern, and cozy environment with natural light and refined decor.

The home is full of classic enclaves- our first level includes a Great room, formal living room, dining room, eat in kitchen, and half bathroom. Our second level holds 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with 8 beds ranging from full size to king, including a room dedicated to 4 full size bunk beds! Our first level houses the laundry area with washer and dryer.

Relax by our grand floor to ceiling masonry stone fireplace, or enjoy a meal with family and friends with seating for 16! Play games and enjoy breakfast in the kitchen overlooking the private backyard, which includes a hot tub, pool, and pool bar/cabana. Light pours through double stacked windows into our living room which is equipped with an oversized sofa, comfortable swivel chairs, family games, and 75 inch 4K smart TV for connecting to your streaming services. Custom built-in speakers throughout the house and outside by the pool for ultimate entertainment.

The kitchen is fully loaded for you and your group, with dishes, glassware, cutlery, baking items, cookware, toaster oven, dishwasher, stove/oven, and a full coffee machine offering both K-cups and ground coffee. Cook a feast or bake goodies using our chef grade appliances. We stock the house with spices, oils, and other pantry goods to cook a dinner for up to 16 people.

Each bedroom has brand new mattresses and pillows to rest as you enjoy the views of our beautiful wooded backyard retreat. The master bedroom includes a second gas fireplace and reading nook, large walk-in closet, and jacuzzi tub.

Enjoy our large custom built office with high speed WIFI throughout the house. The office has a designated work space for two people. French doors for privacy.

The house has everything you need for a great stay:
Pool area w/ BBQ, outdoor seating, game room, gym, and a huge lawn with views + lots of thoughtful amenities - house slippers, toiletries, fluffy towels, and more.

You'll have access to the entire house -
Open main floor includes 1/2 bath and relaxing front porch - kitchen, open to the living room, has a coffee maker, toaster, water heater, ninja, sodastream, full spice rack, and the usual kitchen stuff - as well as Sonos speakers. Dining room and 2nd living room complete the first floor.

Upstairs, there are 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The beds all have memory foam mattresses, with Brooklinen bedding and duvets on all the Queen beds, and mountain views off in the distance for most bedrooms.

Walkout lower level has a bedroom with a queen bed, small sleeping alcove, full bathroom, workout equipment, and game room with ping pong plus pacman and NBA Jam arcades, and Sonos speakers -

Great backyard with a heated in-ground pool (open until ~October 1st), hot tub open year-round, BBQ, seating / eating areas, hammock and firepit, and 2nd floor deck for relaxation.

Please do not rely on the pool heater to achieve any desired temperature; the water temp is usually comfortable through the heart of summer. Optional pool heat is 200/ 3-day weekend/ 500 for a week

The house is appropriate for families, couples, and quiet groups who want a peaceful setting in a convenient family-friendly location. It is not suitable for parties, chaos, and or loud outdoor noise. Fireworks of any kind or any size are not permitted. There are cameras and noise detectors on the exterior of the property.

The hot tub can be damaged if left uncovered while not in use. Hot tub damages start at $200 if it needs a cleaning/ water replacement due to debris, to potentially $1k or more if any of the systems are damaged. Leaving it uncovered also uses a lot of electricity; evidence of it being uncovered for a significant period of time while not in use will be charged at $100 per day.

If you book:
There is an additional lease to be signed, and a direct security deposit. I will send it to you to complete and sign once a reservation is made on Airbnb. If it is not completed, reservation will be cancelled. It includes names and cell numbers for any guest above 18 (there are no unregistered guests allowed on the property at all), disclosures and liability waivers, and penalties in the event of damage and or noise violations/ disturbing the neighbors.

Any extra guests, violation of noise regulations, and or partying, will lead to immediate eviction without any refund or rent or security deposit whatsoever.

If you are at all concerned about anyone in your group following any of the party or noise rules, please book elsewhere - no one wants to get kicked out by the police in middle of a party and lose their deposit.

There is one part of the basement that has our personal things , so we ask that you do not go in this area. Also the finished room in the basement does not have heat so please be aware of this if renting in the winter months.
