The Space:
Casa de Sueños: This has been my family home since 2005. The home has undergone numerous renovations over the years the last one being in 2020 to the present. There is a whole house generator which runs the entire house and could run for days given enough propane.

This home is heated and air conditioned by a multi level pair of 2.5 ton newer upper and lower level AC systems with ultraviolet light on the return, ceiling fans, and a whole house suction fan at the top of the stairs. This allows you to evacuate all the air or open windows and draw air with a fan for rapid cooling. There is a wood burning fireplace and we will have firewood on hand for your stay in the fall and winter. I also use a .003 micron air purifier to enhance the air quality. You will spending 1/3 of the time in one of the beds and so that is why I carefully selected from the best mattresses on the market. I believe you will get a great night sleep. The owner bedroom upstairs has a king-sized Puffy Hybrid Deluxe and it is heavenly. One of the other bedrooms has a Queen Nectar. You'll hopefully see the whole diaspora of wildlife while you are here--birds, wood ducks, deer, beaver, and even otters! There also could be a gator, snake or lizard so please don't let your kids and pets run off alone.

We have a Rinnai hot water system which means you can use all the hot water need and adjust the temperature. We use satellite internet here and is about 70 mps download and 6 mps upload speed. When a storm rolls in there will be intermittent disruptions. You may get buffering now and then particularly during intense cloud cover. I have had a chance to test the buffering by streaming on all 5 televisions on a clear day, my laptop and phone and did not experience any buffer issues. These are smart TV's so you should use your logins and remember to sign out of them before you leave. You can also cast content from your phone to a TV of your choice. The kitchen has just about every imaginable utensil or dish you might need for everyday use, plastic by the pool and silver rimmed China for a special event. The refrigerator is a '20 Cafe Deluxe-Bake a cake or eat a lobster-grill, steam or fry. Air-Fry or BBQ on the grill. Just bring the food and special spices. Plan a gathering and take lots of pictures!

The Neighborhood:
This is Exurbia. The border line between rural and urban fringe. We are only 4 miles from Publix and Bannerman crossings, 15 minutes to a hospital down Centerville Road, can drive to Georgia and Thomasville on a dirt road that crosses the state line--walk a paved 5K across the street alongside Centerville and Pisgah Church. It is very quiet here.

Laundry Room: fully stocked with detergent, spot remover, iron, etc.
Butlers Pantry: full size 2nd refrigerator/freezer for sodas, water, etc. For your convenience the laundry room is fully stocked. Guest may provide their own laundry detergent if a special brand is required due to sensitivity or allergies or if you wish, let us know the particular brand and we will have it here for you when you arrive.

Multiple herds of deer can be seen grazing on the property or just passing through. This is a wonderful daily occurrence. We see a lot of new fawns every spring and they are so sweet.

Privacy Is A Major Bonus: The home is situated on a large lot with plenty of parking for guests.

This is a fantastic neighborhood! If you are a runner or enjoy a nice walk then you will love this neighborhood.

All of the items in the refrigerator and pantry are there for you to use. Items like salad dressing, spices and anything else. It is all there for you.

Publix Grocery - conveniently located about 3 minutes away. They will also deliver within 2 hours of placing your order online.

Publix, Fresh Market, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Super Target and Walmart are the Northside Grocery stores. Publix is closest. Fresh Market, Trader Joes, and Whole Foods are fantastic grocery stores too so it's really up to you.

Restaurants: The best steaks in the city are downtown at Shula's, Cypress and The Edison or very nearby Blue Halo and Mom & Dad's Italian Restaurant - We highly recommend you make a reservation ASAP if you guys are planning to go out to eat on football weekends. It is crazy busy and the best restaurants get booked up early.

Nestled in a neighborhood serenely shaded by the outstretched leaves and limbs of centuries old live oaks, driving here is a unique experience in itself. The lengthy and accommodating driveway compliments the generously sized front yard, while the larger, yawning back yard slopes gently down to a sheltered cove along Lake Iamonia’s southwestern extremity. Deer and fawns, egrets, hawks, and other wildlife roam throughout. The lengthy dock escorts you into the calm, swampy confines of the cove, where you can indulge in a chorus of waterbirds, frogs, and the gentle breezes flowing through lilies, reeds, and cypress. Care is needed when traversing the dock, some planks are in disrepair. Inside, the soaring, 2-story great room is the undisputed jewel of the Interior. Its ample windows bid you to soak in the calm landscape of the backyard and lake, and the height and breadth of the windows afford effortless viewing of wildlife roaming the rear grounds. The seating is a touch sparse to accommodate a very large gathering. The kitchen, woody, open, and bright, is reasonably- to well-stocked with cookware, although its age is beginning to show. The microwave is placed rather inconveniently at waist height opposite the fridge. Otherwise, all appliances are newer and situated nicely. The island allows for plentiful prep and buffet space, while the oversized dining table and island counter offer seating for most everyone in a large party. The 2 pantries provide plentiful storage for a longer stay. Upstairs, the 2nd floor master bedroom suite is well-sized, most especially the bathroom, which is quite stunning. The huge windows and large balcony are an added treat. The additional upstairs bedroom is opposite the loft area, but the lack of another 2nd floor bathroom is inconvenient. Filling out the downstairs, the many small bedrooms each sport 2 full-size bunk beds for a whopping 16 mattresses downstairs, providing an incredible amount of sleeping space for overnight guests. However, there only being 1.5 bathrooms downstairs, which also must be shared with the other upstairs bedroom, means that the bathroom situation would be strained for an overnight gathering. The downstairs bathroom is, however, absolutely palacial, with a massive walk-in shower and even larger oversized jacuzzi tub, is remarkably extravagant. In sum, scenic area, great house, large parties must ration bathrooms."

There is a spacious bedroom with a queen bed, a walk-in closet, and a work desk. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa, which is shorter in length than most queens. It will sleep 2 children or 2 shorter adults, (5’9” or less), comfortably. The eat-in kitchen is stocked with the basics necessary for preparing and serving meals. Perfectly perched on one of Tallahassee's most popular lakes, abundant outdoor recreation awaits -- a winding boardwalk leads to a large dock for sunset lounging, a fantastic public boat ramp is less than 3 minutes away for the fishing/boating enthusiast, and just 15 minutes away by boat is "The Fish Camp" for dining and entertainment -- the venue is well known as a must-visit by locals, almost always features live music on the waterfront, and has great food and cold beer.

There are two lovely bedrooms with a full shared bath and an additional 1/2 bath. Both rooms have queen beds. There is a sectional sofa that comfortably convert to 2 twin beds. We have lots of extra linens. If you wish to bring a blow up bed, there is plenty of room as well. The house is an open concept, kitchen, dining, living and dining room and all of the french doors open on to the 1000 square foot patio with a fireplace. You can be in any room and be with everyone. It's wonderful for kicking back and or hosting a gathering. There is a fully equipped laundry room.The bedrooms are quiet space and lovely. There is a huge outdoor patio, 1000 square feet looking out on the lush back yard which is very private. We have lots of wildlife which is enchanting. We have lots of falcons and Eagles, squirrels, bunnies, deer, and fox. The neighborhood is part of a bird sanctuary, so there are birds singing everywhere, rain or shine.

You will have full access to the entire house except the owners bedroom which is closed off. The owner will not be on premises. You will be registered with security and be able to easily go in and out of the community using the visitors gate. You will come in and out through the west gate.
