The McCauley House was built in 1920 as a single family home. From what we can tell the McCauley Family owned it for nearly 100 years and at some point in time they did a conversion to a 4-plex apartment building. We bought the building in 2022 and have worked hard to restore every room. in this apartment you will find 2 original fireplaces, 11' Ceilings and all of the modern amenities that you would expect to include a King Bed, Fully Stocked Kitchen and Large Soaking Tub. The apartment features High Speed Internet with an access point for ethernet and Smart TV's in both the living room and the bedroom.

The listing is made for 2 but we understand you may have children or a guest. Please register all additional children/guest and we are able to accommodate with an air mattress or pack and play if needed.

The Haw River Trail is currently open to the public are four recreational parks, 20 miles of hiking trails, approximately 40 miles of paddle trail, and 14 paddle accesses extending through Alamance County from Guilford County to the Alamance County-Orange County line.

- "We stayed 2 nights in apt B. This home is in a location close to so many things, very close to downtown. The property was just as listed. It has large, open spaces in bedroom, living room, and kitchen. The bathroom was nice and larger than many. There was a bench and a cart that sits next to the sink, to hold toiletries and curling irons, etc. This is not in the photos, and we found it very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the curtains allowed us to have it good and dark. We appreciated a private parking lot just for guests. There were several washer/dryer units available for use. The doors all had touch pads for unlocking and it was good to be key-free. Gayla was responsive and helpful, a great host! We would recommend this stay."

Loved the water pressure in the shower and how fast it got hot. They were a little sparce on some kitchen items. No tea kettle and no pepper. But otherwise we were able to make our breakfasts just fine. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and the house is on a main road so its loud, but that's not a deal breaker for us. It was convenient in that the places we went to were all within 15-20 minutes. Check out downtown Graham when staying here. It's quaint and there are some great restaurants. We enjoyed out stay and would recommend it to others."

Charming 2-bedroom home in central Graham with rocking chair front porch! Our beautiful, family and pet-friendly home is one side of a georgeously remodeled duplex. Walk across the street to the lovely Bill Cooke Park. Just blocks from downtown Graham. A short drive to restaurants, breweries, and museums. Only minutes to Elon. Our kitchen is fully-equipped. Enjoy a cozy table in the den for doing work.

You can easily reach me or my property manager, Amy, through the booking website or over phone or text. Amy lives nearby so can be over if there's a need in just a few minutes. You'll love the peaceful, yet centrally located neighborhood that is lined by the spacious and eventful Bill Cooke park. Our home is an easy drive many of local favorites: Press Coffee + Crepes, Forgotten Road Ales, Fitzgerald and Faulkner cocktail bar, Little Brother Brewing, Whit’s Frozen Custard, Powercade Arcade and Bar, Graham Soda Shop, Luigi’s, Smokehouse at Steve’s, and The Graham Cinema, among others. The Graham Mill, a local wedding and event venue, is also just a short walk away! A central location just off the interstate, the house is minutes from Elon University (7 miles), downtown Burlington, Saxapahaw River Mill Village, LabCorp and the Tanger Outlets in Mebane. It is also about 30 minutes from Greensboro, Durham and Chapel Hill, under an hour to Raleigh, 20 minutes to Hillsborough. Enjoy hiking on the Haw River Trail or taking a kayak tour of the nearby Haw River. If traveling with kids, the Alamance Children’s Museum is a few blocks away and the Burlington City Park is a great spot with a playground, carousel, train rides, and a splash park for summer. Also very close to 4 different medical centers.

The best way to get around the neighborhood is to drive. But don't worry, there's plenty of parking anywhere you'd like to go. That's one of the things that makes Graham such a charming town to visit. It's not too busy yet, like so many other places, but there's still tons of stuff to do.

The shampoo and conditioner and body wash was so needed as i forgot mine. The tooth brushes were appreciated as well. I didnt realize what all i forgot as we were rushing out the door. Everything was very well stocked and needed. Our only complain is your cleaning crew needs to step it up a little, the microwave was not wiped out so I had to wash it out before we used it. Washed out some of the shelves in the fridge, vacuumed the floors and swept off all the baseboards. I am a house cleaner and the baseboards and ceiling fans and door jams need to be dusted off at times. The trash can in the kitchen smelled so strong of cigarettes I had to set the trash can out on the porch (we are non smokers) I sprayed it with lysol but the smell never did go away. So sorry to even meantion these minor things but just thought the cleaning crew might want to do the microwave at least. Thank you again we would recommend this place to anyone as we really loved being just 4 min. From the Graham Mill Venue where we were going for a wedding. Clayton's 1910 mill house has been in our family for almost 100 years. We took all our experience on VRBO and totally updated it, combining the best of the new while keeping the atmosphere of days gone by.

Clayton's house was built by The Virginia Mills Company in 1910. The mill burned down but some of the houses remain. This one has been in our family for almost 100 years.

In 2021/2022 we took our experience with VRBO to create an experience that we hope you will love. Everything is totally renovated yet we kept the atmosphere of a 1910 house. Several pieces of furniture are original to the house, such as the pie safe.

Whether you are coming to the area to relax or work you will find this house an excellent choice.

The living room features two leather couches, a gas fireplace, a 70 inch smart TV, games, Alexa, and Alexa-enabled lights to create a variety of settings and moods.

The bedroom has a king-size memory foam mattress, room darkening shades, a 70 inch TV, charging plugs for your phones and tablets, Alexa to play your favorite music, and Alexa-enabled lights. We even have two beds for your pets should you need them.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook including oven, microwave, and air fryer along with locally sourced coffee and many spices.

The bathroom was completely remodeled and features a rain shower.

The second bedroom is small but features two bunk beds and a Jeffersonian-era desk and a mailbox lamp, which was chosen because Clayton had mailbox 1 when Swepsonville had a post office.

Outside, the property is one acre. The front porch overlooks the small lake, and on weekends in the summer, local bands usually play at the Swepsonville Market, which is across the lake. When playing, you can sit on the porch and listen to the music or walk across the lake and hear the band firsthand.

On the back deck, you can relax with the fire pit during the evenings or grill your favorite food. The backyard is fenced in if you are bringing your pets

If you own an electric car, we have a level 2 EV charger installed with J1772 and Tesla adapter for your convenience.

There are a lot of things to do located within a short distance. Saxapahaw is a restored mill town just 10 minutes away. It features Haw River Farmhouse Ales, The Eddy Pub, Haw River Ballroom, Rivermill (which is a 146-year-old former cotton mill), the Saxaphaw General store, and plenty of outdoor hiking. Clayton's place is only minutes from Burlington, Graham and Mebane and 30 minutes to Raleigh.

Only small suggestion would be improved front porch lighting for after-dark arrivals. As an fyi, we brought our small dog (~20 pound Beagle) and knew that the back yard had a small area with a wooden fence. We couldn't tell from the photos if the fence had wiring to keep the dog contained. It does; however, our dog probably could have jumped over the fence so we kept her on a leash even inside the fenced area."

Newly decorated home, in quiet, safe neighborhood. It is centrally located between Greensboro(25 miles) and Durham/Chapel Hill (25 miles). Perfect for traveling nurses. Also located about 4.5 miles from Mebane and 8.9 miles from Elon. Check out my guidebook with lots of places to visit in the surrounding area. There is a large deck with seating perfect for grilling out, and a well stocked kitchen. Both bedrooms have adjustable queen size beds with luxury linens and Smart TV’s.

Charming 2-bedroom home in central Graham with rocking chair front porch! Our beautiful, family and pet-friendly home is one side of a georgeously remodeled duplex house. Walk across the street to the lovely Bill Cooke Park. Just blocks from downtown Graham. A short drive to restaurants, breweries, museum, and more. Only minutes to Elon University. Our kitchen is fully-equipped. Enjoy a cozy, windowside table for doing work.

You'll love the peaceful, yet centrally located neighborhood that is lined by the spacious and eventful Bill Cooke park. Our home is an easy drive many of local favorites: Press Coffee + Crepes, Forgotten Road Ales, Fitzgerald and Faulkner cocktail bar, Little Brother Brewing, Whit’s Frozen Custard, Powercade Arcade and Bar, Graham Soda Shop, Luigi’s, Smokehouse at Steve’s, and The Graham Cinema, among others. The Graham Mill, a local wedding and event venue, is also just a short walk away!
