The McCauley House was built in 1920 as a single family home. From what we can tell the McCauley Family owned it for nearly 100 years and at some point in time they did a conversion to a 4-plex apartment building. We bought the building in 2022 and have worked hard to restore every room. in this apartment you will find 2 original fireplaces, 11' Ceilings and all of the modern amenities that you would expect to include a King Bed, Fully Stocked Kitchen and Large Soaking Tub. The apartment features High Speed Internet with an access point for ethernet and Smart TV's in both the living room and the bedroom.

The listing is made for 2 but we understand you may have children or a guest. Please register all additional children/guest and we are able to accommodate with an air mattress or pack and play if needed.

Burlington City Park has one of the final Denzel Carousels. Ours has been fully restored and amazing. There is also a small park with rides and walking trails.

The Haw River Trail is currently open to the public are four recreational parks, 20 miles of hiking trails, approximately 40 miles of paddle trail, and 14 paddle accesses extending through Alamance County from Guilford County to the Alamance County-Orange County line.

- "We stayed 2 nights in apt B. This home is in a location close to so many things, very close to downtown. The property was just as listed. It has large, open spaces in bedroom, living room, and kitchen. The bathroom was nice and larger than many. There was a bench and a cart that sits next to the sink, to hold toiletries and curling irons, etc. This is not in the photos, and we found it very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the curtains allowed us to have it good and dark. We appreciated a private parking lot just for guests. There were several washer/dryer units available for use. The doors all had touch pads for unlocking and it was good to be key-free. Gayla was responsive and helpful, a great host! We would recommend this stay."

- "Very nice and clean will definitely use again . Loved my stay❤️" - "We loved the decor! The pillow were very comfortable, the bed was good as well. Loved the water pressure in the shower and how fast it got hot. They were a little sparce on some kitchen items. No tea kettle and no pepper. But otherwise we were able to make our breakfasts just fine. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and the house is on a main road so its loud, but that's not a deal breaker for us. It was convenient in that the places we went to were all within 15-20 minutes. Check out downtown Graham when staying here. It's quaint and there are some great restaurants. We enjoyed out stay and would recommend it to others."

Charming 2-bedroom home in central Graham with rocking chair front porch! Our beautiful, family and pet-friendly home is one side of a georgeously remodeled duplex. Walk across the street to the lovely Bill Cooke Park. Just blocks from downtown Graham. A short drive to restaurants, breweries, and museums. Only minutes to Elon. Our kitchen is fully-equipped. Enjoy a cozy table in the den for doing work.

You can easily reach me or my property manager, Amy, through the booking website or over phone or text. Amy lives nearby so can be over if there's a need in just a few minutes. You'll love the peaceful, yet centrally located neighborhood that is lined by the spacious and eventful Bill Cooke park. Our home is an easy drive many of local favorites: Press Coffee + Crepes, Forgotten Road Ales, Fitzgerald and Faulkner cocktail bar, Little Brother Brewing, Whit’s Frozen Custard, Powercade Arcade and Bar, Graham Soda Shop, Luigi’s, Smokehouse at Steve’s, and The Graham Cinema, among others. The Graham Mill, a local wedding and event venue, is also just a short walk away! A central location just off the interstate, the house is minutes from Elon University (7 miles), downtown Burlington, Saxapahaw River Mill Village, LabCorp and the Tanger Outlets in Mebane. It is also about 30 minutes from Greensboro, Durham and Chapel Hill, under an hour to Raleigh, 20 minutes to Hillsborough. Enjoy hiking on the Haw River Trail or taking a kayak tour of the nearby Haw River. If traveling with kids, the Alamance Children’s Museum is a few blocks away and the Burlington City Park is a great spot with a playground, carousel, train rides, and a splash park for summer. Also very close to 4 different medical centers.

The best way to get around the neighborhood is to drive. But don't worry, there's plenty of parking anywhere you'd like to go. That's one of the things that makes Graham such a charming town to visit. It's not too busy yet, like so many other places, but there's still tons of stuff to do.

The shampoo and conditioner and body wash was so needed as i forgot mine. The tooth brushes were appreciated as well. I didnt realize what all i forgot as we were rushing out the door. Everything was very well stocked and needed. Our only complain is your cleaning crew needs to step it up a little, the microwave was not wiped out so I had to wash it out before we used it. Washed out some of the shelves in the fridge, vacuumed the floors and swept off all the baseboards. I am a house cleaner and the baseboards and ceiling fans and door jams need to be dusted off at times. The trash can in the kitchen smelled so strong of cigarettes I had to set the trash can out on the porch (we are non smokers) I sprayed it with lysol but the smell never did go away. So sorry to even meantion these minor things but just thought the cleaning crew might want to do the microwave at least. Thank you again we would recommend this place to anyone as we really loved being just 4 min. From the Graham Mill Venue where we were going for a wedding. Clayton's 1910 mill house has been in our family for almost 100 years. We took all our experience on VRBO and totally updated it, combining the best of the new while keeping the atmosphere of days gone by.

Clayton's house was built by The Virginia Mills Company in 1910. The mill burned down but some of the houses remain. This one has been in our family for almost 100 years.

In 2021/2022 we took our experience with VRBO to create an experience that we hope you will love. Everything is totally renovated yet we kept the atmosphere of a 1910 house. Several pieces of furniture are original to the house, such as the pie safe.

Whether you are coming to the area to relax or work you will find this house an excellent choice.

The living room features two leather couches, a gas fireplace, a 70 inch smart TV, games, Alexa, and Alexa-enabled lights to create a variety of settings and moods.

The bedroom has a king-size memory foam mattress, room darkening shades, a 70 inch TV, charging plugs for your phones and tablets, Alexa to play your favorite music, and Alexa-enabled lights. We even have two beds for your pets should you need them.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook including oven, microwave, and air fryer along with locally sourced coffee and many spices.

The bathroom was completely remodeled and features a rain shower.

The second bedroom is small but features two bunk beds and a Jeffersonian-era desk and a mailbox lamp, which was chosen because Clayton had mailbox 1 when Swepsonville had a post office.

Outside, the property is one acre. The front porch overlooks the small lake, and on weekends in the summer, local bands usually play at the Swepsonville Market, which is across the lake. When playing, you can sit on the porch and listen to the music or walk across the lake and hear the band firsthand.

On the back deck, you can relax with the fire pit during the evenings or grill your favorite food. The backyard is fenced in if you are bringing your pets

If you own an electric car, we have a level 2 EV charger installed with J1772 and Tesla adapter for your convenience.

There are a lot of things to do located within a short distance. Saxapahaw is a restored mill town just 10 minutes away. It features Haw River Farmhouse Ales, The Eddy Pub, Haw River Ballroom, Rivermill (which is a 146-year-old former cotton mill), the Saxaphaw General store, and plenty of outdoor hiking. Clayton's place is only minutes from Burlington, Graham and Mebane and 30 minutes to Raleigh.

Only small suggestion would be improved front porch lighting for after-dark arrivals. As an fyi, we brought our small dog (~20 pound Beagle) and knew that the back yard had a small area with a wooden fence. We couldn't tell from the photos if the fence had wiring to keep the dog contained. It does; however, our dog probably could have jumped over the fence so we kept her on a leash even inside the fenced area."

The McCauley House was built in 1920 as a single family home. From what we can tell the McCauley Family owned it for nearly 100 years and at some point in time they did a conversion to a 4-plex apartment building. We bought the building in 2022 and have worked hard to restore every room. In this apartment you will find an original fireplace and all of the modern amenities that you would expect to include a King Bed, Fully Stocked Kitchen and Tile Shower. The apartment features High Speed Internet with an access point for ethernet and Smart TV's in both the living room and the bedroom.

The main house has Smart Locks where all tenants will enjoy common space, laundry room and a great front porch seating area - this porch is the best spot in the house for watching storms! All apartments are rented as full units with two entrances/exits for safety and convenience.

We are not far from the property and we will be able to help if you were to need anything but we will not be stopping by or checking in unless you specifically needed something.

- "I loved staying in this apartment, and would definitely stay here again. The rooms are charmingly and thoughtfully decorated, and well supplied for an average traveler’s needs. All rooms have ceiling fans, which would be great in summer. Windows all around bring sunlight throughout the day, and the neighborhood is very calm and quiet and not far from I-40. This apartment is on the second floor, up a flight of stairs (outdoors) and doesn’t have a washer/dryer. These weren’t a problem for us, but are worth mentioning. Beds were a little firm but comfy overall, and the kitchen had the essentials, including a coffee maker with supplies to get started. The convenience to Graham, Burlington, and Mebane was great. The space
Please note we are in the country and there is an occasional bug! If you’re afraid of them, this is not the place for you! The room is a brand new remodel of an old farm building. The room is a small (about 14' × 12') standalone cottage, cozy and well appointed, with a shared kitchen next door. There is a large deck in front and behind, where you'll find a jacuzzi.

There is a covered breezeway with patio furniture. The catering kitchen shares a roof with and you are welcome to use all amenities there. Some of our tiny home community residents use the space occasionally for laundry (you can, too).

We are dog friendly. We allow up to 2 dogs in the room and have a $25 pet fee.

Guest access
Jacuzzi, kitchen (with laundry), outdoor patio space, deck + 30 acres to roam! We ask that you give our tiny home residents on Tiny Home Run some privacy. We have a trail that loops the property that is about 1 mile. Haw Creek borders the property on one side, which makes for some lovely views, plus pups can roam across all 4 meadows.

This is a dog friendly community, but please note dogs need to be well behaved and cleaned up after. We
have a $25 pet fee and allow no more than 2 dogs in the room. We have leash hours on property from 6-7:30
am and 5-6:30 pm. If your dog is aggressive or doesn't listen well, we suggest walking on a leash during those hours as other dogs will be on a leash too. All other hours are off leash and you will likely bump into a resident walking on the property!

This studio unit is available for one person (no pets). It’s simple but has everything you need: kitchen, queen bed, study/office area & a sunny deck out the back. A bit rustic so don’t expect the Ritz. Ground floor means nature’s outside your door (in case you are nature allergic or arachnophobic). Safe & quiet neighborhood. Double dead end. If interested, send an INQUIRY first (not a booking request) so we can be on the same page re: details and updates before reserving. Thank you!

The space
This is a single person listing. The entire indoor space is yours but yours only; no overnight visitors, please. Day guests must be supervised and need to leave the premises by 10 PM. They are not to wander the property or use the pool. The queen size bed is on the firm side and the retro ‘60s couch is even firmer! Regarding materials, I try to use natural cleaning products, fragrance-free detergent and cotton linens whenever possible. But natural is not guaranteed. If you are super specific re: fragrances and fabrics, please look elsewhere. The pool is chlorinated. Outdoors, the back deck/yard is very private. The only time the neighborhood gets noise is when we hear the loud speaker system from the nearby high school during a game.

The pool area is out the back door. Though not actually “amazing”, it’s still fun (day guests not allowed access, though). Feel free to sit anywhere on the deck. Arrange chairs however you like but please return them to their original positions at checkout. We might meet but I usually swim late at night.The pool is a perk and not a promise. If mechanical work needs to be done and the pool is not adequately cleaned or accessible, there is no discount or refund. Nature is right outside your door and can even creep inside. If you are an arachnophobe and/or allergic to the NC countryside, please spare yourself. Find a second story rental instead!

Other things to note
The bathroom is not as well insulated as the apartment so in extreme hot or cold conditions, best to leave the bathroom door closed (it does have its own space heater). No guest animals of any kind are allowed, including assistance animals, because I am asthmatic. The presence of an animal on the premises would be a severe health hazard for me. Thank you for abiding by Airbnb‘s recommendation for transparent communication on these issues. Coffee, tea and a variety of sweeteners are provided. Sometimes previous guests leave unused supplies for the next incomers. If you have issues with spiders, please don’t request a booking. The apartment is kept insect free but there is no guarantee that one(s) can’t wander in.

Newly decorated home, in quiet, safe neighborhood. It is centrally located between Greensboro(25 miles) and Durham/Chapel Hill (25 miles). Perfect location for traveling nurses. We are also about 4.5 miles from Mebane and 8 miles from Elon. Check out my guidebook with lots of places to visit in the surrounding area. The property is located in the lovely, historic neighborhood of Mebane, NC. There are woods on three sides. There’s an outdoor deck with a table and chairs for your enjoyment.

The house has been completely renovated, including new plumbing, electric, appliances, etc. Each bedroom is furnished with a comfortable bed, a dresser, bedside tables and bedside lamps. There are hardwood floors throughout.

The kitchen and living areas have new Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring. It’s a completely open concept with a large kitchen island, tons of storage space, kitchen cooking supplies and utensils.

My goal is that my guests will need only to bring their clothes and their personal items. You can purchase food at one of several grocery stores nearby. This little cottage will be your “home away from home!"

The space
This historic home is light and airy and comfortable. Hardwood floors, unusual original windows and the biggest pecan tree in the backyard that you've ever seen--I'm told it's 125 years old!

This is a "kit house" - literally built from a kit, sometime in the 1920's. You'll notice that my neighbor's house is rather similar. Her grandfather remembers these two houses being built!

I spend as much time here as I can, and I love to cook. The kitchen is fully functional, well beyond basics; and there are several grocery stores nearby.

Mebane has several delish restaurants downtown (very walkable), plus there is literally any style restaurant or cuisine you might want within reasonable driving distance in Durham, Chapel Hill, Burlington, Raleigh, etc.

I just bought the house a few years ago to be near my folks but am finishing acupuncture school in Colorado, so I'm hosting when I'm unable to be here. It's been a labor of love getting the house in better shape, and I'm proud of the results! I love sharing my cute little house with my guests, so thanks for looking!

A couple of additional notes:

The entire Airbnb space is on the main, ground floor level; but there is one step to get onto the porch.

The house will comfortably sleep 4 adults. The 3rd bedroom has sufficient space to sleep an additional person (bed not provided) or to be used as a baby room with your pack-n-play. Some guests have moved one of the twin mattresses to the office to create a 3rd BR, but please ask first.

PET NOTE: the options for pet fee setup is limited on the AirBnb website. The flat fee per dog covers 2 days, so if your stay is longer--and therefore furrier--I will request additional pet fee payment (which you and I will negotiate, depending on length of stay, size of dog(s), etc.). I promise to be fair! :-) I want you to be able to travel with your furry friends!

PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT DISCOUNT FOR LONGER STAYS. Long-term stays (over 30 days) will require a signed rental agreement. The agreement just helps ensure that expectations are clearly set, including more detailed house rules, basic maintenance (such as setting out garbage and recycling for collection), etc. It's not very different, but just formalizes things for both of us. Also long-terms guests will have access to the basement with laundry and additional storage space.

You'll have access to the entire living area of the house on the main floor. The basement -- a work in progress -- will be closed off. Someday it might be another space to stay, but now it's just storage. However, you are welcome to use the backyard and back patio.

Other things to note
Please be aware of a couple of things in this 100-year-old house: 1) the cherry hardwood floors do creak! 2) the dishwasher isn't available for use. It's on its last legs, but can't be replaced until the countertops are changed out.

You are welcome to bring your well-behaved dog(s), but no cats--I'm allergic! But please keep your furry friend(s) off the living room furniture! Sheets to cover the furniture are provided.

Be aware: although the yard is fenced, the fence itself is definitely on the to-do list and is not escape-proof!

This stylish place to stay is perfect for group and family trips. The house is a 4 bedroom and 3 full bathroom home. There is a workspace inside and a small area for relaxing in the backyard. Pets are welcome! The property is 11 minutes from Mebane, 37 minutes from Durham, and 33 minutes from Greensboro. There are a variety of restaurants, shopping centers, parks, night clubs, Cinema, and other attractions.

The space
The property is located in the country about 30 miles east Greensboro NC and 30 miles west of RDU ( Durham/Chapel Hill ).
It is an old mill site with an old rock dam creating a mill pond and cascading waterfall. There is a tail race(pipe) that runs over to the cabin where the mill wheel once stood.

The cabin is a guest house with full kitchen and full bath on the first floor. The second floor houses a queen bed with pillow top and a half bath. The waterfall sounds lull you into relaxation. The spa/massage studio on the first floor is available for booking treatments during your stay, otherwise locked. Pictures show a full futon in the spa studio which is not accessible to guests. You can also further relax in the outdoor hot tub during your visit, with evening hours ending at 10PM.

Pets are not welcomed as many guests have allergies.
The property is secluded and the cabin is located about 60 feet behind the house, in sight of the house.

There are no phones, TV, cable, or other distractions in the cabin.
There are plenty of nature sounds and walks available. WIFI is available in the cabin.

Two bedrooms, not big but comfortable,one pretty bathroom,a spacious living room,a stocked kitchen,a beautiful porch with windows and sliding doors,spacious laundry room and pantry with coffee maker,blender,ninja pan etc, front porch to sit and have a wine.

Guests can use any parte of the house that is open respecting the places that says privet.
