Welcome to Sandy Bottom, where we want to make vacationing affordable and relaxing. This is a comfortable beach-themed home located in a quiet neighborhood in the wonderful city of Orange Beach, Alabama. This clean, cozy home is located about 5 miles from the beach, and just a few minute’s walk to Bear Point Marina and OSO restaurant (0.8 miles). Barometer Tiki & Raw Bar is located at Safe Harbor Sportsman Marina and are just about a mile and a half away.
This quiet home away from home features 2 bedrooms, 2 bath with plenty of room for your family to spread out, relax and entertain. The home has a beautiful kitchen with plenty of cookware items to meet your needs while on your stay. The dining table seats five. The living room is neatly arranged for television viewing and family/friendly conversations. One couch will fold out for into a queen memory foam sleeper and other 2 are full sized sofa. There is also plenty of room in the living area to add an air mattress for additional guests.

Both bedrooms have queen sized beds. All beds are dressed with comfortable white linens. We have 2 full bathroom with tub/shower combination made of cast iron tub with cultured marble surround and cultured marble vanity tops. We have plush towel sets of 6 in the bathrooms for your comfort. The place is also equipped with a washer, dryer and dishwasher to make living easier while you enjoy your stay.

The outside of the house it is equipped with a very large covered area that includes a quiet seating area with patio lights, charcoal pit and a gas grill.
There is plenty of parking to accommodate 3 vehicles and still room to park your boat.

Provided are two beach chairs and beach towels for your use.

It is within walking distance of the beach if you are an adult in good physical condition, and there is a shuttle that runs constantly if you prefer to ride. The beach club provides up to four chairs and two umbrellas for the beach. The unit itself is extremely clean, comfortable and extremely well-done with washer, dryer, nice kitchen, a grill - everything to make your stay just like home. - "Nice townhome. Quiet neighborhood. Shuttle back and forth to the beach was easy, reliable and appreciated. Pack beach chairs, toys and umbrellas as the beach service was only offered on Saturday and Sunday (the first week of April)." - "Furnished with basic necessities. Wonderful location and the porch was just perfect! Unfortunately due to the position of the townhouse, the gulf breeze isn’t felt much from the porch or patio, but this didn’t effect us having a great time! Only downfall was the keep parked in the garage. We rented a golf cart for our stay and had to keep moving our personal vehicle throughout the day to park the golf cart inside the garage (per HOA rules). I believe we could have pulled our vehicle completely in had it not been for the jeep parked there. But this was only a inconvenience. Overall great property."

- "The property was clean, modern & had all the amenities you could ask for in a home base for a Perdido Key beach vacation. The neighborhood is clean & quiet. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. The only single issue (which is no fault of the property mgr at all!!!) is the parking for the nearest beach access. It’s tiny & often full. We never utilized the shuttle to the beach club due to our desire for flexibility. But I gladly give an overall rating of 5 stars!"

Beautiful decor, cozy, well organized and a perfect vacation home! The garage helped with sandy beach equipment storage and was well stocked. We caught sand crabs and jellies, went on a sunset dolphin cruise and saw playful dolphins splash in the waves, went to the Hang Out and did the breakfast with Pirates and Princesses, ate yummy pizza at Paul’s Pizza, enjoyed a great meal at Jellyfish, had the best ice cream, enjoyed hours of swimming both in the ocean and pools. We all had the best time and would highly recommend Red Drum Retreat! I agree with others review. Taking the wagon over to the beach club and dropping of the family and then riding the bike is the best way to go."

Our home is the perfect space if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep, shower, and relax between beach days, exploring, and/or visiting friends and loved ones. We are in a quiet neighborhood, while off the beaten path we are still convenient to Perdido Key beaches and downtown Pensacola where all the nightlife action is!

Guest access
The kitchen, den, guest bedroom and bath are at your disposal. If you wish to sit out on the covered patio be our guest.

During your stay
We enjoy interacting with guests, if that is what they wish. If they wish to be left to themselves that is fine as well. While we use the common area regularly, our guests are welcome to join us there.

Other things to note
We have an enthusiastic and human friendly Shih-Poo dog. He may bark upon entry of the house, but that's his job! Unfortunately, he is not accepting of other animals as he has been an only “child” for half of his life. Due to this we have a no pet rule. If you have an animal traveling with you, including service animals, this will not be a good fit for you as it could cause a risk to or prevent your assistance animal from performing their duties.

I also have the privilege of keeping my awesome 2 year old grandson Monday to Friday from about 7:30 - 2 pm. We normally walk for an hour after he arrives, then head to the park. Shortly after that is nap time!!!

A beautiful water front privet apartment, DUPLEX(studio, open concept ) with a nine feet deep pool available and the beach ( only 3 min away). This is a new mobile home nicely furnished with new furniture. Each bedroom has a TV with cable and comfortable bedding. The master has a king bed with a private bathroom and shower, the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and the 3rd bedroom has twin beds. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer for your convenience. The beach is just 5 minutes away while the Navel museum is 10 minutes away. Grocery stores are just a few minutes away. Its also located on a quiet street. NO PETS

Only 15 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico! Stay where the Locals live! Check in with a hand shake, check out with a hug, true Southern hospitality here! This house is almost 30 years old..It's not perfect, but it's clean and filled with lots of Love! The first floor of this 2story home on pilings is yours, I live in the top floor, so we will be entering thru the same front door and first balcony, and living room, the kitchen is shared. Smoking /vaping allowed on balcony as it's yours privately. Your area is cooled with a remote-controlled air conditioner window unit(summer only) I find this allows you the option to make your room colder than the living room if you desire so you can make adjustments for your individual comfort level. Your room is completely private with fridge, microwave and coffee pot, tv. I don't enter your room once you checked in, bathroom also is completely private. Kitchen, dining, and living room are shared.. Although I only walk through living and dining, but do use the kitchen for coffee and cooking! Enjoy swinging in the suspension swing on your balcony ! Swim and fish nearby and watch my Dolphin friends, along with Unforgettable nightly sunsets! coolers chairs beach toys and umbrellas provided! Toss some beads into the Mardi Gras Tree! A great restaurant is right next door with nightly entertainment that ends at 9/ 10 p.m, listen from the balcony or walk over for dancing. Stroll the docks and view the boats and schedule a charter if you like! Stop and drop here if you prefer, you never have to leave with restaurant and small souvenir store minutes away. Sailing, fishing, jet ski and pontoon rentals are right next door, This is the friendliest and safest neighborhood in Orange Beach! Your chance to experience living like a local with Captain Lori.. if you dare! I aim to please, so let me know if there's anything I can do to make your stay more enjoyable! I strive to get 5 stars from all my guests! I work alot and can sometimes be hardly seen, but I always make time for my guest! I raised my children here, so yours are welcome too as well as small fur babies! Promise.. you will enjoy your stay! If anything is lacking.. please let me know! Your balcony is loved by many..locals even..and known to bring Peace to the weary. On rainy days, relax into one of the many books provided as you slumber in the suspended porch swing!

During your stay
I /we enter through the same door as you so the living room and kitchen are shared.. However.anything you need, I'm always available to you... maybe a recommendation of where is best to eat, best places to shop and attractions that are a must! I retire upstairs, you have the downstairs. learn all of the local favorite places... from a long time local!

Other things to note
Here on the island we have a very unusual septic system, so please no hair or strings of any sort down the drain! It tends to shut down our plumbing! "FLUSHABLE" wipes are not flushable here! Female toiletries may be placed in the trash in the bathroom just request and I will change that daily! I try to recycle, so outside the front door to your left there will be a large white bucket as well as the one in your room for all of your paper and plastic Goods.. .smoking is permitted on your balcony at any time . If you're leaving for the day please adjust your air conditioner accordingly it's remote-controlled and you can actually set it to turn back on at a particular time so that energy is not being wasted. As you walk in you will see to your left under the house there are beach toys skimboards umbrellas fishing poles, coolers, chairs, make yourself at home to these articles . In the bathroom you will also find several hygienic supplies those are there for you as well if needed ! The only one rule here is have a great time and let me know if you need anything! I hope that you leave here tickled & wanting to give me a 5-star rating! That's my goal!.

The space
This spacious downstairs studio is located 5 minutes from the beach. Includes pool usage. There is a comfortable queen size bed and if needed, a pull out couch.

The upstairs area is a different rental and may contain guests at any given time. The pool area and the grilling areas are shared between renters.

Guest access is via keypad on the front door. Code will be given to guest prior to arrival and changed after departure. Walk down path to the pool for pool access.
